House specials share the menu with curries, noodles & other classic Thai dishes, plus veggie picks.
My husband and I go there last night for dinner. The service is great; the food is awesome. We ordered Malee's Curry and Pepper Corn Crunchy Chicken. It was very, very good for both dishes. The restaurant vibe is nice, and the price is reasonable. I and my husband enjoyed it very much and definitely will be back.
They have gluten free options-yaaay! The dish I had was tasty...tho I don't remember the name. Personally I'd prefer a cocktail but they only have wine (maybe beer also). I'll return to try another dish tho!
Update! I returned a few weeks later with a friend. The food was great as on my first visit. However the service bordered on horrendous. The waiter seemed bothered by our presence. We noticed there was a huge amount of take-out activity and if i ever return to Malees it will be for take-out. Lesson learned.
Very happy they were open on Christmas. The restaurant was about 60 degrees inside which made for an uncomfortable dining experience. The green bean chicken was really good but portion was a bit small. The crispy roll was delicious, but again, tiny for the price. The drunken noodle with chicken - not a big fan. You know how some foods taste like certain non food items smell? Wet dog was my take on it. But my table mate quite enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly and I would go again.
The food was good but nothing I'd sprint off to go tell people about it and the portion for the price was very reasonable. I did appreciate the amount of beef that was added. Also I definitely took one star off because I asked for a level 4 out of 4 for spiciness and it wasn't even a 1. I even asked for extra chilli sauce since it was take out, I added that one and at least it added a tiny kick but nothing for me since I like getting it spicy spicy. That was very disappointing.
Malee's curry is delicious, as well as their pad see ew. Consistently yummy on all the occasions I've ordered from them.
6/9/22
Nice place.. Everyone was ordering togo. Had the Whole place to myself. There was only 1 young gal working the front. Handling the Togo's and restaurant. Which was me...lol
A couple came in later. But was a nice relaxing atmosphere.
Food was good. I ordered the beef satay. ( usually it's chicken) was good. Tender and juicy. The blood orange was a nice touch. I ordered the boat noodle soup . Was good lots of beef and tasty broth and little veggies. Ordered mine med spice. Yum. Decent price for a good meal.
Boat noodle soup. The best soup I've ever had. I'm not exaggerating. I don't normally leave reviews. I will be returning, however I don't think I will ever order anything else.

Food was great and the staff were very quick and kind.
Ordered take out. The green onions tasted spoiled and I had to cook the green beans for my green beans and tofu when I got home because they were still raw.
Amazing food! We eat at Malee’s whenever we visit Lake Oswego. The ginger salmon is a huge hit with our family.
Great fresh food
We live in Tualatin we used to go to Sawardee but they changed ownership not that good and prices are hi Get
Now we go to Lake Oswego because their food is much better distinctive taste and delicious food. The gentleman who works/owner? is great.
Absolutely delicious!!!!
I will keep returning to this establishment. the crab rangoons are SO tasty. I have to remind myself that they are too hot to eat right away. The curry or the fried rice or the pad see ew are our favorite dishes.
Expected asian cuisine service. They effectively take your order, bring you what you ordered, and if you don't flag them down, they will go about what they are doing; they're busy!
the atmosphere is interesting. some very excellent hand painted pieces on the walls, and more modern pop music playing.
Will definitely be going back the food was delicious the ambiance was spot on the hospitality was incredible 100% recommend
First time visiting. Food was fantastic!
Terrible service, the girl that work there needs chill out and the Tom yam soup is really sweet not like real Thai food way over priced
From mild to spicy options made everyone happy. The food was excellent.

Food was very good. Service was great. Atmosphere is fine, good enough for a simple date.

The service was okay and whe had one mix up on the was order. A lot of yelling in the kitchen
Everything I have ordered here is delicious and the spice levels are exact as well.
We ordered jalapeños potstickers, eggplants lovers, and classic chicken fried rice. The potstickers was tasty however its more like a dumplings in spicy sauce. The food portion is huge and the price is affordable.
The service needs improvement. One guy was managing the entire restaurant including the take out orders. We sat around for a long time and eventually gave up and help ourselves with water, take out boxes and check out.
Best neighborhood Thai spot around… quaint little seating area, great and quick service, but what really matters is the FOOD is incredible. Extremely well-seasoned, exciting dishes that make you want to try new dishes you normally wouldn’t try. “Volcano Beef” is one of the best beef and rice dish I have tried anywhere on the west coast.
Really consistent and great food, can’t recommend enough.
I don’t know why the old gentlemen is always impatient. I said “I would like to order to go” with a smile. He probably believed I wanted to pickup and left. Then I repeated I would like to order, not pickup, and he got mad again. I ordered pad thai with shrimp but he got mad again and started staring at me which I have no idea. The food is also way non-ideal than other thai food. This is the 3rd time we had bad experience here, will not come back again
I should have known this place wasn’t going to meet my expectations because it was completely empty when my husband and I walked in during a typical Friday night dinner. The tables all had glass on top of them, our had a few dead bugs between the glass and the table so cleanliness was obviously an issue right off the bat. I ordered lemon grass chicken, my Thai favorite, with veggies. The sautéed chicken had no seasoning so I was hoping the peanut sauce would save it but to my surprise it was completely floury and bland. I took two bites and had the server take it away. I then had to ask him to take it off my bill, the fact that I wasn’t offered anything else or any concern for not liking my dish was unsettling. We will not be returning here.
Perfect portions and super tasty!!!
Fantastic food. Thoroughly enjoyed every bite
The food ,the service young guy who served he is blessings ,I hope one day he own coming like that restaurant, the food was delicious we ate and took some for other partners .
5 🌟
Great Thai food. Great service.
I've lived here all my life and I have thai about once a week. So I've tried most of the thai places around and this is one of the best by far. Get the basil crab ragoon's they are SO GOOD.
Excellent 👌We had a party of 8 and everyone loved their selection.
Appetizers, Sauces, Curry, Salmon, Chicken, etc. All done very well.
Chicken pad Thai was okay, it was a little sweet for my taste. Service wasn't as friendly that day. The atmosphere was really cool, quiet, and quaint.
Would recommend! I love coconut Veggie noodle and Tom Zap here. Never see any other restaurants serve these food.
Tom Kha was outstanding.
Great place to eat! I will be back.
This place is fire. But their phone number hasn’t working and that’s a bit annoying. It didn’t used to be like that. I don’t what’s been happening, but I’ll call and the number either rings 20 times with no answer or it has a message saying the wireless number is not available.
The food is always amazing. Their Malee curry is one of the only curry dishes I enjoy. It's so multi layered .
By far, one of our favorite places to eat in the Lake Oswego area.
The Khao Soi is delicious.
The dancing string beans are delicious! Our sever was very friendly. The food was hot and fast.
Great food and excellent service
A lot of people do not like sugar in the sauce and corn starch in the stir fry. I recommend ditching that stuff.
The Green Beans I ordered to go was not fully cooked.
I love Thai food and the entire menu is amazing.
One favorite neighborhood thai restaurant.Food is very fresh and well made. The only cons is I have been trying to order the take out a few times never be successful The list number is either busy or never getting picked up.
Update
Though taking out is not convenient as the restaurant lacks staff but the food is fresh and the restaurant became my family’s favorite thai restaurant
Another ‘Best Kept Secret’!
The food is wonderfully spicy. The portions are good size, the service is top notch. Highly recommended.
Some of the best Thai food around. I recommend this place

Portions were inconsistent.
Consistently great food, lovely interior & ambiance. The kindest staff you'll ever meet.
Always get great food and service. A favorite for Sunday lunch when it's easy to get in.
The food here is amazing! I eat here all the time, maybe too much ☺️ I'm gluten free and have never had an issue eating here. Highly recommend the green curry!
I don't know what it was, but their drunken noodles dish was really bad. Didn't have any flavor and it smelled like a litter box. Will definitely not eat here again.
My entire family celebrated my birthday and every dish we ordered was outstanding, extremely flavorful and fresh . We were all blown away by the excellence of the food and the quick service: Great place for fantastic Thai food in Lake Oswego. We will definitely return soon and often!
I'd give this place six stars if it was possible!! Excellent food excellent service. I had the roasted duck curry special which I highly recommend! Made me think I was back in Phuket Thailand. 😋
This is the best Thai food in the Portland area. I have been to every Thai food place in the Portland area. I did this specifically searching for the best Thai food. There is some terrible Thai food in Portland with great reviews.
I don’t appreciate when people give 5 stars reviews because the food was “cheap”. I care about the taste. That’s what a review is for.
Malees IS the best tasting Thai food in Portland. Literally every single dish on the menu is incredible. I know good food. This is good.
Coconut shrimp good .. pot stickers were excellent.. chicken pad Thai was less than average with chewy noodles.. The server was very attentive and polite
Serving sizes were small compared to value! The paintings art and memorabilia somewhat made up for that.
Local family favorite, easy and quick take out, great choices
A long time favorite. We dined in for the first in almost two years. After several carryout dinners in boxes, the dine in service and meal presentation were fabulous.
Easily some of the best Thai food we’ve had. Everyone is friendly & accommodating, the service is fast and reliably delicious and fresh. Malee’s curry is my favorite so far.
I can only say that this place has the best service and the best curry! Their Mallee curry is awesome! So is their pad kee mao, tom kha soup and string bean chicken. I love it each time I go there! It's my family's favorite Thai restaurant in the Lake Oswego and Tigard area.
Sometimes amazing, sometimes average...
Sometimes this place is the best spot in town. Other times, it can be average... Wish there was constancy. However, the jalapeño pot stickers are always AMAZING
Excellent experience delicious lunch
Really good Thai food! You won't be disappointed...
High quality Thai food. Fast service, and reasonable prices.
Malees has the best Pad Thai ever had. This is coming from somebody who actively seeks to try Pad Thai from new restaurants as much as possible. Malees does an amazing job at preparing each dish with amazing flavor and precision.
The service is courteous and prompt, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the food is extraordinary! The ingredients are very fresh. Mild is truly mild, and spicy is as spicy as you wish. The Pad Thai Lemongrass Chicken is the best Pad Thai I have ever had. My SO had String Bean Chicken and loved it. Don't miss this one!
I love this place. My third time here.i recommended the jelopeno pot stickers. Yumm but be careful I ordered my lemongrass chicken salad medium plus on the hot scale and it was so hot my tongue swelled up. Order your spicy level lighter than you normally would.
All of our favorites are here and they’re hot, baby!Pad Thai, prik king, pineapple fried rice were delicious and fiery. Curries are boldly flavored and so good. The mango sticky rice had good flavor, but the rice was overcooked and rubbery. In fairness, we ordered just before closing. I’d try it again. We will be back!!
They own the pad thai business.
Great 👌🏿 food
Best pad Thai and drunken noodles!!!
If you order take out CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE LEAVING. they staple the bag closed and twice have left out parts of the order. When I called to call it out, they said just tell them the next time I order and they will add it then. Oh but how will you remember? We’ll remember they said. So I did and magically and not surprisingly, they did not remember. What a joke.
Try the Bangkok beef!
Great food. Jan 2021 no dine in.
It was okay. The price to quality of food ratio is waaay off. I got some pretty dry and bland pad kee mao. Also my boyfriends dish was dripping all over the bag. So.... Not so pleased.
Quaint little restaurant with good, flavorful food. The Panang Curry with Bell Peppers is very good, but somehow there is a huge amount of sliced carrots in the dish and just a couple of slivers of peppers.
The dish would benefit greatly from the delicate flavor of red, yellow and green bell peppers without the carrots.
The Chrysanthemum tea is deliciously delicate.
Prices are very reasonable.
The staff is extremely courteous and attentive. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing.
A great little gem tucked away on Boones Ferry Road.
The best tom kha soup I've had. The pad thai was creamy and the portions were great. I had plenty of leftovers and the service was fantastic!
Really good!
Amazing food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
If you LOVE Thai food, MUST try this their food.
Unfortunately I wasn't impressed with my experience at Malee's. The food was very so-so. Had to send back a salad that was made with too much fish sauce, the mango sticky rice was overcooked and mushy and covered in way too much sauce, asked for extra mushrooms in soup and only received what I would call a normal amount but charged extra. We were the only patrons in the restaurant but the service was sluggish and felt rushed to leave.
Won't go back as there are many other Thai restaurants in this area that are much better all the way around. I wanted to like it and had been wanting to check this place out for a long time but as a foodie I just felt it fell short of other local options available.
Pretty delicious but kinda on the spicy side.
Good fresh food, easy pick up. Perfect for that - nothing in the house for dinner evening.
The food is always great. I do feel super wimpy when I eat here though because the food is deliciously extra spicy. If I put away my ego and get mild spiciness, I dont regret it. Great flavor.
The food here is out of this world! Tried three different dishes and not one was less than amazing. Drunken noodles, golden cashew wok fry, and the crab fried rice, I made sure to have leftovers so my whole family could try. I will always come here for my Thai food when I’m in the area, service was fast and friendly
Called in around 5:15 pm ordered to go then waited for over 1 and half hour still no food!
They said they gave our order to grabhub then also took really long time to remake our order. It’s a joke!
This is by far my favorite place for Thai food. I’ve eaten at many Thai restaurants and none really compare. The food is exquisite. I could not duplicate these flavors at home; this is a real eating out experience. Every dish I’ve tried here I have fallen in love with. I truly cannot pick one ‘favorite’ dish.
By far the best thai place in the area. I'm so happy they're on postmates now!
Wonderful restaurant run by wonderful people. I get the vegan tofu pad Thai every time because it’s perfect. The Buddha’s feast, pad see Lew, and Massaman curry are all top notch as well. Just be clear about your dietary needs and they’ll set you right, couldn’t recommend enough.
I've been going to Malee's for years, used to call them Singha. I really like these guys and their food, and they've been very good to me. I always get the same two dishes, red curry and pad ped, usually take out. I've dined in at the restaurant a few times, it's a nice, welcoming place if a little small, parking can be a challenge. Since I got introduced to Thai food a little over
10 years ago, I've had several different favorite restaurants as I moved around. Malee's food is consistently up there with my best experiences.
One of our family favorites for great food and pleasant service.
Best Thai in Lk Oswego!
Tastes amazing! You get a lot of food! Very delicious!
Food was great - some of the best Pad Thai I’ve tried in Portland. Have been on the hunt for good Pad Thai since moving here and have tried it 7 or 8 places in the past few months. (Just too bad this is all the way out in Lake Oswego). Medium was spicy enough to qualify as medium, but probably on the low end of that spectrum. Service was rather slow and inattentive, though, and we were the only two people in the restaurant at 5:00 on a Tuesday. So, I’d highly recommend for take out. But less so for dine in.
Wonderful food, served quickly and in generous portions. The service was great too.
My first visit here, had the pad Thai and it was very good. Take out was fast.
Love their food, but unexpectedly got hit with a .20 cent fee for a bag that I didn’t ask for, nor was I given an option to not take. Annoying in principle.
Great food, great Atmasphere. Hard to relate with food options, more pictures on menus would be nice.
Food was delicious and place was quiet for a Saturday evening.
Chicken pad Thai was delicious. Only thing I would have done differently is: they have a heat scale of 1-5. I ordered a 3 and it wasn't spicy at all. I'd go with 4-5 in the future.
Great lunch service and food tasted really good!
A little pricey, service is okay, but we love the food. Nice and spicy and comes in a good amount.
I Love their Tom Yum soup. Perfect for cold weather and a sick family.
This place is one of the two best thai restaurants in Lake Oswego. So good, and they're super nice too. Nice atmosphere eating in the restaurant, but I often get takeout from here too.
Always so good, and friendly service!
Great find. Their food is very good.
The first bite of chicken I had in the Hakka Noodle was cold. But the rest was hot and had good flavor. I did find a small hair when I was almost done w my meal. But I know that can happen, although should be rarely. I'm willing to try this restaurant again
Food was awesome. We travel alot and eat at Thai Restaurants atleast weekly. This restaurant had many unique entrees I had never seen anywhere. I will always stop here when traveling thru so I can try the others. This time we had the Volcanoe Shrimp & the Beef Salad with their Chicken Wings as an appetizer and of course Thai ice tea. Service was 👍 also! Definitely recommend you try them, you'll keep coming back.
Really really good food
Great food! Spice is perfect. Dishes are interesting. I have ordered both take out and have dined in. Both experiences have been wonderful.
Always tasty food. Very fast service.
Meh ... there are better Thai restaurants near by
amazing!! the food is so so good and so many unique dishes
Spicey, Tasty, and quiet... at a very reasonable price.
Fantastic. Flavorful. And finally, when I ask for 'spicy', it's spicy!
The service was amazing. Everything was very clean. Complimentry soup while you wait for your food! The food was btw delicious, wine is tasty. Highly recommend to thai food lovers. Although I would suggest adding appetizers and expanding the bar. Cheers!

Great neighborhood Thai place.
Best quality to price ratio Thai food in Portland.
Waited forever for the food, but the Masaman Curry and Pad se Ew were delicious. I would go again
Great food and service.
Average food, terrible service
The food was so delicious and the service was awesome! Definitely coming back
WAS: excellent
NOW: change in ownership and change in cooks. Much MUCH inferior food. After a few mediocre meals we won’t be returning. Try Dang’s.
This is the best Thai food I have had in my life. Drove 8 hrs from cali just to get the Tom Zap.
Me and my wife we Love this place. We had Tamka Gai, Panang curry and my Favourite Bangkok beef noodle which was just amazing. Giving 5 stars for the not just the authentic food but for the wonderful caring staff. Would definitely recommend any body who love food to try this place and enjoy the wonderful Thai cousine which always reminds me of home. Hope that helps.
Thai food average
Overpriced, but not bad.
