In the heart of downtown Beaverton, the restaurant features an unparalleled dining experience characterized by top tier ingredients, service excellence, and an attractive setting.
We LOVE thai bloom. We usually get delivery, but this time my mom and I went in for dinner. The staff is wonderful and I like the atmosphere, especially sitting near the bar.
Our food was delicious, EXCEPT for the spring rolls. They were completely bland unless you dipped them in the sauce. There was hardly any filling and the bread didn't taste like anything. NOT worth the price ($10). Everything else was great! The pineapple fried rice is my go to, and my mom loved the pumpkin curry (it's got some spice to it!)
Wish I would have gotten my birthday dinner elsewhere. I don't know what's happening in the kitchen but it isn't good. Only 2 of the 4 salad rolls actually had any shrimp in them. First off the drunken noodles didn't look right; since when are the noddles covered in red specks instead of the brown sauce? The seasoning on the drunken noodle wasn't right, one do the seasonings tasted almost rotten. The pad Thai didn't taste right, it did have a little tamarind flavor but they must have used some kind of soy sauce instead of just fish sauce. The pad Thai noodles weren't cooked properly, they were tough. The prawns where very chewy from being overcooked. The only thing decent was the pumpkin curry.
When I first walked in, the greeter, who was a tall guy with a beard, was not a pleasant one. I expected the worst. However, the server was very good, attentive, and kind. He checked on us several times to see if we needed anything.
Good was really good and well prepared. I ordered madman chicken curry, and my daughter got pad sealed. We enjoyed the nice environment. Will be back again.
Or only one complaint is that they placed the cutlery on the table without a napkin. Which was not sanitary.
Food tasted very good. This place has the most unique basil fried rice I have ever tasted. Till this date all the Thai places offered basil fried rice which looked similar, but here the look of the fried is completely different, the sauces they have used for making the fried rice not only changed the look completely but also enhanced the taste to a whole new level. I really enjoyed the basil fried rice here. Service was spot on.
Very good food, setup is excellent, service is v good
After eating here dozens of times, usually the food is great. That was not the case yesterday. We ordered the Pad See Ew, Basil Chicken, and crab wontons. The Pad See Ew was charred and tasted burnt as we're the wontons. The chicken basil was dry. Topped off with horrible service from Kimo. He makes no effort to ask how things are, he didn't greet us, doesn't smile, or engage. He just dropped off our check and walked away. As we observed, he was the same with all of his tables. This has been the case every time he helps us over the last year. If I was Manager, he would have been fired long ago. Hence the 10% tip we left.
Great Valentine’s Day experience while visiting from out of town. Seated by a friendly, organized hostess in under 20 minutes despite the V Day rush. The Pad Thai and Panang Curry were hot, fresh, and packed of flavor. Spot on spice level. Prompt service, plus a sweet touch—chocolate-covered strawberries and a rose. We’ll be back!

SUPER busy tonite....02.07.25. glad to wait in line...15 min,,,this food is TOP NOTCH.....not to be missed. been coming here for almost 20 yrs now...its gold. worth the wait....
Food wasn't bad. But I've had better options in the area. Service was outstanding 👏
Our favorite thai restaurant in PDX area. We have done take out and dined in this restaurant and it never disappoints! We have ordered different things on the menu and it is always flavorful and fairly priced !
Service has always been fast despite some of the times that we have been there where ithe restaurant is packed!
If you order take out on weekend nights, make sure to call 20-30mins before you want it picked up coz it gets packed inside the restaurant and they have numerous take out orders.
All time Favorite on the menu- fisherman’s fried rice, Khao soi, lettuce wraps!
Excellent stir fry and attentive service.
Very good Thai food.
Tried several times & they maintain consistency in their food quality.Their service is also good.
Very tasty food with massive portions
5 Minutes into eating my meal, I discovered what appeared to be a pubic hair in my food. I was at work so it sure wasn’t mine. Absolutely disgusted.
Pad see ew was tasty
We ordered delivery tonight via Uber Eats. My partner has a shellfish Allergy and we noted it in the comments. The staff took extra care with our order, offered incredible communication, and provided us with impeccable service. Our order arrived promptly, everything was packed and labeled meticulously, and every single item we ordered was absolutely delicious. We are thrilled to find such a local gem and we will definitely be in soon to enjoy the experience of the dining room. Thank you again to all the wonderful service and kitchen staff who took great care of us tonight!
Update: December 2024.
The only way to get decent food is dining there! Picked up a 60$ order last night. Pad Thai was not fresh made! 😡. Was like very dry, old, blah. Like it is when it's been leftover in the fridge for 2 days!
Very disappointed. We spend a lot here monthly! Shame on you Thai Bloom for sending old leftover food out for to go orders. Never have we been served pad Thai that was so disgusting when we go there to eat. They figured send it out with a to-go order who's going to bother driving all the way back! And you can't call the restaurant! When you call it's going to some call center type of place. Not to the actual restaurant!! Thai Bloom you owe my daughter and I a fresh cooked order of Pad Thai!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR $ ON TO GO ORDERS!
After my first review of 2 stars! They thank me and are glad I had a good experience?? What is wrong with these people?!
Definitely time to try a different Thai restaurant.
Good food but you need to dine in only. Since Covid we have called and ordered over the phone and pick up inside. Every time the order is wrong. Ask for no onion in the fried rice. Get more onion then there was rice. Most discusting thing ever. All you could taste is onions!! Ask for extra peanuts on the pad thai. Even that's skimpy. Barely any! With a huge amount of noodles. But then again they didn't put any!!. Ask and pay for extra plum sauce. To go with pot stickers and satay chicken. Of course we didn't get any plum sauce or the sauce that goes with the pot stickers!! $60 worth and a 8$ tip!. Omg. At this point feel robbed. Was so hungry for that dinner then nothing!! Is right about any of it. We are done giving them the chance with to go orders.
Maybe when covid is history. May go on a Sunday someday for happy hour. When we know we will have the sauces that go with the dishes. Been ripped off enough for now..
Went here for lunch with some coworkers. The smell of freshly cooked seafood greeted us ad we walked in and my our mouths water. I ordered the chicken drunken noodles, Thai spicy. The food was really good, although "Thai spicy" wasn't Thai spicy. What I liked the most about the food was how clean it was. I am sensitive to bad food, and a lot of thai places do not sit well. This place did. Tells me they use fresh stuff and no cheap oils in the kitchen. I will be back. U should give it a visit. Very nicely decorated dining area and extremely clean. Staff is all dressed nice and is on point. Didn't get refills on my water or I'd have given it 5 stars there too.
Very good restaurant with many different Thai menus.
Not bad for what I had but the automatic tips are no bueno..they'd probably get more if they didn't automatically take a tip.
Good food. Excellent service. Nice covered deck. Eating in the fresh air was great.
I'd say their Thai Iced Tea is the best I've found in the Portland area.
Many items listed as vegan on demand. Waiter seemed on the ball as to my spouse's vegetarian requests. 👍
11/2024: Still great. Went during (pretty busy) happy hour, late lunch for us. Bought several happy hour food things, smaller size allowed to order more variety. They indicated that a couple of soups could be made vegetarian / vegan, worked out well.
Their loyalty club app works out nicely too.
+
Really good Thai Food. Great service. All the staff is always so warm and friendly. Best in Beaverton.
My favorite place to get takeout from, but whenever I’m feeling social will go to the restaurant and it’s always welcoming.
Chef at this location is top tier!!! I always get my staples: green curry, Tom yum soup with prawns & Thai ice tea! Highly recommend
Food is great, portions perfect. Service on point. Can’t wait to try more plates.
Their service was wonderful. The fall special tempura spinach was beautiful to look at and delicious !
Ordered the crying tiger, which was cold (not grilled), and the crispy duck, which was dry (not roasted). Honestly, could not finish my meal so I’m not sure what the hype is with the reviews. I recommend to save your money elsewhere for authentic tastes with bigger portions.
I decide to try a very popular soup, but it was disappointing, a high price but lacking in ingredients, I would be willing to pay the necessary price when what they serve me in a restaurant is of quality and good flavor, I ordered a family size soup, tonka seafood, which only had four small pieces of squid and 2 shrimp, do they expect that with that lack of ingredients you can feed two people???? It's not even enough for one person!!!
Automatic tips for 5 people is insane and unacceptable!!! Subpar service yet forced to pay ridiculous tip amount. Talked with front and she didn’t care. Asked for manager and she ignored us. You owe us $$$!!! How pathetic is it for a restaurant to demand a gratuity for okay service. We will not be returning with our family of 8!!!
I think $17.50 plus tip is too spendy for lunch. The food and service was very good.
Definitely coming here again!
Good portions. Food was really good.
Food and atmosphere is good, service has been absolutely terrible the two times I have been there. We thought we would give them another chance from the last time, unfortunately got the same server and had the same experience. Kimo is so rude and dismissive. I'm not one to not leave a tip, but he didn't deserve one. We understand that some places must tip out bartenders and other staff though, so my friend still did. Both times that we have been in there, Kimo made us feel like we were a burden and not welcomed. We understand that this last time we showed up within an hour of closing, but we wanted to make happy hour and no where does it show that last call is twenty minutes before close. Upon seating we were not greeted with even the decency of a "hello" or "how's it going". He immediately and veryy rudely told us "just to let you know we are closing up and I am doing last call on food and drinks. So did you want to order anything?". This was at 8:30pm. He then aggressively started scraping chairs across the floor (like nails on a chalkboard), super disruptive when you are trying to have a conversation and enjoyably eat your food. He then was outside doing closing tasks and BANGED a cable (to tie the chairs up with) soooo loud on the window right by us, without even the least bit of remorse when he came back inside (like it was on purpose). Through all of this, we went from having the biggest appetite.. to none.
Also noticed that he had a completely different tone with certain other tables, compared to us--BOTH times we were in. Last time we showed up at 6pm, so it clearly didn't matter what time we were there.. we were still going to get treated the same, which was like $h!+. Overheard him and another employee talking bad about other customers, within ear reach, which is so unprofessional and shows lack of accountability from management. Read through several reviews where the owner has responded saying that they have high standards for their staff and training... This is clearly not the case. As small business owners, we really like to support other small businesses. But I can't justify doing so at this establishment when we are continuously treated so poorly... The food runner and bartender were super nice and pleasant. Wish we could have just given those two our money. At this point, we are not sure if we can bring ourselves to return...
The food was so delicious and the staff was very kind and helpful
Thai Bloom is one of our favorite Thai restaurants in Beaverton. Nice atmosphere and seating choices, great food and large menu, lots of drinks, wines and beers. We were house-sitting in Beaverton for two weeks and ate there 3 times...
Delicious Thai food and the Friday 9-10 pm happy hour was great
Food was just OK. The Fresh Rolls were kind of bland and mostly stuffed with rice noodles, the broth of the "signature" beef soup was heavy and not very tasty.
Amazing every time
So disappointed arrived they placed use in back room at 3:20 pm when we attended to be there for happy hour they then inform use we can’t order from back room only in front room, but they placed us in back and when we realized we can’t order happy hour in back room they could not accommodate us in front room WHAT A SWITCH AND BAT !!!
We sat outside
Great Thai food
Spicier than I expected in Oregon. I'll order mild next time.
BEST FOOD EVER TRUST ME....DONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE TRUST ME I MARRIED A GREEK ITS ABOUT FLAVOR. THIS IS #1 IN OREGON. BRING A SEAT BELT FOR YOUR TASTE BUDS! ENJOY YOU WONT REGRET IT......
JOHNNY AND CATHY!
I've been going here for years, the food is very good and very consistent. I no longer live in the area and I really miss getting take-out from here.
Best!!!
Good food but can be busy
Delicious curry dishes. Delicious beef salad. Great bar drinks. Noodle dishes can't be beat.
Delicious 😋
Lots of options on the menu. Great food and good service. Mango hot tea was awesome!
Went with some family and had a wonderful time. The staff was very accommodating with vegan/vegetarian offerings and the food was fantastic. From the flavorful drinks to the amazing pot stickers and ahi tuna. We will definitely be back. It does get quite busy so expect a wait, but so worth it.
Loved the mango sticky rice
We used Thai Bloom for a large catering order and it was great!
First, that is not thai tea that they sell… its simply overly sweet black tea. Thai tea has a flovor which isnt there in what they serve. Second, basil fried rice had no flavor, just oil soaked stir fried rice with two cilanthro stems.. Not going back there for sure.
Ordered the beef salad, spoke to the waitress about how I'd like the meat to 'not' be overcooked - unfortunately - it came out - overcooked. Seasoning was just okay. It took a long time for the food to come out too, we had 8 in our party. Perhaps it was an off day. I really wanted to come back but sadly I don't think I will.
I just ordered chicken potstickers and drunken noodles off the happy hour menu. Both dishes were disappointing to say the least. The potstickers were just dumplings thrown into the deep fryer and over cooked. Nothing resembling a potsticker (crusty pan fried bottom with soft top half). The drunken noodles were burnt and tossed so badly in the wok that all the wide rice noodles were shredded. The sauce was orange and did not resemble the carmelized soy and garlicky flavors. I returned this dish. And they did not charge me for this. I'm not sure I will return based on this experience. I have enjoyed my previous meals here but I have not been back in over a year.
Used to taste better. Pad thai was dry and flavorless.
If you like real Thai food don't eat here. This place has really changed Thier quality .. it used to be one of my favorites
We sat at the bar and ordered delicious cocktails to go with our incredible dinner. Highly recommend this place!
Went there for the first time with group of friends and family. We tried different foods and some of those were good and plenty in quantity, but quality was nothing exceptional compared to price. I tried the roasted duck curry and it tasted as if the roasted duck was frozen for long or cooked in used oil, it was not fresh for sure. My other friend had the same feedback. I feel bad wasting foods, but I could not eat this. So, will not recommend the roasted duck to others. Compared to the curry, crispy duck was better.
The quality of the Spicy Chicken with Basil was lacking. For $20 the chicken should have been delicious, but it was no better than gas station quality. Bland and watery. Thankfully, it was spicy, but at these prices there’s no excuse for the quality. Feels like a ripoff.
To start, when we entered the restaurant we were not greeted right away. I have never waited so long at a sit down with such high prices before being greeted.
After being seated the waiter came to get a drink order and his cologne was so pungent I could barely breathe. Not only was the smell offensive, but it triggered an asthma attack and lingered in the air.
The same waiter then proceeded to take the table seated after us' order before ours, though we were ready. It was obvious that the other couple were regulars and were checked on frequently, while our table seemed to be far less of a concern.
We ordered Pad Thai from their "happy hour" menu and were charged for the dinner plate. The raspberry lemonade was overly sweet and so full of seeds it was not enjoyable to drink.
Sad to say the food was sub and I feel as though the food quality and portion along with the service did not adequately reflect the prices on the menu. Unfortunately I will not be bringing my business back.
Food is great, service is quick. Good selection of drinks too. Like this location better than their Portland or the food cart one in terms of quality of food.
Got Massaman Curry Beef and it was great. Good sized portion with plenty of meat. Pleasantly surprised with excellent peanut flavor in beef. Have a new favorite Thai dish. Also got crab wontons and they were stuffed with real crab—just wonderful.
Their Pad Thai is very good. So good that even heated up the next day it was delicious.
Really loved the food! Every single item that we order was top notch! Visiting during the happy hour made it even better. The service was great too, we didn’t have to wait long to get the foods. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone :)
Best curry ever!
Seafood Slam Curry! Packed with juicy scallops, shrimp, and well seasoned mussels. Meatball and calamari appetizers were a meal in of themselves. Excellent dining opportunity.
Tom Kha soup was delicious 😋
Setting: clean and well remodeled resteraunt
Food: premium price, but good quality.
I had the crispy duck, chicken pad Thai, crab puff, and mango with sticky rice. And of course a Thai ice tea.
The meal was delightful and well timed. The courses were not over cooked, or held too long in the kitchen.
Job well done on the launch of your new location.
I wouldn't know how good the food is. I stopped by on my lunch break to order something carryout. The first host/waitress sees me as she is seating some lady and doesn't come back. I wait. Then 2 more waitresses see me but they are too busy talking to each other to help me. I stood there for 15 min without being acknowledged.
Delicious Thai
Basil fried rice was outstanding!
Everything is good!
The food is good but nothing to write home about and it's so expensive. And a tip on top of that for ordering pickup. Why? I have found a smaller setting with Thai food (Red Onion) on 23rd that I'll be going to from now on, just as yummy with huge portions but doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
I was not a huge fan of them when they first opened years ago, but I have since given them more chances. I have to say they are really good! Big fan. Only downfall is pricing, but you get what you pay for and they do have a happy hour. EDIT 2022: They have THE BEST crab rangoons I have ever had any where. Their curries are the best and Pad Kee Mao/See Ew is amazing. Happy they have the app which gets points because this is my pregnancy craving and I spend a lot of money here lately 😅 I gotta give them credit they have been consistently delicious since 2019 even through COVID, while a lot of other places have gone down in quality/quantity while raising prices. Thai Bloom has stayed delicious and portions are still generous.
**EDIT 3/2024**
So I've ordered from them twice past 6 months and both times were bad. Quality has slipped and prices have increased. I ordered Pad See Ew w Tofu/Veg and the veggies were gross and didn't mesh with the dish... No option for just tofu, though. My soup was also very mild although I ordered hot. For the price point I'll go somewhere else unfortunately. They also charged me an extra $2 after I ordered because they would deliver at 4pm which was dinner portions even though I placed my order at 2:45PM. So... that seems odd.
Great for family dining! Food came exceptionally fast.
I had a prawn salad, can't remember name on the menu. Delicious!
Great flavor profiles. Large portions. Clean restaurant with a comfortable atmosphere. Nice staff. The parking lot was cramped.
A great thai place near Portland. We tried their Vegetable spring rolls, Tofu Pad Thai, Chicken Satay, Spicy Chicken wings and Thai iced tea. The spicy wings were simply awesome. Perfect crunch along with their sweet and spicy sauce. The peanut sauce was amazing. Vegetable spring rolls were not great and you could miss out on that. Pad thai was good, nothing exceptional but nothing to complain as well. But for those used to eating spicy food, thier spice levels are not high and you might want to opt for their spice level 4. Tea was decent. I am giving them 4 starts only for their spicy wings and peanut sauce.
Best Pimeapple Curry I've ever had! Super delicious! And Rambutan??! Never experienced that before! Amazing!
The Pad Thai is very basic, no peanuts, no peanut sauce, no egg (or so little I never noticed) and not much flavor. I’ve had a few other dishes too over the last year, all were basic. Price is high for what you get. Staff is friendly.
Good Thai overpriced
Wonderful food. Delicious!
Good food
Very good Thai bloom, every dish is great
Food was very good.
Must try pineapple curry and drunken noodles
We have been here in the past, but at that time, the bar was located in the middle of one floor, which made it feel very spacious. This time, the floor was divided from the entrance to the right and left, and we were guided to the area on the right where the bar was located. It was a small space and all the seats looked comfortable. We had the Drunken Noodles and BBQ Pork with Egg Noodles. We had them both on medium spicy, which was quite spicy 👿🔥, but both were very tasty. The only drawback is that it is a popular restaurant and it seems to be very busy, so it is very slow to serve not only the food but also the drinks while waiting for the food to be served.😫🍸🍷🍺🍹
The menu is extensive, so I’d like to try many of the other dishes on the menu.🤤
12/31/2023
We decided to have our last lunch of the year here because it was so good last time. We enjoyed Garlic Pork and Seafood Medley with wine🍷 and cocktails🍸. Both were spicy and delicious. I am looking forward to trying many other dishes.🤤
This is my favorite Thai place in the Hillsboro/ Beaverton area! I’m always impressed with the seasonal specials and love how much seating they have!!
We were disappointed with the overall experience. Especially the food. Ordered the combo appetizer & drunken noodles. Both tasted very bland. The service was ok. Usually, we expect quite a bit of conversation with our server whenever we eat out but didn't get that. Idk. Maybe we could blame it on the rain?🤷♂️
Excellent food. Excellent service. We were also very pleased to see the staff handle dishes with high standards of cleanliness (not putting their fingers at the top of the water glasses where our mouths go, not grabbing the chopsticks at the ends where our mouths go).
This is how it's done. Will definitely return.
Always enjoy the food. One of my favorites when I stop in town!
My date suggested this and I wasn’t expecting much in a strip mall in Beaverton, but it may have been the best Thai food I’ve ever had? I was totally shocked.
My wife and in-laws love Thai food, and Thai Bloom is probably the best Thai food place in our area. The food is always delicious, the staff is very courteous and restaurant ambience is cozy and warm. Highly recommended if you are into spicy/Thai food.
Nice quiet place for lunch, good service
Delicious food!
Nice cozy establishment and the food is great! I love their expansive list of teas, as well.
Food is just okay. I got the kao soi noodles.
Pro: Great decor and atmosphere. Staff is constantly busy at times, but mostly friendly. Has a separate bar section for drinks. Clean restroom.
Con: Ready? Here goes..Food is average and not flavorful. Trust me, I am very qualified to rate Thai cuisine and my conclusion is either they tweaked down the flavors to cater to the American taste buds or there's a Latino cook in the back kitchen with a Thai cookbook. Noodles were clumpy and broth didn't have consistency. Stir fry came out cooling warm and mild for a spicy dish. So their spice level gauging is off and you'd have to ask for some extra (again, go easy on Americans?). They don't even have a real deep soup spoon for entree soup dish, serious!?🥄. Bro brought out a bunch extra regular spoons that I already have and the little weakass circle spoon like I'm having a cup of chowder, lol. With their menu priced higher than most of the other Thai restaurants nearby, you'd think they would standout but it's rather mid.
Pretty good place to get food at in Beaverton area. The wait can be sometimes pretty long depending on when you go (day/time), but is worth it. Very expansive menu with lots of options.
Very good Pad Thai
Cocktails took way to long & my salad came out with entree.
Thai Bloom has top notch food and service. Go there. You will love it.
Always good
The truth. I didn't like it. I don't recommend it at all. Poor service. They wouldn't even let me eat on the spot. Really after eating. Need to go to the bathroom urgently. Not pleasant at all.
The massuman beef and green curry with salmon were good, but everything else was very disappointing and VERY overpriced for the quality. The water they brought out tasted like old pipes and a filter that hasn't been changed in years.
best place ever!!!
Food isn't bad, just average but more expensive then average. After receiving the bill and tipping only 15% because of very poor service it still seemed overly expensive. I did not review the full bill until the following day (which was my fault). They had already added a mandatory 18% gratuity...for 5 people, which I wasn't informed of. So I ended up tipping 33% for really poor service and average food. This was partly my mistake but I would advise patrons to be careful of this establishment.
I highly recommend this place for everything from the food to the staff. They take the time to get to know their regulars. I became quite the regular and they were always so attentive when I needed anything from take-out to dining in. They took the time to ensure my food intolerances were carefully catered to. I even had my birthday and farewell parties there. Amazing staff and food. See you all again soon!
