Inspired by Thai, Chinese and Japanese cultures, we add our special twist to each dish we create. Our goal is to be fresh, fast and friendly, providing top Asian cuisine, cocktails and service.
I really like this place! They have a great sushi selection, and their plate offerings were very good. The espresso martini was lovely. The sushi roll I purchased left a little to be desired flavor wise, but it was very fresh. Thank you for letting us come and celebrate my friend's birthday!
It's a smaller restaurant with a cozy atmosphere, but the food was great & the service was excellent. Our server Emma was very warm & kind. She made great recommendations for our food choices. The egg roll was one of the best that I've had in the Columbus area! Would definitely recommend!
It’s very rare I leave a non-positive review, but this felt warranted. I just got home with a pickup order of two dishes of the red curry. One medium and one extra spicy. Both dishes are completely tasteless and it looks to be just veggies smothered in vegetable oil and coconut milk. Absolutely zero flavor and not something my wife or I can eat. Tried something new instead of our usual Thai spots, but it definitely didn’t work.
I’m hopeful it was just an off moment or a mistake as most reviews look good. I give it two stars instead of one because the staff I interacted with was friendly.
STAY AWAY!!! Please don’t support this business. The food is sub par and they are blatantly terrible to their employees!! There is another review from about month ago where a customer witnessed the owner reprimand an employee for a dine and dash incident, by making THE SERVER pay for the food! Without a doubt I know this to be true because I witnessed something similar last week!! A person in our party of 5 attempted to send something back because it tasted off and we overheard the manager tell the employee that they’d be paying for it! I’ve never even heard of something like this. Luckily we got the server’s attention and told them we had no problem with it staying on our bill. My heart breaks for the abuse the staff must endure when customers aren’t around. If an employee happens to read this, file a claim with the better business bureau. You don’t deserve this treatment!!
I am honestly disappointed with my experience here. The management was incredibly rude, and it’s hard to understand how the staff can put up with that kind of behavior. As for the food, it was just average—nothing to get excited about. There are plenty of other great options around, so I won’t be coming back here anytime soon!!Not Recommended!
The best to all who work their. Best place to go always fresh & good
Great service, delicious food! Never had a bad meal here.
This is my favorite spot in town to get sushi. It's always fresh and tastes delicious. I've got other items on the me j before but it doesn't add up to the quality of their sushi rolls. They have a decent selection of beer too with craft beer options.
Stopped for lunch and not disappointed.
I had the ginger chicken with fried rice. So much flavor!
Affordable, and a great menu selection.
If you love sushi this is a place to go for sure.

The food was great, but the service was better. Emma was one of the best server I've had in a while. She was very knowledgeable, polite friendly with just the right amount of attention. I would highly recommend this restaurant
Excellent food. And good beer Selection
Always consistently amazing!
Stopped it this afternoon for the first time. I’ve heard great things about this place. Greeted promptly and sat. Drink order arrived quickly. Appetizer arrived quickly. And order arrived quickly. However both my date and I noticed the fish in the sushi rolls we ordered was not up to standard. I’ve never had a salmon roll like the one I had today, tasted and looked like tuna purée. The fish was mushy, but we gave the benefit of doubt and consumed. Dessert was good, mochi ice cream. I also noticed on my receipt if you forget to give a tip or leave it blank they will charge you 18% gratituty, I left a tip, but that doesn’t seem right.
I’m gonna give them another go in the future but won’t be getting the sushi.
Best sushi and kani salad we’ve ever had! Can’t wait to come back
Amazing service but food needs improvement please.
Great food
I am appalled and disgusted by what I witnessed at your establishment last night (December 1). While dining with a few of my coworkers, we saw a blatant case of dine and dash. What infuriates me to my core is how this situation was handled by your staff and management.
The poor server—a young college student trying to make an honest living—was forced to cover the cost of the meal out of her own pocket. Let me be perfectly clear: this is utterly unacceptable and beyond disgraceful. Why should she, someone who likely earns minimum wage and is just trying to get by, be punished for the actions of inconsiderate customers?
What’s even more infuriating is the audacity of your management. I have seen the owner of this restaurant strut around frequently, head to toe in designer clothing, flaunting a lifestyle that clearly doesn't include any concern for the well-being of their employees. Yet, they apparently can’t find the decency or humanity to cover the cost of a stolen meal. The hypocrisy is astounding.
This entire situation reflects the sheer lack of respect you have for your staff. If you think this is an acceptable way to run a business, you are sorely mistaken. A restaurant is nothing without its workers, and treating them as disposable or forcing them to shoulder losses caused by others is inhumane and abhorrent.
I will never be stepping foot in your establishment again. Not only that, but I will make sure to tell everyone I know about this incident. Your lack of ethics and basic decency is not something I can, or will, support. Expect my business to go elsewhere—somewhere that values and respects its employees as human beings, not just tools to exploit.
Do better.
Food comes quick, great menu options and portion size. It was delicious, as always!!
Typhoon Asian Fusion is a gem for anyone who loves sushi and bold, innovative flavors. The restaurant offers a modern, inviting atmosphere with a sleek design and a lively yet relaxed vibe, making it perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions.
The sushi at Typhoon is nothing short of exceptional. Every roll is crafted with care, showcasing the freshness of the ingredients and the chef’s expertise. The menu offers an impressive variety, from classic favorites like the California Roll and Spicy Tuna to more adventurous options like the signature Typhoon Roll, which perfectly balances creativity and flavor. The sashimi is melt-in-your-mouth fresh, and the presentation is nothing short of artful.
Beyond sushi, the Asian fusion dishes on the menu are equally enticing. Options like the Pad Thai, General Tso’s Chicken, and Korean BBQ Short Ribs bring vibrant flavors from across Asia to the table. The portions are generous, and the flavors are consistently on point.
Service is warm and attentive, with staff happy to make recommendations or accommodate special requests. Whether you're a sushi enthusiast or simply looking for a fantastic meal with diverse options, Typhoon Asian Fusion is a top-tier destination that will leave you planning your next visit.
Best sushi I’ve ever had. Super fresh, great environment.
the food and atmosphere was all very good. we enjoyed it very much
Food is great! But not a fan of the receipt telling me they will charge a 18% gratuity charge if a tip is not left. So really if I left cash as a tip and the card doesn't reflect a tip. You could in theory charge a tip there too. It has been done at other places. Therefore it's hard to trust a company threatening to give a server more than they may not deserve.
Sushi is really good! the restaurant was super cute, I took my order to go but def want to come back and have a drink at the bar the lady that helped me check out was super nice.
Used to really love this place and went regularly. However, it seems the food and service have gone a bit downhill. The crab rangoon does not seem to have any crab in it whatsoever, just cream cheese. The sushi is still great. But the past few visits, several random pieces of chicken in our dishes are extremely dry. Like, feels like bone or wood dry. I don't know if it's overcooked or just bad quality meat. For the price, I would expect the better quality like it was in the past. Service definitely went downhill as well. No one lately seems personable, friendly, or very attentive. Hopefully things can get back to how they used to be here as it was one of our favorites!
Stopped in here on a whim when I was having a craving for some asian food and didn't really like the star ratings for the 1 $ sign places, so went with this place. I was expecing the $$ double money sign to be a sign of this place being somewhat expensive, however, I think it was actually very fairly priced. Most entrees were 8.95 up to $13ish. I really thought that was very fair compared to most asian restaurants I've been to throughout my life... granted that's throughout several states....
The food portions were hefty. I ordered the dinner size sweet and sour chicken with a side of white rice and side of lowmein. My fiance ordered the shrimp fried rice. The sweet and sour chicken portion was HUGE!!! The low mein side was a hefty portion as well.
The shrimp fried rice was an adequate portion ... but ... there was like 3 peices of shrimp in there... so that was odd... my fiance insisted I don't say anything so I didn't... but I typically would have expected more shrimp ... no matter how large the sizes of each individual shrimp are.
I didn't like that when I asked for a little more sweet & sour sauce to-go they said they'd need to charge me... kind of odd thing to charge for. Although... they didn't charge me for extra veggies in my entree... so ... I can't figure out the logic here.
The service was ... sub par. It was 4pm when we visited and the bar tender was the only person on the floor and I had to try to yell across the restaurant to ask about the drinks and order. The drinks arrived FAST so that was nice. We were not checked on at all after we received our food so that was odd. We didn't have to wait long to get our check after we were done eating so it seems as though the bar tender was keeping an eye on us regardless of the lack of check-ins.
The food was ok. The sweet & sour chicken was standard taste because of the sauce, however, I totally loved that they brought it out with the sauce on the side so it kept the chicken nice and crispy wihtout getting soggy.
The lowmein was a little underwhelming... I ended up not eating it at the restaurant and taking it home to fancy up with some spices and soy sauce, which ended up being excellent once I enhanced the flavors!
As we were finishing up, it seems as though one of the owners came out to work the bar. The reason I thinks he was the owner was because she was extremely friendly and welcoming and when I almost left my favorate jacket she stopped me and I was SO thankful. She just had that.... above and beyond touch... so... hopefully she rubs off on her staff! :)
Overall.... alright. Might be back... but wouldn't be my first choice before trying the others in town to assess the competition.
The sushi was great!
I’m a big sushi lover, and ordered their sushi combo entree. Tasted great but made me sick for around 24 hours
Terrible customer service. Hung up mid conversation.
The food was excellent. I’d been warned the service might be sub-par but my experience was first class.
The food is absolutely amazing along with the service! They have a patio in the heart of downtown Delaware.
The sushi I got was crunchy roll but was overcooked.
Truly an Asian fusion from the menu to the decor. Everything was good, great location. The crab rangoon was done very different, served in little crunchy bags basically, the ratio of to cream to crisp was off (way to much cream cheese). I will definitely go back, but I wouldn’t order the crab rangoon again.
We were promptly seated. Drinks were ordered right away and our server was great.
Went to use the restroom and saw that no one in the kitchen was wearing gloves. I even saw the food runner cough in his hands and proceeded to like he never did. That raises questions on sanitation. Food took quite a bit. Our simple appetizer was forgotten as an app and was going to be sent with our main course had I not asked. Food took an hour and after it came, my son’s food had been sitting in the window waiting to be run. We had to ask about that as well.
Food was made fresh. Needed more workers. Service was a little slow. Didn't get service until almost 30 minutes. Prices were okay. Atmosphere was dark inside. Everyone was friendly. Bathrooms were clean. Not a first date place. Delaware is a quiet little town where you can relax with no worries. For excitement, go to Columbus.
Everything about Typhoon is amazing the sushi is the best sushi I’ve ever had!
Fantastic kitchen creations. Quality service. Adequate and comfortable seating and atmosphere. I have lunch here multiple times a week, it is one of the tastiest and most affordable options in the area. Fast Food garbage will cost you more than the hand crafted dishes being offered at Typhoon. Don't skip it.
Went in for lunch and I guess that's my fault? Staff was unengaged or communicative, one server was doing basically everything and you could tell she wasn't supported right. Bar wasn't set and drink took a while but luckily it was good. The food out right sucked. I saw a special for karage so I figured a special would be special. It was the most bland little pieces of chicken I thought it was cat food. It wasn't even served with sauce or anything even though the plate had a spot for it so.
Will not be going back as nothing there gave me a reason to and I'm shocked how many people said it was great.
Green/grey tuna. Enough said.
The people working were very nice, helpful and the food was wonderful! The Dragon sushi roll was amazing, I could have eaten so many!
Went for a late lunch with my son. Got a little bit of everything. Spider roll was a hit with him. He got the udon noodle dish. It was MASSIVE and flavorful. I ordered the curry and added shrimp. Their shrimp is HUGE and plenty. Whatever you choose you must try the fried rice. Fantastic. We had entire dining room to ourselves at 3pm.
Always a great choice for excellent food.
Best Crab Rangoon I've ever had. All the sushi rolls we've tried have been very good as well.
Very food didn't get what the fusion was though. A wide variety of sushi and other dishes to ch5ose from.
Always the best in Delaware
I've been visiting Typhoon off and on since they opened. I've lived in Los Angeles and New York. I've chewed gum in a helicopter and enjoyed salt water taffy while canoeing on a fresh water lake. My point is simple. Typhoon is tasty. Delaware is lucky to have such a wonderful restaurant.
Great food. Extremely poor service every time we go. Tonight the waitress took our order and we never saw her again (someone else brought food, no refills, no one asking if we need anything or if food was okay). I had to go to the bartender to ask for our check. He apologized for the bad service to us which was appreciated.
This was my second time to dine here. My first time was not a good experience. I ordered a rice bowl meal and it was loaded with sugar. My daughter's meal was also very sweet. Not what I expected for an Asian meal. We decided to give it a try again a couple of years later and we were not disappointed. I ordered a Chinese entree and it was semi-spicy and not sweet. Thanks Typhoon Fusion!
Always great food and service.
Delicious and well priced
Came here the first time for some sushi since leaving Cali and while it did taste good, the meal was easily overpriced. spent 70+ dollars and couldn't even get extra sauce. the ginger came in the containers with the wasabi causing spicy ginger. only included one slice of ginger, yea just a slice. Honestly felt ripped off for it being take out. Might just order kroger sushi next time. Seems they put better care into their orders there. you guys should do more than less than the bare minimum.
I really like this place! They have a great sushi selection, and their plate offerings were very good. The espresso martini was lovely. The sushi roll I purchased left a little to be desired flavor wise, but it was very fresh. Thank you for letting us come and celebrate my friend's birthday!
Ordered take out tonight after hearing rave reviews. And honestly I’ve never been more disappointed.
Went to the small front desk to pick up my food, mind youve I’ve never been here before and no one comes to wait on me. After standing a few minutes and no one acknowledging me being there I saw my food sitting on a shelf next to the window so I just grabbed it myself and left. Never once did anyone approach me, say be right there, anything.
After driving the 6 mins back home, I opened the bag up to realize that everything was ice cold.
And not just it’s been sitting (mind you I went in 10 mins earlier than it said it would be done)
Like they didn’t cook the food, cold.
I had ordered the mixed vegetables with brown sauce and steamed rice, and there was no sauce or seasoning AT ALL on the vegetables and there were a few random pieces of tofu in the mix which was not mentioned on the menu.
The vegetables looked like they just had cleaned up whatever scraps they had and threw them into the container
A half of an onion, some green peppers, a few
Green beans, and two chunks of broccoli.
And again Cold, maybe slightly steamed earlier in the day and left to chill, and absolutely no seasoning or sauce on them.
I was stunned. I’ve never ordered food and it not even be prepared before.
I don’t know if this was some weird passive aggressive frustration for me ordering at 8:15 when they close at 9- or what but thanks typhoon for wasting my time, money, and I still had to come home and prepare my own dinner.
Food was below standard.
I previously left this place a wonderful review because Since 2016 they have served us well my daughter and I. We visit this restaurant on average of twice a week, bringing them an income of about $400 a month. Last night however, my little girl ordered their mochi ice cream and one of them was rotten so she spit it out it literally made her so stomach sick she wanted to throw up. I asked them to remove it from the bill, they refused. They said they would bring another Mochi out but they would not take the $7.50 item off my bill. I explained to them that if they didn't take it off I would never return. They didn't seem to mind my not returning. Thanks for the memories Typhoon but my daughter and I will never return to your restaurant again so I hope a $7.50 item was worth losing $400 a month. Incidentally Jed is the only good employee. You got rid of all the other ones that we like. He was not our server but he attempted to help to no avail.
Took my 8yr old and she loved it
Loved the food
Quality and quantity of the dishes are above the top! Makes P.F. Chang's look like any other fast food joint! Love this place!
Great meal. The bartender made some awesome drinks. The server was very attentive.
Good food but a bit pricey for what you are getting.
Food quality has gone down significantly since our last visit. Calamari and beef overcooked.
Great service by Amber and Dawnya! They are the best!
Service was fairly slow and the food was average. We specifically went for Sushi, and it was average at best. My husband and I each ordered a Sake, and he also ordered a beer. His same and beer both tasted stale/ had an unpleasant aftertaste. Our waitresses was very nice and very personable, service was just slow in general. Might come back to try non-sushi dishes, but would recommend getting sushi elsewhere.
Best place in Delaware, Ohio to eat! Amazing food and people. The Mala is to die for and so are the egg rolls. Affordable and consistent!!!
Very good food!! Everything was fresh and made in-house. A great experience!
We had an absolutely wonderful dinner! The sushi was amazing and the green tea flavorful. My suggestion is the creamy sweet potato sushi, it's my favorite!😉
Wish we could have called ahead for a reservation. Food was very good and service was top notch
Good sushi, especially for small town middle Ohio. Only complaint is the waitress seemed more interested in her phone and conversations with the bartender, other waitresses, and host than her tables.
The place is a little cramped but it’s got heart! Great service and delicious food. Highly recommend.
We are regulars at Typhoon (ever since we moved to Delaware over 2 years ago). This place has continued to serve us great dish after great dish.
I do have to admit, I miss Pad Thai being on the menu (it was so delicious); however, there are a plethora of other tasty options for just about any diet.
The Crab Rangoon and Sushi are amongst my personal favorite. They also know how to craft some great cocktails!
Excellent food and service. It was my first time there and I will definitely be back.
A little gem in the heart of Delaware. The food is always fresh and the service is always impeccable. Highly recommend it.
Good service and loved the food.
Great food, Great service, and the interior retained the original architecture. We'll be back.
All I can say is, I wished I lived closer
My daughter treated me to sushi for my birthday. The sushi was absolutely delicious, but the service was terrible. The waitresses were rude, and in the hour to hour and a half we were there they never even bothered to refill our drinks.
Food was delicious 😋 and plentiful
Best crab Rangoon I've ever had
Have been going here for years. Love the crab Rangoons!
Any "fusion" restaurant offers a unique dining experience where knowing your order is key, as the flavors may not align with your expectations. Their sushi rolls stand out as a high-quality choice, but the remainder of their Asian cuisine falls short of delivering genuine, authentic, or fresh flavors. My Thai curry, for instance, was disappointingly thick with stale vegetables, and I had an unfortunate bout of illness from their 'off taste' potatoes. The Chinese dishes, on the other hand, tended to be overly sweet. Despite these shortcomings, it's worth noting that Delaware's lacks of quality Asian restaurants. I still find myself returning to this restaurant when I'm in the mood for rolls, tempura, and gyoza.
One drawback to be aware of is their consistently slow service, and the frequent turnover of staff raises questions about their management practices.
Really, really good, especially the crab rangoons, which were the best I have ever had! Kinda pricy though...
Will definitely go back
Great little place to enjoy sushi or asian fusion. They were very accomodating with our picky kids helping us get steamed veggies and plain chicken. Would definitely visit again!
Very loud and waitresses didn’t have it together. Had to get up and get silverware/napkins for our table and again to get water refilled. Food was great
Amazing food
Friendly staff
Food is fresh and very tasty
Had sushi and General Tso chicken 😋 and they have the most unique and delicious crab Rangoon pouches ❤️
Food is excellent
Great sushi and sashimi, and the crab rangoon is out of this world!
I started with the sushi, which unfortunately arrived last instead of first. I would rate it a 7.1 out of 10. Next, I ordered the Thai basil cocktail, but it was returned as it turned out to be excessively sweet. I would rate it a 2.1 out of 10. However, my entree, the General Tso's, was excellent and deserving of an 8.6 out of 10. Overall, while the food was good, the service left much to be desired
We had a very nice time and the food was terrific.
Delicious food and friendly service. We enjoyed the lunch menu and had very quick service. The crab Rangoon were some of the best we’ve had. Would also highly recommend the Kung Pau chicken. Very tasty with so many flavors throughout the dish. The restaurant has plenty of seating with your choice of tables, bar or patio. The prices are also very reasonable for the quality and size of portions that you receive.
A good menu selection and food was excellent. Portions were more than enough too! The service was great too!
Service was good but had to wait for drinks till the bartender got there. Most food was really good. Sushi was a little bland.
Cucina a vista, locale piccolino ma simpatico. Pietanze gustose, particolari e molto buone.
A cacophony of culinary delights with selections for everyone = Well Done Typhoon*!*
The Mountain Roll is delicious
All around great. A bit dark inside, but that's good sometime. Nice sidewalk patio dining.
I usually set my broccoli aside when I order aisian food. The brown sauce was so good I ate all my veggies 😋
Sushi art Typhoon used to be better. After trying four rolls this weekend, I can't recommend the restaurant. The rice was mostly flavorless. The eel avocado roll was decent. Yellowtail with scallions: the flavor was off, a bit bitter. Basic tuna roll: meh, flavor not great. Hamachi Lover ($16): definitely not worth the price, it could have been a nice roll, but the flavor profile was weak except for the odd occasional bitterness.
Fabulous food, good prices. Great little place.
Ordered $38 worth of sashimi and no ginger or wasabi in my takeout order....nice
Food is wonder. Expect sufficient and diverse veggie sides.
Delicious food and nice staff
Nice place, great atmosphere. Appetizer portions were generous...more than we could eat. I feel like this was authentic food that my palette just wasn't used to. Lettuce wraps were huge and fresh but I guess I was expecting a different flavor profile. Fried dumplings were wonderful.
Even though there was a staffing shortage, I enjoyed my spicy kung Pao chicken. The hot peppers gave me a heartburn though. The taste was strong like wasabi.
I got chicken lomane. The staff was friendly and the music was chill.
Great
Great place
Great tonhave a good sushi place in Delaware!
Food and service was absolutely amazing. I didn't get pictures of the sushi we ordered because we devoured it in seconds. We almost forgot to take any pictures at all because we couldn't put our forks down the food was so good. The OWU crunchy roll we ordered wasn't mushy like other places. The portions and pricing was spot on. We ordered 2 sodas, 1 sushi roll, 2 sashimi and 2 entrees which came with rice and soup for under $60 at lunch time. And to top it off, the waitress never let our drinks get below half full before refilling them. I will definitely be going back. Dunno how I will refrain myself from going every day.
******update*****
Went again (4/8/23) and food was amazing. We got Alaskan and typhoon monster sushi roll, garlic string bean wok with beef, and thr red snapper. The red snapper I highly suggest the red snapper. It's a little pricey ($27) but the snapper is the size of your forearm and the sauce its in is an amazing mixture of flavors. I WILL BE ORDERING THAT AGAIN
We happened to be in Delaware and decide to grab lunch here. Ordered the potstickers, hot & sour soup, Japanese eggplant with beef, and some sushi rolls. The potstickers were not my favorite but the hot & sour soup was fantastic. Enjoyed the stir-fry and sushi as well. If we lived closer we'd definitely go again.
This is a GREAT little restaurant in Delaware, OH. The staff is quick and knowledgeable and the food is amazing!!
Great Food! Steph is always hopeful and courteous even when they are completely slammed
Delaware needed a good Asian restaurant
Amazing food and service! Try the crab Rangoon! It is out of this world!
Good rolls! Recommend the crab Rangoon it's a new twist on an old favorite.
Needs to expand to be better huge wait to get a table.
Food was fresh and very tasty , lots of flavors , egg rolls were really fresh and good, waiter was helpful , was a nice restaurant ....
One of my favorite restaurants of all time.
Had a wonderful time with friends from the neighborhood last night at Typhoon. The Buckeye Delite was delicious. Great wine, too. Forgot my take out soup order and the server ran after meet across Sandusky St. What service!!! Thanks.
Too many customers and not enough staff
Love this restaurant. Staff is friendly, food is delicious, drinks and tasty, and the environment is busy and alive. Really enjoy stopping in here every once in a while. The menu is diverse and plentiful, with options for just about everyone. All around a stellar restaurant.
Best sushi place Me and my husband ate at it was so nice really great staff and great prices they were quick to help us and serve us my husband is from Louisiana and loved loved this place and the bar tender was great and very nice we will be back
