I was staying at the Westin and looked up food around me and saw Lotus was close by. I’m really glad I chose it. My server was really welcoming and went above in beyond to make my meal amazing. The owner also introduced himself to me and after a lovely conversation, he gave me his homemade coconut ice cream. I usually don’t like coconut ice cream, but it was delicious. I will be back.
My husband and I ate some delicious food while visiting Cincinnati in November. The comforting cuisine and welcoming environment was exactly what I needed as we were in town for my grandmother's funeral. This is a family owned restaruant and the owner happened to be our waiter for the evening. Everything was absolutely marvelous... from the seaweed salad, spring rolls, vegetable pad Thai and our entrees of pho and curry soups. The people working were very helpful, making wonderful recommendations, and answering all our questions about the menu. The whole experience was soo amazing and to top it all off... the owner gave us free HOMEMADE cookies and cream ice cream- that they make IN HOUSE. If you want a hearty meal for the low with excellent service either to go or in house, this is the place to be. Thank you so much again and we will be back VERY SOON.
Food:
- tom ka kai (coconut chicken soup)
- pad khee mao (spicy stir fried noodles), ordered medium spicy with tofu.
All tasty! Pad khee mao is good if you want lots of chewy, saucy noodles. Soup was flavorful and rich but not heavy. I don’t eat big dinners, so the $5.50 soup would have been plenty for me, especially if I’d have gotten a small side of rice. I had plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day.
When: 5pm on a Monday, an hour before close.
Speed: Not busy at all, though they did have a bunch of people doing takeout. My takeout was ready 5-10min after I ordered. If I had sat down, there would have been plenty of 4-top and 6-too tables open.
Service: Very helpful and friendly. Waitress/ cashier answered all my questions and helped me decide what to get.
Nice place with great service. The food came out pretty quick overall.
Sushi was good according to a friend who had it.
Thai tea was delicious according to another friend.
I had the Pho and it was overloaded with noodles and very little broth which is the opposite of what it should be so I was somewhat disappointed because I enjoy the time it takes to make a good broth and the richness in the flavor of it when done right.
Overall a nice place.
Enjoy!
Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. Lotus Thai and Sushi is a welcome addition to downtown. The service here is excellent, the staff is always friendly, courteous and helpful. The food is amazing, with some of the best Thai, Asian and Sushi dishes in Cincinnati. The Ginger Chicken Stir Fry is my personal favorite, but you can't go wrong with any menu item at Lotus.
Went here for my lunch break (I work nearby as did many of the other patrons if I had to guess). I placed my order and 45 minutes later I was still waiting on food. With not enough time to eat left, I left. I have no idea how long it would have ended up taking. I have not had an issue anywhere else near where I work ordering food, getting my food and eating it and making it back to the office In an hour (give or take). Now, myself and my co-worker did not get to have a lunch. This seems like a massive failure in customer service, 1 star is deserved and a warning to anyone considering going here on a lunch break.
Phenomenal pad thai for the price. Make sure you order from their website instead of Doordash, for some reason it’s cheaper there.
The hostess/server was very pleasant and provided excellent service. She said it was her first week but it was immediately clear that she cared about doing a great job.
I really can’t believe food this good was only 12 bucks. Highly recommend.
The Thai tea is overly sweet and it tastes nothing like Thai tea. The noodle is overcooked, but at least the sushi is good.
My server Lexi was OUTSTANDING. She was so helpful with helping me understand the menu, and provided an amazing expedience. The food was amazing and I will for sure be back!

The best sushi in the galaxy 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Delicious cuisine great friendly staff! We ate and took take away!

Excellent Pad Thai and sushi
Definitely eat in person.
The absolute best Sunday Morning and Pad Thai I have ever had.
Not real fried rice at all no soy sauce no flavor at all the beef and chicken was bland n old no seasoning the yum yum sauce was trash 1.50 for ah cup that's ridiculous paid for 6 cups worst fried rice I ever had F- final grade
Menu says 11 receipt said 14.
Worth it. Delicious yellow curry.
I went here because it was across the street from my hotel and am I glad I did. I got the Pad Thai and it was delightful. The staff was SUPER friendly and nice. The food came out quickly.
Best Tea I've ever tried. Food was also really good and the service was perfect. I'll definitely make them a regular place for me.
Just ok...LOTS of curry spice...kinda pricey. You can do a lot better in Cincinnati. Lokey disappointed
Waaaaay to salty!!! Not enough rice. Waaaaaaay way too salty. Could not enjoy time to the excessive amount of salt. I use salt but this was way too much and hardly any chicken in the dish.
Visited cinci last weekend and all of the restaurants within a 15 min walk were packed. We ended up stumbling across this place. It was a happy little accident because we both love Thai and sushi. We ordered crab rangoons, mango curry and sushi rolls. The fish seemed fresh (for southern Ohio) and the flavor in everything was spot on. Thoroughly impressed with this!
My first time there and it was excellent. Great food and service!!

Wow! What a Gem 💎 . The food is fresh, and yummy. The ratio of rice to sushi in their rolls is perfect. Their prices are super affordable. The owner clearly loves what he does and it shows! The server was pleasant! The vibe is super relaxed. I would highly recommend this spot if your in downtown Cincinnati.
Ate here on 24 June for dinner, had the ginger stir-fry with chicken. Unfortunately, the chicken or something must have been off because as soon as I got back to my hotel room I started to suffer severe intestinal distress. In the ensuing 7 days, I've spent a considerable amount of time on the toilet. Thankfully it seems to be slowly subsiding, but needed to post this so patrons can beware.
Authentic, Thai-managed, fresh & familiar delicious meals. Generous portions served with a positive attitude. I dined in here for lunch Friday 21st June 2024, without booking, as a day tourist to the city, and am counting my lucky stars that I did. The sweet & sour shrimp soup (tom yum goong) hit the spot on a hot summer's day, without being burn-your-face-off overpowering. It was a relatively cheap and filling starter. The green curry with chicken (plus complimentary rice) (kaeng khiao wan gai) was as close to ordering the dish in Thailand as I have found in the USA. Sure, there were no peppercorns, round green peppers, or as much galangal as I would have liked, but the green curry paste was obviously homemade to an original recipe, lush, and had subtle elements of lemongrass, lime, kaffir, holy basil, and all the essentials, to transport me back to fine dining in Bangkok/Chiang Mai/Phuket. There were carrots, but not an obnoxious amount. The staff were happy to offer off-menu customisation (e.g. more/less fish sauce) to suit accustomed tastes. Plus they were just the sort of really nice and cool people you want to meet after you have been traipsing around ballparks, riverwalks, etc, in the hot sun. I really hope Lotus Thai & Sushi thrive, I would be happy to drive here from Dayton again just for this dining experience.
The space was larger than we expected but had mirrors to make it seem wider. My friend and I did think it smelled a little like toilet (no jokes) and laughed at how we got used to it kinda quickly. Our server, autumn, was sweet and relatable. She suggested the khow soy with chicken (pictured) and it was 9/10 awesome. I only wish it had a little more curry. At no point did I ever need a spoon but it was still really good and filling! My friend ordered the pad thai and it was a solid choice, too. Most pad thai is the same everywhere you go but this felt like it had a little more heat to it. I didn't get a picture of my volcano roll but I probably wouldn't get that again. I've just had better at that price point but that's also my personal taste. Would definitely come again.
Worst service which I have ever seeen in any restaurant
Best Thai food in Cincinnati
Fantastic red pork tom yum 😋
great food! great service.
Enjoy!
Good service, the food wasn't up to standard. The sushi was fishy, some of the rice was hard. The dishes like peanut butter chicken were soupy. One dish was way over the top with ginger. We will not be eating here again.
So, I ordered here for the first time and found hair in my fried rice dish. It was freaking disgusting. That tells me they don't wear hair nets. Also to take 30 mins to get your food when the restaurant is empty is ridiculous.
Don't go here for lunch if you want human hair on the menu.
The food was so good! Beautiful presentation and excellent service too! Would absolutely come here again!
We dined in at evening. We got three sushi rolls, pho, and wonton soup. The only downside I had about this was that I didn’t have enough broth for my noodles in my pho, plus some of the noodles were sticking together. They still are receiving five stars because of the camaraderie had between us. We had come in when they had a photographer taking pictures of their food. We were offered free ice cream, and any sample of any of the dishes that came out. I definitely will have to check this place out again when I come back into town.
Just had their pad thai and spring rolls last night. Tasty!
Hope to go again soon.
The food was delicious, got the Spicy Thai Chicken, and man, was it good!
The best Thai in Downtown Cincy. When you’ve had authentic and awesome Thai food, you can taste the difference. These guys are incredible. Order everything you can and taste a little bit of everything. Atmosphere is casual. Not fancy. The food is 12/10.
Great food and atmosphere. The chef and staff came out to check on the table. Highly recommend!
Got the chicken pad thai, and it was just underwhelming. Chicken was dry and had no flavor. Noodles were a little better but still lacked flavor. Service was decent even though it was during the busy lunch rush.
Dined here for lunch yesterday while visiting Cincinnati, what a great find! We were immediately seated in this well designed and very clean restaraunt. We had initially come in to order sushi however we were advised that sushi could not be served this day as they were short on staff in the kitchen. Normally, that would be disappointing, however, it just meant we could enjoy other dishes. I ordered the wonton soup which was the best I have EVER had! Additionally, I ordered the Thai Fried Rice with level 2 heat. It was made to perfection! I highly recommend this place!!
I loved this restaurant. It has great atmosphere, very clean and nice decor. The service was excellent and the food was terrific. Highly recommend!
Sushi was awesome! My wife’s Pad Thai was awesome too! Very attentive service on a Saturday night who were on top of refills and constantly checking on us. Will be back!
Clearly a lunch dive in its prior day Lotus delivered a very good peanut curry. The dish was just the right level of flavor and spice and it was a super choice on a cold winter day.
All around great experiance! I will be back.
Delicious food. I had the clay pot which is enough for 2 meals, and the fried banana with coconut ice cream. We also had wonton and the delicious shumai. Service was friendly. My cohorts had fried shrimp.
The pad Thai was amazing. Sushi was fresh and delicious. Do not leave without trying the coconut ice cream!
Went shortly after opening on a weekday. They were not busy (2 other occupied tables). We ordered a sushi roll for an appetizer and our main entrees. 20 minutes later and we finally got our food. They were out of salmon, so half the sushi rolls were not available and they up-charged for a replacement. Food quality was average, not authentic Thai, but that was expected.
While wandering around looking for food after visiting the Monet Experience, Lotus was a very pleasant find. The atmosphere is relaxing, clean, and still simple. The Pad Thai is delicious and a large portion. The crab Rangoon were tasty. The staff even offered us free spring rolls. Overall Lotus is a great and tasty experience.
Nice and classy Thai restaurant in downtown. Also lots of seats there that you can bring your loved ones to enjoy Thai food tgt. :)) Spicy noodle with red pork soup is the best.
I got the green curry (spicy) and it was fantastic! Perfect spice level (I like a good bit of spice). Highly recommend for some reasonably priced take out!
Great place to grab lunch downtown.
I was in town on business and stopped in here on a Tuesday evening. I took my food to go. I had the Panaeng Curry and Spring Rolls. The curry was some of the best I have ever had and the Spring Rolls were delicious! Would definitely go back and highly recommend.
Size portions are not that great 13.50 for 5 pieces of a roll
Ate here while on a business trip and it was SO GOOD. The Tom Yum Red Pork with Noodles was so flavorful and was spicy! I also got the Dynamite Roll which was really good. Amazing that this place is so good at both sushi and Thai food.
Lovely lunch spot for a good bit of Thai or Sushi or both. Mild level of spice was non-existent which was fine for me, but if you're after a kick order one of the higher spice level options.
The food is great! I get fried rice a couple times a week. They get quickly overwhelmed during the noon lunch rush during the week, so I don't recommend going at that time if you're in a hurry!
Best Orange Chicken I've ever eaten.
We came for lunch before noon. They weren't busy at all.
Service: our server was very nice, and quick. She came to check on us often, asked if we needed more water etc.
Food: they were tasty. We had gyoza (fried), wonton soup and Lotus fried rice (recommend). Don't forget to try the fried banana.
Downside: 1. no sushi available because the chef wasn't in. And they don't have tuna/ahi in their sushi menu. 2. The prices between lunch and dinner are not very clear - other restaurants list these prices as $13/$16 as lunch/dinner prices.
At first I wasn’t sure; the place was pretty empty and the wait staff was eating as we entered.
It filled up quickly for lunch around 12:15. The servers were very nice, attentive to our needs and worked together.
The lotus fried rice and fried bananas were excellent. We also had gyoza and wonton soup; both were decent.
We asked for a few things that they didn’t have because they were difficult to make and they were short staffed.
You should know that Although they have sushi; it’s a very limited menu and never have tuna.
Overall, I would go back again for lunch and there are a few other things that I would like to try on the menu.
This whole experience was great. Our waitress, Evan, did a very nice job at welcoming us and making sure we were accommodated and had everything we needed. The California roll was delicious, and the spring rolls were even better.
Mango Curry!!!! Had to try it and I would most definitely order this again but would also be trying their other dishes in the future. Loved the chunks of mango and the thickness of the curry. Not like other places with water downed curry. A must try. Soooooo good!!
One of the better Thai I've had anywhere. Excellent service too.
Just had lunch there today. Ordered the spicy Thai chicken and the Crab Rangoon appetizer. Both excellent. Service was amazing; water and tea refilled several times and the waitress asked several times if I needed anything. I even had a chat with the owner, and he said he'd be glad to caterer a meal in the future for me.
Excellent food!!!!
The mango curry was probably my favorite item at a Thai restaurant ever. Absolutely delicious.
Amazing food, have not had a bad dish there. My personal favorite is the pineapple fried rice. Fairly certain they are short staffed as during mealtime rush there is a noticeable drop in the quality of the service. Have had experiences with both slow service and small issues with order accuracy when it's busy. If your group is larger than 4 people I wouldn't even bother showing up during lunch rush.
Ordered food to be picked up at for lunch, had to wait 25 extra minutes. Was told food would be up any minute every 5 minutes. My food was overcooked and sticking to the Reynolds wrap dish.
Second time this happened in 2 weeks. Very sad
We stopped for lunch on a Saturday and were the only party dining in but had great service. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were very generous. We had plenty of leftovers
Amazing & my new fav. Thai & Sushi spot in Cincy! 🤤 Lunch & Dinner - generous portions! 100/10 Recommend 🤗🫶🏽🍣
Food is flavorful but not cost effective portions. 3 pieces of chicken stay for $10. Soup contained 5 mushrooms, one tomato, and two shrimp for $6. I tried to call the restaurant to give them feedback and the mailbox is full. I won't be back.
Best food and best staff. Worth the visit even if it’s just to say Hi.
This was an amazing find after a convention. Our Waitress, Autumn, was great. She was friendly, funny, and her service was fantastic.
The chef was excellent, the sushi was some of the best I've had.
100% want to come back.
We came in with a part of 9, 45 mins before close. We were still welcomed in with open arms. The food was amazing. (Recommend the Lotus Party). 10/10 will come back.
I have eaten at many different sushi place but this place is the best
They feed me Goooood
Really nice place! First time in cincinatti and the server was incredibly friendly and inviting. The chef was incredible and the food was to die for. Would definitely come back.
Super good Thai food. I don’t think I’ve ever had Thai food this good!
I ordered the crab fried rice for lunch and it was amazing! The Google Maps directions were not great to get there, but the food and great service was worth a little confusion. I will definitely be going back.
Very slow. Very loud. It's hard to hold a conversation. Had the Pad Thai. Food was good although a medium is very spicy. Would go back and get no spicy next time.
First trip there, likely the last. Lunch order (carry out) took almost 45 minutes. Even people who ordered after me received their orders. Had a meeting at 1, so asked for refund. Magically my order came out 2 minutes later. Yeah, you can tell microwaved food. Waste of time and $.
EDIT: After being open for a couple of months now, I can genuinely say I wanted to love this place. I love Thai food and I work on fourth street, it should have been a match made it heaven. However, this business seems to do everything in its power to make eating here inconvenient and feel unwelcoming and uncomfortable. Online ordering for the first couple weeks was a disaster, orders would be cancelled more than an hour after placing them, food wouldn't be ready when promised, and even ordering inside the restaurant resulted in an hour+ wait for food. In reviews, owners blamed guests for the long waits, telling them to use order online if they can't afford to wait over an hour on a weekday for food. But as I stated, even online ordering was not feasible for the business folk downtown who have limited lunch hours, often times resulting in getting no food and going hungry. They now have doordash available for carry out, but you cannot order any of the lunch specials even during lunch hours. They also charge $1.50 for ginger and wasabi with their sushi which is outrageous. Mr. Sushi two streets over has a tuna roll for the same price as Lotus, but it comes with 2 more pieces and free ginger and wasabi. Not to mention they haven't had sushi available in WEEKS. This place needs to step it up or they are not going to last long.
Original review:
Very good flavors and incredibly friendly, patient staff. Attended their grand opening on fourth street. It took almost an hour to get my carry out order. I understand it was their first day, but a warning about the wait would have been nice. I had the thai spicy (delicious) and a tuna roll (also tasty). The tuna roll felt a little small for the price (six small pieces for $7) but I haven't ordered sushi in a while to compare to other restaurants in the area. I'll definitely be back, but I plan to order online instead of waiting in the lobby.
Uncomfortable wooden school house chairs. Dinghy floor. No sushi??? What?? Cuz they are “short staffed”? Wth.
I should have left. but…Ordered chicken Tom Kum, FRIED roll (no paper rolls!, and phanaeng shrimp curry. Hmmm. The rolls were way way too greasy!! Yuck. And the Phanaeng? Well I eat curry all over the world as I am a long haul cargo pilot. This was gross. Some weird separation. So gross.
But the server would have no known unless I told her as she was texting in her phone during most of my visit. She could have cared less.
I will not be back!!
I left the girl a 15% tip. Not her fault she is clueless about customer service and the food sucks. Never offered m more water. No bag with my shrimp, rice and broccoli I wiped off with a napkin that I am taking with me.
Great service and great food. I'll be back.
Arrive at 12:10 and my guest at 12:15. Order was placed by 12:25 and my food arrived at 1:15 and his at 1:20 even with our asking for a status. He had to take his to go. Lots of apologizes but you need to figure out lunch service.
Stopped in to grab dinner takeout at 5:40. They close at 6. They made sure to tell me this even after I asked if I could get a takeout order. A little off-putting.
Ordered a 13.95 dish off the menu. Took it home, ate it and it was pretty good. Then I looked at the receipt and noticed they charged me 17.95 for the dish.
Okay, so I also know they recently extended their hours to serve closer to dinner time because of popular demand. So I'm guessing they put an upcharge on their dishes served after their old closing hours. The problem is, it's not printed on the menu, nor is it mentioned when you order. So you kinda walk away feeling robbed unless you catch it. Then even if you catch it, you'd have to make an issue out of it.
I would go back, but I wish they would be more up front about their pricing. I get that you're downtown and trying to serve the business crowd during lunch only. And if you want to charge more for the same portion after those hours, you should make that clear. But also.... You extended your hours due to "popular demand" in the first place. So if it's popular, why charge more for the same portions?
I'll try it again keeping all this in mind, but I just felt kinda robbed.
Excellent food, good price also, I highly recommend this place.
Have now been here twice. Both times food was awesome! We have been missing this type of place downtown for lunch.
I ordered a take-out of a chicken Pad Thai, nothing special.
After waiting for 45 minutes, I asked to cancel the order and they kept saying, it needs manager and so on for another 15 minutes.
I don't recommend unless you have three martini lunch time.
Finally almost an hour they brought me the food but I don't have time to eat and I asked the refund not food for 15 minutes (should be more than enough time to cook a Pad Thai).
At least you could've told it would take a long time.
Omg!!!!!! This is amazing!!!! I'm Thai and have been craving a good bowl of Tom Yum noodles for decades. I saw this on Doordash and didn't expect much at all since all the other Thai food around Cincy made this soup so mehhhh. But this one is the best by far I'm so impressed! Nobody can top this in Cincy and I had tried them all. Love this so much will order 1000 more times from now!
My wife and I arrived to have lunch at 12:25. It was crowded, but several open tables were clearly visible and available. The server told us to come back in 35-40 minutes because they were at capacity. We left disappointed, but did not go back.
Food was amazing and the service great, definitely coming back!!
Delicious and unique flavors. food was hot, fresh and served with speed.
I was really impressed with how involved the manager was. He was on his A game making sure everything was ran smoothly and everyone was taken care of. It really showed in all aspects of the restaurant.
Highly recommend.
The pad Thai (spice level 2) was delicious. We also had multiple rolls of Sushi which were great. Salmon in the sushi was buttery and smooth.
Great food and excellent customer service! Military discount as well!!!
Excellent food. Friendly staff. Sad that they closing Crestview hills location and moving downtown.
Very good food and friendly atmosphere!
Service was nice and the noodles were good but the sushi was terrible and hard
The best Seaweed Salad around. Great food.
I've been eating here more and more often lately.
Fantastic curry! I stopped for lunch and the service and food were excellent. I love Thai food and this place is one of the best I've been too. Thai tea was out of this world. I'll definitely be returning!!
Ordered here for the first time today and found it somewhat disappointing. I got the Thai spicy fried rice with chicken, gyoza and a California roll.
The menu says the gyoza are fried but they were just boiled, not fried at all. The wrappers were too thick and doughy, although the filling was pretty good. They definitely needed to be fried.
The fried rice was kind of bland with zero spice, even though I chose heat level 2. The chicken was dry and the peppers in gigantic chunks. It was ok, I still ate it.
The California roll was small but actually quite good, I was happy with that.
All these are popular items on the menu, so I just expected them to be better.
Relaxing decor, savory food, decent value for lunch.
Fast, fancy, and flavourful! I much enjoyed my first visit and hope to come here again!
Love this place. Great food, highly recommended!
Fresh vegetables, great meal!
I've had better sushi. It was a waste of money. Shrimp fried rice was bland but I would give them another try. They did get my food really fast.
The front counter/bar area looked like someone's messy kitchen table. There was no flow when you walk in. There were screens hung at the front for menu display, but they weren't operational. The decor didn't match. There were deflated old balloons by the front door. The place was giant but completely empty. The ladies room had no toilet paper. And most importantly, the food wasn't great. I have 2 stars becuz the waiter was trying his best and I felt bad for him.
Ordered and ate here for the first time yesterday, sushi roll and miso soup tasted different from how they have in the past, but I ate them anyway. Unfortunately it made me throw up and become sick, probably won’t be giving this place another try.
Great service and explanation of the different, extensive menu! Delish!
I think about this place all of the time, I drive 30+ mins one way from Cinci just to get it! Their red curry is superior and the fried rice is also amazing!
The food was great!
the food was good but the service was terrible- the server practically ignored us
Great lunch!
For a walk in to go order to be ready in 10-15 min and for it to be one of the best Curry's I have ever had, I have to say that I'm purely impressed. They have dine-in service and a good atmosphere. I will be coming back to try some more selections off of this menu. I'm excited to have found such a good restaurant this close to the house.
Amazing!!!!
I would say for the Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati area by far the BEST Thai/Sushi restaurant around! Our waiter, Josh and rest of Staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Their knowledge of menu was on point. We questioned about a sword that was displayed and we were informed how the Chef preparing the food had earned in a cooking competition!!! It was very welcoming when the Chef even came out to assure we were satisfied with preparation of food. It is very difficult to find this excellent service nowadays!!! Definitely rate a 10 in my book!!!
The food here was not a quality unfortunately I love sushi in this place just did not perform well there’s sushi burrito was questionable and tasted funny at best the food felt like it had just came out of the freezer and I know sushi supposed to be cold but this was like frigid cold it seemed like the rice was about to freeze over
Found this gem a few days ago and I’ve been back twice already. It was delicious and super fresh. I tried the Spicy Fried Noodles and they were great! The Red Pork soup was amazing!!! They were busy but they were working so hard to get the orders out. I was amazed how hard they were working. I didn’t mind the wait because I knew they were working hard and doing their best to make every dish a quality dish. Gotta respect that! The owner gave me a homemade ice cream sundae for my wait. Best ice cream I’ve in a long time. Can’t say enough good things about this place. The waiter is a very nice young gentleman that took the time to explain the items and then show me some things so that I could understand the dish. I will be a regular for now on. The service and food speak for itself. Kudos!
The food is amazing! Great atmosphere too.
Oh yeah. Get your pad thai here, it's excellent!
Visited this place over the weekend during lunch hours. Place is nice, clean and a fresh look. Menu is simple and straightforward. We ordered Chicken Coconut Milk Soup, Edamame, Thai Spicy Fried Rice and Singapore Noodles. Except Edamame everything was fresh and tasty food. We enjoyed the food. We tried spiciest level but it was still acceptable. So we asked for spicy sauce which changed the whole taste. Edamame was warmed in microwave and we're uncooked. We returned it and restaurant did not charged for it. Not much of apologize given from owner. I would have gave 5 star but service was bad. You literally need patience to enjoy food here. It tooks almost 25 min to get appetizers and then additional 10 min for remaining food. There were only 3 tables occupied when we ordered including ours. It seems they give priority to take out orders or online orders than the customer who are actually dining in. Not sure how owner handles order when the restaurant is at least half occupied. So visit here if you want to enjoy good food but make sure you have at least 1 hour to spent. Else try something else.
I was so excited to try this place. Had never heard of it before but when it popped up on door dash the menu seemed to be outstanding! Even the photos seemed to display delectable cuisine....
Well I ordered Sushi. 4 rolls to be exact along with chicken pineapple fried rice and Beef Lomein. The sushi was the worst sushi I've ever had in my life and I LOVE sushi. In fact we threw all 4 away after trying them. They were the Yummy Yummy roll, Lotus Paradise, Fried Crispy, and the Volcano roll. They were all bland, but specifically, the volcano roll tasted like it had some miracle whip stirred into the crab mixture. 😑😦 The crispy fried was soggy and unseasoned, it was a train wreck, while the colors were beautiful. The pineapple fried rice used ( what appeared to be) canned pineapple but was tasty and the beef Lomein also had a good flavor but seemed to be slightly burnt. 🥵 But they were good enough NOT to throw away
Sadly, this will be our last order. If you order from this place, I'd suggest you keep your order small. Perhaps this may help with the quality issue. Thanks for reading my cry...wish I had better news.
Great food and service
Great restaurant, really enjoyed it. Was my first time visiting and I ordered the chicken and traditional fried rice, as well as an order of spring rolls. Requested level two heat. It took a couple minutes, but that's fine because it was fresh and hot. Got back home and tried it, it tasted very good, I was impressed. Loved the spring rolls, some of the best I've had. Definitely recommend.
Ordered off Doordash, food came hot and packaged well for no leaks. I ordered Miso Soup and Red Chicken Curry (coconut milk/ red curry/ vegtables) it was tasty and authentic tasting. Quality was a 3/4 star but because of everything else, 5 stars.
Best Thai food
Our usual Thai place was closed, so we stopped in here. Holy Goodness Batman... this place was insane. Incredible, in house made, huge portions, great service and ridiculously delicious!!!
We have a new Thai place.
The restaurant was empty when we arrived. Not a bad thing. I was very disappointed by the quality of my dish. The veggies, mango and pineapple were basically mush. It was as if it had been sitting for a while. The flavor of the curry was good but it was not fresh. The service was okay. My daughter in law liked her soup which is why I gave a 3 star.
I will not return.
Something is missing from their sauces, not as good as Sweet Basil or Mai Thai
Yummy, friendly, local and fantastic service! Safe place to pickup carry out during COVID-19.
We always have the best service and food at Lotus. It's our favorite date night place. Even though they do not have the dining room open, service is still amazing. We come from the west side of Cincinnati to support Lotus Thai and Sushi.
Great place!
I travel to Cincinnati and am always looking for authentic, non-chain places to eat. I happened upon Lotus when I intended to visit a nearby restaurant that turned out to be closed. The service was friendly and attentive, and the menu immense. The food was exactly what I didn’t know I wanted that day! I returned a few more times, each visit ordering two dishes in order to sample different things. Curries to spicy fried rice. Pad thai to sushi. I brought some friends today and they were equally impressed with the quality, flavor, and great service. VISIT THIS PLACE! This is honestly one place that I want to succeed, and I will be back every time I am in town.
Very clean restaurant and the staff is very friendly. The sushi was fresh with great flavor
First time visit from the east side of Cincinnati. We had a great experience. Sushi was fresh, salad was nice crispy and ginger dressing was flavorful and thick. Thank you so much, keep up the good work!
Good but too pricey
Emily was my server and she was very attentive. Food was very good. This was my first time at Lotus but it will not be my last. Indoor and outdoor seating.
