After a year we finally hit pay dirt! We have been trying to order from here but this place is so popular we have never gotten our order there in time. As one of the reviews said, we really appreciated that the owner gave us a time period, which can be 1-2 hours. Today, on a whim, we decided to try again and this time was a success! Both the Pad Thai and green curry were superior! You can taste the quality ingredients and skill that took to prepare them. We opted for medium, which was a good call! There was a good amount of heat but the flavors still punched through! Absolutely worth the wait and we will definitely be back!

Absolutely best Thai this side of Cleveland. I used to live downtown and fell in love with the cuisine, this place is better than some close/in downtown! The owner is always the nicest guy on the phone and in person no matter how busy they are! His wife is a phenomenal cook and our food has always been consistently good, quite the feat for a single person kitchen! We have to actively try not to go every week because it's so good.

The food is good but their hours are pathetic. Today is Monday and they say they are open until 6:45pm. I started calling at 5:45pm for take out and I’ve called 20 times without them answering. It’s now 6:25pm. Don’t waste your time trying to order because they won’t answer.

If I could give more than 5stars I absolutely would. We have NEVER been disappointed! The wait can be sometimes long but it is well worth it (the trick is to call right at 4!) If you want quality and fresh food then Thai Chili should always be your go to. You won't be disappointed I promise!

The food is the best but the service to get an order in is IMPOSSIBLE simply trying to get soup for a relative that is suffering ….. to cheer them up…BUT this is my last attempt to do business with these people ….so sorry I have tried everything and they are so polite but they just cant understand we are simply trying to give them business

This place is always consistently wonderful. Can be hard to get an order in sometimes as their hours are limited and they are quite popular but the food is worth the hassle. You get a large portion for the price as well.

Thai Chili is INCREDIBLE their food is so good and my wife and I love this place. The major bummer is as soon as they open the phone is busy with tons of people ordering and they get backed up very quickly because of the small cooking area. If you can get an order in you will not be disappointed because the food is sooo good and I would assume that's why they "fill up" with orders so quickly. I'm only giving 4 stars not as a knock on the food or the service but just because it's usually so hard to get an order in.

The place has some quirky hours, and make sure to plan ahead - we often wait several hours before being able to pick up our food, but the quality and flavor of the food is fantastic. The staff are friendly and upfront when you call about the long wait issues I mentioned. Highly recommend giving them a try.

I read some of the awful reviews but decided to order anyways. I didn't have any of those experiences. It literally says on their website it's a husband and wife with one small kitchen and a wok. Sometimes you have to wait for good food in situations like that. I however, did not. My food was ready for pick up in 25 minutes. I got pad Thai, Thai tea,some fried chicken patties and some chili oil. Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS! I'd wait any amount of time for this food. The man who took my order and waited on me was so nice and personable. I will definitely be back! Love supporting small business!

The food is incredible here! I've been to a number of other Thai restaurants, Thai booths down at the West Side Market, and nothing compares to Thai Chili. This husband and wife team is awesome, talented, and friendly! It's JUST the two of them in a small kitchen, so yes there may be a long wait sometimes, but it's worth it! We love the Chicken or Shrimp Pad Thai, Pineapple Curry, and the Tom Yam soup. It's ALL good, though!!

Fantastic, authentic Thai cuisine! Each dish is made to order, and the recipes are spot on. If you enjoy heat, this restaurant will test your limits (which is not a bad thing!) Plan accordingly when ordering. Thai Chili is definitely in demand and at peak times you may have to wait for your meal to be prepared. It's definitely worth the wait!

Best Thai food I've ever had! Although I've only had Thai from mid-western restaurants, Thai Chili is clearly a step ahead. It is worth waiting out the non-standard hours and delays due to limited capacity. Be warned, the 3-star heat level may make you sweat. I've only temped their 3.5 star heat once and it had me crying. It's always a treat eating here!

I pulled it up while looking for restaurants in Avon Lake, and being someone that has enjoyed Thai food for many years(I'm a Muay Thai instructor), I had to give it a shot.
I'm so glad I did!

Being vegetarian I'm always looking for places with a good vegetarian option, and this place fit the bill.
I'll admit upfront as well, I judge Thai restaurants on how well they make Pad Thai, since that is a staple, especially here in America, along with the veggies soup and vegetarian spring rolls.

This was not merely good, it was splendid, flavourful and with a robust style that signifies real Thai cooking.
The heat was on point as the owner made it a "hard medium" for me, as I do enjoy heat, however not overpowering.
I will be back, and I'll be looking to bring my family with me, so they may also try Thai food that is actually quite good, and not merely satisfactory, as many are.

Absolutely the greatest food in town, and Cleveland area. The best Thai food in Ohio, for sure. So much flavor, and so much spice. The restaurant itself is quaint, and the staff is composed of a husband and wife who run the joint themselves. Sometimes the wait is long, but that’s because they don’t rush quality and because so many others love their food and are willing to wait for it. I would be willing wait over 2 1/2 hours for this food if I had to, and if the wait is long I recommend staying and waiting because it really is worth it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Some of the best Thai food around but their staff is so small it's hard to find a time when they aren't incredibly busy. We live right down the street but rarely go here because of this which is a shame as the food is exceptionally good.

I get Thai Chili for lunch at least once a week. You get a good portion and the food is high quality. My favorites are the Drunken Noodle and Pad Thai, both with tofu (which is like little crispy marshmallows in your mouth). Service is always very prompt and friendly. Highly recommend!

The food is excellent but the hour and a half wait times are terrible...they dont answer the phone 😠 and when your order is finally done they dont even have the decency too call you and tell you its ready smh very unprofessional also they charge extra for sauce on the side like really a small cup of sweet chili sauce is a $1.50 unreal😲...like i said great food but terrible service and stop being stingy with the sauce! Also you get more rice and noodles than the shrimp...i only got 6 shrimp literally in my pad thai and fried basil rice...im goin to Johnny Mango next time its better and they give you bigger portions and more shrimp.

I never post reviews for places I eat at but over the years Thai Chili has earned my respect. Have lived in Avon Lake for 22 years and this was always a spot me and my family would get on a regular basis. They have the same two staff running the place at all times, who are both incredible people to associate with. Everybody who complains about the wait time take this into consideration.

If you want to have top notch Thai food in the area plan accordingly to the hours and wait time. It's worth it I promise you. They go out of their way to provide an excellent experience.

The resterant is so small I would be ashamed to run a carry out only coffee shop from there. The staff is very rude espectually the men. They speak broken English. The food is very mediocre and the priceses are just a little too high.
They charge restetant tax to customers for eating there yet REFUSE TO ALLOW CUSTOMERS TP USE THE REST ROOM.and they expect customers to clean the table and remove the rubbish when done eating.

This place provides authentic Thai food! The place is quite small with awkward hours, but finding the time to go is more than worth it. They do rate the spiciness of their dishes so be careful; when they suggest something is hot, it's no joke! Also I'll mention it's worth it to sit in and eat vs taking out. They provide soup and spring rolls for dining in.
