Pho was ok, but portion was small. This is Thai pho so I would recommend going across the street for wat da pho for Vietnamese pho instead. I had steamed dumplings which was expensive but the dipping sauce was really good.

I sincerely enjoyed my big bowl of Pho. The bowl came in one size only and it was gigantic. My colleges ordered other entrees and they looked pretty good. The prices were fairly decent. I would definitely like to come here and eat again.

Us as someone who's worked in the medical field as a caregiver this is beyond unacceptable for the ethnics and human needs in our society. I would not spend money here or support a business the does not value compassion. Human compassion and empathy should be utmost and every business and the humiliation of both this individual and their helper is not acceptable from this business..........

The Charm Thai Restaurant experience ( Dine-In Edition). I decided to venture out to try Thai food for lunch. I must admit I have passed this place many times to dine at Downtown Thai & Pho, but they are closed on Fridays during lunch hours. So what better time to try somewhere new. There was nothing special about the restaurant's décor, but I was pleasantly pleased with their lunch menu offerings. The bathrooms were clean and the service good, and the server was attentive.

I ordered their Pad Kra Proa, stir-fried ground meat ( I selected chicken) with basil leaves, bell pepper, mushrooms, carrots, and onions in fresh chili sauce. With their lunch, you receive a salad with peanut dressing that comes out first and a spring roll with your meal. The food was excellent, but the portion sizes are more petite than I am used to eating for a Thai lunch. But I guess the food did its job because it left me wanting more, lol. Would I go back. Yes, I would. I am counting calories these days, and having a smaller portion for lunch wasn't that bad, but I could see others complaining.

I ordered delivery. The green curry was greasy with a layer of oil on the top and the chicken tasted old. It was quite terrible. The Thom Ka was ok.

Disappointed in the poor food at this Thai restaurant. It rated highly in Google but did not live up to its rating. Tasted/looked more like Chinese cuisine than Thai. Also, very small amounts of chicken in the two chicken dishes we ordered and really not great food at all. Atmosphere poor. Would not recommend or dine here again.

I had lunch general tso and even tho the sauce flavor was ok the chicken was very hard and dry didn't taste well at all.

The best Thai food I've had in any city. I usually eat the curry, but sometimes the drunken noodles. Both of these dishes here are better than at the other options. Also, Earn is one of the best servers. And her sister is very nice too.

Very tasty food. Had dinner for 5. 2 split the Japanese curry and said it was amazing, I had a taste and I concur. I was indecisive between red curry chicken and chicken phad thai, so I got both. Am having delicious leftovers as I write this review. I ordered medium spicy and it was spot on. My wife had the cashew chicken and she was not disappointed. Overall, I would have to say it is now my favorite Thai restaurant in all of North Carolina.

I had my favorite Duck Noodle Soup. The meat is delicious and tender. The broth is robust dark and tasty. The servers are beautiful smiling ladies always courteous. It's easy to see why Thailand is named Land of Smiles.

I got some green curry with tofu at a 2 star heat level. Pretty good green curry. Tofu was a little overcooked but I’d say a 4/5 on flavor nonetheless. I’d eat here again.

Pad Khing was delicious!

I ordered fried rice with chicken which is arguably the best fried rice in Winston-Salem. The vegetables were not over cooked like you would find at other Asian style restaurants. Although I've only been twice and only ordered takeout I highly recommend Charm Thai because the service was great and that's the only reason I didn't give it five stars for service. I will be going back for dinner to get the full experience.

This is my favorite place for shrimp pad thai. The staff is also friendly. I want to go again. The taste is of course good too.

It says on their sign that they may be understaffed, but I got really prompt service! And worth it, even if you have to wait. The massamun curry was so delicious. The flavor was so complex. Would absolutely recommend.

Really great Thai that I keep coming back to. My favorite dishes are the panaeng curry and the pad nam prik pao. One of the better crab rangoons in winston as well.

Charm Thai is delicious EVERY TIME! The staff is friendly and you are served very quickly when dining in. We've gotten Pad Thai, fried rice, appetizers, curries... all of it is great!

UPDATE 5/6/2022: I ordered my go-to order of Red Curry and was looking forward to eating something really warm for my throat since I was feeling under the weather. I had to throw the entire curry away because it was SO SALTY, and I NEVER throw away food. There was so much salt in this curry that it actually BURNED my THROAT from how salty it was. I honestly think that they must've spilled a bag of salt in this batch of curry today. I revoke my 5 star review due to their lack of consistency and inadequate customer service.

Wonderful atmosphere and service

Wanted to get Thai food for lunch before visiting a family member who was in the hospital.

Initially decided to stop by the other Thai place next door but was literally blown out of the dining room b/c the owner was using what looked like a leaf blower to blow the dust out of his dingy and dark restaurant — mind you this is 10 min after the posted opening hour. He also rudely told us to get out of the way and wait outside until he was done.

I Didn’t have time for that type of attitude and lack of customer service so I decided to take my business to Charm Thai instead.

Wow—the difference between Charm Thai and the other Thai restaurant next door was like night and day! Charm Thai was well-lit and impeccably clean. The staff was kind and inviting—they don’t treat you like a you’re nuisance. The food was great and the price was just right. It was an overall pleasant experience.

If you’re a fan of pho or Thai boat noodles, they have THE BEST Thai boat noodle broth I’ve ever tasted! You can tell it was made in house with authentic ingredients from scratch and lots of love. It was so aromatic and soothing for the soul.

I’d definitely recommend getting Thai food here if you’re ever in the Downtown Winston area.

Their spicy papaya salad and all curries are delicious! However, order it on Uber eats or to go if you want typical Thai portions. I originally tried it out through Uber and was so amazed so I finally went to there for dinner.
The portions are so tiny for the amount of money that they charge!!! The service is great, they just need to make their customers feel like they are not wasting money on portions inside the restaurant!
On another note, if you truly want “Thai spicy” mixed with great recipes, this is the number one place in Winston or any surrounding areas!!! Other restaurants don’t live up to the heat!

Very quaint cute Thai restaurant in the heart of downtown Winston-Salem. Peaceful music and quiet ambience, perfect for a date night. Tons of plants everywhere- they are beautiful. I had the red curry which is my go to Thai meal. It was a bit salty for my taste but still very good. Portion sizes were small for the price compared to what I’ve received elsewhere in town. I would return if wanting sit down food but I will continue to get my to go Thai food at a different restaurant.

Best yellow curry and pho in town! I just discovered this place after COVID so I have been ordering it through Uber Eats and they NEVER mess up my order. The food is amazing and I could eat their yellow curry every day. So glad I found this place!

The Pho was pretty average, unfortunately after eating pho next door, it came nowhere close to be brutally honest.

We came here for dinner yesterday and lunch today after the half-marathon and it was fantastic both times. The paenang curry was flavorful and perfectly balanced (I got medium spice at dinner, my partner got spicy for lunch today, and both were delicious), and the beef pho at lunch today was perfect- perfect temperature, perfect balance of flavors, and a HUGE amount. Their lunch is super generous on portions and comes with the best little spring rolls and chili sauce. If I'm in Winston-Salem again anytime soon, this is my first food stop.

The food is so good here! A group of us visited it for a Streetery event and we all loved it. My favorites were green curry, which was very close to the green curries that I had in Thailand, and drunken noodles, that were just outstanding. We also shared a pad Thai. I am not the biggest pad Thai fan, but it was better than any other one I tried in the US. Highly recommend and very much hope that the outdoor seating will be permanently extended. PS: service was very friendly and restrooms very clean 🙏

Best Pad Thai in Winston. They are fast and friendly! Always easy to order To-Go either via Uber Eats or pick it up from the restaurant myself. My only complaint would be the downtown location and there being no place to park on the street but you can find a place around the corner.

Terrible customer service really ruined a nice afternoon.

It is snowing downtown and the weather is cold. I grabbed a small cheese Pizza (I have a severe eating disorder and Thai would absolutely set me off) from Mellow down the road and went to join my friends (a group of 7, I would be 8) for a quick meal at Charm Thai between our performances at the Hanes Brand theatre down the street.
We were the only people in the entire place. I set my pizza down and the waitress comes out and tells me no outside food or drink. Which would be reasonable... if we WERE NOT THE ONLY PEOPLE IN THIS RESTAURANT ON A SNOWY AND BAD WEATHER DAY.
Needless to say, my entire group tried to leave since they had not been served yet, but I told them to eat their food and so I left to go back to Mellow to finish my pie.

My group was upset, I was embarrassed, and the owner wouldn't even come speak to me themself to let me know why. Thet hid in the back and had the waitress do it.

I'm sure the food is fine. But they could have made an exception, especially since there are no signs anyway stating this policy.
