Went by 3 other Thai restaurant on my 25 min drive to get to Bangkok Thai. First time there, the positive reviewers got me to choose this fine establishments.
Ordered drunken noodles (wide noodles). The dish smelled wonderful on the way back home. Filled the hot-rod with wonderful aromatic of Thai Cuisine.
The dish tasted wonderful, I will go here again.
The only reason for the 4 star is, I placed the order when I left home, I was told the ready time will be 20min. Took me 25 min to get there, and I had to wait..wait.. total of 50 min of wait.
Service was wonderful, friendly and kind.

I will say there were 3 families dining in, but their take out orders were continues, customers kept coming in one after another.
Next time will take the family for dine in.

Order there Thai Dumplings & Crab Wontons from Doordash. It was my first time having Thia Dumplings, more flavor than regular dumplings! It definitely is one of the hidden mom pop Thai restaurant. Me and my wife have been hunting for some good Thai food and I must say, this is one of the best Thai restaurant in Raleigh.
I decided to try their Thai spicy in my drunken noodles, it was delicious and super spicy holding all the flavor. My wife had green curry with beef; sauce was delightful and the meat was perfectly marinated.
Staff is very friendly with chill atmosphere.

We’ve been going here for years! The Thai red curry is wonderful. They’re always quick, and I love that it’s small and cozy. I only wish that their prices hadn’t gone up so much, but that’s just everywhere.

Just disappointing. The flavors were not good in any item we got. The crab mix was off and everything was just kind of soggy. Noodle dish was bland too. Ended up tossing the rest.

OMG! By far, THE BEST Thai food in this state! I ordered the Ramen Curry and it was bursting with flavor. Well done Bangkok Thai! Well done!!! My husband and I will forever be loyal patrons of your fine establishment! P.s. I am going to be dreaming of your Ramen Curry. Until we meet again.

It can be so hard to find good Thai! This spot is just really straightforward and consistently has good food and service. Lunch specials bring me in at least once a week. I have my usuals but have tried several dishes, everything was good.

My wife ordered through door dash. Total order was about $85 before delivery fees. As others have said, I was surprised by small portions and how little food was received for cost. I asked for Drunken Noodles but what I got was more like Phad Thai due to noodles and seasoning. I guess you can get the traditional wide noodles as an option but I doubt that would have changed the taste. My wife got pineapple fried rice which was ok. My daughter ordered swimming Rama which was delivered missing the spinach. Just chicken floating in watered down peanut sauce. We also got a small container of Tom Ka soup, also watery and lacking flavor. I love Thai food and this was definitely a disappointment.

I ordered about four lunch entrees. Each of the items were less than a serving size. I gave them a hefty tips thinking they will make quality and quantity reasonable. Boy, I was disappointed in both. Never going there. Better to eat Chinese next door. Most of all, the lady taking the order was very unwelcoming and acted worse than a robot. All of my entres were supposed to contain coconut but there were not a teaspoon amount in there. The soup was like mushroom floating in hot water. 👎

Bangkok Thai Restaurant is on our list as one of our quick, quality and authentic Thai eatery in Wake Forest, NC!! Seems to keep a steady flow of pickup orders!

I 10000% recommend this place! We ordered the pork ribs as appetizers (great recommendation from Madison by the way) then we got the basil stir fry and crab fried rice! Both were soo delicious we saved some to go back to our hotel for late afternoon snacks. I wish i came here sooner. Don’t be like us and go pay them a visit! You will not regret it!

The store hours says it closes at 9:30 on the front door and Google I got there at 8:30 and was met with attitude that the the store is closing at nine and the server looked like she hates being there. A little smile with customers goes a long way.

Was in the area, and was looking for a quick lunch.. Thai never disappoints, and luckily found this place... Great food, super efficient and fast service... We tried the Gyoza Dumplings, Crab Wontons for starters... Both were good but the Wontons were absolutely melt in your mouth stuff...

A visit to a Thai restaurant is incomplete without a Thai Curry, and we tried the Yellow Curry with Shrimp and Chicken, and the traditional Thai fried rice... Everything was spot on... Highly recommended!

I always get Thai when I'm in Raleigh. I chose this place because Thai villa was too far and I wish I would have driven the extra mile. I was so disappointed that everything was so bland. They used thin noodles for the pad thai which had no flavor and my tom ka tasted like water. Frustrating because I'm half Thai and was so excited to get some while in there area. Should have went somewhere else. Anywhere else!

My goal is support and try new places. I ordered the Thai chicken wings and steam veggies to go. I was Unfortunately disappointed. I had only 5pcs of drummettes which cost $12. Not worth it. Then I tried the steam veggies and it didn't have any flavor at all. Unfortunately it wasn't good. Maybe they will consider adding some flavor and a minimum of 8pcs for $12

After living in Thailand for many years and after reading such great reviews I expected to finally enjoy some fabulous Thai food. Wrong! My Pad Thai was barely ok, mostly lacking in any flavor and the chicken tasted old. My husband's dish was so salty he couldn't eat it. We didn't ask for a redo because we just weren't interested. We left disappointed and thirsty from the over-abundant salt. In Thailand, the food is incredibly fresh and prepared right before it's served. This tasted like re-hashed cafeteria food. Sorry for the harsh review, but this place needs serious improvement. :/

I picked up my food to go so I have no experience in the actual restaurant. I’m so sad because the food was just not good. My favorite soup in the world is Tom Kha and this one has HUGE onion chunks in it, 2 pieces of chicken and was watered down, absolutely not like other Thai places I’ve been too. . The drunken noodle was done with a thin noodle instead of the usual flat and was quite soggy. Sadly, it’s a pass for me.

Our go-to spot every Friday, where we enjoy Pineapple fried rice and mixed fried rice as our top picks. As lovers of spicy food, the Thai spice level here suits us perfectly. We highly recommend this place.

4 of us went for dinner. I saw it had good reviews so we tried it. We were there around 6:30 for dinner and we were the only ones there so I assume they do a lot of take out. The staff were very attentive and courteous. I had the Pad Thai with chicken, not spicy and it was okay, not bad but not great. The Thai dumplings and crab Rangoon we shared were really good. In general it was ok.

Hidden Gem in a plaza area. It's not fancy but the food and service is excellent. Some of it is hot and spicy as I expected for Thai. It's a good hot! They also have Thai beer and wine. Also, they have Gluten-free options, you just have to ask. They will make especially for you.

A favorite of our family. We get the lunch special. Favorites: Chicken Ginger Lover’s. Beef Broccoli and Mushroom in Oyster Sauce. Simple Fried Rice. Thai Iced tea.

Small place with big flavor. I had panangcurry for the first time, and it was so rich and creamy. Strong peanut flavor. The chicken was nice and tender, and the veggies were cooked perfectly. Plenty of curry sauce and rice to soak it all up. Fast and friendly service too!

Just to preface: I never write reviews, especially negative ones, but my experience here the other day was so bad I feel I have to share it.
I came here for lunch with my boyfriend, I ordered the red curry and he ordered calamari. When the food came out, I received my curry with a side of edamame along with an additional big margarita glass full of edamame. I sent it back because we didn’t order edamame. About 15 minutes pass after I get my food, bf still hasn’t gotten anything to eat. It occurs to us that the waitress heard “edamame” instead of “calamari”, so we get her attention and say hey can we just get that calamari to go since I’m almost done? But the thing is, bf didn’t order anything other than the calamari, and when we sent back the edamame, instead of clarifying what he ordered (bc she clearly misheard him the first time), she just left our table alone and left him without food until we had to remind her.
In addition to that she took my plate away before I was finished eating so I didn’t even get to finish my food. Definitely the worst service I’ve ever experienced, I always tip at least 15% even for below average service but this was the first time in my life I haven’t left a tip.
Obviously won’t be going back after this cause bf was very upset, which is a shame because their curry is quite good and prices are reasonable.

First time great, 2nd time food was horrible. Steak was all grizzle.

Best Thai food in the triangle bar none. Before covid, the absolute best. Post covid, your best bet is take out, but we have so many wonderful memories there, we usually eat in. Either way, the food is the best. The only reason this restaurant is less than 4.9 stars is a bunch of suspect bad reviews from over 3 years ago. Trust me, if you love Thai food, you owe it to yourself to try it. If you already have, you also already know.

Food was excellent but our party of six were served dinner individually about every 10-15 minutes. Apparently they were short staffed so we were there for over 2 hours waiting for all to be served.

Bangkok Thai never disappoints. We order take out frequently - either via Doordash or pick it up ourselves. The quality is consistent, and the food is delicious. We usually order Pad Thai with shrimp and Larb Duck, both Thai hot and most of the apps.

Have been coming here for years. Food is exceptional! They also do alot of takeout orders. Small family friendly restaurant. This is not a "food fast" restaurant which I 100% appreciate. It takes time to prepare each dish. So if your looking for mediocre "food fast" in an American style environment, this is not for you. If your looking for a calm family friendly quaint place where the locals go, you won't be disappointed!

Food was excellent tonight and the yellow curry was loaded with ingredients (sometimes it’s too much broth, but not tonight!). Please tell the chef this meal was very much appreciated!

No stars. The worst Thai experience ever. Ordered Pad Thai with Beef and an order of steamed dumplings for an appetizer. Dumplings came out fried so I sent them back. Pad Thai smelled like dog breath/beef was tough and of unknown origin. Steamed dumplings came out and tasted of ammonia. Paid for the food, didn't eat it and won't be back. Health inspectors should check this place out.

Flavors were terrific. I liked the atmosphere, also. Warm decor and nice staff.

LOVE the Fresh Garden Roll! I always get these w/the Green Curry at Thai Spice. Very fragrant curry loaded with goodies, and the Garden Rolls are a very nice size. One of my favorite Thai places for sure!

We've been to Bangkok Thai so many times I can't count because the food is so good. The Thai Cashew Nut is simply amazing. The Thai Spicy Basil is another hit. The prices have risen like everywhere, but it is still worth it. We used to order the Special Combo with appetizer, soup, and entree. Now we simply order the entrees. The dining area is smallish. If there's a loud person, you are going to hear their entire conversation as they don't play music. They do a lot of take out, so don't sit close to the busy door, especially in the colder months. Service is very good and clean. We will continue going to this restaurant.

If you want to dine in, prepare to be ignored. They surely care for takeout/delivery orders more. Took them an hour and half to get our mains. Meanwhile, guests that came much after us had already eaten and gone. Good food (two stars for that) can get you business, but good service is essential for repeat patrons. I will take my business to some other place next time.

The food here is so good! I always get their pad Thai (best pad Thai to me and I’ve had a lot of pad Thai everywhere). My husband gets their curry and he says it’s always good. Their lunch special is amazing! The one thing though if they could improve on is every time we dine there, half way through our meals they will bring our checks. Feels like they always try to rush us out of there. Always we would be still working through our food and the check is present on the table, hence we have to rush to finish up. But other than that, every thing is great at this place!

I love this place! The food is great, portion sizes are perfect, and they're very knowledgeable about what can be made gluten free. And the gluten free versions of dishes still have lots of flavor!

The staff are wonderful. I once accidentally tipped with a $100 bill instead of a $10 bill, and the waitress *ran out to my car* to give it back.

The service was amazing and the food came out quickly. We did the dinner for 2 which came out to like 25$ per person with tip and I thought it was a really good deal. You get an appetizer to share, your own soup and then an entree. I ordered the Raman kee mao with shrimp, it was noted as being a signature dish, and finished the whole plate. I would definitely come back and try more.

Hands down, the worst Thai food I ever had. Tom yum had no flavor. The spicy Thai basil was oily, each bit was essentially just a mouthful of oil. Tofu incredibly bland. No redemption to any of it, it was so hard to eat with how oily it was.

We eat Thai at least once a week. We're loyal Thai Cafe fans, but we decided to try it here strictly because of the positive reviews. It was a very underwhelming experience at best. Food quality was good, order was prompt, but flavor was very bland and lackluster. Unfortunately it's a no for us. Thai Cafe remains the Wake Forest Champ!

I moved here from a town south of Seattle in 2015. When I go back to my hometown, I would go to a Thai restaurant I loved. The last time I was there the building was gone! I thought I'd never tast the joy of Panamg curry again! Tonight I found a place I love again at this place!

We have been going there since they opened! The owner Duke is so sweet!
Moving to Wake Forest we still travel not far maybe 12 minutes. The food is excellent and service is always good! They have Gluten free options! Support local! We do!

Really good food, kind of steep on price. I asked for Thai spicy (spiciest) however they don't use fresh chili's just pepper flakes, not impressed, not spicy.

My wife and I tried this establishment in August 2021. Service and the overall experience was very poor. My food came to the table around ten minutes prior to when my wife’s entree arrived. The quality of the food was marginal at best and combined with the lousy service and high prices they earned zero stars.

Delicious from beginning to end!!! Excellent vegetarian & non-veg options. We had 3 appetizers: the garden salad with peanut sauce, veggie spring rolls and fried sweet potato. The last 2 came with plum sauce. Amazing, hot, and made fresh. For entrees, my husband had the Red Curry with Beef & brown rice, and I had the Masaman Curry made vegetarian style. It usually comes with your choice of jasmine or brown rice, but I was craving noodles so they were kind enough to substitute my rice with the noodles.

And it doesn’t stop there... for dessert we had the fried banana with ice cream and the Thai Coconut Cake which is a house specialty. I’m cutting back on dairy, so I didn’t eat the ice cream, but the rest of the dessert was great. My hubby ate the ice cream with all the dessert and loved it. You can get the fried banana without ice cream (my hubby wanted it, though). **Tip: the fried banana is usually served on top of the ice cream which causes it to melt quickly. Our server, Sar, let us know before he brought it out, so we asked him to serve it in separate dishes so that wouldn’t be an issue-especially since I’m off dairy ice cream anyways.

I ordered 2 coconut curry chickens and one was supposed to be vegetarian with not chicken they messed up my order and closed before the time they have posted so I could not go in to have them remake my food. Words of advice if you have a time posted to close, close at that time don’t be lazy

Food left a bad taste in my mouth . I ordered ginger lovers with chicken. I had ordered this over a year ago and it was very tasty but it was not good today. I will not be back.

I used to order quite often from here, and the food is good. Unfortunately, the service is the exact opposite. My husband and I ordered food to go, got home and realized we had someone else’s order. We called and explained what happened, and the only thing they said was to bring the food back to the restaurant. We had to drive back to the restaurant to pick up the food we actually ordered...they didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience or for their mistake. They just handed us our food and took the wrong order back without saying a word. We are never ordering from this restaurant again.

Very disappointing. We had to wait a long time to get our food ( the restaurant was empty). Once the food actually arrive it was cold and bland. We had to wait over 10 minutes to get our check... won’t be going back

Delicious Red Curry! Could of used a tad bit more rice, but other than that it was so yummy. Pricing was very reasonable too. Will be back!
