I ordered the crispy chili thai chicken which was supposed to include baby corn. What I got was chicken nugget style meat served in an icky sweet and sour sauce (not in the description) and no baby corn, it had pineapple instead. I don't think I'll come back as the food is nothing like the description and therefore I can't trust what I'm ordering. It also taste terrible as I mentioned it was icky sweet. It's supposed to be spicy. 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Nestled in the heart of the Morrisville, Thai Noodles is a delightful gem that promises to transport your taste buds straight to Thailand. On my recent visit, I had the pleasure of indulging in two standout dishes: the Kung Pao Chicken and the Clay Pot Chicken. Both dishes were nothing short of spectacular, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to authentic flavors and high-quality ingredients. And service by Victor is amazing and very helpful.
**Kung Pao Chicken**
The Kung Pao Chicken was a delightful blend of tender chicken pieces tossed with crunchy peanuts, vibrant bell peppers, and scallions, all enveloped in a rich, savory sauce. The balance of heat and sweetness was expertly achieved, with just the right amount of spice to awaken the palate without overwhelming it. Each bite was a delicious adventure, with the peanuts adding a satisfying crunch that complemented the succulent chicken perfectly. It’s evident that the chefs at Thai Noodles understand the importance of texture and flavor harmony.
**Clay Pot Chicken**
Next up was the Clay Pot Chicken, which was an absolute showstopper. Served in a sizzling clay pot, this dish was visually appealing and aromatic. The chicken was marinated to perfection, absorbing all the flavors from the rich, savory broth. The combination of earthy spices and fresh herbs created a depth of flavor that was truly memorable. The clay pot not only kept the dish warm but also intensified the flavors, giving it a rustic charm that’s hard to resist. The tender chicken practically melted in my mouth, and the accompanying vegetables were cooked to perfection, adding a fresh contrast to the dish's heartiness.
**Overall Experience**
The ambiance of Thai Noodles is warm and inviting, with friendly staff who are eager to recommend dishes and ensure that your dining experience is enjoyable. The vibrant decor and soothing background music create a cozy atmosphere, perfect for a casual meal or a special occasion.
In conclusion, if you're a fan of Thai cuisine or simply looking for a new favorite spot, Thai Noodles should be at the top of your list. The Kung Pao Chicken and Clay Pot Chicken are must-tries that will leave you craving more. With its exceptional flavors and welcoming atmosphere, this restaurant certainly earns a solid five stars in my book. Bon appétit!
Server was phenomenal. She was attentive and used the perfect amount of conversation. Enough to be personable but not too much. The food was fantastic. One of the only places I've eaten at in NC that was appropriately spicy.
This 5 star review was for Thai's Noodle which is no longer there, so I see once the name/business changed, they kept my review associated with this new restaurant(Sushi Iwa') which I have never been to nor evaluated. Thai's is gone, but they aren't forthcoming with the fact that Thai isn't there and now it's a Sushi restaurant. I live in the apartment right above them and saw the change.
I placed a GrubHub order for drunken noodles with vegetables and added chicken. The drunken noodles didn’t have any vegetables. Just noodles, chicken and onions. It tasted good though. And it came with a salad. I also ordered fried rice and it was good but was also lacking vegetables. I’d order from here again. Maybe I have to call and ensure they add the vegetables.
Me and my family come here every time I visit for the two-for-one sushi and the Masamon Curry. The food is always good and our usual server-- Victor-- goes above and beyond to make it a special experience. He even always remembers my Nana's favorite order. Would recomend!
Food was really good…green thai curry tasted nice.
Victor provided quick and superb service.
Food quantity was also ample.
Rewriting this as the Thai Noodles of old has been replaced by a chain Sushi Iwa. We got a sushi appetizer and while it was good everything else was a far cry from the greatness it once was. After a decade of attending this place I will not be back as the only thing palatable was the sushi and there are plenty of other places to go to.
Recent review:- I am sad Thai Noodles is no more. Sushi Iwa has almost the same staff but menu is different. I am not sure if chef is the same or not but it’s nowhere near Thai’s Noodles quality. We ordered few different rolls and they tasted like grocery store sushi. I also ordered fried rice with salmon skin and that was good.
Latest update:- they changed the location but still in same commercial complex. They have outdoor seating which was nice. Still best place to find good Thai food. Prices are still the same which is awesome because lot of restaurants have increased their prices.
Previous notes:- I have been to this place multiple times and always for lunch. On Friday's this place can get busy if you come anytime after noon. Finding car parking after noon is a hassle. Food here is good. I have tried Kung Pao chicken and Thai Cashew chicken. Both are good. I have had better Kung Pao chicken in past so I wouldn't call this as best. Their service is good. Spring rolls are crispy and lunch has options to pick brown rice. I will definitely come back. Try to arrive before noon. You will find parking and you will be done with you lunch in less than 30 mins.

Thai Noodles had better Thai food than the new Sushi Iwa. There are already several Sushi Iwa's in the area. We did not need another one. Very disappointed in the change. Will not be visiting anymore.
New management (as of 3 months ago). I liked the old restaurant (Thai Noodle)...but this version 2.0 exceeded my expectation!
The menu is largely the same, but def. more emphasis on sushi. Nevertheles, I got the wonton noodle soup. Simply stunning! The rest of the family had frid rice, mongolian beef, pad thai. All the food was excellent,.
Been living here 20+ years, this is now be my favourite asian restaurant in the Raleigh.Durham area.
Such consummate professionals, they even go above and beyond to pack your food to go if you need a box to take items home in! Fast and friendly service!
And of course it goes without saying if you’re getting thai you better get that Thai tea STAT!!
Great food and service.

Not the same since the rebrand to Sushi Iwa. We went to Thai’s Noodles for 8 years, but I guess we need a new place.

Great drunken noodles..they need extra help on wait staff
We have been going to Sushi Iwa in Apex for years and we're so excited to have it now in our backyard!! It's only been 3 days as Sushi Iwa and I've been tempted to go daily. Best sushi around and it's just the same quality we expect at the Apex location. If you're a vegetarian, this place is for you. There are so many veggie sushi options!! So happy they're here!
Update Nov 2024 -- Goodbye to my beloved, two-times-spicy Massaman curry now that you're Sushi Iwa. I cried a little today.
This is the worst Thai food I've ever eaten . The service was terrible, and the food was worse. The Pad Thai tasted ridiculously sweet, completely unappetizing. The girl server was rude and unhelpful; Very disappointing experience. Would never recommend.
Sushi gave me food poisoning. Only got half a tiny cup of yum yum sauce to go with hibachi.

I went with a group of 6 ladies. The food was good, the service was excellent. Viktor was the one who served us and he was so patient and very welcoming. Overall we had a great experience.Parking might be a little challenging during businees hours but it was free. I would highly recommend.

This was the first time in a LONG time that the entirety of my picky family had something to eat and enjoy in an Asian restaurant. The staff was absolutely lovely: so sweet and very quick with our orders. The presentation was so beautiful we almost didn't want to disrupt it - I'm glad we did though because it was DIVINE!! My 9 year old brother ate half of his ramen in 15 minutes and my Father who doesn't like Asian food downed 3/4s of his Pineapple Fried Rice. Everyone shared a bit of everything, the portions were very generous but not overwhelming, the table was roomy and the seats were very comfy. They had sauce on the table including low sodium options and overall this place was absolutely incredible. I'll be coming back very soon!!
PS: I would definitely recommend the Soba & the Drunken Noodles (these are spicy) !!
Overall, everything is good. Just wish they would open on Sundays
Not a great place to pick the order. As it is doesn’t have reserved spot for pickup, and place is really busy so it will take time to find parking spot.
Great food and service!! Sushi boat is a great deal!!
I tried the Spicy Basil Fish and loved the taste. However, the portion size was quite small for $18. They should consider increasing the quantity to better match the price.
Thai Noodles - Morrisville
We were very disappointed with our dining experience at Thai Noodles. We ordered the bogo sushi and there was little to no taste. The tuna was very bland. We told the server and the response was “everyone has different tastes“
They didn’t offer us any other rolls or offer to deduct it off of our bill, they actually told us the kitchen was closed. We were given togo boxes and weren’t able to finish our meal, we were told they were “closing” .. so after spending close to $100 and basically being asked to leave. I will not patron this restaurant any longer, there are too many restaurant to choose from.
Very disappointed. 1 ⭐️
My family and I have come here multiple times now loving it more each time. We always enjoy our delicious food and the service is amazing 👏!
The noodle dishes are always fresh and delicious. I have had a few things on the menu, including the drunken noodles, pad thai and Singapore noodles and they are always good. The service is ok.
Great menu, the meals were very well seasoned, with large portions. And price for our lunch was a treat. We will certainly be back.
We've been coming here for years since it was in the old location. It was always good, but it's gotten better over the years. Once in a while, we try different Thai restaurants, and even when they are good, they are not as good as this one. We keep coming back because they never disappoint.
Delicious food, nice atmosphere.
Sushi rolls are good. Pad thai was average
I come here all the time! Their drunken, pad see ew, and tan tan noodles are amazing, as is their Massaman curry, pineapple fried rice and Thai cashew nuts. Great vegetarian options!
I ordered a tonkatsu bento box, the waitress did not understand what tonkatsu was and tried to tell me she would substitute it with teriyaki. My "tonkatsu" was American chicken tenders drenched in mayonnaise. The salad was very wet lettuce and tomato slices, and the "pickles" were a few pieces of carrot.
My mom ordered gluten free noodles and they gave her a gluten-containing spring roll without mentioning it.
When I was disappointed in the amount of sauce in the bento box she told me "it will be fine you [will] like it".
I have had real Asian food many times and it has never tasted so very American. Certainly not worth $15.
Upon paying, she turned her screen and tried to give herself a 20% tip unprompted and without asking while the card was in the reader.
I made a to go order and the man at the front was extremely friendly and committed to making sure my order was right. Great service.
Under new management
Tried Pho today
Delicious!!
I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience at this place. Today, a group of 12 of us went there, and unfortunately, the waitress didn't bother refilling our water or checking in on us. To make matters worse, when we requested separate bills, she insisted on splitting the bill instead. Additionally, she gave us limited options for tips, pressuring us to choose between 18% or 20%, and she swiftly tapped the screen. In the end, I paid $27 for a $15 Pho, feeling completely ripped off.
Used to be one of my favorite places — they changed name and their menu. BOGO sushi is gone unfortunately. Made an error on one dish with an allergy, apologized and remade it. It is just not what it used to be. I asked when it changed and they said on Monday so I think they might be working out some kinks still
Just finished my dish and it was great. Highly recommend!
Thai's noodle has been our favorite sushi restaurant for many years, and find the prices to be very reasonable and the quality of the sushi is excellent. Relaxing and clean atmosphere with very friendly staff. We often get sushi for take out and the quality and presentation of sushi is just as good as in the restaurant.
Our favorite rolls are Scary Spider, Tiger, Thais Roll, and lovers roll.... though we like them all! The pad Thai and chicken is also great!!
Highly recommend this restaurant.
I wanted to like it because my cousin talked so highly about it. Neither the appetizer or entree were very flavorful. The employees were really nice and we were greeted as soon as we walked in.
Great place to eat. Have never had a bad dish
The food is delicious. I mean they have the best Thai Fried rice and their pho is so comforting and delicious. Every time I come in here, I am blown away. *Chef's kiss*
Very low quality Thai food.
I’ve eaten here twice now. First time I got there drunken noodles, miso soup, and dumplings. Very classic meal but very very bland. After a few bites I just threw it out. Second time I went I ate at the restaurant. I got two sushi rolls. fish didn’t taste fresh and the rolls were warm. Very disappointed and don’t recommend eating here.
A waste of hard earned money. It was terrible. Veg orders have shrimp. What’s wrong with you? I ordered a tom yum soup. It was very literally hot water with tomatoes and dash of fish sauce. Not a single piece of lemon grass or spice. Nothing. I could have made the same by boiling a tomato in the microwave. VERY VERY disappointed. It cost me hard earned money. Seriously, can I have my money back? You definitely don’t deserve it
By far the BEST Sushi, pho, and Hibachi in the triangle!
The manager was absolutely horrible to me and my friend. The wrong order was put in and he blamed us and told us we had to pay for everything and he yelled at us and called us names. We eventually got a 10% off because of the waitress who was really nice and respectful. The manager even yelled at our waitress and caused a scene, I loved coming to this restaurant and bringing my friend but now I will no longer eat there because of this experience. I was very disappointed and upset and the owner should hire a new manager because that was absolutely unacceptable.
Love this place. Amazed that it is not busier.
Cozy place with great food
Manager was awful. We accidentally ordered something we didn’t like and the manager immediately started getting defensive and attacking my friend and I bc we just wanted to at least switch it with the one we wanted but they just wouldn’t accommodate or at least get a percentage off. Just the way the manager was acting towards us was very hostile and disrespectful. We understand that we made a mistake but that doesn’t mean he needed to act that way. The owner was no where to be seen but I hope he finds out what kind of people he’s allowing to run his restaurant.
We have enjoyed visiting Thai’s Noodles for years and can say we have always been satisfied. Definitely worth the visit regardless of taking out or dinning in. If you like Thai food make a stop by Thai’s Noodles and enjoy.
Consistently excellent food. Red Curry is amazing, sushi are awesome. Love this place.
Like always food is awesome, Service is good but looks like they are short of staff . They should have atkeast turned on their entertainment systems 📺.
This place is great!! Great value too. Haven’t had a bad dish yet. Always friendly and usually fast. Highly recommend.
I enjoy the food here the menu is pretty extensive. I can say that I have not ordered anything that was a disappointment.
We ordered spicy chicken fried rice it is not at all spicy and the chicken doesn’t seem to properly cooked it was kind of a raw.
Couple of months back it was really good and now not sure why the taste is not consistent.
Food and service was ok
Ridiculous place, went there after reading good food reviews , but this place is unwelcoming, awaited for long time and nobody bother to stop by to take our order despite the fact the restaurant was literally empty with only two customers having their meals….seemed liked servers were busy gossiping than attending the customers
We had a great experience here. We started with the chicken satay and the shrimp and pork summer rolls. Both fantastic. My daughter got the kids lo mein which was an adult sized portion. My other daughter and wife shared the pad see ew and I had drunken noodles. Couldn't complain about much. Drunken noodles could've been a little brighter in flavor and i asked for Thai hot...it was spicy but not Thai hot. Decent value, good service.... not the best Thai you'll have, but far from the worst! We'll definitely go back
Very good
I was here earlier in the day and the food was good and the customer service was amazing very good job
Fantastic chicken pad thai! The portions were huge too. I will definitely be back.
Very rude customer service and worst taste...
Definitely coming back. Food was great and portions were more than expected. Could do a bit more for the atmosphere.
Service is always on point. Rarely dine out, but this place is one of our regular spots. Won't find a sushi roll you don't like!
The first time I tried drunken noodles was at this restaurant. I’ve tried many more since then but no one is as good as Thai Noodles! We love dining in here- it’s great for a quiet and quick diner. The servers are very friendly.
Very good! I got pad see eew. wish the portions were a bit bigger
Extremely rude, under staffed, and so so food. We are vegetarians and was served pork dumplings. After realizing it, when asked about it, the waiter gave excuses than being apologetic. She knew we were vegetarians, assured us that all of our food was vegetarian. As we left the restaurant, no thank you nor sorry about the mix up. I guess there is a difference in the way this restaurant serves Indians vs non Indians? Never returning to this pathetic restaurant
I ordered Tan Tan noodles, the food and service was outstanding!
Great food. Friendly and fast service.
Best Pad Thai in the area don't get medium
Though very spicy 🥵
The service was terrible.
Amazing!!! Love good Thai food and this place is great. Best green curry I’ve ever had!
Panang curry was flavorful and portion was generous. A little pricey around 20 bucks per entree but worth it.
Nice place for dinner. Ample options to select. Menu items are well described. Although service took a while food arrived quickly and it was delicious. Next visit will sit by the Sushi bar.
Worst customer service. Rude behavior by the server
They know how to cook Thai
Great tasting food. Been going there for years. I have had better tasting eel sauce, but I think that is a personal preference. Keep up the good work.
The food is absolutely great! Try the drunken noodles or the Mongolian beef! Winners for sure. The only criticism is that they were short staffed during the lunch rush.
Fabulous sushi!
OMG sorry I didn’t take picture but this place is a hidden gem! How come I never come here before! The interior is way better than it looks from outside!!
Thai fried rice thai spicy level was real spicy for this Korean&Indian!! We asked chilli oil and it was super spicy too!!
Thai fried rice, Sun roll, Carterpillar roll all so fresh and delicious!!! First of all their rice itself was so good.
I just ordered Banana spring roll as dessert and keep my fingers crossed!! >> It’s hell delicious!! Crispy cinnamon banana and icecream!
A great place to get a decently priced lunch. I had a spicy cashew chicken Thai dish that was absolutely wonderful. A generously sized portion, served with the right amount of space, and hot enough that I think they made it in a volcano.
Had lunch here 3 times. It’s always scores 5 out of 5. Super yummy Thai food, service is outstanding
Not Thai food. Not good food.
We used to come here often before they moved locations and they always had great food and service. Today's experience was not so good. OK Thai curry! the quality of food has gone down since they moved to their new location. the server we got was rude, and indifferent when we told her we didn't like one of the dishes.
we were a bit disappointed overall with the experience.
Yes please!!! Great lunch spot! Super busy. However my husband and I went for a quick dinner before a flight. Our server was SUPER sweet and fast! We were in and out in like 30. I can’t wait to go back when I’m not so pressed for time. I got the sushi. So many options, and I loved my selections- Hawaiian roll and the Son Roll. And my husband got the Spicy Thai chicken. It was all perfect!
Excellent lunch spot! Service was excellent and super fast. Quality and portion size was very good. Spicy selection was not that spicy - disappointed in myself that I wasn't brave enough to order Thai Hot. Great place!
Outstanding food and service.
The seafood and vegetables were so fresh and delicious.
Calamari was served hot and crisp.
You have to try this place!!
Their almost $20 pad that sucks….
Super friendly service, good food and good drinks. Recommend the sushi! Would go back
Food is always good. We enjoy thier sushi very much. California Fire rolls are our favorite. Service is great. When they make a mistake they make things right. I recommend.
We ordered about ~1 week ago and were extremely disappointed with the food. The rice on some sushi tasted old and was inedible.
Nice people and decent service but unfortunately the food was subpar, especially the sushi. I didn’t feel like it was at all fresh and I couldn’t eat more than a few bites. The non sushi dishes were okay and the appetizers were good. I hope more attention can be put into food quality in the future!
Their lunch deals are unbeatable and their Thai tea is my fav. The employees are kind too.
I called to inquire about a low sodium option for Pad Thai as a dietary restriction. I mentioned no MSG as well. The polite young lady kindly informed me none of the food is prepared with MSG there. Just what I hoped for. She said they could use less fish sauce which would lower the sodium. I agreed and ordered to go. The dish was delicious! Excellent customer service, will be back.
So far, the worst sushi and sashimi I’ve ever had. All fishes had the same any taste. Salad had a lot of sweet sauce that I can’t eat.
I really don’t recommend spending your money there.
Decided to come here for a spontaneous date night and was blown away! Sushi was absolutely delicious and there was such a wide variety of rolls. The food came much faster than expected especially since we had ordered 4 different complex rolls. What’s more all rolls were BUY ONE GET ONE FREE. 10/10 experience will definitely be coming back.
Awesome Food
Visited only recently to this place. Food taste is really good. Went there about 4 times just within a month. Would recommend Drunken Noodles here. Loved it. Spice it up a bit if you can take the heat.
A great place for lunch, perhaps less so for dinner. They have a long menu, and it's not consistent quality across the whole menu, but if you get the right items, they are great. Their penang curry and drunken noodles are family favorites.
For $13 you get a ton of sushi for the lunch special and it's good! It was busy and the hostess/waitress was working hard.
We have been visiting this place since few years now. However since covid the Food here has been consistently low quality and not to the expectations. The quality is degraded, very less quantity, never got the right spice level inspite of repeatedly mentioning. Probably stop selling your sauce and add enough to your dish so customer can enjoy the taste.
Needs to bring back outdoor seating.
Don't go. Not even worth reviewing.
Great meal. We got sushi, udon and hibachi. Fresh food, service a little slow but I think they were understaffed for the number of tables.
Wonderful dining experience and our server was very attentive! Our entire family was very pleased.
Great food, amazing service (dyong (sp?) was wonderful!), this place should be 10x as busy! Will definitely be back.
Amazing sushi, great waitress!
Biased and Rude Service
We used to love eating here, but since they moved to the new location, many things went downhill, especially the service.
We came in when there were only 3 total tables and ordered sushi and pho. After a very long time of waiting, the sushi arrived. We finished it and waited for another 25 minutes for the pho, and it never came. (By the time many other tables arrived after us has already got their food). We asked politely about when will the pho be ready, and the lady said that she was busy and there were only two servers in total so she can't serve the food, and told us "do not rush her" in a rude manner. So we waited again for 10 minutes and asked her again. She argued with similar things and told us not to rush them and find a ridiculous reason that our table is too small and they can't place pho and sushi plate together on the table—worst experience at here ever. Probably won't consider coming here again!
What kind of place doesn't give you utensils for takeout? I had to eat the pad thai with my hands 🙃
This was one of my favorite restaurants but since they moved the food has lost its taste. It is inconsistent, oily and/or lacking taste. I had the drunken noodle more like drunken in oil.
I highly recommend the TNT Roll here, one of the best sushi rolls I've had in the area. Also, if you are looking for ethnic cuisine, definitely order one of the Vietnamese dishes such as Saigon street noodles. The Thai stuff on the main menu is more of the American version if that's what you're looking for, the Vietnamese stuff on the back specials menu is definitely more ethnic/authentic stuff. Overall I love this place. :)
Good Thai food at reasonable prices. I did takeout and the food was ready right at the time they said and ready to go.
Very bad service over the phone. NOT recommended.
We went for a party of 3 people ordered vegetarian pho, drunken noodles, Massaman curry, the food here was good and full of taste. However, we experienced a biased behavior from our server. The server did not ask us about ‘what drinks we would like to have’, whereas we heard him asking this question at the other tables. Also, 18% gratuity was added to our check (for a party of 3) without letting us know, while the menu clearly highlights that the gratuity automatically will be added for a party of 6 people or more. Upon inquiring, the server told us that it was added because of holiday season.
Sushi rolls were buy one get one free and were very fresh. My wife had green curry and said its the best she had in the area. The new location is much more welcoming and the service was attentive.
This place is fantastic amazing food and prices are awesome. Definitely coming back
This is a new restaurant. I was in the mood for some Pad Thai and gave this place a try. I was not disappointed. I ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp and it was delicious! Customer service was good and their lunch prices were very responsible.
Best Thai ever!!!
Best sushi I've had. Excellent service.
Loved the drunken noodles, great presentation and service
The food tasted great and it was fresh! I got the pad thai and that basil and both were delicious and came out quickly. I also got thai tea for dessert and it was wonderful!
Their appreciate is cut way too thick. They are huge slices for sushi. I Love Sushi that is bite-size. They can use a lot more flavor in their Sushi. Their balance it's off. The ratio of meat to Rice and other flavors is not balanced. They could stand to improve on the sushi.
Just ok for dinner
The food here has been consistently excellent. Any chance I get when I'm in the area of the restaurant I'd like to go, and I honestly wish I was actually closer so I could go more often
