The worst restaurant experience I’ve had in my entire 44 year old life. The papaya salad had some brown sauce that tasted like old cloak water, the pad Thai noodles were over cooked and the tom yam soup was watery and tasteless. Stinky place too. Nice service though.

I recommend the Tom Kha soup and summer rolls. Their peanut sauce is wonderful! The Pad Thai is good too, but I have had better. They have decent Japanese options as well.

We love this little restaurant / grocery store! The people are so nice, and the food is freshly made and perfectly seasoned. We had the summer rolls, chicken pad thai, and spicy basil stir fry. Special requests for extra spicy, mild, or no cilantro are no problem at all. These people are very accommodating.

This restaurant was originally owned by my wife's cousin and was ok. The new owners have really done a fantastic job with the entire business. The store looks great and the restaurant is serving up awesome Thai food in no time at all. Many of the dishes are authentic like I would expect from my mom in-laws kitchen and others are more American takes. All around great place and the prices won't be beat. You can enjoy a hot plate of food for less than a fast food combo. HIGHLY recommend!!

This is one of my FAVORITE restaurants. In fact, this restaurant is the primary Thai restaurant I visit in the area. EVERYTHING is delicious. The staff is wonderful and friendly. The food is fresh and packed with flavor. I usually get their Pad Woon Sen with Chicken or vegetables, Chinese style rice with chicken or chinese sausage, and appetizers (spring rolls, cheeseburger rolls, dumplings steamed, and papaya salad). My family and I have tried all of their appetizers at this point...AMAZING. Another perk is that you are able to buy Asian foods and other products while there. Definitely give them a chance. You will not be disappointed.
Side note: I wish I had photos of the food before posting. It was delicious. Be careful with the spice request because the heat is there. I like my food spicy and my family cannot handle my level of spice.

Take in a live play at the Joy Theatre across the street and make it a real enjoyable evening!

We got a nice variety of dishes and for the most part it was all very good! The papaya salad was much much too spicy for this farang. I know it said spicy but I figured it was be American/Thai spicy! Other than that very very pleased. Not impressed with the service, the man working was not very nice.

This place gave KM its Thai food first. There food is absolutely fantastic. Anyone who claims there food is bad obviously is a Karyn or just don't like Thai food. I could give thos place 10 stars there food is so delicious.

Came here after a hike at crowder mtn. Ordered spring rolls, summer rolls, papaya salad, crab rangoons, and a #7 noodle with beef. Food was great and the prices are very affordable. Service was good, too!
There aren’t many Thai places that make the green papaya salad, so I have been looking out and finally! The other reviewer dissing the papaya salad is ignorant. It is served in a spicy fish sauce, which yeah ofc it’s brown tinted and has a strong flavor, but I dig that. Food was fresh! Even got to shop a few fun items at the store after eating. Picked up some white rabbit candies, seaweed snacks, rice paper to make summer rolls at home, glass noodles and some of my favorite lemongrass chili lime flavored ramen. My only request: please please stock the Knorr Tom Yum broth cubes! I can only buy them directly from overseas via ebay, but the cube kind is the best! Thanks for a great experience.

Great place to eat. Love the Crab Rangoon and the Curry is better than most of the upper scale Thai restaurants I’ve been too.

Friendly and good food

I bartend in downtown kings mountain and one of my regular bar patrons spoke very highly of this place, so I decided to try it. Let me just say, they were right. The food is FRESH and the service is quick. I tried the beef pho and fried gyoza and both dishes were delicious!

I got basil fried rice and it was a bit bland; it was spicy, but lacked the depth of flavor you would get with the same dish at other Thai restaurants. Still, it was palatable. I liked the little grocery store/market.

Thai food is my favorite, so I was ecstatic when I found Thai Hut as it is closer to my home than other Thai restaurants. The atmosphere is okay. It’s located in an old storefront in Kings Mountain’s old town. The food, however, is amazingly delicious. The presentation is wonderful, and the food is fresh. Serving sizes are perfect. I’m looking forward to trying more entrees. I hope this restaurant is here to stay!

The place is a bit surprising when you enter since it is essentially in the corner of an oriental market. This is our go to location for lunch during the workday. Good selection of food available. Spring rolls are very good as is everything else we have tried. You can order heat levels up to 5 but a 5 isn’t all that hot if you like hot food. After you eat check out the market, very interesting items you can’t find most anywhere else.

Me and my family ate here for the 1st time and we loved the food. But the service wasn't as good as it could be. The wife and daughter didn't get a tea refill and when I asked for a refill didn't get a full glass of tea . Daughter asked for steak sauce and was told they didn't have any. I know this is Asian restaurant but still ppl like steak sauce over shrimp sauce . If we would have had our drink refilled and they would have had steak sauce they would have had all 5 stars from us. Hope this helps

This is one of the best tasting dives out there. And a great Asian store. Just expect it to be a true Asian store. Not much talk lots of work. You need to make your own atmosphere.

Passing through for a delivery near here. I was running low on hours and I decided to shut down not too far from their location. Lucky me,because I came across a good meal and found my favorite brand of white coffee. I will definitely revisit here again in the future because they gave me a good first impression.

Loved the food!!! We ordered an appetizer, and it got to us less than 5 min later, delicious and fresh! We tried a curry, Pad Thai and hibachi, they were all phenomenal!!!!!! And their iced Thai tea is to die for!!!!
The only downside to our visit is that we're not from the area 😭😭. But if we are ever around KM we will make sure to come back. Service was great and friendly.Prices very reasonable. This place is a gem!!!!

I've tried several different items from their menu. Not found one I didn't like. The vegetables are tasty and crunchy. Not overcooked. Hibachi steak/ chicken has a lot of flavor and very tender.

Food was decent it used to be a lot better than it is now.

It’s a tiny place and I typically love the “little hole in the wall” restaurants. I ordered the pho and was super excited but that didn’t last long. It says it’s beef broth but the broth was almost clear and unfortunately really bland. Rice noodles are typically bland so the broth is where all the flavor is supposed to be. I have no idea how this place has the ratings it does. I’ll go to the peanut house instead next time…

I cannot possibly put into words how delicious my food was in this under-rated restaurant/Thai food store. The whole building was filled to the brim with delicious fragrances. I didn't think it was possible for the taste of the food to be better than the smell of it, but I was so, so wrong. This restaurant has exceeded my expectations by light-years and I will 100% be back for many years to come.

I was nervous at first because this is a little hole in the wall, but I was pleasantly surprised. I got their crab rangoon and their cashew chicken... Both were fantastic! I also got the Thai coffee - I didn't love that to much, it tasted like whiskey to me. And even though I didn't finish it, it kept me up all night long (LOL). The market was great too! I enjoyed checking things out and buy a few special treats for my kiddos.
For the price - you can't go wrong here!

It's a hole in the wall kind of place, inside a little store. Don't let that dissuade you. Seat yourself and enjoy. My food was excellent! Red curry w/Tofu & and a honeydew bubble tea. My boyfriend had cashew chicken, he said it was banging.

Love this place!! Visiting from out of town and were introduced to it by friends. Everything we tried was amazing: pork satay, spring rolls, summer rolls, Tom Kha soup, red curry, crab rangoon, chicken fried rice, spicy basil stir fry, and sweet and sour stir fry. Super easy to order almost anything to be made vegan / plant-based. Highly recommend and I wish they had it where we live!

Went there for lunch today after passing by it for years. One thing I can say don't judge the outside and turn away. Inside is clean and the food is excellent. And the food is so inexpensive. I will be returning soon.

Whole fried fish it wasn't bad and Thai Stir Fried beef over cooked. We also had bubble tea, not good at all. I've eaten at so many Asian restaurants, I had read the reviews my hopes were high. I was disappointed. The market part was a surprise with a good selection of Asian foods, I would shop there for that. I would give them a second chance to be sure. There were 2 of us, my friend is from Beijing, I've traveled and lived everywhere. We both know good Asian food.

Very disappointed, after the good reviews I really don't understand how people think this is good. They used the wrong kind of noodles in my dish I guess that's all they had. They were just a big sticky blob. It was obvious the chicken was pre cooked. Boiled and refrigerated overnight actually. I've eaten it at home that way so it wasn't hard to tell . It was very dry and reheated .
Pretty flavorless to tell the truth. The rolls were overcooked and oil soaked.
Sorry I just don't know what the bug deal is over this place

Amazing food. I had the Pho and my husband had the Chinese fried rice with chicken and shrimp. I had a boba tea taro flavored and my husband had boba tea coffee flavored and WE WERE AMAZED that we can eat this style of food closer without having to go to Charlotte

Wonderful dinner! I judge every Thai restaurant by it's Larb. They did a superb job with it! I got the combo which came with a beef broth soup and sticky rice. The very large portion of soup had a healthy amount of tripe, beef tendon, beef slices, very fresh and perfectly cooked vegetables with a light taste. I was very impressed with this establishment. The Asian market was fully stocked with all the hard to find goodies you'd expect. I was able to get a sweet dried squid snack that I haven't been able to find since I was in FL and some great dipping sauce for my Larb that I'll be able to take home and enjoy along with the other groceries I also bought. Great prices. Great food. Friendly staff. I'm glad I stopped in. It's about 35-45 minutes from north Charlotte and I'd make that drive anytime to enjoy such authentic food. Lifelong customer after 1 trip. Highly recommend!

Been coming here for a long time and it's always good food and service.

The food is amazing and the Asain Market inside is a plus! The atmosphere is very quiet and private, perfect for a huge bowl of Pho. My recommendations are the Beef Pho, the Taro Buttle Tea and whatever snacks you pick up on the way out are a great way to end a evening out. Also the prices are fair, especially for how big the Pho is.

My white rice was fresh and not dry or overcooked which is hard to get just right for many restaurants in my opinion. We had the pad Thai which had a good balance of sweet savory flavor very comparable to some of our local favorites Pad Thai dish. The papaya had a decent authentic flavor and spiciness that was delicious. Overall food was great and I was pleased with the price also.
Nothing fancy about the dining area but not dirty or unpleasant. Food was fresh and timely. Service was good and for take out would be great. Just nothing beyond basic for dining in style. Overall we will visit anytime we are in town because it was a good experience.

Living near the Thai Hut is one of our favorite parts about living in Kings Mountain! The food is so good and consistent- we never get tired of it. I definitely recommend the yellow and red curries. And the grocery store is full of great stuff too.

It was ok I guess for the area it's in. Kinda bland. And My tummy is still unsettled hours later. Maybe just me.

This place is fantastic! We eat here a few times a month. We usually go for the pho and a few sides every time! The grocery store is an added bonus as well. It's a great little family owned place and we will continue to come back over and over.

The food tasted good. The order was ready to pick up when they said it would, and it was hot. The prices are very reasonable. The Ginger sauce stir fry I had was very good, after I added the soy sauce packet because it wasn’t savory enough. The Lad Na was also very good. The Tom Yum soup was flavorful but didn’t have much in it except mushrooms and the shrimp we ordered. Many of the dishes will add $1 for each protein you add. It’s still reasonable and comes out to be less than $10 per dish for the most part.
