I can’t remember all the names of the plates but I got pictures. Service was decent. The bathroom did have a funny smell but most of them do. They don’t have ginger tea. I would recommend stopping here for sure! We will be back as well.

My daughter and I went for early dinner. It was very nice, clean, and comfortable. We each had never been here before so we ordered foods we have had before. I can not tell you how good and amazing the food was and the Mango and sticky rice dessert for the love of everything fantastic! I highly recommend this resturant. Our food was hot when we got it and the atmosphere was great for a quiet dinner or something special. We love this place.

First time there. I walked in and was greeted with kindness. The order wasn’t ready, however, I was early. They brought my food out and apologized for it taking a little while. That was on me, however, she had great customer service anyway. Now, it was time to eat. They did not fail. Thanks for a great first time experience, you will see us again when our very rare eat out time comes back around. We also recommended here to a few family and friends. Dont let the 4 stars cloud your judgement. Everything was great!

The best thai food in Hickory. There are not many great places to eat in hickory, but this place is pretty amazing. Their noodles (for drunken noodles and pad thai) are house-made and they make their spring rolls on order instead of making them the night before.

The food takes a bit of time to come out, but I didn't mind waiting.

Wow, talk about a hidden gem….id never tried this Thai place but saw some unique noodle dishes and very decent pricing so I placed an order….while I got takeout, the inside in incredibly clean…nice low lights with a red glow….fantastic bar with 2 huge tvs…..such a cool place for dining in….but the food, wow….i asked for heat on one dish, perfect….and this noodle soup with tofu, AMAZING….even the duck sauce for my egg rolls, im pretty sure thats made from scratch, not a packet. I can’t recommend enough how good this place is!

The red curry seafood combo was so good! I really enjoyed the Thai dumplings as well.

Incredible food . Consistent good service . Even when we have called near closing the woman taking our pick up order is always so kind ! Smiling and helpful . Lots of vegan options and if you like spicy make sure you order it THAI SPICY . Beware though it'll have you fired up . This is coming from someone that eats ghost peppers daily . Thank you for your outstanding food every time .
Edited to say you must try the appetizer sampler ! Btw , just went there again tonight and everything is just as delicious . I would vote them best Thai in town !

Had lunch here today, food was soooooooo good!!! I had Hibachi tofu; husband had Drunken Noodles. We both loved our dishes!! Server was very quick and attentive. Highly recommend this place!!

Sign in entryway said to seat ourselves, only 1 server and please be patient. Menus on tables already. One gentleman was working the front. Was greeted within 90 seconds, had a diet Pepsi within another 2 minutes. Order taken. Four tables with guests and had my food within 5 minutes. Ordered the Thai ginger chicken, Tom kha ga soup and fried spring roll. The food was PERFECT. I've been in NC since April and have been somewhat disappointed with the quality of ethnic food. Chinese not so great, Japanese not authentic, no good Indian food that I've found yet and really bland Thai attempts. This place is IT!!! The Tom kha ga soup was amazing. Plenty of veggies in the spring roll. Ginger chicken was saucy, flavourful, fresh, tons of veggies, tons of perfectly cooked chicken. Price was very fair for quantity of food. The server was absolutely perfect - kind, polite, unobtrusive, and timely. I have found my new Thai restaurant.... so happy!!

Their curry is also very good and I'd highly recommend any of them, the Massaman curry is my personal favorite though.

The Tom Kha soup with some sticky rice to put in it is also wonderful. Nothing but praise from me, especially combined with their prices being reasonable all across the board.

I've been eating here for a few years now, and this is the place I take all my friends. I love everything here, but I always eat Yum Beef and Satay chicken, no matter how much I like the other food I always go back to the yum beef.

I so wanted to love this place based on the reviews. But... sorry it was the first and last time I will get food here. I love thai food and am always searching for the best soup and dumplings. This one rated absolutely last. My order was simple. Seafood tomyum soup was very bland.It did was lacking that lemongrass flavor I have come to love and I was disappointed that the seafood consisted of 2 shrimp 1 scallop and 2 cut up mussels. The chicken wings were burnt and dry. Most of what was on the mekvilai treasure platter was overcooked and dry with no flavor. Even the sauces were bland. I'll stick to the Peanut house when I'm craving soup.My husband was even more disappointed than I was. Unfortunatly most restraunts we are trying in the area based on so called great reviews have been quite a disappointment and the ones we did enjoy have gone down hill in quality and flavor.... update.. I let the soup sit in the fridge over night and the broth had concentrated and was better but the seafood was stiff by then. That's about all I can say.

This is a hidden gem in the Viewmont area of Hickory. This restaurant has dim lighting, except at each table, where there is a hanging dedicated light over head. We were there late in the evening, and only a few other tables were taken. The eating area is very clean and organized. The food is very fresh tasting, flavorful, and not overcooked. We will definitely go here again in the future.

Hands down the best Thai restaurant in town. My husband and I grab dinner from here at least once a week. We mix it up and have never found a dish we didn't love. 10/10 recommend

I've dined here for at least fifteen years. My family does mostly takeout, and occasionally we dine-in. The food has been consistently delicious, and the staff has always gone the extra mile. It's one of Hickory's hidden gems. Shhhhh, don't tell anyone!

This place is only getting two stars instead of one because their food is actually really good as is the service. The problem is that we arrived at 6:05pm, ordered at 6:12pm and were just told at 7:44pm that the kitchen had Just started preparing our food and it would be 20-30 more minutes. We had to leave.

Simply amazing! If you've got an itch for Thai food this is the place to be. Its not crowded inside and as a result, the atmosphere is nice and quiet, allowing you to enjoy your food in comfort, and some food it is. Any menu item is virtually guaranteed to put a smile on your face. I would recommend the Drunken Noodle. There are also great choices for the kids and they offer various bubble teas and the likes. You really cant go wrong with Mekvilai!

The best Thai food around Hickory..

Food was delicious, great Thai taste. I had the drunken noodles and it was awesome; taste just as great as the drunken noodles from the lao store in Newton. The only con was the slow service, took over 30 minutes+; only one server in the whole restaurant and the phone just kept ringing but no one to answer. Overall experience would be a 4.5 because the food was definitely two thumbs up. Definitely worth a try but go if you have time/no rush or try to order by phone- if anyone is available to pick up.

This was our first time here. The decor feels upscale, the menu is excellent, and the staff is attentive. They offer a separate wine menu.
The Tom Ka soup was superb, as well as the Thai Dumplings. I had Drunken Noodles, which was excellent, although I could not get through all of the noodles. My partner had the Thai Ginger. The fusion of tastes was out of this world. This is BY FAR the best local Thai restaurant. This will be our go-to Thai place.

The Treasure App was delightful! The Church Chee Duck was by far my favorite dish and will be back for more!

It was really good.....wasn't sure...we were looking for somewhere to eat in a town we've never been to. Food was tasty and good, service friendly and quick...will have to stop on way back through again sometime!

Food was excellent and reasonably priced. I had the "Sunday Special" which was the Ginger Chicken Bowl plus a crispy roll for only $7.95. My bride had the "Drunken Noodles" with tofu...basically wide, tasty noodles with veggies and tofu. That was under $7. We also enjoyed an appetizer of fried tofu strips with an excellent peanut sauce. Downsides? It's located in a slightly creepy mall, and the bathroom was not clean. All in all, a good outing.
