Delicious food and a little hidden jewel in China Grove. Reminds me of a NY restaurant. The Thai Fried Rice was as good as any I've ever had. Can't recommend it enough if you are in the area.

Decided to take a chance & try this place for the first time today & I'm so glad I did! I placed an online order for red curry, garlic chicken box & crab rangoon. Online ordering was easy as the majority of the dishes had descriptions & photos, which was helpful since I am not familiar with Thai cuisine. My order was ready for pickup before the estimated time. The restaurant is small with several tables & a bar. The place was clean with minimal, but attractive, decor. I arrived less than 10 minutes after opening & all but one table was already full. I cannot fully attest to the service since I did not dine-in, but the gentleman who brought my order out was polite & quick. I wasn't sure what my expectations were but the food definitely exceeded them! Not only was it aesthetically pleasing, but tasted great as well. The curry was spicy enough to clear my stuffy nose, but not so much that it overpowered the dish. All of the vegetables were fresh & crisp. The fried items that came in my garlic chicken box were crispy and hot, even after a 15-minute drive home. The crab rangoons were also crispy & delicious! I was pleasantly surprised by this little hole-in-the wall & am excited to return & sample other delicious dishes they have to offer.

I had never been to Downtown China Grove. Got hungry and decided to try something new. Walked in & asked if they would still serve us as there was only an hour before they closed for break. We sat down & had a Wonderful chat with our server. We ordered & it was probably the best Asian food I have had in a while. The shrimp were fresh & not over cooked. The mangos added just the right amount of sweet to the dish & the portion was ample! I actually can't wait to go back and try some more options!

I'll start by saying this place as phenomenal customer service and the staff was very kind to us. On top of this, the food was extremely good and there was tons of variety in terms of what you could pick. I'd recommend getting the sampler for the appetizer so you could try mix of things, but special tip, if you don't like a specific aspect of the sampler, they can replace it with something else. As far as food goes, the drunken noodles were phenomenal and really had a good mix of spice and flavor. I also got the wok-fried rice with bamboo chilli and I'll say it had such rich flavor. If you're a fan of Thai tea, this is also your place to get it since they have their own special ways of sealing your cup just for that. If you're in town and looking for some really good food to eat, I think this should be one of the top places on your list

My sister and I ate here for the first time today and were BLOWN AWAY! The food was some of the best Asian food we’ve ever had and the portions were huge. We got all of this food (plus soup) as the Lunch Box Special. Service was great and food came out quick. Highly recommend this place to everyone and we will definitely be coming back! I cannot take credit for finding this gem off the highway. We met a friend and my taste buds were pleasantly pleased. I honestly tasted the LOVE! It was authentic unlike many Charlotte Thai restaurants. Nita was amazing at providing suggestions and explaining dishes. With her help be open to trying something different or familiar.

This Thai spot located in the heart of China Grove has to be one of the best Thai restaurants me and my partner have been to.

The crab wantons and the spring rolls are made fresh in house and you can definitely tell. 🤤 We also got that Pad Thai and split it and it was equally just as delicious.

The customer service is also a worthy mention because I felt so welcomed and appreciated. 12/10 🌟

I guess there is a first time for everything and this is the first time I had BAD Thai food. I had Thai basil. And I ordered Thai basil undon for a friend. Food was hot but it didn’t taste like Anything Thai at all. It tasted like generic Chinese food. I ordered from Uber eats so I ended up wasting my money.
***Update***I got bad stomach cramps 2 hours after eating just a few spoonfuls of this. I’m glad I threw the rest out. And I told my friend about it so he didn’t eat his order.

I have grown up eating Thai food... this is the best and most authentic Thai restaurant I have ever been to. From taste, to plating, to service, Thai Tair nails it every time. If you are adventurous, try the Kua Kling. It is my comfort food. Spicy with huge lemongrass taste! Must try restaurant, even if you've never had Thai food before.

Would be really great if they updated their hours to the actual times they will be open. Second day in a row during the weekend we’ve attempted to eat here and they haven’t been open yet their posted hours say they are.

When we arrived we found the restaurant closed. Please update your hours! I was very sad to see you we’re closed. My husband was happy to eat hotdogs down the street at Brian’s Grill 😂

It's very difficult, in my opinion, to find a good Thai restaurant. This one is excellent. The gyoza and Pad Thai were some of the best I've ever had. I'll definitely be back.

At last, authentic Thai food! From the first bite, I was in love. My brother in law is from Thailand, so he has trained me to recognize the difference between great Thai food and the average stuff. When I say I love this restaurant, I mean the flavor, the presentation, the service, EVERYTHING was immaculate and excellent. Truly a taste of Thailand that will nourish your soul.
My entree blew me away, and my jaw dropped when they came out with our dessert. My expectations were totally exceeded! If you have the opportunity, you MUST give this family-run restaurant a visit! Twenty stars out of ten!

We’ve ordered multiple times through Toast for carry-out and every time I am so pleased with how quickly it’s ready. Makes a last minute dinner so easy. Tons of options to choose from, and we appreciate that! My only complaint is the white rice. I wish it were a bit softer.

Hidden Gem!!! We were pleasantly surprised.. from the moment we walked in the front door, it was like we were teleported to Thailand. The food is super authentic and just down right delicious. The service was outstanding. We have found a new local spot. We pray for their business to thrive and continue cause WE will definitely be back!!! And shout out to Sam (the greatest basketball player of HCO) who took care of us the entire time! Great great experience.

I decided last minute to order lunch for carry out. The lady that answered the phone was pleasant and she advised me that my meal will be ready in 15 minutes. The time frame was not an issue, however, I did show up earlier than the 15 minutes and my food was ready. The establishment was very nice and when I ate my meal, and again this is my first time eating here, my lunch was absolutely delicious! I did get the ginger shrimp and spring rolls. Yes, I ate all 4 spring rolls.

This hidden gem really lives up to its name when it comes to not only preserving the authenticity of Thai cuisine but also transforming it to the next level. We cannot wait to come back here whenever traveling to the Charlotte area. ❤️🇹🇭

I have been eating Thai food for decades and this may be the best I’ve ever had. Thai Tair’s curries and soups are phenomenal. The street food is so good and packed with unique flavors. We order from DoorDash and it’s pricier but the food is worth it. We’ve never had a problem with an order and delivery is fast.

Pad Thia is so yummy. Just be careful how hot you get it cause it gets super spicy lol.

Located along main street near a lot of other spots within walking distance, the outside of this place is very deceiving - not much to look at and very basic. BUT inside, the place is super clean, welcoming, the staff is always very friendly and attentive.

The food OMG! Soooooo good. The menu is pretty big, lots of options. I’ve tried numerous dishes between dine-in and take-out and have NEVER been disappointed. Food always comes out well cooked, hot and tastes fresh.

This place is an absolute gem and I’m always shocked it isn’t packed every single day.

Good had great taste but I found several bugs in the red curry. I am assuming they are nats. I had the order door dashed to my house, all of the food containers were sealed properly so it definitely came from inside the kitchen at the restaurant.

Pricey for the portion size, might give it another shot however.

I love Thai food, but this was not a good first impression. Spring rolls were greasey and I would not order the crispy noodle pad t. again with crispy pork belly. Overall too expensive for what I received. I'll give them one more chance...

I am so happy this family opened up this restaurant in China grove!! The Thai basil fried rice is sooo delicious and you can’t really go wrong with any protein you choose, it’s delicious by itself as well. Everything I have tried on the menu has been delicious and I’m excited to keep trying new things. They are talented cooks who care about every inch of the menu.

Today was our first time and it was DELICIOUS!!! It was recommended by a friend and they didn't disappoint! The food was SOOO MAZING!!! We had 3 different dishes and they were equally as delicious and authentic! The hot Jazmine tea was SOOOO GOOD also!!! We found our new regular place to eat! Felt so good after our meal! Quite full without that bloated feeling. Tasted so clean and delicious!!!!

Our friend recommended this place. We enjoyed our lunch, and we will surely keep coming back. Our new favorite Thai restaurant 😋

Real deal! I lived near Korat Thailand for 16 years. The service was swift and courteous. Order the Pad Mee Korat with shrimp, lunch portion. It was legit, generous, and perfectly delicious! Afterward we had mangoes and sticky rice. Oh my goodness! It was so delicious! The environment was modern Thai, with Thai cooking on one screen and easy to listen to Thai music on the other. The owners and staff are really sweet people! This place is a winner!

Best Thai food in the greater Charlotte area! This place is authentic and the food is delicious. I had the choo chee curry, which was a new curry flavor for me. I highly recommend it if you like a flavorful curry. My husband ordered yum woon sen, a very authentic spicy noodle salad and he loved it. We will definitely be back to try more dishes!

The Food:

Hands down the best and most authentic Thai food my wife and friends and I have had in a very long time. We are extremely critical about authentic Asian food and these guys are giving you a real taste of their homeland. The atmosphere is cozy and they have television on the wall showing video of how things work in Thailand; you can watch chefs prepare dishes and see a little glimpse into their lives, and it's amazing to watch the street food vendors in action. You are seeing masters who have honed their skills for years and decades which produces the incredible speeds at which they work. You can try literally anything on this menu and it will be so incredible. There is not one item we dislike and we have tried a large selection of dishes already, but their menu is huge!

Ordering Process:

You need to have the ability to scan a QR code with your phone when you are seated. It will track your table and link with Toast where you will pay. You can browse the menu on your phone and you will be waited on. Show them what it is you want to order, and as they take your order they will enter it into their system, and your phone will update with what you have ordered and the cost, and you can then click on it to pay, etc. Just be patient when you are seated and don't be too confused, you simply browse the menu on your phone at first and show them what you want when they come to take your order. There were some incredibly rude customers and I don't blame Thai Tair at all, but the customers were so mean to the waiter and staff and could not even be patient enough for one minute to get waited on simply because they didn't understand the ordering process, the language barriers, and technology used to help with that. This is a different culture and process that the rest of the world is using, please be open minded and realize that you are coming to experience what they have to offer, they are not there to accommodate and Americanize everything just for you, it's an authentic Thai experience and everyone should realize how lucky they are to have this food available in China Grove, of all places.

We had this delivered, and it was the best Thai we've found around. I'm from up north, and I was really missing good Thai. It is my new go-to place.

They treated us to a favorite dessert when they found out we lived in the city they are from in Thailand. If you are looking for real Thai flavor this is your place.

I was excited to try this, but then was very disappointed. The food was meh (noodles), okay (satay), or good (tofu) depending on dish. The overall meal was disappointing and far less food than we expected for the price.

Walked in, immediately got sat down and brought ice water to our table. We got the fresh spring rolls for our appetizer, drunken noodles with chicken and chicken pad Thai, everything was delicious and extremely fresh & authentic! Perfect amount of spice in each dish, We will definitely be back!

Got Yellow Curry, house salad and fresh rolls to share with my girlfriend. Everything was as good or better than any that I have ever had. The yellow curry was especially fantastic.

This place has a new name and a new owner and they have redone the decor. It's not the overly decorated place it used to be. Renovation and more modern. It's lost s little of the old ambiance. There is a TV up and you can see life as it is over in their homeland and street vendors. You get to see a little of their life you wouldn't see elsewhere

Now let's get to the food. It was awesome! I started with a coconut soup with shrimp and I should have just had that. It was exactly what I wanted. But instead of my usual chicken pad Thai I got something I could pronounce and it was one of their spiciest dishes and it was very spicy if you like that. I have been craving spicy food and this was some of the best I've had. I took a takeout menu home. I'm definitely eating her again. You can really tell the quality of food over those Chinese buffet.

We had Pad Thai and Pineapple Fried Rice. Both were excellent! We will definitely be back
