The disclosure of hundreds-year recipe from royal Thai consort
Upon entering the restaurant, you can see how beautiful the decor is and it transport you to Thailand royalty times!
Each dish is plated with meticulous attention to detail, featuring vibrant colors and textures that promise an explosion of flavors.
The soft shell crab dish paired with a rich, creamy curry sauce was the star of the meal. The delicate balance of spice, creaminess, and fragrant herbs creates a symphony of taste. The freshness of the ingredients is evident, especially in the seafood, which is cooked to perfection--tender, flavorful, and complemented by aromatic seasonings.
The duck in tamarind sauce is sooooo good! Sweet and savory! Make sure you get the rice to pair with all the entrees. All the food was 10/10.
Overall, this meal is a harmonious blend of creativity, taste, and tradition. It's the kind of dining experience that lingers in your memory, leaving you eagerly planning your next visit. Highly recommended for food lovers and culinary enthusiasts!
Kaew Jao Jorm is a hidden gem where every dish is a masterpiece—beautifully presented, expertly crafted, and packed with bold, authentic flavors. The warm, elegant atmosphere, combined with attentive service, makes for an unforgettable dining experience. If you love Thai cuisine, this place is a must-visit!
The ambience of this restaurant is amazing. Perfect for an intimate or romantic dinner. The decor is tasteful and warm. In addition to all that the food is immaculate and delicious. The dumplings we had were an excellent slightly sweet and savory start. The prawn salad has HUGE DELICIOUS PRAWN HEADS which is a must! The entrees were excellent with a perfect mild spice. I love mega spicy dishes but the food is so delicious I don’t even care. Lastly, the royal coconut ice cream dessert was the perfect finisher. I wish I had another one and didn’t have the share the one I ate 😂
The service is wonderful also. They checked in regularly, constantly kept our glasses full of water and made sure we had as much rice as we wanted.
Found this gem near my apartment, it’s not a big space but very cozy. The service was amazing, staff were attentive, and frequently came by to give us rice and water. The food was delicious, dishes are definitely on the pricier end but the portions are well sized. Highly recommend and would come back again!
One of the best Thai restaurants i have ever been. It was a total vibe. The atmosphere was so cozy, and the service was top-notch. Especially Royal Pad Thai, Crab Curry and Salted egs with Five Spiced Pork I ordered- they were delicious. The flavors were bold and perfectly balanced, and the portion size was more than generous. I'd highly recommend this spot to any fellow Thai food lovers out there. Plus, the prices were reasonable, which is always a plus. Overall, a solid dining experience. Can't wait to go back again. Definitely, worth booking in advance and trying!
Super pretty little restaurant with tasty royal Thai food. I really loved the pomelo salad and the Tom yum fried rice. Full of flavor and good portion sizes. The Thai flower dumplings were pretty but lacking in texture and flavor, this I thought most not worth getting. The Penang beef curry had good flavor but some pieces of beef were too chewy, this dish would’ve been great had they used braised beef instead of slices. Steam squid was tender but needed a little more salt. And we really loved the chewiness of the dessert gnocchi.
This was such a great experience! We loved the atmosphere of the place, it’s very authentic and cozy! The food was delicious, it felt like I never had good Thai food before and this was totally the best! Amazing service, not every place has it, but here we felt welcomed, thank you Kat! Will definitely be back!
I can't recommend this restaurant enough! It's truly a top restaurant, offering the best Thai food in the city. The service is friendly and attentive, and the ambiance is perfect for any occasion. A must-visit for anyone who loves delicious, authentic Thai food.
If you're looking for a top restaurant with authentic Thai cuisine, this place is a must-visit! The best food in town, with flavors that transport you straight to Thailand. The service is impeccable, and the ambiance is simply fantastic. A true gem for Thai food lovers.
I wish I could give a 5 star rating because the food and service once we were seated was amazing. However, the seating/reservation schedule tonight was one of the most poorly managed and communicated schedules I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant. We had to wait for almost an hour after the reservation time before we were seated. There was no explanation for the delay, and the manager kept insisting it would only take 10/15 more minutes each time we asked. There was no apology or compensation for the delay.
I imagine reservations can be challenging to manage, but the staff could’ve at least given an explanation and more realistic estimate of the delay.
Update, dropping the rating another star because the management has doubled down on the rudeness and are calling guests uncivilized even though the same problem was called out by multiple parties.
Absolutely insane it was sooo good
I am so happy that I found this place! Exceptional Thai food that tasted very authentic. They did a great job decorating and had excellent service. Wishing them luck and will definitely be back!
太好吃了md太好吃了!
好吃!
Food was good.
However, they took our reservation and when we called ahead of time to make sure it was all good since it was for a birthday dinner they said yes.
We showed up and they told us they need 15 minutes, we waited 15 minutes, and then they asked for another 15. It was freezing outside. So our party asked if there was anyway we can wait elsewhere.
They put us in the hallway of their bathroom which was just as cold? As outside.
Fine, it happens- but when it’s been 45 minutes one of our party said hey it’s been nearly an hour and we’re still waiting. The waitstaff unfortunately corrected him and said no it’s only been 45. Factual but upsetting as paying customers.
We put our order in as we were waiting so when it came out it was hot fresh and delicious. But we were put next to the open facing window where other waiting reservations were non stop glaring at us in the cold in anticipation for their own reservation. Uncomfortable situation to be in as we blow our birthday candles.
TLDR: if you have a party larger than 2 dont count on it. But food is good.
Amazing food, service and atmosphere. Will be definitely coming back very soon
Absolutely delicious food, unique Thai menu, lovely atmosphere attentive wait staff
Good food and atmosphere, but has real operational issues that they need to fix. We weren’t seated until 30min past our reservation, and this seemed to be happening left and right, as patrons were stood packed like sardines in the small restaurant, waiting for a table that should be available.
This would still be acceptable if they acknowledged and apologized for the snafu, but they just glossed over it, and still boldly asked for a good review on google at the end of the meal.
We had an 8pm reservation. We waited outside in the winter for 40 minutes past our reservation time, and then decided to leave.
Unfortunately, we made a reservation but had to wait almost an hour to be seated, and the restaurant didn’t do anything to make amends. However, the food was actually very good.
Gorgeous new Thai spot in east Williamsburg! My friends and I felt as through we were transported to the White Lotus with the restaurant’s lush interior decorations. The food was incredible, especially with pomelo citrus salad and crab curry. I will be frequenting this newly opened spot! Thanks Kaew!
Pad see ew changed my life
The best Thai restaurant in NY. The pomelo salad, shrimp cakes, soft shell crab curry, larb pla 10/10
I forgot to take photos of the food, but suffice it to say that I think I have a new favorite Thai spot. Food was flavorful with the right amount of spice. Book early though as the place is on the smaller size inside, but it’ll be worth it, trust me.
Kaew Jao Jorm is a cozy little spot that feels like you’re eating in a family dining room. We got the flower dumplings, the lemongrass chicken skewers, the tamarind duck breast, and the crab fried rice. Portions were sizable and each dish was so flavorful. I will definitely be back!
Amazing!!! Highly recommend
The crab curry was the star but the duck with tamarind sauce was also amazing. Service was great too (Max is awesome). I can’t wait to come again to try more items!
Great place for thai food!
Food was so good, would definitely recommend the soft shell crab curry
Had an amazing experience for lunch today. The Royal dumplings and the Panang curry were delicious. Service was also very attentive. Will be back soon!
Just stepping into the restaurant was already a wonderful experience, especially with the stunning decor and ambiance! We tried the Goong Sa Rong, Chor Muang, Gaeng Poo, and Muk Neung Ma Now, and we absolutely loved how flavorful everything was. We especially liked the Gaeng Poo, as we’ve never tried a curry made from crab meat. The Chor Muang was also some of the best we have ever tasted! The drinks were also absolutely stunning! On top of everything, the service was fast, and the waiters were very accommodating. Will definitely be coming back in the future for lunch or just a date night!
I had a great time! The vibe and ambiance is incredible. They play jazz and the food and drinks are delicious. I had a lemongrass juice and that iced tea, my friend had Thai iced tea lemonade. The pomelo salad was SO GOOOD. We also shared the shrimp wrapped in fried noodles, shrimp and pork paste w corn dumplings, shrimp donuts (?), and peanut dumplings. We also shared the link crab and soft shell crab curry and coconut Thai gnocchi for desert. Will be back!
Delicious! A bit pricey but I think they make it worth it with the beautiful presentation & attentive service. Also wonderfully decorated.
The perfect place for a date. Intimate atmosphere, attentive staff, and amazing food. Some great menu options you wont see at other Thai restaurants.
The food was spectacular. The Gaeng pool was absolutely delicious and the pia lui suan was the best thing I ever tasted. Also you must try the Thai tea lemonade very refreshing. Also for your appetizer please try tod mun goong absolutely amazing
yummy yummy
The duck was so good 🦆❤️
Best place. Highly recommend, amazing decor. So sweet and small, can’t wait to come back again- the crab fried rice is to die for!!
Talk about the full package! This place had it all great ambiance, friendly staff, and absolutely delicious food. As a big seafood lover, I was impressed by how fresh everything was. I had the crab cakes and prawns, and every bite was chef’s kiss. I’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for authentic, fresh Thai cuisine!
This is the most authentic Thai food I have had and has the best service you can ask for. The place is very comfy, the food is amazing, and the atmosphere is off the chain.
Crab starter was the best! Duck was great too. Really cute inside and super nice servers
Very authentic and delicious food. We ordered the Pok-Tak Talay and mango ice cream sticky rice.
Only reason I rate it 4 stars is because there are no vegetarian/vegan options. Every dish has animal protein except a salad.

Its an incredible meal. Standouts were the pomelo salad, the crab curry, and the duck breast. Even the rice is on another level of deliciousness. I can’t imagine going wrong with any dish here.
This is the best and most beautiful food I’ve ever had in my entire life. I would give it 6 stars if I could. Impeccable everything. The crab curry was mind blowing. I was having an out of body experience eating the duck. It feels like you’re eating in a royal lounge. Bye.
A sweet little restaurant in Williamsburg with a charming environment, lovely staff and excellent food! My favorites were the Crab meat fried rice, Tod mun goong and Geang poo. The crab curry has a wonderful depth of flavor and the mango ice scream with sticky rice was delightful.
This was such a cute spot! It was hidden but all of the food was amazing and the presentation of each dish was fantastic! Thank you!
Delicious ❤️🔥 royal flower dumplings, pork belly curry, tom yum prawn soup and turmeric tea!
This was such a great experience! We loved the atmosphere of the place, it’s very authentic and cozy! The food was delicious, it felt like I never had good Thai food before and this was totally the best! Amazing service, not every place has it, but here we felt welcomed, thank you Kat! Will definitely be back!
We have been looking for clear Tom Yum broth for a long time, and Poh Tak Talay was exactly what we wanted; Hearty and tasty.
Food is excellent, and the service is warm and attentive. The interior of the restaurant reminds me of the phrase - “romancing the ordinary” - fresh flowers on every table and the bathroom; the napkins are folded like petals in a bowl! Charming!
We will be back again!
Not only was the food super flavorful, it’s a work of art. The purple chicken dumplings crowned with a fresh bloom and a leaf of cilantro were both crunchy and smooth- and the purple gnocchi swimming in sweet coconut milk was the cherry on top of a wonderful evening.
Food is delicious. Places is cozy. Recommended.
Excellently prepared, super flavorful
Thai it is always in the bottom of my preferred places to eat… but this place was just so perfect.
Very lovely
Pomelo salad very good
Highly recommended! Great food and service
This place felt like we discovered a hidden gem! The dishes we tried were rich and unique, the presentation was stunning, and the decor felt so cozy with its beautiful paintings and drapery. The Chor Muang (royal flower dumplings) and Thai Mackerel were absolute standouts. A must-visit for anyone looking for an authentic and elevated Thai dining experience!
Everything was so delicious! My favorite was the duck and the gnocchi/coconut cream dessert!
The ambiance was intimate and relaxing. The music choice also adds the the atmosphere. We will definitely be back soon!
The food, service, and ambiance was excellent. I highly recommend!

One of the greatest thai restaurants I’ve been in Brooklyn
Amazing food, wish there were more vegetarian options.
Incredible ambience and delicious food!!!
Kaew Jao Jorm was amazing! These guys have created an amazing environment that teleports you to Thailand. The staff are so kind and attentive, amazed this place has only been here 4 months. You have to try the chor muang (really unique/delicious dumplings), the yum som (pomelo salad) and the gaeng poo. Will 100% be back soon.
The green curry and pork salad are very delicious. The ingredients are fresh, just like they came from Thailand.
Found this gem near my apartment, it’s not a big space but very cozy. The service was amazing, staff were attentive, and frequently came by to give us rice and water. Amazing Thai food with great vibes. Do not miss out on this place.
I’ll be back. Excellent
I absolutely loved my experience at Kaew Jao Jorm in Williamsburg. The cozy, intimate setting was perfect, and the royal-style Thai dishes were unlike anything I’ve had before—rich, authentic, and bursting with flavor. Every bite felt like a trip to Thailand. It’s the kind of place you go to savor every moment, whether for a quiet night or a special foodie outing.
Great place for thai food! And it s byob so you can pair your food with the wine of your choice.
Kudos to the service, really enjoy our evening.
Incredible food, vibe, and service!
Such a vibe- this place is an absolute gem. Food was next level, music and atmosphere so unique and gorgeous. Will definitely be back!
This Might Actually Be the Best Thai Spot in Brooklyn! 🍜🔥
I’ve tried just about every Thai restaurant near the Graham/Grand stops, and let’s just say... I’ve been underwhelmed—until now. This place? Total game-changer.
The vibe is warm and unassuming, but the food? Next level. They’re serving up thoughtful takes on Thai classics with incredibly fresh ingredients and deep, comforting flavors. Every dish feels like a special family recipe, but with the finesse of a top-tier chef.
Here are a few of my favorites so far:
✨ Chor Muang (Royal Flower Dumplings) – Almost too pretty to eat. Almost.
🔥 Pad Kee Mao Seafood – Tender noodles, a killer spice mix, and plump, juicy seafood—they don’t skimp!
🥜 Panang Neua – A rich, peanutty delight that’s flavorful without being too heavy.
No exaggeration—this might just be the best Thai food in North Brooklyn. If you love Thai food, do yourself a favor and check it out. You can thank me later. 😉👏
Here, not only is the food delicious, but the service is also very impressive. The staff are cheerful and helpful.
Cute spot, elevated Thai, would recommend.
I just discovered this restaurant and l'm so happy for that!
Every detail has been thoughtfully curated, creating an incredible atmosphere and energy. The food is absolutely spectacular. We trusted the staff’s recommendations (who, by the way, are exceptionally kind and always smiling), and they couldn’t have been more spot on. It’s evident that every dish is prepared with care and attention to detail, which is reflected in the flavors.
As starters, we had the Chor Muang and Tod Mun Goong—both were fantastic. For the main courses, I highly recommend the Massaman Neua, which I absolutely fell in love with, and the Pad See Ew, which was simply perfect.
Looking forward to coming back soon!
Amazing find right off the Grand L! Found out this place opened up just 3 months ago through conversation with the lovely owner. Really exceptional quality and thoughtfulness in the menu, some of the best Thai I've had in NYC. Food is absolutely delicious. Service was wonderful and attentive, and it is such a cute and well decorated space. It's clear it's run with a lot of love. Didn't take more photos because we were so focused on the meal (we had shrimp cakes w plum sauce, seafood pad kea mao, and the softshell crab curry). Can't wait to come again!
great food great vibes!
The flavors of their food was on point. Their glassware was so cute. Loved that they were BYOB. Their white rice was amazing and we were able to get refills on the rice
Intricate flavors with fresh ingredients! It is apparent that everything is very well thought out with great attention to detail.
Napkins are beautifully presented and smells really nice!! The food is delicious and flavorful.
Would def return!!
The tableware was very nice. The attention to detail was outstanding. Will be back for more because I’m a lil full!
The most incredible thai ever!
delish
Just go. You will not regret it. Service, food, and vibes are top notch.
Beautiful food and equally beautiful ambiance
Great experience. Food was great and service was exceptional.
Food, decor, and the service was all incredible!!!
Nestled in the vibrant heart of Williamsburg, Kaew Jao Jorm brings an authentic slice of Thailand right to New York City. This incredible restaurant isn't just a dining spot - it's a transporting experience where every detail, from the imported Thai decor to the mind-blowing dishes, tells a story of genuine culinary passion! They have the excellent taste and service, I definitely will come back 💕🙏
Perfect flavors everything!!
Food is AMAZING SERVICE IS EVEN BETTER.
Wow, I'm so grateful this Thai restaurant is steps away from the L train, because it was a super easy ride from Manhattan and its some of the best Thai food I've had recently. About 4 months old, with royal dishes from central Thailand, everything we had was incredibly herbaceous and flavorful. Unique dishes I've maybe seen only once before, and executed seamlessly, with just the right amount of authentic balanced heat. We LOVED the pomelo salad, the pulp texture was perfect. The river shrimp appetizer is served over crumbled crunchy fish skin with a lemongrass, makrut lime herb topping. The signature pork belly red curry was phenomenal, the seafood drunken noodles perfect with char smoky wok hei, and the crab omelette was filled with lump crab meat. End with the "gnocchi" (more like mochi balls) in coconut milk with coconut meat. A very cozy gem of a restaurant and worth the trip!! Even the plateware was adorable!
Bomb food, cute atmosphere. Good stuff
Amaaaaaaazing food!
Amazing food, and such kind hospitality! My friends and I had the best meal here!
Amazing food, crab curry and massaman were delicious. Great service. Cozy intimate space.
An amazing hidden gem. Highly recommended this place. Everything was perfectly balanced, flavourful and beautifully plated.
Kaew Jao Jorm, named after King Rama V’s favorite flower, is located on Grand Street in East Williamsburg. Here you can experience 19th century recipes from the royal consort of King Rama V’s palace. Start off with some refreshing drinks to ready your palate for authentic Thai dishes. Must try their Chor Muang, a delicious homemade purple dumpling, and Yum Sum O, a pomelo salad that’s refreshing and tasty. Their soft shell crab and crab meat curry has the perfect spices and aroma, perfect to go with fresh steamed rice. We also enjoyed a Thai-styled spicy bouillabaisse. Save room for dessert as well! Staffs here provide impeccable hospitality and makes you feel like home.
Open for just three months and some of the best Thai I’ve had in a while. I hope they remain consistent as I’ll be back
Great little Thai spot. Food was really really good and vibes are cozy.
Such a cute restaurant! This is a great place if you’re looking for a chill vibe and comforting food
Came here on a Thursday night on a whim with a friend and left so full! We started with the Miang Ka Na, the shrimp toast and had the Massaman Beef. Everything was delicious and fresh. The decor and music is also great here and would be perfect for a date night or with a group of friends. Will definitely be coming back.
Absolutely amazing Thai food spot in Brooklyn! This cozy spot serves some of the best Thai dishes. I personally love the crab curry (Gaeng Poo). It is so flavorful and they put so much crab meet in it. The duck in red curry (Gaeng Ped Phed Yang) is also so tender and flavorful! The appetizers we tried are royal flower dumpling (chor muang) and jumbo shrimp wrapped in crispy noodle (goong sa rong). Very unique appetizers and amazing presentation. Thai Iced Tea and Thai Iced Hibiscus Juice are perfect with the dishes. Lastly we tried the Royal Thai coconut ice cream, which is a great way to end the meal. Service is amazing and staff is friendly! The space is so cute and so well decorated! Would recommend this place!
The food is very delicious and seems to be made with great care. The green curry here has a very well-balanced flavor.
