This is the best tasting Thai food I've had in a long time. The chicken and vegetables in the Green Curry were fresh and tasty. The curry itself was perfectly balanced and not too spicy or too mild. The Sticky Rice with Mango was delicious. Fresh sweet mango and purple sticky rice. Everything was packed with care. The Thai Iced Tea was also delicious.
To me, Thai food is like Chinese takeout. There are restaurants everywhere, but it's difficult to find a place that does it exceptionally well. On a night when my husband and I found ourselves craving some Thai food, we took a chance on the Yelp algorithm of suggestions and landed at the Thai Shack's door.
The weekday lunch special is a great deal. A light salad and spring roll are served with some preselected entrees, and it's here I have to give the peanut dressing some hearty props. I don't know what they put in that sauce, but it was all I could do to keep myself from licking that little bowl clean. For our entrees, we both went with noodles. I was initially disappointed that the serving size seemed smaller than expected, but don't let the plate fool you - it's enough. At least, it was for me because I felt full well before I reached the bottom. My beef pad see ew was incredible, with tender pieces of beef and a delectable sauce that made me want to spoon it over rice. My husband also liked his pad thai, with lots of soft chicken pieces. If we had any compunctions with our meal, it was that our noodles were a little heavily sauced and teetering just slightly on the salty side.
Service here is friendly. That, along with the cozily dressed interior, makes dining in a pleasure. I was especially appreciative that water glasses are filled from water bottles instead of tap (say what you want about food in Jersey, but the taste of its unfiltered tap water is absolute trash). The kind woman who took our order was open to small customizations (such as undressed salad and added spice in my pad see ew, which is normally presented as a non-spicy dish).
I ordered for a pick up their pad kee mao also known as “drunken noodles” which was delicious and definitely one of the best I’ve had. The woman who assisted me on the phone and for pick up was nice and gave great customer service. I also liked their chili sauce which was a tad bit different from other places but still delicious. It seems like the chili sauce was home made compared to other Thai restaurants I’ve been to.
We came in late before closing, which I don’t recommend as it’s rude, but we were treated very kindly and the staff was so hospitable. The food came out hot and tasted so good. Portions were great. 10/10 will be back
Small Thai take out, not much seating. Every time I order take out, they do not provide utensils or napkins. Just a box of food. Today, lady at the front rudely pointed to the bag and told me to get my order. Please work on your service and include utensils or at least some napkins with take out orders…
Update to review below: A friend ordered takeout and the two main dishes had sufficiently sized portions; dumplings and soup still the same. Reversing my stance and will go there because it is convenient for me.
Just got takeout and spent over $30 for dumplings, soup and Pad Thai. I usually get 2 dinners and 1 lunch from an order like this. The dumplings were smaller in size and quantity from the last time I ordered. The soup portion was also smaller than anticipated for the price. The Pad Thai was okay and the portion was okay. I think the prices were a little high. Now I read that the ownership had changed. This place is conveniently located but will probably drive to Hackensack in the future.
Love their lunch specials! Such a great deal. Food is always delicious too!

My favorite Thai place in the area. The pineapple fried rice with crispy duck is my go to.
Ordered a larger Tom yum, and literally only found 2 shrimps in there. I made sure to ask if this was a shareable appetizer and they assured me it was☹️
The pad Thai: 10/10
Beef noodle soup: 10/10
Thai iced tea: 10/10
Can’t wait to try more from da menu!!!

Decent friendly and courteous
Great local thai spot. The crispy pork belly app & steamed thai dumplings are 👍👍👍
Get the drunken noodles with beef and thank me later!
Update: sadly it’s under new ownership and the quality is not the same. Lack of veggies in the dish, barely any heat, different noodles, different beef. No hit of that Thai basil of old.
Ever since the ownership change this place has went downhill!!! Food is less flavorful, less meat, and overpriced. They didn't even add scallions or peanuts to my pad thai! This use to be my favorite pad thai place.
Some of the best fried rice I've had since moving to New Jersey. Staff is very accommodating as well. They stayed open past their closing time for me to wait for my uber eats driver to pick up my food when he was running late.
The food was sub-par, luke warm and a bit bland. Their peanut sauce was good. I was unoriginal with my one order - veggie pad thai with a side of tofu and the spring roll appetizer. Pretty much a staple for thai places. The spring rolls were on the colder side and pretty bland. The sauce was ok. The pad thai had two types of noodles in it a thin flat noodle and an angel hair noodle. Their veggies are frozen and then thawed for dishes so you get soggy, overcooked broccoli, carrots and green beans if you chose veggies in lieu of meat. And the tofu was full on cold. The only thing that saved the meal was the delicious peanut sauce which I asked for as a side and poured on the tofu and pad thai. It made it delicious.
Nice people and delicious foods~
Best Thai food in the area!!
Used to be my Girlfriend and I's favorite restaurant but they recently changed owners and the food is noticeably worse. It's by no means bad but if you had been here previously you'll be disappointed.
I hate to leave a mediocre rating for what used to be my favorite Thai place in the area. Unfortunately, they changed ownership and their dishes taste different now. The staff was super friendly when I ordered but the food doesn't hit the same 😭
Food was delicious...have been looking for a local Thai place for a while. We will definitely come back again soon.
2 stars. Not 3. Thai Shack used to be my go to Thai take out. Until today. I ordered my usual and found that they changed owners. The food is now too westernized. It is tasteless. The Thai flavors are missing. They even include a container of red hot sauce and packet of soy sauce. Not Thai at all. It's like Chinese take out. They also use cheaper ingredients. Prices same or marginally more. Very disappointed that there is now no more decent Thai food in the area without driving 30 min.
One of the best Thai takeouts in Teaneck. Super excited I came across this gem. Enjoy the pad Thai, drunken noodles w beef, Panang curry w tofu & broccoli, red curry w chicken
The food here is so good! I don't even have pictures because I'm too busy eating. It's take out only. The lunch specials come with fresh salad and spring rolls. Great portions.
I ordered for the first time and I was very impressed! Excellent Customer Service, Reasonable Prices, Generous Portion size, Quality Ingredients, Clean, and Friendly!!! I will definitely recommend to others and be a repeat customer! I am very picky when it comes to restaurants/quality food and this place is top notch!!! Thank you 🙏🏻

Food is excellent and incredibly nice staff. Highly recommend this place.
The pad tie , the duck pin and their ice tea are sooo good
Have ordered a couple times through Uber eats. I tasted something funny in my food and now a couple of hours later
I am vomiting. Never ordering again
First time ordering and will definitely order again. Flavor of food was amazing with just enough chili heat. I ordered the drunken noodles with chicken and the puff pastry.
My second time ordering uber eats from them and both times the food was really good. I had the sautéed Thai chili and basil with chicken and rice.. sooo freaking good
One of our go-to Thai restaurants in the area!
This is a takeout only but the food is really good. I had the green curry and ate it all in one sitting.
We order lunch here often at work. Taste great and they are very friendly. Great place to try a Thai food!:)
The worst Thai food I’ve ever had. Pad Thai was grey looking with zero flavor. Basil fried rice was horrible. Very bland very bad.
I love this Thai restaurant!. The food is fresh and very yummy! I highly recommend it!
Best Thai place in town!!! Delicious Drunken Noodles, Pad Thai and Pad See Ew.
Great lunch specials
Take out only... Portions were smallish for the money. On a scale of 1-10, the food rated at 8-9
Drunken noodles 5 stars, pad Thai 3 stars. Fast, good price, large portions. Good option in Teaneck.
Delicious food. Lunch menu is great!
Simply Delicious!!!!
The best Thai food in Teaneck.
great food and portions
DELICIOUS FOOD!! This has become my go to Thai spot!! Everything we have ordered from here tasted authentically perfect! Even when I order delivery, the food comes piping hot. They even label everything so well, that we know who ordered what.
This Food is AMAZING I've never read any of the reviews and OMG what fresh and flavorful food is served each time. For my 1st experience with Thai food I can't be happier AND The Drunken Noodles ARE to die for
Just lovely! Clean, and VERY SAFE SET UP: you are masked, and at safe distance, and the staff working there are masked and wearing gloves: so you can call in your order, and when you come to pick it up there is a very efficient safe process of your payment, and there is Gel for the pen to sign your charged receipt. But ON TOP OF ALL THAT THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS, and I ordered on the premises, waited for their preperation of a deep fried flounder lunch special, with vegetables and choice of jasmine rice, or for 50cents extra, you can substitute black/ brown rice, with choice of a ginger sauce or Tamarind! and I really enjoyed their appetizer of 6 steamed Thai dumplings. We look forward to trying all their dishes, and found the personnel most gracious, friendly and Very efficient. So delightful to have this cuisine so close and accessible to our residence in Bogota. You can park in the FREE municipal lot, just behind the Cedar Lane stores, if you don't find curbside parking available.
Best Thai food around. Friendly service and definitely worth it. Take out only right now but the pad thai and drunken noodle are still top notch. The green curry is also very good. Price is also very reasonable.
Great food! This has become my favorite restaurant. The owner and staff is always very nice.
DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE, unless you want to waste a ton of time, be absolutely starving, and then have to order from somewhere else after waiting for over an hour. I placed an order with them at 8:00pm on Uber Eats. Delivery time was for 8:50pm. An employee even called me twice to clarify my order. At 9:25pm, after waiting nearly an hour and a half, they cancelled my order with no explanation.
Great food, Great service! What else is there to say?
They've done a great job making easy and safe service for pickup during Covid too!
i love this restaurant so much oh my god. before the quarantine my family would order from here at least every week to every other week bc we would just start craving the drunken noodles and Thai curry. the food always comes fresh and tastes amazing. the quality is great and delivery doesn't take more than 30 min max. they're really nice and I will continue to order from here :)
Best Thai in the area.
Really good drunken noodles and wings, will come back!
Took a risk and ordered drunken noodle / pad see ew via Uber eats. We got a winner here
I have ordered delivery multiple times via Uber Eats. Pretty good food in general. I ALWAYS order the crispy pork belly. Also crab fried rice has plenty of crab.
Best tasting Thai!
Wasn't impressed with any of the dishes that we had.
Great new restuarant. Tried their pad see ew and it was great !
Wow! The food is much better now with the new ownership/name!! My goodness!! Best Thai ever!!
Tasty food, generous portions, clean cozy restaurant, and great freindly service. Good spot for a quick bite eat in or take out.
Really good food! Tastes excellent
Cool place. Love the food. Definitely worth a try. I had the crispy pork and loved it. Tom Yum noodle excellent. Yum!!!
