Our waitress, Bonnie, was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the menu we didn't have to look at the menu. Soup... dinner... dessert... was flavour after flavour building upon each course. How did I not know about this place? Thai Terrace is definitely a place to keep coming back to.

Not a single bad thing to say about this place. The food is well made and delicious, the woman who I presume owns the place clearly works very hard and is incredibly kind. The green curry is some of the best I've had. Great for eating in or taking out.

My boyfriend has been sitting there in the restaurant for an hour and they say they’re “working on it.” Someone else waiting there has been there even longer. With many more Thai options as well as other cuisines, we don’t need to wait this long again, so we won’t be ordering here a second time.

Outstanding, every time! We love Thai Terrace because the food is always fresh, exceptionally good, eye catching, and the portions are generous. The prices are reasonable, considering the superb quality and taste. The Tom Yum soup is exceptionally good. The glass noodles with veggies is also a huge favorite with us. It’s scrumptious! The servers are always personable and available. We dine there often, and hope you will, too.

I will gladly admit that I am a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to Thai food. I almost always order Pad Thai. That might seem boring, but I like the dish and it's a good way to compare restaurants. Thai Terrace is one of the best I've had. The only complaint I have is that sometimes the spiciness is a little inconsistent. However, I'm willing to chalk that up to varying depending upon who's cooking on a given day. They have four levels of spiciness. I usually go with #2, medium. It's usually within my range of spice tolerance.

We also order typically a lot of appetizers. They have some really good ones. The pork dumplings are delicious. The chicken satay is incredibly tender. They also have one called Thai Shrimp Green Wrap that's really unique and tasty. It consists of shrimp, peanuts, coconut, sweet chili sauce, lime, scallions, ginger and red onions in a lettuce wrap. It seems like a lot of ingredients but they all combine incredibly well.

We occasionally try new local Thai restaurants as we discover them, but we always seem to wind up back at Thai Terrace. The atmosphere in the restaurant is quiet and peaceful; the owners and their staff are really friendly and the food never disappoints.

Got the lunch special today and what a great value! The lady up front is so sweet and they all work so hard here. The inside is a beautiful space also. I love the Drunken Noodles.

Update 2024: Every time food is amazing. Today I had Red Curry as takeout. Incredible flavor, texture and spice. Absolutely delicious.

Food taste is good
Portions have gotten ridiculously small. We frequent various thai places from south to central jersey and by far this place gives the least food at their price point.
Took 10m for someone to come take our order tonight and I had to flag someone down for that to happen.

This is the best restaurant in Washington Township!! I have ordered take out so many times over the years, and eaten in, bringing my own beer.

Everything is customizable! Spicy level and certain ingredients can be left out etc, but you must ask for what you want. The only things with gluten are the fried items.

The owner and her family run this place with family member chefs from Thailand so they really know what they are doing!! Along with the nice older manager lady and a few younger wait staff. If the front end manager lady is working, make sure you ask her any questions you have about regarding Thai food, and she'll help you!

For me, I love the Chicken Satay skewers, with gluten free peanut sauce! Also ❤️ Khao Kriab Pak Mo (traditional pork dumplings), Tom Kha coconut soup with tofu and veggies, Shrimp Summer Rolls, Som Tom Salad spicy level 2, the Nam Yur beef salad spicy level 2, everything Green urry, and even Pad Thai with tofu, spicy level 2.

Thai iced teas and Thai iced coffees have a unique delicious flavor that you can't find anywhere other than a thai restaurant. I think they use sweetened condensed milk. I recommend those if you did not bring your own alcohol.

Me and my boyfriend ordered takeout over the phone, and we asked for the price before hanging up. When we went to go pick up and pay in person we were charged a fair amount more because the "prices are subject to change"

The food was good but just make sure you're not overcharged bc we looked at the online menu prices AND asked and were still overcharged.

But for the folks who want to know, they are slow, rude, over priced for small Portions. You ask for water.. They give you a pitcher and not enough glasses. You ask for hot water... They give you a hot pot with no cups the can handle hot water...

Take a look at the owner responses BTW... Every negative review gets a nasty response from the owner.

First of all, we eat at Thai Terrace all the time with no issues. Today was a different story, 3 of us went there on our lunch break today and 2 of us had gift cards we got for Christmas, so we figured we will use them. After eating, we got the checks and the "manager" quickly stated that we can not use our gift cards for lunch time, only for dinner time.. we were really confused because I used half my gift card a month ago on lunch there with no issue. We stated that we wanted to talk to the owner because this "rule" was not listed anywhere on the gift card, website or advertised anywhere in the restaurant. The "manager" also stated that we didn't want to talk to the owner! We will not be returning to Thai Terrace. Please be aware of this restaurant.

The only negative thing is that the portion sizes have gotten smaller since I started going here. And the prices have either stayed the same or increased.

This was our second time here and it sadly will be our last. The first time we dined in we stated that we would be sharing a meal since we weren't too hungry and didn't want to waste food and our waiter told us there would be a percentage FEE in order for us to SHARE a meal. We ended up ordering two dishes to avoid the fee which was cheaper than having the fee charge.

This time however we ordered takeout. After placing our order over the phone, the lady did not tell us the total amount just what time it would be ready. My fiance went to pick up our of 3 dishes only to have to wait additional 10-15 mins after the pickup time because it was not ready, mind you there was absolutely no one in the restaurant. My fiance calls out because he didn't see any workers and the lady that took our order over the phone came out. She told him that for our three dishes, our total amount was $65!

My fiance was baffled, $65 for three dishes. I'm from California and have never paid that much for food out there! Anyways, he asks her why it's so expensive and she says, "Next time pay cash, there is a 10% fee when paying with card!"

Long story short - AVOID THIS PLACE unless you willingly choose to be scammed with additional fees and outrageously high food prices. You can get the same food with better prices and friendly customer service anywhere but here.

This is first time ordering but NOT the last. Pastry puffs and gyoza to start ,YUMMY. The panang curry is to die for . We chose chicken . While I want to try other dishes it, will be difficult as this was so good

We had a great dinner of takeout from Thai Terrace - the red curry was OUTSTANDING!!! The pad cee ew and pad Thai were quite good, and the spring rolls were delicious too. For dessert we got the banana rolls & they’re the closest to real banana lumpia we’ve found. We were disappointed with the pineapple rice & won’t get it again but the rest was fantastic.

Response regarding pineapple fried rice - it wasn't bad but wasn't anything special - the dish tasted like fried rice with some shrimp and a can of chunk pineapple added. We didn't feel it was worth the price.

Also we noticed that the online ordering prices for takeout seemed different from the regular menu.

Don't order takeout from them, for a tom yum soup you get a slice of tomato, three quarters of a mushroom and four shrimp for $20

I'm so happy with all the vegan options! For lunch, I had the Tom Yum soup, which was spicy and delicious! I also had the salad, and the ginger dressing was light and tasty. My entree was Thai Basil and I chose a heat level of 3. Very tasty, with lots of fresh vegetables and just enough heat. The mango and sticky rice dessert was the perfect finish to a wonderful meal. I've been here several times before, and the vegetable rolls were crispy and satisfying. I've had other menu items, and all were excellent. My only problem is deciding what to order, because there are so many vegan options. The restaurant is clean and very attractive, and the servers are friendly and helpful.

I haven't eaten in the restaurant, but I have ordered take out on two occasions. Both were awful experiences. The first time, i ordered chicken wings. When i got home, i saw the "wings" were overpriced, overbattered chicken bits. Tonight, I ordered a simple meal of drunken noodles and spring rolls. I called the order in at 6:15pm. I was told 20 mins it would be ready. I showed up at 6:55pm...food not ready. I was told it would be just 2 more minutes. 20 minutes later, I'm still waiting. For drunken noodles and spring rolls. I tell them I've got to go, and that I need a refund. No update or explanation was ever given, but the lack of communication and lack of consideration was a big turnoff. Won't be returning.

I grew up with Thai food, my grandmother even has a Thai restaurant as well, so I think I know authentic Thai food pretty well, and this is one of those places that serves it and it's amazing!

As of 3/29/23, I can no longer recommend Thai Terrence because of their dishonest and ill intended business practices towards loyal patrons. I came in for lunch and ordered several Thai Ice Teas which were listed for $3.25 as seen on the menu pictured below. When given the bill, an inaccurate and inflated amount of $4.00 per Ice Tea was presented to me. When I told the staff to correct their error they insisted I had to pay it! Because of time constraints and not wanting to hold the bill of the other person I was dining with hostage, I ended up just cutting my losses. Even after that they added a credit card surcharge to my bill without bothering to tell me! (Receipt pictured.) That experience was EXTREMELY shady and unprofessional. I understand inflation is hurting small businesses, but there is no excuse to actively scam your customers like this.

EDIT: The business has left a reply and they are not even denying this active scam. Make of that what you will.

Some of the most basic looking and tasting food. Tastes fine, but not even approaching worthy of the prices they charge for it. The only things worth the price is their soups and spring rolls, but honestly, you can get those anywhere. Every time we've ordered, we look at the basic food and ask, what did we spend all this money on? Can get better food for far less elsewhere.

While looking for adventure in non-traditional American fare, my wife and I discovered Thai Terrace.
Expecting modest decor, we found eye pleasing surroundings and comfortable seating.
Ample menu selections were highlighted by spice levels made to order and tasty portions that won't dissappoint. Our choices were chicken and seafood dishes. Coconut soup was a novel delight and the serice was exceptional.
Our next visit will be reserved for a special occasion.

We had a fabulous meal tonight at Thai Terrace! The staff was super attentive and friendly, the restaurant is clean and inviting. And the FOOD was phenomenal. We had tom kha soup with seafood, wonton soup, panang curry with duck, and spicy green curry fried rice with chicken. We can't wait to go back and try more dishes!

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE and RUDE Manager/Owner, we forgot his name but were sure he’s the owner. Make sure to read everything on the menu even the smallest ones underneath, they’re scammers! MARKET PRICE doesn’t indicate next to which food it’s supposed to be but it’s for EVERYTHING so don’t be surprised for their prices. We ordered a (on the menu prices) crab meat fried rice ($18) with add shrimps (+$5) BUT surprisingly charged for $30 plus $7 for the shrimp with no warnings when we were ordering about the HUGE DIFFERENCE. We tried to nicely asked our waitress why there’s a huge difference with the price and was told that it’s because the seafood was expensive and they need to change it (she was nice & apologized if it wasn’t communicated) BUT the guy owner, went to our table without us even asking and RUDELY said that HE CANNOT ALWAYS CHANGE THE PRICES ON THE MENU WHICH WE NEVER SAID/ASKED but suggested to at least let the customers know since it’s almost half the original price on the menu. Being an owner, instead of explaining it to your customers nicely, don’t be rude.. no wonder why your business is getting slower (yes, we’ve been here before and ended up going back to help because they mentioned that because of the pandemic, they can even barely afford the rent) BUT WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WE RECEIVED? No thank you and good luck to your business if you’re not changing your attitude and approaches to your customers.

A fabulous array of dishes from my favorite distant land flavors. Pad Thai was sweeter than most but delicious nonetheless. The Lovely lady shrimp appetizer stretched your desire for more and, forgive me for not knowing the original Thai, drunken noodles. Yum yum yum. All of this in your standard suburban shopping center. A really hidden treat. Also, if you like behind the restaurant scenes, this one does not disappoint. Plenty of time to do whatever while maybe taking a short spin on the stationary bike the pizza shop has left out back for any to use.

The best Pad Thai we’ve ever had! The flavors were perfectly balanced. Very clean and inviting atmosphere. Would highly recommend!

Very nice place, I was greeted by a staff member and she took my oder. She was very nice and made sure that they had the stuff I wanted to order. The food was delicious, the portion was a little small but the flavor made up for it. I will definitely come back and order more

This place is so delicious . My wife and I never had Thai food before . The owners were so nice . The food was an explosion of flavor . I recommend it to everyone . We will come back again. It's on my returns to eat list .

The best Tom Yum soup I've ever had. The female owner/hostess is the sweetest lady you will ever meet. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. The inside is beautifully decorated and incredibly clean. A wonderful place to eat.

Recently ordered the Pad prik khing and had it delivered. The food was good but over priced for the portion size @ $18. This is at best a $10 - $12 meal.

1st time visiting Thai Terrace my food was lite in flavour wonton soup and spring rolls were simply delicious I definitely will go back

Food is ahmazing when it's hot. Does not heat up well. Pad thai was so oily the next day.

We just ordered takeout for the first time from Thai Terrace. Everything was amazing! Perfect ordering and pickup experience as well :) Can’t wait til next time (and to eat our leftovers tomorrow)

The food is always excellent.Hot and tasty definetly a must try.thia is our go to place for thai food around the area.If ordering through grub hub might as well pick up the food your self..specially during this quarantine the estimated times arent correct.our food was ready on time by the reataurant but there were no drivers although grub hub says there are.I called the place owner was very friendly and explained Every thing.not their fault.

Thai food delicious

Awesome food and very nice people. We've gone multiple times, tried multiple things. All are really excellent. I love that you can pick the spice level so I can get it spicy and my wife can keep it at a low spice level.

Food is average but overcharged my credit card. Added gratuity of over 20% because we’re a party of over 4(5th one is a toddler and 6th one is a baby-none had restaurant food). When called out, tried to overcharge individual menu items instead. When questioned about changes in tab, finally, fixed everything but still ended up charging my credit card the very first charges which I had to dispute and get fixed through my bank. Very sad, pathetic and unethical way to run a business. Reporting fraud to BBB as well. PLEASE READ YOUR TAB BEFORE YOU PAY!!

The menu pricing was inaccurate and when we called attention to this, the owners were rather rude about it asking why we can’t just pay the new prices. After we go our order, we noted we did not receive the mentioned soup and asked where it was and said it’s only for weekdays not weekends (which again was not mentioned anywhere) and then they demanded we give our food back without a refund. The co-owner went on a tangent about his race. It was a surreal, bizarre experience. The food itself is average.

The food leaves a lot to be desired. I got takeout and i can only comment on the food itself.

Chicken satay - delicious, very moist juicy chicken and I loved the peanut sauce
Thai chicken nuggets - completely dry and overcooked, could not eat it. the sauce that came with it was too spicy.
Avacado crab salad - Good, but the sauce that came with it was too sweet
Crispy wontons - filling was overcooked and dry
Shrimp with noodles (Goong-Ob-Woon-Sen) - Delicious, lots of big shrimps and veggies and the noodles were great
Tofu pad cee ew - my brother said it was a small portion and wasnt the best he's had.

So overall some dishes are good and others not so much. Not sure if i would eat here again, if I did, then i would probably just get specific dishes that I got before that I thought were good so your mileage may vary.

Our last visit was a few weeks ago so it's not fresh on my memory, but the dishes are much more overpriced and smaller than any Thai restaurant i've been to in the area. Plus their shrimp lettuce wraps are a complete joke. An order of about 5 lettuce wraps each with a half of a baby shrimp on some sad Wawa looking lettuce.

Been here a few times now, and every visit is pleasant and delicious. The owner is incredibly friendly, and very passionate about the food and it's freshness. Every dish I've tried exudes freshness and flavor like no other place I frequent. There are very proud people behind the scenes here, as this level of quality would be impossible otherwise. There is a nice selection of wine by another local favorite of mine, William Heritage Winery, which makes it that much better. I very much look forward to my next visit and beyond. I snapped a couple pics - I'm sorry I had already started eating, but I just couldn't help myself! Lovely desserts as well.

Great food! Gets busy after 7:30 PM. They now serve wine.
