Stopped in here unexpectedly. Food was very good. Green curry was fantastic. The spring rolls were fresh, but not my favorite. Service was friendly and we had table service. Small place like many Princeton places on Nassau. We ordered food to bring home for other family members. We can’t get good Thai near our house.
The restaurant is much smaller than it looks in pictures. There is no table service, they serve the food and disposable plates and forks. I paid $17 for beef drunken noodles. When I arrived, they had served me chicken but corrected the mistake. For this price, I expect proper table service.
The food was way too sweet and had raw tomatoes which threw me off. It tasted okay.
The restaurant is much smaller than it looks in pictures, and is a counter serve joint where you pay at the counter. Very tight seating around 200-400 sf dining room. There are no proper restrooms. I will never come here again.
For roughly the same price $17.50, you’re much better off going to Thai Village. The food is much tastier and less sweet. There are nice high ceilings and a spacious restaurant. There is proper table service with stoneware.
On the other hand, Amazing Thai is way too expensive.
Had lunch at this place, loved the flavors, the freshness of vegetables and over all vibe.
They some killer spread of Thai food on the menu, Chinese noodle soup is a must, best part they serve all main dishes as veg and non-veg.
Located on Nassau st. It is a good place for a quick bite.
Overall good experience.
Food is pretty authentic and delicious and well proportioned. A good variety of foods from South East Asia. Price point: starters price is almost same as mains. Mains prices are standard. No tap water for dine just bottled water. Host was friendly and attentive. Will defiantly come back again for the food!
Great food. Was very quick and nice. Not expensive and is worth the stop. Some other reviews didn’t reflect our experiences.
Bought the pad thai vegetarian and a thai iced tea as a phone pickup order. Interestingly, dine in and takeout is served the same way—in disposable containers.
The pad thai was very fresh and good tasting, but I only got two chunks of tofu in the whole dish, which was disappointing. I’d expect more tofu for the price. That’s why I took a star down. Otherwise everything else was great—the food was delicious and the tea was refreshing.
Edit:
Second visit two weeks later. Had the vegetarian green curry which was phenomenal and had sufficient tofu 😅. Spicy and with many vegetables. Updated to 5 stars.

The food is mediocre at best, and the service could use significant improvement. It’s disappointing that the staff request tips despite putting in MINIMAL effort.
Perfect food!
Prompt service, below average taste better places nearby
Great Experience!
Food was really good!
The pineapple fried rice was very tasty!
味道挺好吃,服務也行!
Ordered food for delivery. We tried their red curry and pad kee mao and both were just okay. Their curry samosas were good (nothing like curry puffs though) and spring rolls were also good. Price is not justified for the taste.
Cozy and clean atmosphere. The food is amazing and I’ve been coming here since I was a student. They have good options and are made fresh to order.
Ordered a LTP fried rice with Shrimp. Worst food I have ever tasted. Firstly the rice wasn't fried at all, rice was all lumpy with raw chucks of tomatoes and 6 flavourless shrimp. I would never take an enemy to this place. IT WAS HORRIBLE.

Cute place, good location, delicious food, big portions. Pad thai, curry noodle soup, and thai iced tea were amazing.
I lived in Thailand for over a decade. The dishes we had were bitter, watery and overpriced. For the $ I'd expect something a little above fast food quality. I think it's mostly a takeout spot for local workers as it's located farther from the main drag. If it weren't for the horrible excuse for a human that runs the place I'd give them another try.
All the foods are fresh and clean. Red curry veg is delicious and it’s good for vegetarian.
Food and management is so much better now! Pad thai + thai tea are so flavorful
The food was delicious! Fresh ingredients that smelled and tasted like they were just picked. The quaint tables were perfect for solo dining in a hurry. The service was fast and there was enough food for takeout in a COMPOSTABLE container. My heart and stomach were filled for $20!

I only order for take out!
I love pad Thai so I’ve had a variety of different versions even in Thailand! So far, this little establishment takes the spot for my favorite pad Thai!
Legit. Super fresh, tasty, friendly and a clean tidy interior.
Food was really good, had enough vegetarian options. It’s a small place with 4-5 tables for dine in. We were a party of 5 + a 3 month old, so they added 20% gratuity, but it really didn’t make sense because we were handed over paper plates and plastic spoons, so what was the gratuity for
First time at Lil Thai Pin and it did not disappoint! The service was good and the server was very nice and attentive. The food was very well made and so delicious (we ordered the chicken wings, chicken lo mein and pineapple fried rice). We will definitely be back!!
Food is good very fast considering I was on my lunch break. However customer service is nonexistent in this restaurant. The older gentleman is as rude as they come. They’re plenty of Thai restaurants I can go to I will not return especially they didn’t have my favorite dish Massaman Curry. In addition there wasn’t a restroom.
Outstanding. What I expect from a Thai restaurant. Shrimp Pad Thai is as good as the other places we’ve tried. Green Curry Chicken had a really nice kick. I would even say a little better than the others I’ve tried.
If you like Thai food, Lil Thai Pin is worth checking out.
Love this place!!! It’s my go to for food off campus. Get the pad see ew shrimp, you won’t regret it.
Just finished 2 x wok dish, one with chicken and another with tofu. Portion size is large, more than enough for the normal person. Except for a hint of sweet soy sauce and chili, the food seemed unseasoned. Could’ve used more salt and less bell peppers as bell peppers dominated all other ingredients. Staff was friendly and food ready shortly after ordering. All things considered food and as expensive and left something to be desired for the tastebuds.
Great place for thai food... their curry noodle is awesome...
Came here for the first time for dinner.
Seating was easy and the menu was simple to navigate. Food looks like your standard Thai cuisine.
I ordered the Pad See Lew. It was alright. The noodles and egg mixed well. The veggies were cut quite large which made eating with a fork a bit difficult. Maybe I should’ve used chopsticks instead. It just felt like the dish needed some more seasoning. By the time I left, the place was actually pretty packed.
Maybe some of the other dishes are better, but I’ll probably try a lot of other Thai places in Princeton before returning here.
Visited Princeton with my girlfriend and we were craving Thai. Gave this place a try and it was deff worth it! Food comes hot and fresh. Staff is very friendly and welcoming.
Food is authentic and excellent! Highly recommend. My kids love the chicken satay and many of their noodle dishes

This is such a delicious Thai place in Princeton! Food came out quick and it was delicious. I ordered the shrimp pad Thai and my friend ordered a chicken green curry. Both were delicious! Will definitely be coming back.
Eating the red curry veggies right now … the vegetables are fresh, there’s a great variety, and sauce is yummy, not cloying. Owner gave a nice “happy new year” too, what’s not to love!
Food was okay. Just average in terms of flavor. But for the casualness of the place and paper plates and plastic utensils, it seems really overpriced.

Service and food is amazing, best restaurant on nassau <3
Great food and pick up is always ready super fast!
Liked the food
Great little place. Good for takeout but they have some seating if you just want a quick bite. Pad Kee Mao was excellent.
The worst thai food experience. Food was served in plastic cups. Not good response from the owner. Food was just OK. Do not recommend this place.
I came to Princeton with my family and found this amazing place, Pad Thai is delicious, pineapple Fried rice is delicious Highly recommend, Thai mango sticky rice Taste good
The food is okay, but the dining experience left a lot to be desired. Go with online ordering for take out and you'll be good.
The host was not graceful in explaining the new policies: the menu entrees are now only available as more expensive dinner servings. Also, tap water is not served, only bottled water. Little patience for dinners just encountering the menu for the first time.
Very slow to make food. Something was burning, I'm surprised the fire alarm didn't go off. I also didn't see anyone washing their hands going between checkout and assembling food
I finished my tom yum soup and was still hungry....bigger portions would be appreciated. The food itself was OK (albeit too spicy for my liking).
Hope there's a 0 star for this. They forced cash paymenet under 15 bucks. I asked why but the owner kept saying that's the rule. Can't believe this, probably to avoid tax. Worst place to go.
Very Rude People! Not recommended!
The place is alway clean and well kept. The food is fresh and tasty. Will definitely be visiting again.
Excellent Thai food. Casual dining room with friendly service
Horrible service. The cashier/server was extremely rude and insulting. We asked for a few extra bowls and he scowled at us, gave us some and then said, "no more". To answer any question we had, he was loud and every body language of his was as if he was doing us a favor. We wanted to order more food, but stopped because we didn't want to be talked to this way. We stayed because we were a large group and were able to block him out of our minds. Had it been just a couple of us, we'd have given him a piece of our minds and left. Finally when my sister went to pay, and she added the tip, he said he won't accept it and wanted more tip. If it were me I wouldn't have tipped him at all for such horrible behavior. Now I see similar reviews below by other customers. And the owner is always defending his staff. Note to owner - If you want to maintain business on such a popular street, teach your staff some basic things first like etiquette. People who have tried to enjoy a meal have left with a sour taste in their mouth.
The food here is ok, though slightly overpriced. You can't order tap water, which is a big minus.
The restaurant has great red curry, tom yum soup, and wok basil dishes. The staff was very courteous and attentive.
Great place to get a good bite with friends. Highly recommend coming for a try!
awful customer service. harassed and forced me to pay even though i paid on door dash for pickup already.
The waiter was rude
Hostile cashier who was constantly coughing without wearing a mask. He first tries to get you to pay with cash, before offering credit card only as last resort. Not hygienic, touched food when serving. Overpriced. Restaurant's answers to bad reviews on here do not reflect the reality.
The worst thai food we aver had. Ordered the beef pad see ew, it didn't have a good taste the pineapple fry rice was just ok. The service sucked the old man was coughing the whole time NOT A GOOD LOOK we had to ask for napkins he gave us 2. I don't even think they are thai people because I understand thai and they didn't sound thai to me. Overall we didn't have a good experience. Not thai food. 😕
Nice!
Delicious. So good hands down.
Amazing food! Fast service! Customer service could have been a tad bit nicer but the food def made up for it. Ordered on the phone, and 5 minutes later when we arrived we decided to eat in, and items were already ready! What more can you ask for!
TRY THE THAI RED CURRY WITH SHRIMP (10/10)
pineapple fried rice (10/10)
And Ofcourse the pad Thai (9/10)
They said they serve halal chicken and meat (would love additional confirmation though)
Tasty food and efficient service!
Food was good, but if I’m paying $16 for lunch, I shouldn’t leave the place hungry.
Ridiculously expensive for mediocre Thai food.
Good for a suburban Thai place - not very distinctive or adventurous, but solid across the board.
Good stuff but Princeton is pricier than even NYC
People in the kitchen who are making your food don’t wear any PPE while they make and prepare the food. I went for some takeout and wanted to immediately leave, forgoing my order, when I saw thru the window the total lack of masks and even gloves. I did get my order and left. Didn’t eat it.
Overpriced, underwhelming, RUDE SERVICE. Just ate here tonight. Expecting a quaint little meal, maybe fast food style, that’s certainly what we got... but for a premium. 2 appetizers, 2 mains—small portions, as most of the other reviews here say, and underwhelming flavoring—a tea and water all for the price of... $60??? To top it off, the cashier/store front asked us for a tip after making us pay at the counter and serving our food in cardboard bowls with plastic flatware... when we explained the absence of tip because it was overpriced, the man gesticulated in the air as if to say “piss off” and grunted over to clean the table. His poor attitude is confirmed by the other reviews here. They are acting hard up for cash and this place feels like paying a high price for a shakedown when THERE ARE MUCH BETTER THAI RESTAURANTS ON THE SAME BLOCK (Amazing Thai, Thai village; I recommend the drunken noodles with seafood at Amazing Thai, can’t be beat) and then the owner has the audacity to claim every one of these reviewers is wrong? raggedy behavior...
In all, they are serving less than truck food quality out of this place and acting broke. Not a fun experience. Two stars for edible food and decent decor.
I had the chicken pad thai and it was okay. Nothing that made me go wow.
Pretty great food, but some dishes have non-standard ingredient choices (e.g. tomatoes in pad kee mao). Again not necessarily bad, just unexpected.
The best Thai food close to Princeton!
Went here super hungry as a group of 4 after an afternoon out in the winter air. My husband is gluten free (due to an allergy, not by choice) and ordered with the assurance that his dish did not have wheat noodles in it. We dug in as soon as it arrived, all of us knowing that what was in front of us wasn't enough, but not wanting to be the downer. My husband was immediately suspicious of the consistency of the noodle. Waitress insisted they were egg noodles. Well, egg noodles are not just egg, they are egg with wheat. The dish went back and he re ordered. The waitress, instead of being apologetic, proceeded to tell him that this new dish would cost an extra $1. Seriously?! She then proceeded to get really nervous about her mistake and started talking on and on. She was worried he was going to go into anaphylactic shock. Eventually she concluded that he isn't really allergic to gluten, he just has too much stress in his life. Very pleasant while you are trying to enjoy dinner with your group.
Nice food
It's okay. It made me appreciate how good my neighborhood Thai place is at home. The sesame chicken was very sweet and the flavors of the drunken noodle lacked zip.
Great service and safety precautions where only one party dines in at a time, and they check your temperature and make you leave a contact with lots of sanitation! Great food as well.
Elder cashier is so rude. I can’t understand how customers tolerate this guy and still buying food from them. Weird!
👍👍
Food is ok. Service is eh. Freshly cooked with ok taste.
Lil Thai Pin is quick and tasty. My favourite is the curry noodle which is similar to Malaysian Laksa and really delicious.
Very clean and fast service. Small menu, but they have all the hits. Great spot.
My wife and I popped in for a dinner and it was extremely tasty and a delight for such freshness and quality.
The Som Tum salad was pretty bad.. but the green curry was pretty good. Nice environment
Food was okay, the tea was overpriced for a teabag
Don’t know what the problem is but the staff is just too rude.
Food is too expensive, you can get better fast food. The cashier / waiter put our forks directly on the table which is unhygienic, so I decided to get another fork.. When we left, my friend saw the waiter take the forks we didn't use on the table and put them back for reuse.. This place is waiting for a trip from a health inspector.
This place is amazing! Loved the green curry and the wok basil! Can’t wait to try something else next time too!
Amazing pad Thai and wanton soup! Friendly owner!
Not for the religiously vegetarians. Even after big disclaimers while placing order, got chicken in the dish. Discounting for human error, server's initial response (oh only a piece, he took it out in front of us and returned the dish as is to us) was alarming enough, don't even want to think how dishes are prepared in kitchen. Friendly but not for us.
Delicious! Veggie pad thai had many types of vegetables not just carrot/pea/pepper mix and same with the veggie pineapple fried rice. Not overly salty or doused in sauce but great flavor.
I’ve never had such delicious Thai food in my life and I lived in NYC for years.
Prices are decent as they give plenty of food to feel satisfied always!
Pad Thai, lo mein and sesame chix are amazing.. oh and the Sam rod shrimp is super yummy and flavorful
Even my husband who is super picky LOVED it.
Can’t wait to bring the kids!
See you soon!!
Food and service was good. However $40 for food served in a cardboard bowl was a bit much. Chipotle feel.
As a Thai food lover, I am so glad I found this place because it’s always so hard to find authentic pad ki Mao that can be made vegan !! The Tom yum noodle soup is pure deliciousness! I was so grateful that they were able to substitute rice noodles for me instead of the regular egg noodles. This is definitely going to be my new go to Thai food restaurant!
I love every single dish I've had there so far! This includes shrimp pad thai, tropical mango chicken, pineapple fried rice, red curry with chicken, etc. I strongly recommend this place!
One of the best pad thai ive ever eaten.
Have been to thailand but the food here os exeptional.
My friend and me ordered 2 bowls and had to go for the third because it was that delicious.
The Thai ice tea was like cherry on the cake.
The service staff and the owner were friendly and seem very confident about the food.
A spot that has value for your money and doesnt at all compromise on quality.
Awesome food
My husband, daughter, and I went to have dinner at this restaurant last night and the food was amazing! The host/ owner was super friendly and actually interacted with us. I had the Red Curry, my Husband had crab fried rice, & my daughter had veggie lo mein! All 3 dishes were amazing! To top it all off, they are Eco friendly with their “to-go” containers and serving dishes! Excellent choice!
Went in speaking English, and without understanding me, they told me (in Chinese) that we could speak Chinese. I have lived in English speaking countries for 7 years and they simply judge me from my skin and think I only speak Chinese and can’t speak English well ? Sounds like discrimination to me or at least superficial/unprofessional. What if I’m Japanese or Asian American? At least ask me to repeat my question if they didn’t hear me well the first time.
1 star if happens next time
Good portions and easily the best thai food in the area.
This is my absolute favorite Thai place, they are extremely generous with their servings and toppings such as vegetables or chicken. Their staff is friendly. Additionally, the food comes relatively quickly as well as being delicious. I highly recommend!
Flavorful and authentic
Excellent food and service. Curry noodle soup and pineapple fried rice are delicious. Portion are good and good to share with two people
Great food, fast service and cozy
Was so hot and delicious
Spicy mango salad is delicious, Pad Thai is very good as well
So fresh, hot and delicious
No like. Mama Sita no bueno. And the owner was rude.
Consistently good food. And service is strictly ok but food is great.. have nearly tried all the dishes out there
Nice food for lunch. Good service.
I was conflicted between giving this place two or three stars. I decided on three stars as, within the context of Princeton town (read: lack of ethnic cuisine), the food quality and service were understandable.
With that said, I ordered the Pad See Lew and Lo Mein (Lover). Both noodles seemed to be drenched in soy sauce and the pad see lew, in particular, was missing its characteristic sweetness. The lo mein chicken was dry. Aside from excess saltiness of the food, the indoor area was cramped and for some reason the restaurant favors biodegradable, paper serveware. Considering the quality and price, I would recommend walking a bit further down Nassau Street to Tiger Noodles.
Great little Thai place for takeout or grabbing a quick bite.
The Curry Noodle Soup is DELICIOUS.
Ordered Green Curry here once. Not spicy so not for me. My friend ordered Pad Thai. Also not spicy and not for her.
food is not great and the dude who runs the place is grumpy and rude
The owner was sneezing and clearing his nose for 10 minutes very loudly, so we just left without finishing our food. We could't take it any longer. Food is also not that great. Prices are high for "grab and go" place.
Didn't know it was mainly a takeout spot. Decided to dine in. Bad idea there... The Green curry was adequately spiced, yet seemed to lack a few items. The green beans were standard "juicy" variety. I am used to haricots verts being present... The curry was served in a disposable paper bowl that imparted a cardboardy taste near the end. I'll go back to try the tom yam or some drier noodle type things next.
Great pineapple fried rice!
I loved this place. Best thai food I have ever had
Good food... Owner very companionable. Visited the place 10/15/18.
Really long waiting time (over 20min)for the simplicity of dishes we ordered. The other dishes on the menu might be great or wonderful, but mine was overly salty to the point that the original flavor of ingredients was totally destroyed. Brought it up with the server but nothing was done. I usually don’t leave negative reviews but this wasn’t a good experience at all.
- A bit pricey for the noodles below average
- No service essentially, so do it yourself and leave no tip
