Decided tonight to give them another shot but only stuck to the Chinese food and everything was bland and undercooked. House lomein was basically just warm plain noodles with chicken shavings.

Pepper steak is basically raw peppers and onions with unseasoned meat scraps thrown in.

Peanut dumplings had burned peanuts and garlic all over it.

Been ordering from these guys for nearly 10 years, but never again.

Plenty of fish in the sea, and unfortunately Ashia ain’t it anymore.

I have been living in this area for more than 12 years now, noticed the place all the times, never ventured. Today 5/14/2022 decided to give it a try. Bad idea.
Place is ok, large, great access, next to a huge apartment community, all is good but the food is BLAND.

Chicken Dumplings: I never saw the shape like a fan, like in underdeveloped countries, children put a three fold paper fan and stick it to a stick with a pin, well odd shape aside, it was OK, (if you can not get dumplings right, you should be garbage removal business, not in Chinese food.)

Lady was nice, service was quick. Price is very reasonable, (again in this inflationary period.) Neatly packed. But what is the use if the food is so BLAND and tasteless.

This is my feedback, may be it will work for you as spices input is ZERO, not at all stopping you all from patronizing local business in these hard and challenging times.

2022 Update - wonderful dine in experience as well! Special rolls and regular rolls were delicious and the staff quick and attentive. The Ashia Roll was our favorite, but all were excellent. Also BYOB!

I get their poke bowls all the time. I absolutely love them! In the area they have the best poke bowls in my opinion. The staff has always been really friendly. I like to add mango to anything I get that has salmon and they always remember to add it (a lot of places forget) At this point I don’t get sushi or poke bowls from anywhere else.

I picked up daughter from school and we picked up at take out but wanted to eat it there. The lady didn't understand what to do. She didn't even give us any table setting. She just said yeah you can eat here. Where is our real plate? or utensils? or chopsticks that were not plastic in the take out bag? I had to ask for every little thing. Water, napkins, a straw... Every little thing! She couldn't care less about her patrons.

I won't be recommending this place to anyone.

I ordered for take out and I had made the mistake of ordering the wrong item. I called and asked what i actually wanted and instead of charging me, they gave it to me on the house, even tho I made the mistake they corrected it. Amazing service!

We really like being able to order Chinese food and sushi from the same place. Good quality food, always consistent, never an issue. We usually do take out and order basics like chicken and broccoli, pork fried rice, chicken lo mein, California rolls and spicy tuna rolls. When we moved to the area we ordered from so many different Chinese restaurants and landed on this one.

First time ordering here and I ordered through DoorDash. The shrimp dumplings were amazing! I also had a California roll and it was very tasty as well. Definitely recommend the shrimp dumplings! I’m already craving more!

ordered takeout, the attendant/receptionist at the front had no greeting, no emotion, just very rude. unable to explain what certain dishes and seemed like she didn't want us there. in addition, she would not verabalize anything like when its time to pay, very demanding attitude, expecting us to have everything ready, whip out my credit card even before settling down the order. lastly, we order a poke ball. the protein, kani, was not cut like most other places. it tasted pretty raw as well. was looking forward to a pleasant visit, but sadly no. very disappointing.

Ten years ago this place was incredible. I don't recognize it anymore. Kung Pao? Do you enjoy spicy dishes that have not one pepper? "Spicy" wontons in peanut sauce? Don't hold your breath. Order of wonton soup? You'll get fifteen wontons with the tiniest bit of meat wrapped around a pound of pasta with enough legit soup for 3 wontons. I had to add water to my soup to try and get it to last for the wontons. Also, they're charging a bag fee and do not let you know. Go up 46 to Denville to Hunan Taste.

Not worth it for take out. Half the dinner entrees were white rice yet the price was more than most places charge for a full entree. The quality of the small portion is the same as other places in the area. Also we ordered fried, not white rice.

The PROBLEM is the staff. The rude girl at the counter. She knows nothing about customer service. No smile , no pleasantness about her demeanor to the customers.
Then one over working waitress for all the tables. No wonder she is just doing her job forcefully or so it seems ! If given a chance she Will Run away and never look back.
Again no smile and no pleasantness about her demeanor to the customers too!
Eating there had become a task for me so now no more!
Please avoid going to this restaurant. You will feel unwelcomed here.

I really wish just once they would get my order correct. Every! Time! Don’t know why they can’t read the online orders correctly. The food is good, if I could just get what I ordered! So frustrating especially when they send something you don’t eat or like! This is supposed to be shrimp and walnuts! More like the cheaper shrimp with Chinese vegetables (EWWW). And it was Spicy HOT! I can’t eat spicy hot! WAYYY TOO MANY GREEN PEPPERS! Very disappointed.

Food was great. Prices are little higher than your average Chinese restuarant, but the quality and portions make up for that price difference. Excellent all around!

I just purchased a tuna pokey bowl with extra protein and salad based for $21, and received a half a bowl with some lettuce, 5 pieces of tuna, a little bit of seaweed salad and 2 cucumber slices. I even bought a side of seaweed salad and was able to put the entire thing in my bowl with room STILL let. The biggest ripoff I have ever experienced. I called them and they stated they had put in more protein and the way they gave it to me is how big their bowls are. HALF BOWL!!!! I have been ordering here for over 13 years and will never go back. I will never support local business that rip of their customers off!!!!!!

I have been coming to this restaurant for many many years, both dining in and taking out. The food is of extremely high-quality, the sushi is phenomenal. The owner Rachael is extremely attentive and watches over everything. It is definitely worth the trip.

This is without a doubt the BEST sushi restaurant in New Jersey. My family and I have been coming here for years and I have not once ever had a bad experience. The food is phenomenal and is served beautifully. The service is incredible and the owner Rachel is incredibly caring and attentive towards her customers. If I could rate this 10 stars I would. I cannot recommended this place enough!

We ordered delivery. When we called to complain about why we received a container of vegetables (sautéed onions, bokchoy stems, carrots, cabbage), lady said that vegetable chow mein order means NO noodle, and that is how it is in any restaurant you go to. If we want noodles it is vegetable Lo Mein. Im eastern asians and i’ve never heard such a ludicrous claim. We pay extra for vegetable fried rice, but the amount they give is much smaller than the orders of regular white or brown rice that comes with the meal. They tell us they will be okay with our substitute for chicken to be tofu, but never told us they will charge us $1 extra until we see our bank account charge. $60 we spent down the drain.

I'm impressed with the Sushi rolls. The do not skimp on the fish and you get a healthy portion of sushi alongside a healthy portion of avocado. Not like other places that give a pinky size piece of fish. I have ordered many times from Ashia and each time is a healthy portion of the actual fish. Also, their soups are not loaded with sodium! So you get a nice authentic flavor without the side effects of too much sodium. I highly recommend this place for Sushi and Japanese soup. I can’t comment on the Chinese menu because I have not yet tried anything.

Ashia has been my go to place ever since I have moved to Parsippany. I get the steamed pork dumplings every single time because it is flavourful and juicy. My husband always orders the general tso’s chicken, chicken with broccoli or barbecue boneless spareribs and he always tells me that they never fail.

This is not just the best Asian food in Parsippany but the best I've ever had anywhere. Get the dumplings and thank me later. Honestly everything is amazing, quick, fresh... I couldn't love this place more

Our go to place for takeout and pickup - never tried delivery. We like the egg drop / wonton soup, spring and egg rolls, steamed dumplings to start. Main entrees are always look and taste fresh including chicken and broccoli, pepper steak, mei fun noodles, etc. We have not tried the sushi portion of the restaurant. Order online on their website and type in any special instructions such sauce on the side, etc. and that works well.

Would probably avoid the sushi from here. The tuna seemed like it wasn’t very fresh.

The order given is never ready on time.

China city is our to go place, but wanted to get something new. General Tso was just OK, wings were fine, but we did not like the scallion pancakes at all. They were dry and crumby. But OK overall, glad we tried.

Had the rainbow poke bowl, I loved everything about it !! Fresh and hit the spot. Only thing I would change is requesting the sauce on the side only because they lay it over top and it takes away from the presentation of the dish. Sauce was top notch!! If you like a nice kick but not that jalapeño linger I suggest the spicy mayo. Will def be trying other dishes from this place. Compliments to the chef😀🥃

Worst pad Thai. I know shouldn’t have ordered pad Thai from Chinese restaurant but I have had it from other Chinese restaurant it’s always good but this one was the worst. The lady at the counter is very rude as well.

Customer service was poor, no welcome greeting. No flavor to chicken wings, needed to be cooked a lil more slight pink. Pork fried rice terrible, veggie not cooked into rice properly. Feels like they cooked rice first and added vegetable after.

I used to get takeout from here a lot when I worked in Parsippany because it was close and quick. The chinese food lunch specials are very cheap for a good amount of food and the sushi rolls are decent as well. When it comes to the sushi, I wouldn't say it's the best quality but I've never had an issue with it (as far as getting sick or anything). It's good for sitting down with a big group during lunch as well because it's usually pretty empty and the service is relatively quick.

Good if you want a quick meal that's not exactly fast food.

First, we had sushi and a normal meal, so the cost of $20 per person is higher than you would have if you just got a normal meal. The food was excellent, some of the best Hunan chicken I have ever had. The sushi was excellent as well. We will definitely be going back! It is an excellent value for the money, this is gourmet Chinese food at a very reasonable price.

Very Disappointed. This restaurant came highly recommend from the hotel. I ordered the light cuisine with Broccoli, Asparagus, Mushrooms and added the shrimp for $4.00. Unfortunately, the person on the phone was not paying attention. I repeated my order a couple times. I received a big container filled with Broccoli, Asparagus (no tips, all stem) and steamed mushrooms with Brown Rice. No shrimp! What a disappointment. This was delivered to the hotel.

Very dissapointed. This used to be my go to for Chinese food. The past 3 times I've ordered have been pretty bad. The latest was yesterday. I had sesame chicken and ribs. The chicken was dried out as well as the ribs.The sauce was bland and it didn't come with the usual green beans. It's a shame it used to be the best in the area :(

I've went to this store several times and found out that the service attitude was very good and that the food tastes great. The decorations around the restaurant was really beautiful. Sometimes I've even called for delivery and the deliver was pretty fast. The man that delivered the food to us was really nice and had good manners.

Never had such a bad encounter when calling about my food order. The lady just kept saying "what? huh? um, ok. what?"... in a very rude monotone way. Not helpful at all, and the food was horrible. Honestly, this place should be shut down.

Ashia is a great local restaurant with a variety of offerings and a warm atmosphere, and friendly, attentive staff. Whether you're in the mood for sushi, stir fry, Thai dishes, typical Chinese American favorites, teriyaki and even Poke bowls, they have something for everyone. They even have a good variety of options for vegetarians. They offer delivery but also have a large, welcoming dining room. It's nice to have such a great place in the neighborhood.

The worst restaurant I ‘ve had the misfortune of encountering. Dirty, dark & old inside. The menus has food smeared all over the plastic covers. The fish in sushi platter was old and stinky, which I had to spit out. When I asked the unfriendly young waitress to take it off the bill, the owner refused and argued loudly. Bad manners, bad food, bad all-around. STAY AWAY. I’d give it no stars if I could.

This restaurant has some of the best Chinese food in parsippany. The sushi is amazing. If you like sushi and havent been here yet, your missing out. The lunch specials are a great bargain. Lunch is from 11 -3pm monday through saturday. I highly recommend you come check this place out for lunch. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the staff is always courteous and attentive.

We went for the all you can eat, but they wouldn't serve any entre until we ate about 100 dumplings they put in front of us,...that we didn't order. Never received our Sushi never received any meet after the waitress told us they wouldn't bring us any more food until we finished what was on the table I had heard enough. To make matters worse we were overcharged. I paid and left peacefully as I promised my wife. Needless to say I won't be returning.

There own rendition of what typical Americans look for in traditionally named Chinese American dishes... Good appetizers, decent food but not what you are accustomed to.

First time to visit. Good selection of dishes to cater to many palettes. Flavors were good and meat/vegetables were very fresh. If only one complaint it would be that when customer asks for something spicy don't hold back

I was looking for Asian food similar to NYC. This is pretty damn close, I keep going back for the noodle soups.

Ashia is literally amazing, the quality of the food as well as variety is worth while. I am content and happy with the customer service, which is always welcoming and awesome. I recommend this restaurant to any who enjoys awesome food. Additionally, the bathrooms are well maintained and supplied, and for my fellow men, there is a urinal as well as toilet so no sloppy seats.

I moved to Parsippany recently and I ordered Chinese food from here for the first time. I will say, I was definitely disappointed. I ordered some sesame chicken and it was rather bland tasting. It really had no taste at all. There was no sesame on the chicken and I guess they forgot to put it on. I also, asked for Pork Fried rice with my chicken and got brown rice instead.

The sesame chicken also cost $13 and I think it was a bit steep considering the meal didn't even come with an egg roll nor a soup either. I had to pay extra for those. I am more accustomed to a combination meal costing more like $9 and coming with a soup and eggroll.

I don't think I will order from here again. There are many other Chinese places around and I think I will try another next time.

Order from Hunan Noodle House across the street. Their Chinese food is better and it costs less.

The food was well prepaired and came out in a relatively timely manner. Decor was nice, but typical. The only complaint I have was the service. When my friend asked the server for her opinion about two different dishes she looked at him like he had two heads and was rather snoody telling him that Chinese people don't like chicken... no need to be man about it

The person at the front is always very nice and the servers are very attentive to if you need anything. The food is very good and possibly the best Chinese/Japanese in the area. The decor on the inside is very nice and always makes for a nice day/night out for eating.
