Enjoyed a delicious meal at Sukhumvit Thai Eatery on Walnut Street in Montclair. I had the beef with jasmine rice and vegetables. Both of my friends ordered tofu with sticky rice - one with garlic. The portions were large and the vegetables were cooked to perfection!
For dessert, my friends loved the chocolate lava cake and the Creme Brulee, also AMAZING!!!
The waitress was helpful, patient and professional.
The venue is large with great spacing between tables. The decor is also delightful !!!
Highly reco.mend Sukhumvit Thai Eatery !!!
This place is AMAZING π€©!! Perfect for brunch, date night or family dinner. Had the true Thai styled ambience, hospitality and vibe. Having lived in Southeast Asia for a while I approve the food , presentation and taste.
Very vegetarian friendly.
Jade dumplings were perfect and sauce was ok
The Vietnamese summer rolls were a 10 and that peanut sauce was perfection
Thai green curry was excellent with Thai red chilly spiciness and beautifully cooked colorful vegetables
I highly recommend trying the yuzu plum refresher (not sweet at all)
Very good food, with an easy to follow but varied menu. Nice location, and they have weekly lunch specials of their most popular items. Fresh ingredients with a generous use of flavorful seasonings. Indoor (with air conditioning) and outdoor seating options. Location typically has available street parking.
My son and I had lunch outside on a beautiful day. Food was very good. Quality ingredients and attention to detail. Fantastic service. Large portions with enough to take home. We had the Jade Dumplings, Tom Kha soup, and shared the Pad Thai.
You can always tell a restaurant that cares about their food when the Pad Thai is thoughtfully prepared and not an afterthought.
Mr. Ginger mocktail is fantastic!
Service and atmosphere are excellent. Food is average. Tom Yom Soup is supposed to have a lemongrass base - no lemongrass and no sour taste. Ordered chicken red curry - more sweet than spicy even though I ordered spicy.
Delicious Thai restaurant. Iβve been wanting to try it for a while. Food was delicious! Crab rangoon to die for. Yummy crab fried rice but our favorite was the beef Bangkok noodles. Absolutely delicious! Great service and very friendly server. I would recommend to make a reservation on the weekend.
Food is very delicious!!!!! So good, worth every penny.
We love to eat here with friends and family! The food is amazing and the service is fantastic! We come here at least once a week!

Sooo so yummy. I love to come here the service is amazing but the fooood speaks for itself . Pad thai tofu was delicious and flavorful. I tried the pineapple fried rice with cashews and tofu. Rice was cooked perfectly!! Dessert was a treat as well. We had the green tea ice cream with chocolate lava cake.
Pad Thai gave me worst food poisoning of my life
Delicious food and wonderful service. π

Wonderful Thai food located in the heart of Montclair. The food is consistent, service is efficient and the team never rushes us.

Cute spot that has now become a go-to Thai spot. We enjoy their mocktails and the fact that it is BYOB. I also order the Yum Neer beef salad. They have some veg options but not a very extensive menu of veg options.
Great food, delicious , beautiful presentations and good prices. staff friendly and patient. Noise level was not loud
Duck drunken noodle was excellent!
The green curry and Bangkok noodles are SO good. We love them so much we never get anything else! The curry has just the right level of spice and is so flavorful.
I was here for the first time this weekend. Food and service was wonderful. We order 4 appetizers, entree and dessert. My favorite was Tub Tim Fritter and the pad Thai. I will definitely be going back very soon.

very great service, beautiful restaurant. tom yom soup was great
Iβve eaten here 3 times and never had an issue with the food. The food is delicious! The first time i ate inside the restaurant where my friend and I were politely rushed out. We had workers cleaning around us as we ate and they even went as far as to turn the lights on before we were done. It wasnβt quite closing time and we werenβt the only people there but this is why i have atmosphere 2 stars. I gave 3 stars for my overall review because like i said the food is great but last night i ordered takeout and paid $77 for whatβs pictured below. I feel totally scammed and will never order from here again. My crab Rangoon was burned and the mini containers of white rice are just disrespectful lol
Iβm not going to lie food was good (appetizer) food arrive so late that we need to take the food home we waited more than a hour for our food horrible experience; waiters were rude and not kind at all.
The best Thai PERIOD. Iβve tried almost everything here at this point, and itβs perfect. Every single dish has delivered, so fresh, so flavorful. This is my favorite cuisine and this place is easily the best. I could eat here every day.
Everything was great, we will come back.
Simply one of the best Thai food I have eaten in recent times. Great service. Large portions. Very flavorful. Very nice ambience of the restaurant as well.
Flavor of the soup I got is great. However the GIANT pieces of tomato and onions is insane. Please chop them up
Deeeelicious! We've been looking for a great Thai food place in North Jersey and this is incredible.
Loved the dishes and will visit this again
Delicious Thai dishes along with non-alcoholic drinks. On a nice, sunny day, grab an outdoor table with a southern exposure for an al fresco treat.
This place is really nice and hip and the staff are really kind! 10/10 would reccomend. My drunken noodle was delish and the perfect amount of spicy
Left with two bad tastes in my mouth. To be fair, food is generally good. However, we ordered the red snapper in tamarind sauce as one of our mains. The fish ($38) itself tasted VERY off, as it had been in the fridge for far too long. It was inedible. The server stopped by to ask how everything was and we explained the issue with the fish. To their credit, they apologized and offered us something else to eat, though we politely declined. When the check showed up, they had not removed the fish from the bill, even though we left the fish untouched. Not awesome.
Get the honey duck, crispy chicken, and crab Rangoon! This place has great atmosphere and a true gem of a restaurant!
I canβt speak on anything but the food because I got it delivered, but it was so good I had to come here to give them their 10βs. Food was piping hot and BOMB. Best Thai food Iβve had besides another spot I frequent
best thai iβve ever had! wonderful friendly staff, and such a beautiful atmosphere! every dish is perfection.
I had the pad thai and thought it was amazing! Great seasoning and flavor
BAD SERVICE. I was happy for this place to see them busy after opening. However, this is where too much can be no good. They started out so strong with very fast service. Then they blew up, have all their tables filled, lots of Uber eats and takeout and their service got so bad. People are waiting for tables when they have reservations. Horrible wait times for food.
They either :
1. Take less tables and less takeout orders bc they literally cannot keep up with the demand. The place is a hot mess when you walk in. And only 3-4 wait staff handling it all. No hostess so you're standing there waiting to tell them you have a reservation. Then you end up waiting 40 minutes for your meal. We came fasting for Ramadan expecting to eat within at least 25 minutes and we sat there for 45 min for food.
2. Hire more staff! They have no hostess not enough waiters and they're running around like it's a mad house between tables that are left neglected or waiting.
3. Both! The kitchen staff clearly can't keep up with the demand of the all the takeout and the restaurant.
Waiting 45 min for food for 2 people is too long.
Unfortunately I won't be back untill it's at 5-530 before the rush. It's a shame because their food is really good.
3.5 stars. Great atmosphere and location, we were so excited to try it. Unfortunately it was not the authentic thai flavor that we were expecting at all. The service was generally good, however it was a bit disappointing when our server couldn't answer some of the questions about vegetarian dishes on the menu and despite having a discussion to find the vegetarian dishes, they didn't point out that the papaya salad had mini dried shrimp in it. Glad to have tried it, but not in a rush to go back, I regret to say
Waiting 1 hour for food about to tell manager not paying ! We got here it was us and 2 other groups don't know why it is taking so long avoid
Thai delight! Tasty food, relaxed atmosphere, and great service. Loved their curry dishes! Definitely coming back for more flavorful adventures. ππ #ThaiTreats
Meh. Stopped here for a quick dinner and wanted to enjoy the unusually warm weather, so we sat outside. Service was great. However, the food was below average. Perhaps Im spoiled after working near Manhattan's Chinatown for more than a decade. But the food just wasn't hitting. My pad thai was outright nasty. I gave it 3 stars because my guest enjoyed their food. But I will not be going back.
My favorite restaurant in Montclair, and definitely the best Thai. I love this spot!
Excellent!
Had take out Pad Thai for the second time. The first time it was delicious. But this time seems like it was over flavored with fish sauce. Curry puffs and spring rolls were delicious. The restaurant also had Christmas and Halloween decorations up which made the entrance look and feel cluttered.
This is about delivery only. Maybe the food would be better in the restaurant. For the price, everything was kind of mediocre. Every dish was extremely dry. The βThai Fresh Rollsβ were inedible. The plate of onions pictured is about half of what was in an order of Larb. It was literally 75% large pieces of raw onion. Disappointing.
Loved the food and the atmosphere..Such a cute setting. A nice place to come with family or to go on a date. The drunk man noodles and Tom yum rice were so good.. The portions are also large.
Will definitely come back for good thai food.
The best part of the restaurant was the interior decorations- a pleant place, however, my drank man noodles came up too fried. The service tried its' best but rushed us even if the place was not busy yet.
Always enjoy eating here - the food and service is always great
Beautiful place, delicious food, great hosts, quiet enough for people to enjoy a conversation.
We loved everything! I love thai food and this is one of the best in the area.
Delicious & great service. 1 star taken off for missing listed eggplant ingredient on order however upon commenting it was replaced with carrots& reduced spiciness. Loved all the seasoning is strong as it should be, fresh ingredients used & hot temperature. Price is reasonable too. Definitely recommend & be back.
Always an excellent choice. The food is amazing
Too long wait time! Two grilled main course took more than an hour. When we asked, the reply was βbecause it is a grillβ. Sorry, Nonsense. The steak was chewy and all fatty. The salmon was dry. No salt or too salt, nothing in between. The atmosphere is nice though if you wanna give it a try.
I will never go back. The food was too salty and inedible. $80 for salty, mushy noodles.
Iβve eaten in and ordered take out here. This place serves great βAmerican-izedβThai. Just the right amount traditional ingredients and milder stuff for the US palate. The noodles are just the right amount of chewy, the curries have that amazing thai sweetness - itβs a solid 6.5 out if 10 thai.
Great Thai! Attentive service and well balanced spices
Everything I tried tonight was marvelous. Spring roll and curry puffs are a must to try for appetizers. For the main dish, I tried Dunken Man Noodle, and my husband got Tom Yum Lemongraas Soup. It was so good! We even thought to order another portion to take out. Our server was Kiki. She was so friendly and helped us with our choices. We will definitely come back again!
The place is very nice. The employees are friendly. The food is incredibly delicious. sauces are great. Thanks Kiki.
First time ordering from Sukhumvit and we are very impressed! The food was ready quickly and the delivery was great! We ordered the Panang curry, Massaman curry and Pad Thai. 10/10 for everything. Highly recommend!!
Delicious food and awesome service!
Delicious food. Interesting appetizers. Friendly knowledgeable staff
We have had take-out here several times, and finally took the opportunity to sit down and have dinner inside.
The food has been terrific every time, and finally eating in, we got to experience the friendly service.
There are lots of great Thai places, but Sukhumvitβs Bangkok noodles have quickly risen to being my favorite.
Bonus for location and parking compared to downtown.
Went here on a Thursday night for some Thai food. Our appetizers took nearly an hour to come out and we saw others who came way after us get their food before us. The service was slow and bad and no apologies for the long wait even though the place wasn't at all crowded.
Got the shrimp cocktail, spring rolls, and satay chicken for appetizers. The shrimp cocktail was bland but that's how it is but it still had the "poop" vein in the shrimp. They should have removed it. The satay chicken was delicious but a little dry. And spring rolls tasted fine, like all other spring rolls.
I got the pad Thai noodles which were ok but was lacking in flavor. I asked for Thai street lvl spicy but it was really mild. For my GF we got the tiger beef platter which was probably the best dish in the menu so far. It was loaded with flavor and I'll probably get that if I go back again.
For dessert we got the Mango sticky rice and Mango Ice Cream with sticky rice. Both were absolutely on point. The sticky rice wasn't overly sweetened and the mango was perfectly ripe.
Overall the place had decent food but the service was atrocious. They need to really work on that.
Great and Savory thai food. Love pad thai and spicy drunken man noodles.
Very Friendly, great space, fast and friendly service
If you love Asian food this is the spot! The Staff is pleasant and accommodating. The Whole fried fish is out of this world. A beautiful fried red snapper covered in a very fresh Mango Salad. Enough for two people to share! The chicken wing appetizer was excellent. This place is amazing coming from a foodie that is very picky. I highly recommend this place, but leave me a spot so I can have the fish again!!!!!
We did not have a positive dining experience here. Food was good but there was essentially no air conditioning and it was sweltering. Also, there was only one bathroom for a fairly large number of tables and people were lined up to use it.
Food was great! So why two stars?
My wife and I arrived on time for a 6:30 reservation. We were asked to leave at 7:25 "because someone else was waiting on our table". Less than an hour? We had just finished eating and were enjoying our conversation. In the future we'll maybe do take out from here, no more date nights.
Our go to Thai spot in Montclair. Almost all the good weβve tried is great!! Sometimes itβs busy and the food takes a while but once it arrives, itβs usually consistently delicious!
Great food. Entree portions are large. Should have checked the portion size before we ordered an entree each. Nice lovely decor with large glass windows.
Staff was great. Very courteous.
This is the best Thai food I've had in New Jersey. Delicious entrees and soups. Great options for vegetarian dishes.
Excellent, flavorful, fresh & creative food! Our new go-to for Thai. Havenβt eaten at the restaurant yet but takeout was superb. The curry puffs are outstanding- not to be missed!
Man Iβm not sure what happened with our order but we got pad Thai, basil fried rice, spring rolls and veggie dumplings and asked for it to be vegan. Either they donβt know how to prepare food without eggs, fish sauce or oyster sauce or they just canβt cook period! The food was so bland NO FLAVOR and all we tasted was the SPICE! The spring rolls were literally the best thing while everything else was nonsense and a waste of money.
This is the second time in a row where the takeout food quality hasnβt been good. I originally praised this place when they opened but with recent experience, I would recommend trying another place.
Been here recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was packed on a Wednesday night with one 2 serverβs managing the place yet the service was top notch and quick. We ordered Tom yum, tofu soup(huge portions)). Jade dumplings were delicious! Got the drunken noodles and Pad Thai. Both were excellent. Overall a high quality Thai restaurant.
Jade dumplings are delicious!
Fantastic place. Perfect portions, and balanced ingredients.
First impressions are often the most important and between the kind front of house staff, the mocktails and app presentation they absolutely killed it. The drinks were a delicious kick off to the meal that could be easily substituted as a post meal treat. I got the lunch special which came with a free appetizer so I ordered the the tub-tim fritters which were deliciousβI only wish there were moreβand the miso and papaya salad were very flavorful. The papaya salad was topped with almost microscopic dried shrimp which Iβve never seen before. Pretty cool to look at and the shrimp taste was there. Pad Thai may have been the best Iβve ever had and the green curry was top notch. Itβs definitely a pricey meal so it may be better for special occasions than regular visits, but honestly I want to go back tomorrow and Iβll find a way to justify the dent to my wallet.
Above average prices and kinda bland thai food. More expensive and more bland than SLA, if you can believe it.
Chicken satay served with the most watery peanut "sauce" ive ever had at any restaurant - pretty much all water. This can be fixed.
Coconut shrimp are very bland - needs something to make it pop. Served with sysco-like mustard which is 1) quite odd for thai cuisine and 2) just cheap.
Pad see ew was fine other than that it was supposed to have egg, had almost no egg. Execution needs a fix.
Pad Prig khring had almost no ginger, making the chicken taste like salty teriyaki. Execution just needs a fix. We always order this dish from any thai place.
Drunk man noodles were good, i would ask for htem extra spicy next time.
Was there twice this week! Very consistent. Beautiful dining room and friendly service! Fantastic! π
My husband and I enjoyed our dinner here. We shared the Thai fresh roll. He had pad Thai and I ordered the sweet and sour with chicken. I liked the sweet and tangy flavors. Our order took about 25min to come out. Everything tasted fresh and the portions were great. The restaurant itself was clean and had fun colorful Thai vibes. Staff was helpful. We would definitely come back.
Overall a good experience. The staff were friendly, welcoming and the food was good.
There are a large variety of options for all tastes and chilli strength. We did find that a couple of the dishes were a little too sweet which isnβt typical. The dipping sauce for the chicken wings was Hoisin sauce with some tamarin flavour which is not Thai!
The biggest issue we had though and I hope they will address is that they prioritised online orders over in-house orders. We saw a continual stream of food coming from the kitchen ready for pick up and yet we sat for 30mins waiting for our dishes and our dishes were not complex ones. Hope they will rethink this.
Everything was delicious and came out quickly. It was a busy restaurant but the staff always checked in and were attentive. The decor is beautiful. I loved sitting and looking at the wall art and chandeliers. The location is on a cute street too. Canβt wait to visit again and try more dishes.
iβve ordered take out twice so far& the food is always delicious! :) highly recommend
This was hands down the best Thai food weβve had, and weβve had Thai like a bazillion times. We dined in and the food and service was excellent and we just got take out and it was fantastic. Note, portion sizes are large and the medium spicy is very hot, so Iβll order mild next time, but still delicious.
This new restaurant is beautiful! It has a wonderful ambience and great service. However, I did not find anything super special about the food, especially for the price. I had the chicken shrimp dumplings for appetizer and Pad Thai for my entree. The dumplings were not great and the pad Thai was way too sweet. If you are looking for a nice vibe, definitely a place to visit but if you are looking for good Thai food, I would skip.
The food was great! Bit more expensive than I expected for Thai, but worth it. Ambiance and service were decent, not notable. I'll definitely return.
Best Thai Iβve had in the USA. Wonderful and attentive waitstaff. Artful decor. All round perfection.
After being seated in an empty restaurant, the hostess never came to our table. Instead, she catered to a white couple who arrived after us. Further, the couple had a dog which doesnβt appear to be part of the restaurantβs policy based on the hostessβ reaction. After sitting in the restaurant for an extended time with no contact, we left. Iβm not one to scream racism, but being ignored while the hostess brought a bowl out for a dog is disheartening. To make matters worse, when we left, there was no apology.
Excellent food, beautifully decorated dining room. Flavors were very vibrant and all food was cooked perfectly. The HOT items are just hot enough to be enjoyable - if you want to sweat you could probably ask for a bit more spice but for me - their base level of HOT was perfect.
Good portion sizes and great value for money.
Worth a try
High hopes, pretty space, promising menu, but a sick amount of sugar in the sauces. It feels like they dumbed the flavors down with sugar for Americans? Had to ask for lime to cut the sweetness.
My first time in here. Surely not the last. Very good food. Great service!!! Glad I felt adventurous and came in.
First time dining here, popped in on a whim for the lunch special on a Friday.
First off - beautiful inside, stylish contemporary decor, would be great for date night.
Secondly and maybe most importantly, the food was brilliant. We had a Chicken Green Curry and Beef Thai Basil lunch special, and the quality was superb.
The green curry was probably one of the best I've had in the US.
We'll be back - for dinner date night next time.
I got delivery through seamless. The curry that I ordered arrived hot and everything tasted fresh and delicious. I will definitely order again and hope to visit the restaurant soon!
Best Thai I've ever eaten. And get the fried ice cream.
My guest & I came to the area to watch a band across the street but arrived early and decided to give Sukhumvit Thai a try being we both love Thai food. The service was excellent & the food was very good. If we are ever are in the area again we will definitely come here for dinner again- score A
We LOVE Thailand, have been multiple times and this is the closest thing we have to it. The food was soooo so good. We got the panang, green, massaman curries, Tom yum soup and all were a 10! We weren't a fan of the Bangkok noodle (too bland for us, but likely great for kiddos) will definitely be going back! Great Montclair add!
I love thai food, I have my favorite place, but it was so good good taste.. recommend it
We were looking for a good Thai restaurant in the area and stumbled upon this gem. I never write reviews, but the food was so exceptional, I thought it was well deserved. Great presentation and decor as well. Weβll be back.
Wonderful fresh Thai food. New owners, service lovely.
First time ordering and it was fantastic! Canβt wait to go dine in person!
There's a yummy new Thai restaurant in town right on Walnut Street. It's a little expensive but it's good. We went there for the first time on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't very crowded and the service was good.
Best Thai Food in the area now
Tried this place for the first time and it was their second week open. Place was awesome! Great food. Server was super nice and attentive. Will definitely come back.
Been 3 times since they opened this month, the interior is lovely and inviting, great for meeting friends and also very family friendly. Their takeout is excellent also.
Food is fantastic. Some traditional items that are always great and some new favorites. Try the drunk man noodles!! Atmosphere is great as well.
Excellent Thai food at affordable prices. The Pad Se Yu and chicken dumplings were amazing! Highly recommend!
Seriously good Thai food. Many options in the area but this is the new go to. Big portions, incredible flavor. Welcome to town!
Iβve never seen mock duck on a menu anywhere in Montclair! Food was delicious, service was prompt and I canβt wait to come back again.
Picked up a green curry with shrimp. It was outstanding!!! Perfect heat, lots of tender shrimp, delicious vegetables and sauce. Nice mixed rice on the side. All for a reasonable $20.
Be ready to wait: I ordered a pick up order over the phone. That took like 10 mins . Then the person on the phone told me it would be 25 mins. I came 40 mins later just to give them some padding. Not only was my food not ready, the guy at the door had to ask me what my order was again instead of asking the name on the order!
15 mins later I have to get up and ask him what was going on. Then he goes back to get my order. One item is missing!! Now I have to wait another 10 mins !
I havenβt even had the food yet and Iβm already not coming back here: I get they just opened up, but this is their 3rd location. There should be no bugs in the system.
Come at your own risk!
