We ordered the vegetarian options. And they were bad. The tofu and vegetable was edible but the crepe was pretty bad.

WOW. Talk about stumbling upon a jewel! I was looking for something different & this place comes up with stellar reviews!

And I was not disappointed.

First of all, you are greeted by the owner/cook/server who is a jolly soul. Sounds like his name is Yuth. The place is unlike anything I have ever seen as a restaurant, matter of fact, I wasn't even sure I WAS in a restaurant. But after chatting briefly Yuth assured me I was in one & handed me a menu which he explained

I ordered the Pad Thai with Salmon which was hard because there are so many yummy items he offers. They fit into 4 categories--crepes, soups, rice berry bowls & pad thai.

With my pad thai came a delicious kale salad & you can tell that his ingredients are fresh. In both, the flavors are bursting in savory, spicy & sweet.

VERY DELICIOUS. I will be back... next time maybe will try the crab cakes & pad thai...

Oh & the prices are an INSANE in value! All that for under $25!

Diner Review №4

I loved the place it has a very cozy vibe and loved the food here I tried Pad Thai and Thai red curry noodle soup absolutely delicious !!!
Highly recommend if you are around Jersey city area.

Diner Review №5

Lowkey spot in Jersey City. The owner is very enthusiastic and puts his own unique spin on Thai food. Highly recommend!

Diner Review №6

The storefront is completely unassuming. The kind thai chef took time to chat with us and told us he cares more about the food than a fancy storefront. My husband and I enjoyed our order: pad thai and khai soi (vegetarian). He puts a twist to the dish so don’t expect the tranditional version. We will definitely be back to try other things. So glad we walked by and our curiosity led us to open the door. No frills but great food.

Diner Review №7

I had the pleasure of meeting a truly kind and humble chef. The food was exceptional, thanks to his use of high-quality ingredients. The pad thai, in particular, was a standout, with the clever addition of kale salad and quinoa, which not only added nutritional value but also elevated the flavor. I highly recommend a visit, not only for the chef's warm hospitality but also for the delicious food. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the generous use of premium ingredients, which is uncommon in other restaurants that charge more

Diner Review №9

This place is the best - amazing food put together by a one man show. You can’t leave doing anything other than smile.

Diner Review №10

15/10, a rare gem in Jersey City and beyond. This place is a one man show, run by the owner and chef, who is such a wonderful, kind, and gracious character. His welcome was so warm (overflowing with gratitude that we walked through the snow to dine in) and his service was excellent. But what puts this place over the top is the spectacular food. Will be coming back for seconds, thirds, etc.

Diner Review №11

Food is great. Owner is amazing. Atmosphere is so fun. One of my favorite restaurants in the nyc area.

Diner Review №12

It's a small eclectic place that serves incredible Thai food. The owner is also the chef and waiter. He's super friendly and very efficient. Even when all the tables were busy, we never felt like the service was slow. The food was freshly made, and very tasty. Not your run of the mill Thai restaurant.

Diner Review №13

The Pad Thai was something unique and new to me. Really enjoyed it. But besides the food, the owner is so friendly and passionate about the food he is making. Would recommend to try it at least once.

Diner Review №15

I had a wonderful experience at Prince & I in Jersey City! The owner, chef, and server, Terrayuth, is such a sweet and welcoming person. He took the time to walk us through the menu options, which made the experience feel very personal. While the ambiance is no-frills, it has a warm and inviting vibe, and you can tell the other patrons are just as happy to be there to enjoy the food and atmosphere.

We ordered the veggie tofu pad Thai and the chicken khao soi, and both dishes were absolutely delicious! The flavors were spot on and perfectly balanced. I will definitely be returning to try more of their menu. Highly recommend!

Family owned feel. Amazing flavors. Clean, food came out fast and tasted amazing. Best ramen in jersey city! Shrimp pad Thai was great as well.

Diner Review №18

Diner Review №19

Loved this place so much! The owner is the sole cook and server, yet he was very quick with the prep.

The chicken noodle soup was excellent - beautiful presentation, unique taste, sufficient quantity, and not too expensive.

The owner has a very friendly and warm demeanor. Loved his music choice as well. Will definitely be coming back when I'm in this area!

Diner Review №20

Amazing food and an excellent owner! Much love ❤️

Diner Review №21

Charming owner and unique Thai food with all customized sauce, menu and recipe
Crepe is unique recipe but the sauce is too heavy
Tom yum noodle is very sour and little spicy. Overall, the restaurant that you must visit in Jersey city

Diner Review №22

The owner has his own special recipes

Diner Review №23

Diner Review №24

Fantastic, flavorful, and curated by a genius who is stoked about what he’s cooking — and so should you be.

Diner Review №25

I absolutely loved this restaurant.

The owner appears to be the chef and only waiter. He prepared the food for all tables and served each one with a high level of care and attention.

I took his recommendation and had the crepe. It was delicious! We also had the pad Thai, which I highly recommend.

I look forward to returning to this restaurant.

Diner Review №27

I have never met such a kind and passionate owner! He was beyond thankful we decided to eat at his establishment, and I'm glad we did. I had Rice Berry with chicken, and it was delicious! I loved having the kale salad served on the side and an egg on top of my rice. It was so good.

Diner Review №28

The food was absolutely incredible! We did our best to get every drop off our plates/bowls and then ordered more meals to go! The warm, welcoming energy of the owner/chef/server was equally incredible and left our hearts and bellies full!

Diner Review №29

Deliciosa comida y muy cómodo su precio 100% recomendado

Diner Review №30

Diner Review №31

We had Pad Thai, Kaow Soi and Super Herb soup. All fantastic. Super friendly owner. Definitely coming back.

Diner Review №32

This is probably one of the best Thai spot in the city. The food is amazing and the chef runs the restaurant alone and the guy is truly passionate about what he does. Loved the Khao Sui and Pad thai! Worth every penny spent!

Diner Review №33

The chef is so hardworking and kind! Food is great too!

Diner Review №34

Diner Review №37

Very authentic atmosphere. Great food and price, and the owner is full of positive energy! Love it will return

Diner Review №38

Great personality great food presentation great vibes. Silly chef will make you smile!

Diner Review №39

Me and my wife had two pai Thai’s chicken and shrimp. These were awesome. Perfect level of spiciness and the owner is very polite and is always smiling. You can see he is starting with the restaurant because the place needs a little more work but no doubt this is a great place to eat Thai. We went home happy.

Diner Review №40

Cozy, cute local spot for thai food. The owner does it all—chef and waiter—but the service is still fantastic. Food is 10/10, and I’ll definitely be back, not just for the amazing dishes but also for the warmth and kindness the owner showed…I barely write google reviews but I wanted to do this time! I sincerely hope my review can help this spot be seen by more people!

Diner Review №41

Flavorful Thai food with a casual setting, eclectic owner, and great value. The menu is a bit difficult to read but the owner is more than happy to explain it (soup, pad thai, or rice base with your choice of protein).

The rice in the berry bowl had a nice bite and a starchy, sweet flavor from berries in the rice. Salmon and poached egg were cooked well and the salad was delicious.

The Thai black noodle soup was savory, and the thin noodles held the sauce perfectly.

I love this place and the owner; I would definitely return.

Diner Review №42

The fact that this place is run by one guy, correction one very enthusiastic and passionate guy - who is welcoming & seating the customers, passionately explaining the menu/food items and what kind of taste to expect, and preparing the food & serving it, all by himself is just commendable.

Coming to food, both the dishes - Crab cake pad Thai & Chicken Red Curry were delicious. The pad Thai was probably the best I've ever had. The flavors were just too good. Chicken curry was a little spicy (chef did warn us), but don't regret getting it though.

Some people have posted that higher review ratings are more on compassionate grounds & how they didn't find the food to be "typical Thai food". Well, it is not typical Thai food. The chef was upfront about it, that he has given his own touch and we should expect some diff flavors. I felt the menu was more of a Thai fusion food with some Japanese/Korean/Chinese touch to it. The place is definitely not your neighborhood cafe/restaurant but pretty good for a casual bite and some feel good vibes.

Diner Review №43

My favorite restaurant in JC!! The chef made all the delicious dishes himself and all dishes tastes soooooo good! A must-try!

Diner Review №44

This was THE best Thai food I’ve had in the NY/NJ area. The owner is so lovely and kind. We were walked through the menu and our party of six ate so well. Between several orders of pad thai, noodle soup, and curry we left full and content. I’m so excited to go back again soon. This is a hidden gem just minutes from the PATH with a warm ambiance and excellent food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Diner Review №45

Best of the Thai fusion worlds. I couldn’t ask for a better meal. Top notch Thai black super herb and spice rice noodles with beef. Unforgettable chicken pad thai.

Diner Review №46

You can tell the owner puts so much care and passion into the food. The atmosphere feels intimate and cozy, like a hole in the wall does. The crab cake pad Thai was particularly tasty. Delicious food at a reasonable price that is well worth the wait and patience (since the owner is both the only waiter and only chef)!

Diner Review №47

This restaurant is a hidden gem. Great food.

A very homely place with amazing food! The chef and host was very warm. Highly recommend

Magnifique adresse autant atypique que son patron tantôt cuisinier, tantôt serveur.
Excellente cuisine asiatique aux goûts marqués et riche en saveurs variées…attention ça pique..et c’est bon !

Diner Review №53

I lived down the street from Prince & I for several years. My love of this small, possibly illegally-run hole in the wall knows no bounds. The sparse interior, decorated with oversized plushies, you may suspect you’ve entered the wrong restaurant upon first arriving. This is the charm of Prince & I. The entire restaurant is run by one man, who will seat you, take your order, then proceed to cook absolutely delicious Thai/French inspired cuisine. In the handful of times we’ve been, the experience has always been so relaxing and wonderful. Small, independent restaurants like this are a dying breed in Jersey City. I wish the owner success for many years to come.

Diner Review №54

Haven’t even eaten yet. When the other reviews say “It’s one guy.” I didn’t realize that it was one guy doing literally everything. I’m giving a 5 star because every single person around us dining is raving about their dishes and the guy seems to have a heart of gold. He’s galloping around with a big smile on his face as I write this. Come here, if anything for the experience.

Diner Review №55

Super duper cute. Homey feeling place.

Only takes cash though.

Diner Review №56

Amazing food. I will return. Thanks Chef!

Diner Review №57

Diner Review №58

Loved it so much here we ate from Prince&I twice during the weekend! Yut runs the show and is so welcoming and friendly, it’s hard to not gravitate towards this homey space filled with his personal touch. His menu is well thought out and curated. He shared with us that he’s carb-conscious which is why there’s buckwheat, mixed rice and rice vermicelli in the menu. I tried everything here but the crab cakes and buckwheat crepe stood out the most to me. The side kale salad is also super yummy!

Diner Review №59

Diner Review №60

The food is so unique and the flavors go together so well. The food isn't overly sweet or salty compared to other places, it's just right! It's a one man show, so it will take a minute to get your order and cook it, but it's worth the wait! The pad thai is one of my favorites, and I really love the quinoa in the drinks!

Diner Review №61

Diner Review №62

Hidden gem. We just came across this place by chance and food was great and so different than regular Thai places. Everything was done with care and only one person was doing everything! He had okra in noodle soup and I can’t believe I am saying this, but it was delicious! BYOB place, so next time we are coming with some B :)

Diner Review №63

Definitely the most unique and flavorful Thai experience I've ever had. Keep an open mind and enjoy the flavors. Owner is very passionate about the food and it shows

Diner Review №64

Really makes you reevaluate your standards for food and what counts as A tier food. Love the one man kitchen concept

Diner Review №65

Delicious food, great service, and very friendly guy.

Diner Review №66

Delicious food made with love by a competent and passionate person. This is a must try hidden gem.

Diner Review №71

Such a good little place , with fresh delicious food , I love this place

Diner Review №72

This place is the a textbook hidden gem! I love the quaint atmosphere friendly and welcoming chef this feels like dining at someone’s home and flavor so well thought out and makes me so exited to return don’t miss out on this!

Diner Review №73

Amazing food and hospitality!!

Diner Review №74

Food was great, and the host is super sweet!! Must try!!

Diner Review №75

After reading all the positive reviews, I decided to give this charming restaurant a try. Upon entering, I was pleasantly surprised by the immaculate cleanliness, though the minimalist decor caught me off guard. As I pondered whether I was in the right place, the owner, Mr. Vichkulwrapan, greeted us with such warmth that it instantly put a smile on my face - a rare and welcome experience in today's dining scene.
Despite some mixed reviews about the food, I can confidently say that this place serves some of the most exquisite Thai cuisine I've ever tasted. The flavors are bold, authentic, and truly unforgettable, easily rivaling my previous favorite, V{IV}. We ordered the Tom Yum chicken noodle soup and the crab cake Pad Thai, both of which were absolutely delicious.
Mr. Vichkulwrapan's friendly demeanor, boundless energy, and genuine happiness are infectious, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience. His passion for his craft is evident in every aspect of the food. It’s presented very well and the flavors really burst in your mouth.
It's worth noting that as a one-man operation, the service may require a bit of patience. For those in a hurry, calling ahead for takeout is an option. However, I strongly recommend dining in to fully appreciate the atmosphere and interact with the delightful owner.
this little restaurant is a true hidden gem.

Diner Review №76

This may have been the best Thaibfoodni have ever had. The owner/chef might also be the hardest working man I have ever met. Instant favorite, will definitely be going back.

Diner Review №77

Now we can see what the hype is all about!!! The best bad thai we have had in so long!!!

We had the shrimp and beef pad Thai.

Both were so so good!

The guy running the place adds to the experience for sure. 1 man show and he is like the nicest guy!! A real gem 💎

Diner Review №80

I recently dined at a fantastic restaurant where I had the pleasure of trying their beef pad thai, and it was an exceptional experience. The dish was a symphony of vibrant colors and bold flavors that perfectly balanced sweet, tangy, and savory notes. Each bite was a testament to the chef's skill and attention to detail, with fresh ingredients and expertly crafted seasoning making every mouthful delightful.

Beyond the delicious food, the experience was elevated by the warm hospitality. The boss was incredibly kind, friendly, and engaging, creating an inviting atmosphere that made the meal even more enjoyable. I will definitely return to this gem of a restaurant and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an outstanding dining experience.

Diner Review №81

Want to thank the chef / owner for the wonderful pad thai I had. Gotta admire someone who is doing this all by himself!

Diner Review №82

Diner Review №83

Amazing hole-in-the-wall spot! As the other reviews allude to, this is a one man show: the man running the restaurant is a generous, eccentric server and an incredibly talented cook. The pad thai is unique and quite good, but the star for me was the Thai black noodle soup (with beef) topped with a perfectly cooked poached egg --- so flavorful and wonderfully spicy!

Diner Review №84

Walked by this place several times and have been wanting to try due to the unique menu. Did not disappoint. The one man show was an excellent host and the food did not disappoint. Very sweet man who clearly works hard.
The portions were quite large and the flavors were really unique. We tried the crepe since it was both new to us- it was fun- I personally love cheese so it was a no brainer to try. Will come back in the winter for the soup.
Give it a shot, why not!

Diner Review №85

Was so pleasantly surprised with this meal! Absolutely delicious and will be bringing friends here from out of town. Really unique and tasty!

Diner Review №86

It’s a one-man show, and I’m not exaggerating when I say he does absolutely everything on his own. Yet, he prepares and plates each dish with a level of consistency and care that you’d expect from a whole team of chefs. Truly incredible.

Diner Review №87

Great unique spot for savory Thai food!

Diner Review №88

I love Thai Food and until today, I have never eaten Thai food I did not love. The food was barely edible. I ordered the Pad Thai and it taste like bad candy. Since the food I was served, if you can call it food, was so bad, cannot understand how the restaurant has a 4.7 rating, which had to have been faked. Having been a professional painter and contractor, I can say the work that was done on the place was atrocious and while it was clean there were no real decorations and the music that was playing was godawful Thai pop.

Diner Review №89

It’s not your typical Thai place, but it was an incredible, one-of-its-kind experience. Just make sure everyone in your group understands it’s not the pad Thai they’re used to.

Diner Review №90

Made with love. BYOB

Diner Review №91

Crepe was creative and fun. Crab cake for $21 was pretty reasonable. Definitely a 1-person show. Love the owner's energy. Hours might not be as listed.

Diner Review №92

The Crab Cake Pad Thai was delicious and had a perfect balance of spicy and tangy flavors. The Tom yum curry soup was delectable. The chef was friendly and attentive. Will come back!

Diner Review №93

Wow, such a hidden gem this was! It’s a one man show, and he does it so well! The food was extremely flavorful, and the even the presentation was really nice given it’s just 1 person doing everything! Highly highly recommend!!

Diner Review №94

This is a must try.

The food is so flavorful and so delicious. The owner/chef plated it so beautifully. We had the kaow soi noodle soup and the pad thai and ended up drinking every last sip of the noodle soup. The food isn’t the typical Thai cuisine. Yet, prices are very reasonable. The menu can be hard to read and the location hard to find without a sign outside. However, please do yourselves a favor and step in.

The owner is so nice and endearing. He is very passionate about the food and providing an attentive service. Really felt like an uncle cooking you a meal in his kitchen as he takes both the orders and cooks it in the back.

We’ll be back more times for sure. The food and the staff are exceptional.

Diner Review №95

Truly unique place with delicious food. The small menu offers interesting options, I had the tomyum, which was amazing, and I can't wait to go back to try the other options. The host/owner/chef does it all on his own and is very engaged

Diner Review №96

There is a lot of potential for this restaurant to grow and expand. A hole in the wall but the food is amazing

Diner Review №97

What an incredible place!

I had the pad thai with salmon, and it was incredible. The portions were great, and we didn't have to wait very long. The food is truly out of this world, and actually quite cheap too.

The owner is incredibly friendly and enthusiastic and seems to run the place mostly by himself.

You HAVE to try this place. I'll be coming back.

Diner Review №98

Pad Thai with a kick! Loved the food. Tastes nothing like the standard Thai food.

Diner Review №99

It was delicious.

Diner Review №100

Wow… stuffed, satisfied, happy:) An amazing experience all around … highly recommend. The man who cooks and runs this restaurant is so sweet and made us feel amazing right when we walked in !

Diner Review №101

This is truly a hidden gem of Jersey city! Food is very delicious and flavorful. We had the BEST pad Thai and khaw sao.

Diner Review №102

Diner Review №103

Literally the best Thai food I've ever had. I don't think I can go eat anywhere else. The Japanese Mackeral Pad Thai and the Soup Noodle curry were delicious. Looking forward to going back again.

Diner Review №104

Diner Review №105

This place is a one man show! The food was so fresh and tasty - I got the pad Thai with crab cake. Can’t wait to go back again.

Diner Review №106

Diner Review №107

I walked in and an eccentric, small framed man energetically greeted me. He handed me a complimentary bottle of water. He was literally a one-man show. Cooking, serving, running around the restaurant... everything.

I ordered the pad Thai with shrimp. It was incredible. Tangy, creamy, sweet, savory, zesty, peppery, nutty, and not too spicy. Mild spice level. The best pad Thai I’ve ever had.

I have never tasted pad Thai like it before. It was like high end, elevated, Thai comfort food. Explosion of flavors in my mouth. HIGHLY recommend this place.

The restaurant filled up immediately. Hidden Thai gem of Jersey City.

Diner Review №108

BYOB location offering a spin on Thai cuisine. Its a one-man show, so expect that your server is also your chef which makes this place feel very wholesome. Ordered the Crepes which were great for the first few bites but then overwhelming as I continued to eat. The Pad Thai was really good though

Diner Review №109

Delicious food served and prepared by one of the nicest individuals I've met in Jersey City. It's a one man show but we were in and out quickly, and the food is super tasty! Spicy but balanced, tons of flavor, and good-sized portions. The best Thai food we've had yet in the area.

Diner Review №110

Such a cute little place. Little is definitely a key word! But don't let that stop you from visiting - food was amazing! I got the crepe with veggies and tofu (vegetarian)! Delicious! It's a one man show - guy is your host, waiter, cook, everything - he does it all!

Diner Review №111

Amazing food (TOM YAM Noodle soup)
And the nicest owner
100% will come back again

Diner Review №112

Good food and friendly chef

Diner Review №113

Food is always a fusion with lots of sauces. It's the Sriracha or spicy sauce blend with mayonnaise so won't go wrong.

We ordered pad Thai which served with meehoon and the famous pancake which was delicious. Lots of JPop which was good.

The food is served very slow I guess there's only one person as the server and cooked?

Happy to return again.

Diner Review №118

Diner Review №119

Diner Review №120

The food is very authentic Thai food. It is not the watered down version that we usually find here in America.

Diner Review №121

Diner Review №122

Such a thoughtful and wonderful dining experience, love the owner. Food was so original and flavorful

Diner Review №123

This eatery presents an intriguing Thai and Japanese fusion, deviating from traditional Thai dishes with a distinctive twist. I sampled the Pad Thai, which melds Thai sourness with a hint of Japanese sweetness. While I found the dish a tad too sweet for my taste, it was manageable.

The restaurant operates as a one-man show, with the owner single-handedly hosting, serving, bussing, and cooking. His welcoming presence and constant smile were the highlights of my visit.

Despite the enjoyable experience, the unique flavor profile didn’t quite suit my palate, so I likely won’t return for the food.

Diner Review №124

Definitely not your average Thai restaurant. The whole restaurant feels like a one-man passion project, and I mean that in the most earnest way. Don't go in expecting the dishes to be whipped up instantly, but the creative food and friendly service is absolutely worth the wait.

Diner Review №125

Really love the food! Not the typical Thai food I expected but turned out to be so good! The owner/chef/server is very nice and it’s truly a one-man show. Definitely recommend

Diner Review №126

Honestly kinda skeptical walking in but they’re making preparations to move to a new location!! Great service, food was amazing (soup was mild spicy which worked for me). I would definitely go again

Diner Review №127

The crepes are incredible

Diner Review №128

To be honest, I am kind of shocked at the extremely good reviews. We picked up a crepe, soup, and pad thai from here. I don’t love to negative leave reviews, particularly for a mom and pop type place; however, this is the first meal I’ve had in years that was so bad to the point where we threw it out.

I came into this knowing it wouldn’t be traditional Thai cuisine and wanted to give it a shot bc of the great reviews. The pad thai was drenched in an extremely sour sauce. The quantity of sauce and sour flavor was so overpowering I had a few bites and could not continue. The pork belly had a springy texture, neither crunchy nor tender. And everything came just completely drenched in various overpowering red sauces.

I wanted to share this review for future people who may want to give it a chance based on the large volume of great reviews. I guess I’m in the minority but I genuinely wondered after we tossed the food if we were the ones who were crazy and how there could possibly be so many fantastic reviews.

All I can say is we are really not picky eaters and love almost all cuisines and this was the first meal in a long time we felt the meal was inedible. Take with that what you will…

Diner Review №129

Too much wait time..Food was okay

Diner Review №130

The man is a genius. Best food in Jersey City. A hidden gem for sure

Diner Review №131

Diner Review №132

The owner is the greatest chef/host/waiter/guy I’ve ever met. 12/10 would recommend.

Diner Review №133

Single person venture, considering that, outstanding.
Food was great, wish it could be faster, but understandable.

Diner Review №134

I love their soup, it has the balance. Smoothies is quite creative.

Diner Review №135

This place was phenomenal. The service was great and the owner explained the menu before we ordered. I think about this Pad Thai A LOT. A different take from your usual pad Thai, and absolutely worth trying.

Diner Review №136

Easy to accidentally overlook this restaurant since the storefront looks like an old deli, but the man who runs the whole restaurant is a very good cook with a unique personality. I highly recommend the berry rice bowl and the kao soi noodle soup. Note, almost all his dishes are spicy but definitely worth going. One of my favorite spots in this city

Diner Review №137

Diner Review №138

Best one man show.

Diner Review №139

I have walked by this place so many times and now regret every time i didn’t go in and eat. This place should and will likely be featured on tv or NY times very soon because the food is absolutely incredible.

The owner, Yude (sp?), runs the place entirely by himself. He gives you the warmest welcome and has genuine excitement when he explains his menu to you. Then he takes your order and goes back to cook it for you. He uses only high quality (and unique) ingredients, no cheap oils, etc. You can tell he is so proud of his food and for good reason. He makes you smile and you’ll feel incredible about the whole experience. I had the red curry and my friend had Tom yam with mackerel. I’m already looking forward to going back.

Diner Review №140

Diner Review №141

Great service and great food!!! The owner is really passionate about his restaurant and cares a lot about the food. Definitely give it a try. You won't regret it!

Diner Review №142

Really enjoyed the pad Thai (with chicken) and the crepe (with salmon).

The chef/owner did warn us of the spicy level of the pad Thai and it was mild enough for me and was very good, especially with the citrusy kale salad it comes with. The savory crepe had a pleasant flavor and texture.

The restaurant is clean and cozy inside, good for a casual meetup of friends.

Diner Review №143

Good place

Diner Review №144

I was hesitant to dine here as the menu was very different than any Thai restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I'm here on vacation and only have 4 nights available for dinner. I will probably be going back again tonight as we leave for home tomorrow. The owner is a one man show. I love supporting small businesses, especially when an owner makes such an effort to serve high quality food. After our meal we told him how much we loved the food. That meant so much to him!!!!

Diner Review №145

Delicious!!!!! Hands down the best Pad Thai I’ve had.

Diner Review №146

This newly opened spot is truly a one-person show. A lone individual there to take your orders, whip up your dishes, and serve you. Kindly, exercise a bit of patience, but let me tell you, the cuisine is unique and absolutely worth the wait. Our selection included curry, rice, and noodles, and each dish was freshly made, beautifully presented, and simply delightful. It might be a fantastic choice for takeout if you're not keen on lingering for service at your table. While the ambiance is decent, I have faith it will only improve over time. The pricings are very reasonable with quality and quantity. The proprietor of this establishment is incredibly amiable and warm. Without a doubt, it's a place worth either ordering from or dropping by.

Diner Review №147

WOW not for the ambiance but for the food the service and the Prince himself 🥂

Diner Review №148

Every time I come back to Jersey City I come back here. The food here is unlike any Thai food you've had - it's uniquely the style of the owner. It's always delicious and beautifully plated.

The mackerel crepe blew our minds, I really don't know how to describe it you just have to try it. The salad that comes with it is not just pretty but has a delicate citrus flavor that goes well with the cheesy savory flavor of the crepe.

The shop is run by just one man who does all of the service and cooking himself. He's super nice but often does not have time to give attentive service. Be prepared to wait especially if you have a big party but to be honest I don't come here for the service I come here for the mind-blowing food that's worth the wait!

Diner Review №149

I am very lucky that my friend found this place randomly one day after a late night movie show back in 2022. Everything on the menu is very delicious and the one man show, owner-cook-server gave a sweet vibe while having the food. I would highly recommend stopping by and trying everything and anything on the menu, its yummy and flavorful.

I recently visited this place again and nothing has changed expect that he has few family/friends for help at serving. This time I had the Tom Yam soup with Chicken which was so flavorsome and delicious. Second, I had Crepe with pan seared salman and it was while different experience. It has sweet and spicy taste and I feel its the best Crepe I ever had. He adds mango, beet and quinoa to it along with the spicy thai dressing.

The menu is hard to read first but he has kept it as-is for years for a reason. Eventually you will end up reading the whole menu (its small) and there is no single item that is popular every item on the Main course menu is the best.

You can choose this place for a date or a catch up if you are looking for a less loud place with some subtle music and lovely food.

This quirky little joint is a diamond in in the rough. Food is Thai with a the chef's own spin. It is delicious. Don't sleep on this place.

The guy who owns this place in a one man army! Great energy and great food! Definitely coming back

Diner Review №156

Worst experience ever in Thai restaurant. This is not a restaurant this is Sham!!!!!!.It is small place with no furniture and nothing as to be called a restaurant. Rudest waitress/waiter or cook. Bland Food. Overcharged items. There are only 2 waiters and one of them is cook. Everything is pre-made and taste is just bland. And nonr of these know how to talk with customer. The guy/cook talks into your face and wouldnt be ready to replace meat with Tofu and still would charge me 20$ for the bowl.If I ask for sauces or salt-pepper the waitress says "Nooo" in the face and so I go to the cook to ask for it and he gives and the waitress is still rude and insulting because I get the salt pepper anyhow.
Jersey city outsiders please don't come here , it is place should be negative reviews but since JC Has less Thai bowl curry places people are highly reviewing or may be it is just a scam. I recommend you not to go and if you do go, please call out these loosers infront of them into that waitress/waiters face who are plain blatant un-welcoming and has no manners. The only thing is they Garnish the food well that's it and waiter/cook seems to be cooking in unhygienic conditions. Please stay Away!!!!

Such an incredible experience! Our biggest enjoyment is a local, delicious meal and this hit every mark! Never would have expected such great food, environment and passion in Jersey City. Worth the visit for anything on the menu!

Diner Review №159

Really cool resturaunt! Food is amazing - got pad thai and the crepe birth are awesome!

Diner Review №160

Echoing all the other reviews - phenomenal food (the crab cake in particular was amazing), excellent service from the one employee who acts as host, server, chef, and busser. Since he is the only employee, he can get overwhelmed quickly - you might be waiting a while if there are a lot of diners there.
To help anyone reading to understand the menu - basically you pick a "base" (crepe, one of three types of soup noodle, pad thai, or wild rice) and then choose your protein. For whatever reason, the protein list for pad thai and for rice is lumped together at the bottom. The "rice berry" name is also confusing, it doesn't actually have berries nor is it sweet. It's basically a red/purple mix of different types of rice, and it's good.
Also note that it's not a typical pad thai - the chef uses angel hair pasta, and a different blend of flavors. The man is from Thailand but does his own spin on pad thai (and it works).
The sweets/dessert side of the menu is also inert. I believe the owner said he offered them in the first week of business, but quickly found it overwhelming (can't blame him). At least on the day I went, he didn't offer anything from that side of the menu.
Overall, a very hole-in-the-wall feeling, which is often where you find the best food, and that is certainly the case here. Give it a try if you're in the area, just expect to have to wait a bit especially if it's a busy night.

Diner Review №161

One of the best unique thai place in Jersey city managed by a single person. Food is extremely tasty, must try the crepes with your choice of protein. Perfectly balanced taste snd portions are good as well. I would love to go again and again.

Diner Review №162

Not the typical Thai restaurant. Their menu is hard to read. There’s a weird odor inside the restaurant.

Diner Review №163

Absolutely fantastic hole in the wall restaurant - the single guy who runs it was super kind and accommodating and the food (crab cake pad Thai and shrimp noodle soup) was to die for!!! So good - definitely my favorite restaurant in JC and Thai place in general!!

Diner Review №166

Amazing Thai fusion food! Have come here twice now and each time left very satisfied with the food. We got the Pad Thai and Kow Soi Noodle Soup. Flavorful and fresh, please know there is one man running the show (host, waiter, and chef) so be patient but it is definitely worth the wait. The chef and owner is very friendly and helpful with recommendations. Will keep coming back!

I don’t write reviews too often but I have some time after my meal and it was just really good. Things I liked:
-Short list of items on the menu. This guy cooks what he’s good at and nothing else.
-Super casual. Easy access. No frills. I’m a fan of this type of place.
-Great service. Pretty sure the server is the owner, and might be the cook as well lol. He was very attentive and smiled at all customers equally
-Free bottle of water when I sat down
-Pay with Venmo or Zelle. Screw the CC companies! (Even though I’d have gotten 3X points on meals lol)
-The taste. The taste is so good until the last bite. Great portion control.

I’ll come here again. Heck, I’ll even bring a friend and be like, “yo there’s this Thai spot in JC. Trust me bro.” It’s just that satisfying.

Absolutely delicious Thai food, possibly the best Pad Thai I’ve ever had, and the cheesecake crepe was super delicious too. Everything was very fresh and beautifully presented. It’s a hole in the wall, one man operation, and he’s super friendly and provides great service. Clean inside too.

Diner Review №174

Friendly owner and the food is fantastic. It is Japanese and Thai fusion dishes. Note that the restaurant is only open for dinner.

Great place to dine in Jersey City. It might not be open even if it says it's open on google maps, because it's run by one person. I love the Tom Yam noodles.

Prince & I is an experience. The owner is charismatic and passionate, with a very personal menu. The food is excellent and you should let him guide you. It’s a hole in the wall that really should be better known, a gem of Jersey City.

Prince and I's food speaks for itself. No review does it justice

Diner Review №195

This place is definitely very creative on the menu for Thai food. I tried the crepe and it was great. The owner is a one man show. He is a chef and a waiter and the only one running the restaurant. It’s very plain inside and it’s mainly about the food. It’s definitely the epitome of hole in the wall with very unusual menu items but they’re very good. Loved the food and creativity in the dishes!!!

Diner Review №196

I always go for the Pad Thai with Crab cake. What a different and tasty take on Thai food. It’s one person working the restaurant who happens to be both owner and chef. But he also happens to be an artist. With such an eclectic individual, you can really see and taste the colorful influence in his dishes. For example, the noodles he uses for his Pad Thai are thin buckwheat noodles I believe. According to the chef, it absorbs more of the flavor and let’s him play with the different profiles versus the typical noodles used for Pad Thai. With that being said, I’m definitely going to keep coming back!

Small Hole in the wall place.
You don't even see a sign outside. I drove by it and didn't realize it was the place.
Would recommend pad Thai.
Owner is the chef.
Cash or venmo are accepted forms of payment.

Love the food but the hours are off. Seems to be closed every time I drive by when it says open on Google
