Casual Thai eatery offering traditionally spicy fare alongside Siam-brewed beers.
First time here, my cousin recommended. We ordered the Chicken Satay, Garlic Beef, Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Red Curry Chicken, and a salad dish. Overall, the taste was good but the beef was killed 4 times over and the noodles were a bit too soft they were almost mushy. The service was great though. She was friendly and helpful as we have a person with some sesame and peanut allergy. The host gave us mango with sweet rice on the house. Now that was delicious.
This restaurant has by far the best thai food I've ever had (and their portions are huge). My favorite item on the menu is the Guay Teow Rad Prig; it comes with tons of sauce and is extremely flavorful. Their fried ice cream is also a family favorite. I've also tried the mango sticky rice, which is very good. I highly suggest coming here!
I hope the owner writes back soon because we used to love this place and go for casual dinner quite often. We called around 8:30pm to put in a to-go order. Over the phone, my husband specifically checked if they were okay with taking our order before reading off the list. A lady picked up the call with an attitude, but said they could still make our order, as long as we put it in before 8:55pm. First we put in order for Pad See Ew. She asked what meat we wanted. My husband paused for just 1 second, the lady immediately said “you don’t know what meat you want? I cannot wait on the phone all night for you.” Okay, I guess we got some nice waitress here. We wanted the N13. Red Curry Seafood Noodle Soup, and the lady immediately said they never had such an item on their menu. Once my husband told her the item number from their own website, the lady said: “It was a lunch only item.” Please look at the screenshot - I found it from their “Regular Menu.” Clearly, we got some waitress who is so familiar with their own menu here. Then, my husband tried to order my favorite duck curry for me. The lady said “we only do duck in tamarind sauce.” My husband tried to tell her two times previously we ordered duck from them, we tried it in Penang Curry once, and green curry once, both were extremely delicious and impressive. Guess what? She immediately called my husband a liar. Okay, please see my picture here - GREEN CURRY DUCK. Who is the liar here? This waitress, you can go and have a very good night. We do not need such confrontational behavior in our neighborhood. Until we get an explanation from the owner, we, and all of friends and colleagues, are not going back. Try us!!!
The food is amazing and the drinks are cool a without being expensive. I’ve eaten here multiple times and it never disappoints. The staff is so friendly too when you ask them questions about the dishes. I came here for a big family dinner once and sampled a lot of the menu and everything was amazing!
It’s not a fancy restaurant. It’s been around for a long time. The food was always delicious but very spicy. Be aware of your spicy tolerate level. At times food came out spicier than it should be.
We had Tom yum soup, chicken satay, guay teow neau sub, and puck ruam mit sate. All were wonderful and delicious.
The soup was great for a somewhat chill night. I love the peanut sauce of sate. Puck ruam mit sate was light.
The portion was generous.
This place is my favorite place to get Thai food in Central Jersey. When they tell you that the spice level of their dishes is Thai spicy then you know that their food is going to be authentic!
Ambiance
- plenty of seating
- spacious
- dog friendly
Service
- friendly waiters
- food came to the table quickly
Food
- fried calamari- Chrispy in the outside and juicy and slightly chewy on the inside. The sauce was tangy and sweet. Loved this appetizer!
- Green Curry and white rice, mild- just enough heat for me! This dish is packed with veggies- Thai eggplant, bamboo shoots, red bell pepper, onions. The portion is huge- I got 2.5 servings out of this dish. Rice was warm and fluffy.
I've come here multiple times to dine-in and takeout and I'll definitely be back!
This is my go-to Thai spot, and I use it as the benchmark for all other Thai restaurants. The Tom Yum Soup here is my absolute favorite, with a perfect balance of flavors. The Chicken Pad Thai is also top-notch, consistently delicious. The service is exceptional—super friendly and attentive. Plus, the restaurant maintains a clean and welcoming environment. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great Thai food!
This place is 10/10! The staff is so kind and helped us choose the right foods to enjoy. All of the food was delicious, the service was great, and a nice environment. Highly recommend!!!

Super kind staff and great food!

Delicious! We've been coming for years and are never disappointed. Plenty of food, reasonable prices. Spiciness to your preference, and varied menu
whenever you need comfort this is the most wonderful place to eat pad thai. It is casual and made with love
The food is amazing and the drinks are cool a without being expensive. I’ve eaten here multiple times and it never disappoints. The staff is so friendly too when you ask them questions about the dishes. I came here for a big family dinner once and sampled a lot of the menu and everything was amazing!
My favorite Thai restaurant, and actually the first place I ever had Thai food back in college. I feel like nothing has lived up to their Pad Thai no matter where I’ve had it this is the best one out there and I’ve had dozens of others. Prices are great too, can’t recommend it enough if you’re in the mood for Thai.

Big portions for price
I went to Pad Thai for the first time two weeks ago now and have already been back twice. I love the drunken noodles. They are so flavorful and fresh. The staff is so friendly and my food was ready in a timely manner. I definitely recommend.
This is a great Thai place. What I love about it is the very expansive menu. Many more options than you find at a typical Thai restaurant. All the dishes are delicious. Been coming here since 2005.
Decent food with competitive prices for lunch menu, great vegetarian options
One of the best Thai restaurants in NJ. Amazing food and friendly service.
This is my go-to casual Thai place. Big menu with lots of options, all Thai. Quick service. No-frills atmosphere makes a good, casual spot for consistently solid Thai food at a good value.
Parking in the area is a wee hassle. I typically dine there on Sunday eve because street parking is more available as compared to Fridays and Saturdays.
This place used to be my favorite thai place in the area. Idk what happened sometime last year but it’s just never been the same. The food in my massaman curry seemed like it was frozen and reheated. The chicken was overcooked and chewy. The potatoes were undercooked and starchy. I used to LOVE this place, but unfortunately I cannot say the same about its current state
We have been going to Pad Thai for years. It's a family favorite! We went again for Mother's Day and as usual they did not disappoint. The food was fresh and delicious. The service was prompt and courteous. It's a bit pricey but the food is worth it! If you're a fan of Thai food, check out this place. You won't be disappointed!
Great for Vegan vegetarian as well. Awesome food
This is my favorite restaurant in Highland Park! It’s not fancy, but is instead nice and cozy—which I prefer. The food is great, the service is good, and they even have fun cocktails. Everything is very reasonably priced.
Awesome food for the price. Very attentive to customer's requests and answered any questions we had. Definitely will come back. Highly recommended.
The food here is amazing. I highly recommend the Pad Mei Prig King (I think it’s called). The service is quick and I always get seated right away. After ordering your food, the wait is about 10 - 15 minutes. Appetizers I always get are the steamed pork dumplings and beef satay. The atmosphere is chill, and there is always either a bustling business, with most tables filled, or nice and quiet. Even with the restaurant busy, there is still a TV with news and a quiet-ish atmosphere.
Amazing soup 🍜
Excellent Thai food, many more options than a traditional Thai restaurant. They do a fantastic job with vegetarian and gluten free options and will moderate the spice level from no spice at all to extreme. They are incredible knowledgeable and kind.
Not fancy but this hole in the wall has not only a liquor license but the best spicy Thai food for an hour in any direction. The Duck, the Pad Thai, the zombies, the flavor! Chefs kiss 💋
They have many varieties of fried rice, which I have mostly tried. They taste similar to each other. Regardless, I've never had a bad experience ordering fried rice. The only thing is that you should order ahead. If you order on site, you could wait up to 30 minutes for your order.
We have tried so many Thai restaurants in Nj but this is by far the best. It’s not fine dinning but you can’t beat the taste, portion and the price
Great food so fresh.
So far the best thai fooood ever!
The curry is so goood, super spicy and delicious!
Pad thai noodles were out of the world!
🤌🏻
As someone who has been to Thailand 6 times, this place is as close as you’ll get to the real thing. Amazing each and every time.
This is our long standing favorite thai restaurant. Delicious authentic thai flavors. My personal favorite is the pad see ew, but I also love their curries. Spice levels are NO JOKE! Even as a lover of spicy food, I can hardly get more than the medium level.
I always get their calamari appetizer. Large pieces, crunchy and paired with that sweet chili sauce. Love it!
The best Thai food is only here. I love this restaurant. Crispy roast duck is so delicious🤩
This was my go-to Thai spot for a while. Despite the fact that I also frequent quite a few other spots in the area, I usually find myself drawn back here because of it's atmosphere, quality food, and low prices. While I can say that the quality of the food and the small-restaurant atmosphere is still very much there, the food has gotten quite a bit more expensive in recent times. It has made it harder to choose this spot as my go-to, but if I'm already in Highland Park and I don't want to drive further, I do still come here.
As long as you check the prices beforehand, you will have a good meal and experience here. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Used to be really good, but the Pad Thai was off the mark today. Way too sweet and watery. Staff insisted that it was fine not really caring about the customer experience. Won't be going back.
It was really spicy the chicken dumplings were disgusting and the noodle soup was also spicy and the noodles were. like spice stikes
Wow this place has declined immensely. Was last here in 2018 and at that time was great
Food was absolutely terrible. Everything was clearly frozen and warmed up again.
On top of that they charge 18% gratuity regardless of party size. We were two people and had 18% gratuity added. The woman at the front said it’s because “people don’t tip anymore” and they likely don’t tip anymore because of the terrible quality. She also said “every restaurant in nyc does this”. No. Most places in nyc do not charge you a minimum of 18% gratuity for two people
Terrible food. Terrible atmosphere. I feel bad for this once great restaurant. Absolutely terrible from food to service to how they cheat you.
DO NOT EAT HERE.
Great food great place one of the authentic Thai. My favorite been coming to this place from 2001. Food is consistent.
Best Thai food in town
Delicious Thai food 😋 😍
delicious everything
Very poor experience. We ordered medium spicy food for pick-up. I am an Indian and can handle spicy food, but this medium was at a level of spice I have never tasted before. When I called and asked to replace my food with a milder version, the person said I should mix coconut milk, but she won’t replace and that I should go to the restaurant next day and talk to owner. I didn’t waste my time on all that and just ordered from another thai place. Waste of time and money. I hope the owner reads this. No that I am looking for any refund, but they should handle complaints better
Great lunch!
Their food is DELICIOUS! We got pad Thai and a chicken appetizer. Both were excellent! Can’t wait to go back.
Excellent Thai food. Great Vegetarian options as well

Horrible horrible experience, we walked out of the place..😤😡....went to eat with my family and sat on the Table for almost an hour & food did not show up. Others who came after us already got their food & we were still waiting. And when we were walking out after an hour, that's when the food came out, that also the Main course, not the appetizer. Such a horrible experience........Never going back again 😤😡. We complained on our way out and they had nothing to say
Not sure what happened to this place but I had been coming to Pad Thai in Highland Park for over 24 years but never had this kind of an experience before.
My family (Mom with a walker) and I are sitting here to be served for 55 mins now while 3-4 other tables have been served after we came in. Checked in at 7:30p on a Saturday Eve.
Waitress just came over to ask what we wanted. Not to mention I had to ask for the menu after sitting around for 15 mins.
Unacceptable!! So disappointed. We just left as it's 8:30p. 4//8/2023
Yo the most flavor food. Be careful when u say your ready for hot food. There spicy 🌶️ stuff . Will knock you off your set.
I promise.
It’s not a fancy restaurant. It’s been around for a long time. The food was always delicious but very spicy. Be aware of your spicy tolerate level. At times food came out spicier than it should be.

Great food for an amazing price! Been coming here for years best Thai food around
The mom and dad are literally sweetest people I've ever met. They showered us with love and quality food that other restaurants have been lacking since after the pandemic. The authenticity of the food, the attention they show for each order (starting from ordering it to receiving it), this place absolutely impressed me beyond measure. Will DEFINITELY come again here.
Best Thai food I’ve tried in NJ. The food runs authentically spicy. We wish we can come back more often.
Some of the best Thai food I've ever had. They make food spicier than anywhere else, which we love. Would highly recommend!!
I really love this place. Everything I've ordered from here is absolutely delicious. The owner's are SO friendly. Also-to my fellow spicy food lovers, this place brings the heat! Wonderful little spot, highly recommend.
Tremendous
My wife had the pad Thai (supposedly their biggest seller) and it had BBQ sauce in it. Yes, BBQ sauce. Guess they were out of tamarind? My pad kee Mao was great. Yhe pad Thai was returned and taken off the bill.
This place is authentic as it gets. Of you want good legit Thai food...this is the place to go! Believe me you will want to come back for more. My family's go to...
Food is incredible. Authentic and spicy with lots of options. We got medium spicy (and they warned me about it. I'm decent at handling spicy lol and it was good but I can see why they warn people). Would revisit and dine in when we can!
Authentic tasty Thai food! ขอบคุณมากนะครับ
They have the best best roast duck and the special sour sauce I like, all the best and nice people. Everyone should try this place.
It was my first Thai food experience the other day. And the waiter was so patient and friendly when I asked him how to pronounce the name of a dish. The food was delicious!! I can't wait to come back. 🧡
Alright, I tried this place a year ago and just wanted to give it another chance but as before I was disappointed. First of all if you ever lived in Thailand and ate authentic good Thai food this place is not for you. Their pad Thai was disappointing, it doesn't have all the elements that a normal pad Thai would have which is surprising to me because I think some staff is from Thailand. I ordered one appetizer and one main dish and it was 30$ which is a lot. Main dish portion was big but since it wasn't tasty I feel like it was a waste. Also the shrimp smell was a bit off.
Spice level at least fits the Thai food so be careful if you try them out the spicy option is actually spicy and it isn't American level of spicy. Get mild option if you cannot stand a lot of spice.
One of the best restaurants in NJ, really good food at reasonable prices!
Good Food and Service. I will definitely go back again
Last visited here about 15 years ago for my first thai food experience. The pad thai medium spice is still very spicy but it's much sweeter than other restaurants.
Pad Thai tua ruam mit is perfect for vegetarians. Mild.
Such great pad Thai and the Thai iced teas are so tasty
A large menu, plenty of vegetarian options, and one of the best Thai restaurants in central Jersey. Just be careful when you ask for spicy, they can make it really spicy.
I used to like them a lot before, but after Covid their prices have gone up and their food quality is not consistent. I ordered mild spicy Pad Thai Puck and it’s a lot spicier than it used to be and not as flavorful. Not sure if they changed chefs.
I have been eating food from pad Thai for decades, but stopped during COVID. Was really craving it today, what a disappointment, the noodle dish was over salted, barely any chicken and shrimp, very disappointing. I asked for pineapple fried rice, there is no fry to the rice, totally tasteless, both for over $35.00, what happened to your delicious food?
Very authentic and tastes amazing
Excellent food! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
Lovely pad Thai. I liked the amount of customization offered when ordering online. Be warned, spice levels are much hotter than you’d expect.
Best Thai around, great spicy levels
Good service. Tasty food
Very spicy and flavorful food. I forgot how spicy it was. We were warned medium is equivalent or even greater than spicy at other Thai restaurants. They could use a little internal remodeling but would eat there again
Great thai restaurant that is owned by Thai. Foods were authentic and tasted right. The dishes were very reasonably priced. I would definitely come back.
The fried rice here is impressive. I have been back multiple times for this one dish. The prices are reasonable. The staff is helpful and pleasant. The restaurant does not have designated parking, but free street parking was readily available during each of my visits. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Very quick and the food is delicious! Perfect amount of spicy
We went for lunch and they no longer have lunch specials. We ordered Pad Kee Mao, Seafood noodle soup, and fried tofu for appetizer. The Pad Kee Mao was totally delicious. The seafood soup was awesome, but the fish cake, fish balls, and mussels were not so great. The fried tofu was fried to perfection but the sauce was not impressive. Overall, I think this is a great Thai restaurant with good service. I will come back again.
Great food, great service, our Friday night go-to.
I got Flat rice noodles with dark meat chicken, my girlfriend got the pad thai, I mean at a place called Pad Thai© one of us has to right? It was delish! The spicing scale is interesting, they don't do one to five it's about 8 options, I got advanced mild and was not disappointed. It had a decent kick! No face sweat but you got a good hit of chili paste and hoisin sauce. I'd go back next time I'm in Highland Park.
HE WARNED US: I came here with my bf because I desperately wanted Tom Yum soup and Green Curry. When the waiter came to take our order, we asked for a Thai Iced tea, a Pineapple Bomb (alcoholic), Fried Pork Dumplings and a Tom Yum with white meat chicken (spicy level, large enough to share with 2-4 people). For entrees, I got Green Curry (spicy level) and he got something from the fried rice menu (also spicy). Our waiter asked if we were sure about the spice, since their food is spicier than most. My bf and I both feel like we’re amazing at handling spice. So, we were both feeling equally cocky about the spice level and excitedly told the waiter that we wanted it.
Tom Yum (spicy): It hurt to eat, but we both thought it was still yummy. The soup coated our tongue and lips, providing a lasting burn. I don’t sweat when eating spice, but my bf started sweating thick bullets immediately. I had to slow down with eating the soup. We were only able to finish half the soup, whereas I know I could finish the whole thing by myself if the spice was more tolerable. The waiter/bartender was nice enough to give my bf a Mai Tai (unsolicited) since he was sweating and eyeshot from the soup. The waiter explained that the Mai Tai helps with the burn. It did. And it was good.
Pork Fried Dumplings: 6 pieces per order, the dumpling skin was thicker than I anticipated and reminded me of Bao that has been fried. I still liked it.
Green Curry (spicy): By the time I got to eating my entree, my mouth was still in slow burning pain from the soup. The green curry, which had a red color, was incredibly spicy too. I ate it very slowly. The waitress got us another pitcher of water and asked if I wanted to make my curry less spicy (by diluting it with coconut milk). Defeated, I say “yes please.”
While I wait for my entree to return, the waiter/bartender kindly gave me another iced tea and my bf another sample/half glass of Mai Tai, unsolicited! He’s so amazing. The waitress came back with my green curry, and now it’s actually green! It was so much more tolerable and so delish. When the waiter came around again, I asked what the new spice level was on this. He said mild to medium, or “mild plus.”
We took the rest our entrees and the soup to go. We were full from all the liquids it took to quench the fire.
At this point, I was full and super happy with their service. We were treated well and loved the complimentary drinks. The food was delish, even though we should’ve got the medium spice level from the get go. We were humbled this experience and we’ll be back. We’ll be ordering mild-medium.
We’ve been coming here for years and love the food here. We drive an hr here from the Jersey shore beach because its the best thai we’ve had. The owners are so nice and remember us each time we come. Great personality and always makes us laugh. He always offers us a mango from the fake mango tree and have us laughing. The food is always plenty for your money and the drinks are good too. Our favorite is their chicken pad thai and chicken satay. Sometimes their mild is hot so I order the spice on the side. Its a hit or miss with the spicy levels but the food never disappoints!
Very good food. The veggies were plentiful and fresh.
Huge menu! Great pad Thai. Will return.
The food was really good like always...love that little spot!! I'm giving 4 stars because the alcoholic drink i had was not so good....
Customer Service is Par Excellence! My favorite meal usually around lunch time, however, I eat a dinner Entree & that being Rep Snapper Fish in a Mild Ginger Sauce consisting of red peppers, green peppers, onions, mushrooms & babycorns w/a bowl of brown rice & a bowl of steamed broccoli accompanied by a picture of cold water & I ask for lemons. Banggin!!! Most delicious for those who don't understand the slang, smile.
Pretty good portions and taste! Price wasn’t half bad either.
Hi, first time having Thai food, The manager was very helpful to recommend us what to drink an eat. I Will go back.
I went there with my friends to have lunch. But service was horrible. Server was very rude and giving us the restrictions on how and where to sit.
Food was totally taste less. We ordered 4 items and all had the same taste. I WOULD NOT suggest anyone to go and waste time and money over there. I can understand that Food wasn't good but the server attitude was that put us off.
This place hands-down is one of the best places I have found in New Jersey. From Central to Franklin park, to South Jersey. I’ve tried quite a few. The closest I’ve ever found to this mouth watering quality was in New York City.
Funny story though about a not great place next town over : Recently, my job transferred me to the area. The one thing I was excited about, was that I could eat “ my favorite Thai food place again”… so I went online and ordered.
The food would come and it was completely different than I remembered. Like my favorite pad Kee Mao was all water down. Slimy….
I realized.. it WASNT PAD THAI I was ordering from all along.(my favorite past time place)… it was The Four Seasons, … bleck. They had copied the logo. Somehow the Uber app sort of confuse this. I did this THREE TIMES.. thinking it can’t be bad that many times.
So long story short I finally ordered from the GOOD place, “ PAD THAI”. The one in highland park NJ off 27.
Nothing changed all along and it’s still THE BEST Thai I can find, without driving over an hour away.
The lesson I took away from this? Read more carefully.
Make sure the place is CALLED “Pad Thai!!!!” They are not just good, they are EXCELLENT!
*Look how beautiful this pic is And FULL. The other place that fooled me, filled it HALF up, added water and charged more. In fact the garbage Four Seasons…? I’m pretty sure they gave me peanut sauce from stop and shop and watered down leftovers. ONLY order “PAD THAI…” ( sorry i had say it 5 times ) i swear you will not be disappointed. Huge difference between the two.
The best Thai restaurant I’ve ever been to 😊
My friend and I ordered the green curry beef, Pad See Eww with omelet on top (THEE BEST) and Thai basil fried rice. Everything came out delicious.
Nice friendly people and 🔥 food
Poor quality food. Even the Pad Thai, which should be simple, was sickly sweet, had no acid, and left a terrible aftertaste. I've eaten Pad Thai numberous times, this was by far the worst.
Overpriced - poor quality food
Good portion and great taste
Get the pad Thai, it’s in the name and they do it justice. Be warned that their spice levels are much higher than average, I can usually enjoy medium but here I have to stick to mild.
I went for lunch. What an authentic gem! Get a margarita and the chicken and also noodle dishes are amazing! Fair pricing plus great service! Best Thai I had in a good long while!
Our favorite Thai place. We have excitedly returned from Massachusetts, New Mexico and Virginia to eat here... And visit family.
Great food and great service.
Luv the food. Very tasty and spicy. My fav is pad kew mao.
They should mention to everyone that their medium is super spicy and spicy is very very very 10 time spicy. Waiter/Owner was very rude did not offer anything and was saying " Authentic" means real spicy 'Thai' , which I don't agree, many restaurants using that word. Also they charged 18% mandatory gratuity eventhough we were 5 people. Not mentioned anywhere in menu that they will charge 18% gratuity eventhough you are less than 6 people family.
Good food, broad menu. We like the cocktails too! The spice scale is NOT messing around. Medium spice is more than any spice fiend I know can handle.
Good Thai food recommended!
Clean good food very thai authentic recommended pad thai can be very spicy per order
Delicious!
Never had that before but really enjoyed it
Everything is great.
The food is amazing and the service is even better!
This may be my favorite restaurant ever. I go once a week and I don't even live in Highland Park anymore!
Great food and service!
Me and my best friend went here to get fried ice cream! It's so delicious. If you ever go here for food save room for dessert. And order the fried ice cream!!! I've also eaten here for dinner in the past. The food is very good.
I come in from NY as often as I can to eat here and it never disappoints. Best Thai food ever. The end. No more to say.
Very friendly staff, good portions and very authentic and tasty food .
Yummy food, friendly staff, being lgbt and my partner and I were very affectionate with each other , we felt very welcome and enjoyed our vist.
sorry for all the pda lol
we will be back :)
Great food, can never go wrong with Pad Prik king. Food is spicy so if you can't handle it stick with mild or no spice. I can handle spice, but here medium is all I can take.
