Thailand restaurant is located in a historic diner style building. It serves traditional thai food such as pad thai, various curries, basil fried rice, and different stir fried entrees. The menu can been seen on (https://www.menupix.com/menudirectory/menu.php?id=3009971)
Did not like the food. Ordered Pad Thai and pineapple fried rice separately, and somehow, they managed to make Pad Thai chicken with pineapple rice insideπ€·ββοΈπ. I usually love Pad Thai but did not like this one. It's made with tofu and curry. The Thai tea was horrible. Worse I ever had. I also did not like that our waiter was cleaning Basil on a table where customers walked by instead of in the kitchen. He was not wearing gloves, was serving us, and eating at the same time. He was friendlyπ€·ββοΈ. I would not recommend this place because of the unsanitary way they handle food and the way the food taste, but not everyone is the same. I explained my experience, and I hope you have a better one. I will say this for sure. Excellent presentation of food and the place was quaint and very well decorated.
P.S. if you zoom in on my 3rd pic that I posted. You will see a table with a blue jacket over the chair and Basil on it, close to the exit. I was not intentionally trying to take a pic of the Basil, but there is where they were cleaning it. Wide open in the dining Room. I will not be returning.
Loved my experience here. The food was so delicious! Really great vegetarian options too. I had the vegetarian steamed dumplings, chicken satay, and pad thai. For dessert I had the mango sticky rice which was heavenly! Incredible flavors and even better service. They have lunch specials too.
This is a hidden gem in the Clark community. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful experience at this cozy place. We had dumplings as an app (not pictured), pad thai, yellow curry and mango sticky rice.
I have ZERO complaints. The owner was our waiter and he was attentive and engaging to speak with. He elevated this experience from good to great.
Do not miss this one, you will have an amazing meal!
This restaurant had interesting history in 1955 opened up as one of the original diners and lasted in the same spot and then converted a Thai restaurant almost 20 years ago.
The best Thai food I have had in central New Jersey. I was lucky enough to come on Halloween and met a very colorful owner..
The traditional Thai dress is very similar to what I experience several visits to Thailand.
Lucky interestingly the original Thai tradition was carried over into the food.
The Thai food was cooked traditional style and itβs very hard to find that type of cooking in New Jersey. The food tastes exactly like it did in Thailand.
Cool spot. My wife and I have been before and decided to go for Mother's Day dinner. With our munchkin in tow, we had Thai wings and curry puffs for appetizers. For entrees, we both had noodle dishes, hers with shrimp and mine with beef. Our daughter had Satay chicken skewers. It is a byob. A cozy, clean diner style building on Central Ave in Clark, it was cool.
Love this spot for a quick and homemade meal of the Thai standards (never been to Thailand so my comparison is US based). We stopped in for a weekend lunch. Two soups, kha and yum, both delicious. Pang curry also very good. It was early and I was quiet. Love the dinning car vibe.
Drunken noodles and red curry is my go to. Foods always great. Workers are kind. Best Thai food in the area and the dining area is so cute.
Horrible. Food is atrocious . Inedible
Seriously question anyone who gave this place a review over a 2 star
Even in 20 degree weather, they wouldnβt turn the heat on in the restaurant.
Food tasted old/rotten. Calamari was disgusting and fishy immediately spit it out. Used to come here every couple months and was always decent. Never again.
Always love coming here, the food is so good!!

Food was good but for the love of god PLEASE provide utensils for delivery! Epically when itβs in the order notes!!!!!
The food is okay but the service was pathetic. Our server seemed to be in a rush and wasn't polite. First of all he served us the wrong dish, we asked for veg curry and we got meat in it. And after repeatedly calling the server to make it right, he didn't come. In fact no one came to our table after serving the food.
I wouldn't come again to this place, there are better Thai places around.
I started coming here around 2015, and ever since then, Iβve always made it a point that if Iβm driving by exit 135 and Iβm hungry to order takeout from here. It slaps. I have yet to find a place in NJ that compares. Pad thai: killer. Massaman curry: real spicy even at a medium level but I love it so much. Crab Rangoon: KILLER. Seriously, never disappointed, I hope this restaurant is here forever.
The owner lady sang to us. We laughed, we cried and we had fun.
The massaman curry and Thai curry puff is solid.
Food tastes like cheap Chinese takeout.
Spent $36 on two entres to be served what tastes like frozen food.
Ordered to go. If I ate in restaurant I would have sent it back to the kitchen.
Also I would like to add my order was Pad See Ew with beef. Once I opened my food it smelled and tasted like it had seafood in it.
Everything was great and home made. Tried drunken noodles it was awesome. Dumpling π₯ great. Tom yum soup π
Really good authentic food. Busy on the wkds. Portions have gotten smaller since COVID.
The level of service was outstanding. It was prepared to our preferences. My curry was just the right amount of spicy and wonderful.
Fantastic location! Very good cuisine at a very reasonable price. I had lunch there, and their lunch special is really affordable! The food was delicious and fresh. The quantities were generous and the spice level was good. would advise.
Nice spot for some refreshing and tasty thai food. It is a very vibrant and decorated. Service was quick and efficient. You can tell the employees take attention to detail in their orders. The employees are also respectful and helpful in helping you select what to order. I did not have to wait long to order and receive my food. Overall, I had an enjoyable experience thanks to the courteous staff and high quality products.
Service is attentive and knowledgeable, with positive staff members. They ensure a seamless dining experience. I recommend Massaman Curry, simmered in a rich, fragrant curry sauce with potatoes and peanuts and Mango Sticky Rice mango slices with sticky rice.
Great place! Very affordable and high quality food. I went in for lunch and their lunch special is a steal! Food was very fresh and tasty. Spice level was good and portions were large! would recommend.
Food is excellent, and service is good. Parking can be in the mall next to it and walking over.
Good chicken wings. Okay fried rice. Undercooked shrimp. Almost no attention. Depressed demeanor.

Great food! One gentleman handling lunch crew. Very polite. Service great! Good food. BEAUTIFUL OUTSIDE FLOWERS!!!!
Just really good Thai food.
Loved my experience here. The food was so delicious! Really great vegetarian options too. I had the vegetarian steamed dumplings, chicken satay, and pad thai. For dessert I had the mango sticky rice which was heavenly! Incredible flavors and even better service. They have lunch specials too.
I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at the restaurant. I called to replace the order and ask how long it would take to prepare, and the employee said it would be about 20 minutes. However, When I arrived to pick up my order, I was told that it had not yet started cooking. I had to wait for an extended period of time, which was frustrating and inconvenient. to make matters worse, when I opened my food at home, I realized that was not the order I had placed. This experience was absolutely terrible and I do not plan on returning to this restaurant again.
Honestly this was probably the worst customer service my husband and I have ever experienced. We originally ordered over the phone for takeout. We were told it would be ready in 10-15 minutes. Once we got to the place 20 minutes later, we found they did not even take our order, let alone write the name down. We had to wait another 30 minutes. After realizing I made a mistake on my order, my husband tried to get her attention and had to call her over multiple times only to get a βIβm busy I canβt helpβ for 15 minutes straight. And then when we wanted to cancel the order, she ignored my husband and told the cook to hurry and make the order so she can say no to cancelling it.
My wife and I dinned here for the first time after a church meeting, and it was a new found gem!
Service was very friendly and fast, the owner came out to greet us.
Tum Yum to start, egg roll was fabulous, and the Chicken Cashew, pls donβt skip on the βmango riceβ.
Great place, the door dash, and take out was NON STOP!
Good luck and blessed New Year !
Come and see, come and sit, come and taste their food.
JR
Everything I've had here is always spot on. Cozy atmosphere as well.
So good and beautiful place
The best Thai food around!!! Family business. Consistently Delicious food. I enjoy their cashew chicken, their pad Thai and the pad woon sen for a noodle dish. Even the kids enjoy the pad woon sen with egg rolls. Plus definitely try the Thai tea. The holiday specials look great!!
I want to go to try tortofu looking delicious.
Owner of restaurant is amazing person. She is full of energy and take care of you as family. Must visit place for Shu aka Aruni.
This place looks like an old diner converted to a Thai restaurant. Very good service and the taste is decent.
Cute little cozy place. The curry tasted good. I couldn't get steamed tofu in my green which I usually prefer . Soup was okay. The tofu in the soup didn't taste fresh.
Good food.

SO KIND I SAID I DIDNT HAVE ENOUGH AND HE GAVE ME SOME IN A MEDIUM CONTAINER!!!!!! Amazing food the perfect amount of flavor and thai basil in the food that just makes you want more and more!!!
Visited this restaurant on a Sunday evening after reading a bunch of mixed reviews and overall, we were not too impressed.
As we approached the restaurant, we noticed it was a former diner turned into a Thai restaurant. The restaurant itself has plenty of seating but the place definitely looks like it needs some work and updating. Once seated, noticed our table was sticky and there were bugs along the window.
My wife and I ordered the Vegetable Spring Rolls, Drunken Noodles with Tofu and Penang Curry with Tofu. The spring rolls were your typical rolls with not much excitement. The drunken noodles were extremely mushy/slimy and we were not the biggest fan. They did have flavor but the consistency of the dish threw us off, especially with just a few pieces of tofu. Also, we found egg shells in the noodles which was a turn off. The penang curry was tasty and probably the best thing we had. I also ordered a Thai Iced Tea which was probably one of the worst I have ever had. It tasted like watered down tea with absolutely no flavor.
Giving this place two stars mostly because of the customer service which is quick and attentive but the food is not so great.
This is our favorite Thai restaurant anywhere! The food is excellent and the service is impeccable. Ask for Sue, she is the best! My favorites are the curry puff and their new vegetable dumpling appetizer. For entrees I love the mixed vegetable dish, topped off with fried ice cream for dessert! We make it a point to come here whenever weβre in the area and will continue to come back.
NJ Best kept secret Thai Restaurants that are beyond amazing! The food the food did I say the food? The most tastiest freshest well thought out Thai dishes I think in the State of NJ. Situated in an old converted airstream diner it does not look like much from the outside. However, they made some nice renovations to the interior and the atmosphere is just clean comfortable spacious but still casual. Wait staff is clearly family and they care about you. Donβt miss this rare Thai experience that has something for every taste bud.
Do yourself a favor and order the yellow curry (I got mine with brown rice) when you eat here. It is INCREDIBLY delicious. I will definitely be ordering takeout from here again.
I absolutely love this place. Cool diner feel with friendly people, and the best Thai food around.
Great food and service
This is a hidden gem in the Clark community. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful experience at this cozy place. We had dumplings as an app (not pictured), pad thai, yellow curry and mango sticky rice.
I have ZERO complaints. The owner was our waiter and he was attentive and engaging to speak with. He elevated this experience from good to great.
Do not miss this one, you will have an amazing meal!
Food is delicious . Best Thai food around.highly recommend
This is such a good little Thai restaurant. Serve duck curry and many other duck recipe and Curries. We will definitely come back. Thank you
Great food. I will be back
Nice good food authentic and good people
I am a a Thai food aficionado. Iβve eaten all over NYC and Tri State area. You live in central Jerseyβ¦β¦ make this your βGo Toβ spot. Always fresh ingredients, always on point with flavor and taste. Sue, the owner is an amazing host, and not afraid to release that hand with the spice. It delivers everytime, consistently. Itβs 5 stars. Go see for yourself. Enjoy!
I havenβt had food poisoning in nearly 6 yearsβ¦..and I have extremely bad food poisoning from the food here, the night before. I have a pretty strong stomach and it takes a lot for me to get it. So the food I received must have been spoiled, sitting or etcβ¦. to top it off, the service was mediocre and we werenβt even greeted properly upon walking in. Iβll never go back here itβs taking everything in me not to write a worse review. I got the mango curry, we shared dumplings and spring rolls, and yellow curry for my mom, and she has stomach pains as well from the food. Sad to think i was actually excited to eat here.
Food was fantastic and prepared in no time. Server seemed rushed, managing take out and tables, but never missed a beat. Will definitely be back.
COCKROACHES!!! It came crawling onto my sonβs spoon as we were eating. And usually if you see tiny cockroaches, then you may have an infestation. So we stopped eating immediately and left. We almost didnβt pay bc they made us wait 30-40mins to pay! Moving on the food: egg rolls were old and juicy, pad Thai was mediocre, rice dish was okay, but the basil dish wasnβt all that bad. Service was okay but not the greatest, especially for us being the only ones dinning in. Napkins were so old they were stiff, and silverware were super dirty so we asked for chopsticks. Iβm sure these a great people but may be in an old place or need more staff. A lot of potential. Would not recommend only bc of the small cockroach I had to kill mid dining.
Best Thai food in the area. Red curry is the best. Drunken noodles are great but some patrons think itβs too βslimeyβ. Get the mango sticky rice for desert!
The atmosphere is quiet and cozy. Nicely decorated. It is definitely a lot simpler compared to other Thai restaurants. The food is served in a good amount of time. This time we had fried fish cakes and sauce, pad Thai and another type of noodles. The food we ordered were quiet simple and reasonable pricing. Thanks for a good time.
The best red curry chicken I have had since my time in BK. I eat the red curry from here once a week π
The food was dry, no sauce on it . When it was time to pay the bill, I asked for a take out container, and he gave me a plastic cut to put my food in
Not so good. Tried Fish, and Beans with chicken. Fish was fine. Beans and chicken dish was salty.
Tom yum soup was good. Pad Thai was the blandest Iβve ever tasted. Mango mousse cake was frozen in the center still.
They have good Thai food, not the best around, but worth going back for..
The red curry sauce was great. We had it over whole fried snapper, and it was an excellent choice for us.
Great food! Nice people! Always a great experience.
This is my favorite Thai restaurant in NJ!! The quality, portion size everything is A1β¦!
I got the wrong order, instead of drunken noodles I got egg rolls. The egg rolls tasted like a used gym sock and the curry had undercooked potatoes and it tasted under seasoned. BF said "Worst Curry in NJ" . There's better Thai restaurants including one called IMM Thai not too far away. Go there instead. Save yourself.
I've been here twice and loved it both times; the food is fresh, flavorful, and moderately priced. Plus the staff is always kind which is a plus.
Highly recommend this place!!!!
To start off iβm from NYC and I drive here just for this food. This is by far the best thai food Iβve ever had and iβve tried many. The food is actually extremely reasonable and cheap! The waitress is extremely sweet and was able go answer all questions and give great suggestions of food. Iβve came here multiple times and with my family of 6 iβve never spent a more then $100 here ever. my children are very picky eaters and then enjoy every meal here. Highly recommend this place if you want the best thai food in the east coast, itβs also extremely affordable
Good
been picking up my orders here for about six months. never seen anything wrong with the place and the seating environment adequate. and the owners are friendly. hope that helps
Always best service and best food
Excellent food and service!
Sadly the food quality is not what it used to be. Used to frequent this restaurant 10 years ago and it was always packed with a busy take out service. Now (maybe due to Covid?) things are just not as good. Food is bland, and prices have gone up for what you are getting. After giving them multiple chances we will be looking for a new Thai place.
Gave this place yet another chance, but still disappointed. Food is just ok; not bad but nothing to write home about. New owners are still relying on the reputation of the place but failing to live up to that high standard.
I just went back for the first time in three or four years. The new ownership is decent and the food is good! :-) I will definitely be back again
Veery delicious Thai Food in NJ. We are order PadThai Shimps and Drunken Noodles with shrimps and for appetizers we ordered Chicken stay everything very fresh and delicious and mr.Pakit is a wonderful chef. And very good service I highly recommended.
Love the food and the service.
Great thai
Good tasty thai
Food and service good
Iβd give this place a 3.5. The food is ok. The coconut soup was good but Iβve had better. The egg roles were ok, but I wouldnβt order them again. They were a bit too mushy inside for my taste. But overall, not a bad or amazing experience. The service was good. I was the only person there, the server was very attentive and food came out very quickly. The Thai tea was very good.
Paid 26 bucks for a duck dish that was small and dry. The other dishes we ordered weren't good, either. Never again.
Good food and service for a Good price.
They didnβt put Forks and Spun when you order
Just went here with my friends and we are making this one of our regular places to eat.
The food is delicious, the service is friendly, attentive, and genuine.
I would highly recommend to eat here as this is a restaurant that truly deserves your patronage.
Small mom and pop.. The Thai ice tea is my favorite as well as the Thai fried rice.
Local favorite Thai restaurant in a classic jersey diner. Good food at a good price!
Nice place - food was excellent - servers were void of personality
Great food calm amostphere A+
I come to buy the same dish and the great thing is it always taste the same. Seems simple and easy but it really isn't. I guess this is the reason I've been coming here for over 4 years.
Delicious food. Good service.
Great authentic Thai cuisine. Everything they make is really good.
It's a little bit pricey, but it's worth.
However, service is an area where they don't excell at.
We tried spring rolls, Pad Thai and Pad Ke Mao, everything was delicious.
Good drunken noodle. Bad pad thai
The plus point: Good food.
The minus point: Not worth for the money.
The waiter behaved as if a fairly tale witch, not helpful or supportive. She wanted to chase us soon as possible, as if she had been expecting some royal diners.
Fishy stinking water glasses.
My invitees had to wipe the plates with tissue.
Ordinary pipe water was served
Even though we ordered dinner size dish, their portion was only sufficient to two people
Since we are vegetarian, we requested vege preparation (without fish sauce, oyster sauce, or shrimp paste) and there was no vegetable variation at all. Same set of vegetables, broccoli, carrot, baby corn, capsicum, and Tafu had been used for Tom Yum soup, Red Thai curry and stir fry vege in hot Thai basil sauce.
There were no authentic Thai vegetables at all (refer the picture) The vegetables in this image are easily available all over the USA. Rather than cheating the diners with the easily available ingredients, use the right vegetables and enhance the respect of the true essence of Thai food culture.
There were no Thai stir fry greens such as Chayote, water spinach, Thai morning glory, and winter squash leaves (refer the pictures)
When she demanded tips during our checkout, we blandly refused for poor quality of their overall performance.
Returned to dine-in after about a year of not coming here and the service and food was absolutely terrible and expensive!! Not sure if they changed owners, but this place went down hill big time. The lady rushed us, was extremely rude, and basically kicked us out when we werenβt even done eating, and refused to turn on the air conditioning. Zero stars. TERRIBLE!!!
Had to return next day wouldn't couldn't eat one or more of vegetables smelled moldy order Shrimp and Veggies $18.00 broccoli was cooked delicious but carrots corn questionable smh I'm so disappointed but had clue place at lunchtime no customers same next day place use to be packed now open 7days week but they return my money offered to replace i just want my money
Had Tom Yam soup (I think thatβs what itβs called) and Pad Thai along with a Thai Iced Tea. It was absolutely delicious! A+!
WARNING TO PEOPLE WITH SEAFOOD ALLERGIES!!! Iβve eaten here a few times and it was good, but this time I ordered delivery and my non-seafood dish smelled like shrimp or some type of seafood. I DO NOT EAT ANY SEAFOOD. THE SMELL OF SEAFOOD DISGUSTS ME WHICH IS WHY IβM SENSITIVE TO THE SCENT. Luckily Iβm not allergic but if I was I could have died from this dish that was clearly cooked on the same grill without being cleaned!!!!
Great food but expensive.
Food was great and service was good too!
Best Thia food this side of Elizabeth.
If I could give 0 stars I would . What a horribly rude establishment! After placing an order , I was told 15 mins . My husband went to pick up the food , they said they didnβt have it and were incredibly nasty . When I called , they yelled at me and said someone took my order and then hung up on me . Donβt waste your time here .
Tasty. Reasonably priced
Love this place! Very friendly staff and easily one of the best Thai food Iβve had. The fish with ginger scallion sauce is a must have!!
Had the red curry. I have to say, the food was really good and the portions were great. I wasnβt crazy about the older man server. Hate to know someone on might of been an off day, but this guy was borderline rude. Also, if Iβm paying 20 for a meal, at least serve my ginger ale in a cup with ice. The guy handed me a can and a straw and walked away. Itβs close by, so Iβm sure Iβll end up there again. Try it out.
Just went there to try have dinner. The lady in the front was super rude!! She was on her phone and when I said hello she waved her hand in the air basically telling me with her hand gestures to shut up. Then with a very annoyed look and gesture she pointed to the seating area. So my husband and I sat down in a table. We were not directed to sit anywhere specific. We got yelled and and told "that table is for reservations". We sat for a minute and decided to leave. Safe to say I will not be going back.
Pretty disappointed in this place lately. Been coming here regularly for a few years now and. The past three times itβs been sub par. Had the drunken noodles and they were mushy with no spice. Hoping they can get back to what they were because we really like it there.
Friendly service. Food comes out quick and tasty! Highly recommended.
We went for Thai Drunken Noodles, absolutely delicious π the honey banana ice cream was also very good.
Don't usually write reviews (good / bad) - for anything (restaurants, barber-shops, etc.), but had to for this place. The food is simply not good - not by Thai food / Asian food standards anyway. The ginger beef texture was bland ,unappetizing, and even rubbery (like it's been frozen for a while & thawed). The dish itself was soupy - watery & soupy. The Thai spring rolls also tasted like they were ordered frozen and deep fried. It's like eating deep fried mush.
Word of advice - when you use cheap ingredients you end up with cheap products. Cooking skills...(or lack thereof) will only take you so far.
There was tinfoil pieces in my food. Horrible
Good service and food
The food is great and the waiter the time that I went was prompt. If your a fish lover try their fried red snapper in garlic sauce with the white rice on the side. The drunken noodles with the shrimp as tasty and better with the chili sauce they have. You will have to ask them to bring it to you. The restaurant is can be cold during the winter when customers come in and out.
My favorite Thai restaurant when Iβm around the area!
Love the ambiance and the food is very tasty
Absolute best Thai for miles. I admit they do have bad days for sure, off nights can be truly horrific food (Thursday for example). But on a good night these guys kill it!
Worst thai salad I've ever had.
The food is always freshly prepared and delicious.
Excellent food . Generous portions . Fairly Priced
Got Pad Thai , Green Curry , Hot Pepper , Crispy Duck Salad . So delicious πtry it
Just ordered from there tonight and baffled by the positive reviews especially since I ordered from the place up the street (Imm Thai, very good) last week.
I was going to give Thailand Restaurant 1 star, but the drunken noodles were edible, so hence two stars. Let's start with the calamari appetizer...they tasted oily and had an old oil funkiness with other fried stuff in there....trash. Steamed dumplings....tiny and also a bit funky taste. Just bland. I ordered the spicy crispy duck in basil sauce. Understandably, duck wasn't super crispy after steaming on the ride home but the vegetables with it tasted like frozen bland stir fry. Basil sauce was soupy and blah. Best thing was drunken noodles....but not by much. I've has much better everywhere else. Look at Imm Thai or Tum Thai in Kenilworth, much better.
One of the best places to eat, only complaint is they changed their menu recently, it's much smaller and doesn't have a bunch of things I use to love.
The food is delicious....we're a vegetarian/vegan family and always get our Thai food from Thailand Restaurant, Clark, NJ. Every entree is very good (we get a lot of the vegetable dishes, rice dishes and have them put fried tofu in some of them). EXCELLENT, HEALTHY food at reasonable prices. On top of all that, the owner and staff could not be nicer. Very accommodating and always looking to make sure that we're "happy". Definite 5 star place!! I hope that Covid doesn't hurt this business....my family and I would be very upset.....
Amazing food. Love the drunken noodles. A bit pricey, I felt $72 was alot for 5 items out of which 2 were appetizers. Not sure if due to covid the prices went up so much. I did take out due to covid.
Noodles are amazing
