Pleasantly surprised with this little gem in Bayonne, NJ! We ordered the staples dishes of the usual Thai cuisine including Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai, Drunkenly Noodles & Basil Fried Rice.

We also ordered the crispy spicy tuna roll just to give it a try. Everything is so yummy! The taste is authentic and the quality is wonderful! The young lady serving us is patient and attentive! We will definitely return whenever we visit Bayonne!

I got delivery and the food was excellent! Salad, wonton soup and Pad Thai. Big portions. I wish they had Wi-Fi though otherwise I would have ate there and got a lunch special. The food was so fresh though, and tasted great reheated as well the next day. The Pad Thai has shrimp and chicken in it, and the chicken was tender and the shrimp were perfectly cooked as well. I hate reheating fish but these shrimp reheated well. The Thai iced tea was big, very sweet but good. I will definitely order again!

… I ordered again and got pick up. Got the maki combo (tuna roll, California roll and shrimp tempura roll) and it came with soup and salad. Enough for 1 person. The 3 rolls it comes with are great, shrimp tempura is very good. The miso soup was a generous portion and I really liked the seaweed in it. Salad is iceberg lettuce and tomato and that good ginger dressing. Really happy with this place and service, bumping to 5 stars.

The room is a bit small for me. We were seated near the door and walking pass me when I was eating. For the food nothing that I will wow over. I could get pass all this and some might seem to think this is nothing but I have never been to a sushi establishment where they charge for hot tea.

The staff here are very nice and greet you right away to be seated.

Simply amazing little place with very flavorful food. Order steamed Shrimp Shumai which were perfectly done. For main course, Pad Thai Country Style and Chef's Special - Fishman's Fury and both were true to their description and flavor. We will definitely go back there. Only thing, they definitely need help, our waitress did an amazing job but she was waiting on all the tables!! Also, best thing....its a BYOB!!

It’s all about the taste, of course. In my opinion, the food here is of excellent taste. We tried 7 or 8 various sushi rolls, soups, and meals, and every single one of them was delicious. Plus, I wasn’t really hungry to begin with, still I ate quite a lot. Below are the reasons why I felt this way about the food.
The tuna in the sushi rolls was fresh and the avocado was ripe to perfection (ripe enough to be soft enough, yet not too ripe to start being too soft and getting brown).
The chicken in both Tom Yum soup and in the Pad Thai was of a very good quality: cooked just right (soft, not chewy) and one could actually taste the chicken among the spices.
Miso soup was truly delicious, with taste quite similar to one I’ve had privilege to experience in the best Japanese restaurants (both in US and Japan).
Service was also good and friendly, quite attentive. Plus, one gets free Bayonne roll for every order larger than $50 ( or free California roll for orders over $30).
I’m very pleasantly surprised finding such a hidden gem in this area and am highly recommend ing it as either lunch or dinner whenever you are in the area (we drove half an hour to get here and was definitely worth the drive).

I am the biggest fan of Japanese cuisine, really enjoyed this and can definitely recommend it to others.

Had my first drunken noodle here very delicious. Server is on point as well always refilling my water and checking on us.

Possibly the worse Pad Thai i ever tasted. It was very bland and the noodles were mushy. Save your money and get Thai O'Briens, you won't regret it!

Updated review... 2 yrs later and still amazing. Awesome sushi, drunken noodles, Spicy Gen Tso Chicken (better than any chinese place), scallion pancakes and wings are really great, also - The sleeper dish is the Crabmeat Fried Rice - it's amazing!

I was so disappointed...fried Gyoza was mushy as well as wontons in soup... even the dipping sauce...no flavor...are scallions that expensive that you can't throw some in? C'mon if you can't make a wonton you shouldn't open an Asian restaurant...and so much for garlic chicken, can't taste the garlic. The hot basil chicken barely has chicken, you're paying for mostly peppers and onions...the portions are SOOO small and nothing at ALL to rave over. I don't mind spending more for delicious food but this is NOT worth it ...plus they charge you a delivery fee which would be ok if the actual delivery person got it...I'll have to find a new Thai place.

Wasabi Thai has the best sushi that i've tried so far in Hudson county, NJ. I recommend getting the "Godzilla roll"; It is very tasty and melts in your mouth. Also, the staff are very nice and sushi always tastes fresh and delicious.

I was so disappointed with the pork ramen. I’m home sick and couldn’t get to any of my regular spots. The egg was hard boiled not soft boiled and the noodles were akin to packaged ramen noodles.

Got the green curry with Chicken. The absolute worst dish I have had. I am a thai cuisine fan and have had Thai food from hundreds of different places across the globe. This was hands down at the bottom.

Please don’t go. Or else you will regret.

Ordered the chicken red curry and pad Thai. The red curry was pretty good but not my level of spicy. The pad Thai was disappointing. Service was great and the ambience of the restaurant was lovely. TBH my Thai food standard is very high, once drove an hour out of the way on an eight hour road trip just to try a Thai place.

This is always my go to pick-up/delivery place.. we rarely go and actually eat there but the place is very cozy, just a little too dark for my liking.
Anyway, our orders are always consistently good! They are very friendly, polite.. I always take advantage of the free california roll or the bayonne roll.
Sushi and sashimi are good!
Definitely recommended if you want some American Japanese/thai cuisine

So, so good! I’ve only ordered take-out, but my usual rotation is usually some combination of their Godzilla roll, Pad Thai (country style or regular), Drunken noodles, or Gyoza’s. They have solid classic rolls as well. Food always arrives at the perfect temperature and is well worth the value. So glad I found this wonderful little spot. Can’t wait to try more items off their menu and eventually dine in. Thank you, Wasabi Thai!

I had to return the seafood miso soup after discovering a hair on the plate. When they brought back some fresh soup, it was cold and I got food poisoning the next day. Would not recommend visiting this place.

Disgusting. I ordered Massaman curry with chicken. There was no curry sauce, was thick as paste with a horrible odor. I returned it.

Cute ambiance along Broadway, bonus points it is next to magic fountain! I really hope they read my review because the food here is truly good. Sushi is fresh and tasty, not much rice used for the roll btw. I had one of the most flavorful and delicious entrees under the specialty items-the ox something which was satay beef. The beef was perfect in texture and flavor. The chicken Panang curry was a different story. As other people have mentioned, the chicken was gelatinous and inedible. It must be the way they are preparing it. Also the curry was very watered down. This was probably the worst Thai curry I have had in awhile. Now is that awful dish enough to knock this establishment ? Definitely not ! We will be back for more and it is byob at that. The staff are wonderful and they deserve the patronage. I just hope they read this and work on the chicken prep! It would’ve been 5 stars ⭐️

I ordered from this place years ago and it used to be much better. I ordered the shrimp with broccoli and brown sauce and the shrimp with garlic sauce and they were both disgusting. The scallion pancakes were very greasy as well. Never ordering from here again.

Whenever I crave drunken noodles, this is my go to spot!

Nice friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious. I have celiac disease and this establishment have several selections to choose. I had the crab fried rice, my daughter had the basil fried rice; both was delicious 🤤 we had spring rolls, which was not in the best shape; however was good. Lastly the sushi…it was a great blend of yellow tail fin and salmon with rice rolled in eel. Then get this, they dip some orange roe…game changer. I was so caught off I forgot to take a pic😞 there was plenty left over.

My boyfriend and I love coming here. It's one of our go-to spots for a quick date! Our order is the same every time: sushi (various types), garlic wings, fried dumplings, scallion pancakes, and spicy pad Thai. The quality of the food is consistent every time - fresh and delicious! Parking could be annoying but that doesn't stop us from eating here.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had. When it comes to customer service or hospitality they do not know the definition. There was an error in my order. Then after waiting for 1 full hour they state that after my food sat and got cold for I cold come pick it up myself. Myself, my family, my friends will never order from this over priced , lack in mortals , swindling, noodle restaurant.

We moved to Bayonne recently and first time to dine at Wasabi Thai and the food did not disappoint. We ordered Pad Thai, Green Curry, Pineapple Rice and Fried Tofu. Every dish was delicious and will definitely come back. The restaurant is very clean and decorated tastefully and the server was super nice.

Its China/Sushi/Thai so keep your expectation in check. Otherwise it's okay. Not a very extensive menu and portions are on the smaller side, especially if your a gluttonous big man such as myself.

I had a craving for some Ramen, and in bayonne, there aren't many places to quench that craving. I looked up wasabi. they had decent reviews, so I placed an order with extra meat and an egg. The food had no flavor, and the egg was beyond overcooked; it was actually gritty. It's such a disappointment. I will never order from there again.

This is just not good Thai food. Gloppy and weird, I’m pretty sure all the sauces come from a can. Pad Thai, DRY, Buddha Delight literally DROWNING IN GLOPPY BROWN SAUCE, chicken curry SMELLED very strange and was complete mush.

Ignore any low star review. Wasabi Thai easily has THE BEST food in Bayonne, NJ. Their Thai, Japanese, and Chinese based dishes makes it the best place to order from. If I have a random itch for any of those including sushi, they always come through. Just order something random and enjoy!

You get what you pay for. The prices are ridiculously cheap and there's a reason for that. We ordered a chicken pad thai and chicken drunken noodle. The chicken did not taste like chicken. It was very gelatinous and almost fishy in texture. The drunken noodle itself looked and tasted like recycled chow fun and had none of the typical drunken noodle flavor. Maybe the sushi is better but stay away from the Thai dishes.

I would not recommend this place to anyone I know. I ordered the Bayonne roll, Thai mango ceviche, red curry, and chicken pad Thai. I was disappointed to say the least. The only thing that was edible was the Bayonne roll. The ceviche had one flavor: Wishbone Italian dressing. It was absolutely horrible. The fish was cut into huge chunks as well. I cannot believe I paid money to have chunked fish in wishbone Italian salad dressing. The red curry was also inedible. First off it wasn’t even red or orange, it was closer to yellow or yellow-orange. It also smelled different-different then any Thai red curry I have every had. I don’t know if they put too much lemon or acid in this dish but it was funky. It smelled and tasted like floor cleaner. The pad Thai also had a funky taste to it. I could not even eat the food I bought from this place and I will never order again.

Everything I've tried on the menu has been great. Reasonable prices, and they don't skimp out on the ingredients. The pad thai comes with chicken and shrimp, where as you have to pay extra to get one of those at other places. Great service as well!

Really, Really good sushi here! We had tuna roll, salmon, mango and something, shrimp tempura, sweet potato - must have! I highly recommend this place for sushi only. Also the Summer rolls are delicious, they are very big and filling. Just make sure you ask for extra sauce (1 more should suffice). We tried the Pad Thai, it was just ok.

Sushi tastes so good. So far I have tried drunken noodles, pad thai, green curry, red curry, general tso's chicken, sushi, sashimi, pajeon, pineapple fried rice, rolls, summer rolls, etc. All the dishes were prepared very clean. The taste is awesome. Even the salad came with the lunch menu was good.

This is a really rare treat in Bayonne. Every item I have tried has been really tasty. I do have to admit that their thai foods are superior to their chinese/japanese menu items. I highly recommend you try the Summer Roll. It is a extremely fresh and the taste cilantro really puts it over. This restaurant really deserves your attention.

This is a small place but the food is great. They don't sell alcohol there but you can go across the street and purchase wine or beer. The restaurant only allows wine or beer to be brought in and they open it for you and serve it. However they don't allow hard alcohol. Food is delicious specially the sashimi for 2.

This place was really good. We ordered Thai food, pineapple fried rice, pad Thai and drunken noodles. The food came out fairly quickly and it was delicious, the service was great, we also had Thai iced tea and it wasn’t as sweet as others.
