Hands down probably our favorite restaurant in our area. I've been going here since 2016 and when my husband and I bought our home in 2018, it became a staple for us. We're known by our names and they know our orders without us having to say anything! We usually order take out but have dined in several times. Both take out and dining in are great experiences! I genuinely can't recommend this place enough. They're like family. 10 out of 10 great food, great service and great people!

I am in Nashua for work and decided to try Thon Khao since I can’t find any good Thai food where I live in SC. I am VERY glad I did. I ordered the vegetable spring rolls, pad Thai with shrimp (medium spicy because I know better than to attempt Thai spice), and a Thai iced tea. Everything was delicious, the portion sizes were large, and the pad Thai tasted exactly how I wanted it to taste. The sauce was perfect. No dry, gross, gummy noodles here! They had a ton of takeout orders, which I was happy to see, and the woman working the front was so kind and friendly. If I am ever back in this area for work I will be sure to stop here again.

Food was good the place could use a lil renovation. I ordered the green city with shrimp which was better then expected. My boyfriend got Tamarind Fish, Duck... crispy duck... heee was very very happy about this dish. For me I thought it was a little on the pricy side but my boyfriend thought it was worth the price for his duck dish. We will most likely be returning.

Do yourself a favor and order anything else off the menu after you've had the Pad Thai 50 times. The flavors are so well balanced. It's the food you would expect to be served after iniation in Heaven. Skip lute practice and head straight to the cafeteria. The Chef is a quiet giant and a god.

Best Pad Thai around. Very much a hidden gem in Nashua!

Ordered sesame (fried) chicken and massaman curry. Curry was very thin with not much flavor. Sweet potatoes and carrots were too al dente. Sesame chicken not crispy. Underwhelmed, disappointing.

My girlfriend and I usually come here, but this last time we both returned with terrible food poisoning.

The food was so bland we thought they forgot the sauces. One was a curry the other ginger. The vegetables were fresh which is why I gave 2 stars. Will never order from this restaurant again. Very disappointing for the cost.

Great spot, it is a bit pricey but they have a good vegan/vegitarian selection and they let me customize my delicious Tofu Royal dish by adding bamboo shoots and making it spicy. They got the heat level just right on the spice scale that I requested. I liked it so much that I went back the next night 🙂

Best Thai food and food service ever PERIOD.

This is still some of the tastiest Thai food I have ever had. The meals are consistent, and portions are generous. A friendly family runs the restaurant, and we are always amazed at how they genuinely remember their regular customers' preferred meals and special requests.

I visited Thon Khao for dinner last night after craving local Thai food. I wasn't blown away nor was it terrible. It was just very average.

Items ordered: Fried fish balls (appetizer), Pacific Soup (main course), Mango sticky rice (dessert)

Pros:
-Friendly staff
-Fish balls/cakes were tasty
-Mango sticky rice was one of the better ones I've had

Cons:
-Tacky and messy interior
-Food took longer than I expected to get to me considering the restaurant was empty
-Pacific Soup broth (which is just their tom yum soup) could have used way more flavor
-Pacific Soup also had very little of the actual boiled seafood, and definitely wasn't worth the $17 price tag
-Prices in general seem a bit too much ($10 for mango sticky rice? $17 for a soup with barely any seafood?)

Overall: If you're looking for an actual sit-down restaurant for good Thai food, you could do way better for a better price. One restaurant that comes to mind is Daw Kun in Manchester if you're willing to travel a bit. However, if you just want some quick, generic, take away Thai Food in a pinch, Thon Khao is okay.

Love the fresh rolls and soup! Quick service and the best peanut sauce in the area for Thai Food. Pad Thai is excellent as well. If you like Thai food this place really hits the spot.

Worst place worst food high prices no service nothing

Very bad experience!!! We ordered take out for Green Curry and were shocked to see the meager quantity. There were only few veggies and no sigh of curry as such. Wont be lying when I say that there were only 3 teaspoons of curry in the box which was so frustrating. Same was the case with basil fried rice and Ka prow chicken ordered where take out box for just 1/4th filled!!!! and all this despite of having a pricy menu when compare to other thai places.

If I shared with you the number of times that I have ordered this establishment’s pad thai then you’d likely be left with a feeling of shock and disgust. If you’d tried that pad thai before I told you, though, you’d probably feel something like empathy and understanding.

The “medium spicy” pad thai always seems to cast capsaicin in a role best suited for its dish - balanced but engaging; tantalizing but perfectly powerful.

I am loath to write one star reviews, so let me tell you this story indirectly. I once thought to myself, “I order too frequently from Thon Khao, I should try out that other Thai place right up the street, I should give them a shot.”

So I did. I ordered their chicken pad thai with medium spice and I was nothing short of revolted. It was bland yet somehow overpowering in some acidic way. That experience made me think of all the other pad thai I’ve had in my life. No one else can capture the mouthfeel of Thon Khao’s noodles. No one else seems to come close to the nuanced flavor that Thon Khao has isolated.

And you know what, if you’ve read this far, I’ll just go ahead and tell you. That place with the garbage pad thai is K’sone’s Thai Dining and Lounge.

I love Thon Khao. I love its decor. I love what I can only presume is a husband/wife chef/hostess team. And most of all, I love their food.

This was the worsed place that I’ve every been for Thai. Sure they are good with service, but the food ?? Total waste of about 30 dollars for 2 dishes. Idk if covid is really affecting their business now and they have to be skippy because I was excited, I saw such good reviews on google, only to be disappointed. I got the veggies tofu and curry and it had like barely any tofu (protein) in it basically all veggies and not much curry gravy to even soak the veggies and tofu in. The gravy tasted OK but it wasn’t really the best. Maybe people think it’s amazing because they aren’t used to trying other thai places I don’t know. I got Thai food from K'sone's Thai Dining & Lounge , that is a couple mins away so do yourself a favor, I ordered tofu and green curry and it was way better than this place. Ksones absolutely fills the takeout box with curry gravy and there is a good amount of tofu. you bite into tofu and some veggies are like a sponge with the gravy, by far the best. With tofu that doesn’t taste bland

Good food but long wait during rush hour

By far, the BEST Thai food around. And talk about going above and beyond for their customers. I am high risk and although they do not technically offer curb side pick-up, they are always willing to bring it out to me and allow me to pay over the phone. They will always have my business! Others should follow their lead!!!

Ok, I am not usually one to write a review, but this experience warranted one. This is my first time ordering from this restaurant....I ordered the crispy pad Thai with chicken, now I have eaten this dish a thousand times from other places...this is the first time my noodles were actually fried rather than the chicken. This caught me off guard, but after the first taste I was amazed. Excellent flavor all around. I also ordered the mango and sweet sticky rice dessert...such a simple dish, but so many layers of flavor. Overall AMAZING experience and will be ordering there again!

If you're looking for the best pad Thai between nashua and Boston, this is it. I tried pad thai here for the first time in 2016 and have yet to find a better variation of the dish.

I use to come here a lot . Stopped in after a year . A different women was working (older) . She sat me (party of 1 ) then Another party of one came in and she asked him to sit with me . I don’t know this man , he doesn’t know me ... it was so uncomfortable , neither of us knew what to say ... luckily the guy noticed my face and asked to be seated in another spot ... the entire back restaurant was open . Then I tried asking for no rice and she told me I had to get it and pay extra if I didn’t want it ... ok ... I’ll pay extra for no rice .... didn’t get water until after my food came , want a refill ... good luck.
Food was cold when it came out like it had been sitting for a pretty Long time .
Another customer was waiting in line for a to go order , she asked the lady for hot sauce and she told her no , kitchen can’t do it we are backed up . The lady stood there in disbelief as did I . The restaurant was not that busy . . I am so mad ... I feel like I wasted a bunch of money on subpar food and really awful service . I won’t be back .. such a shame .

My favorite Thai restaurant for sure. I used to eat here a few times a month and then changed jobs. I went back after a year and the owner remembered me and exactly what I used to order. The Pad Thai is the best and the service is exceptional.

Probably the best Thai in nashua. Really wish they'd called the drunken noodles by their proper name (what are hot and crazy noodles?) but they made them with the proper ingredients, the right spice level, and wide noodles. Yes yes yes.

Walked in and saw a table full of trinkets with a sign that said "do not touch". Not to worry, they were covered in dust.

We were walked to a table (duct taped together) and given menus. After picking up the drink menu to look for a beer, it became clear that not only the menus had not been cleaned in ages, but the dining room intelf had not been cleaned in quite some time.

We promtpy decided this was not the place for us and left without ordering.

It is important to note, there were many (seemingly happy) people eating lunch and giving praise to the server so the food may well be great...

Stopped in here on a whim Friday night for dinner around 8pm. To be completely honest, the lack of crowd had us initially unsure, but we decided to see it through...sometimes you discover great places in unexpected locations!

The decor leaves plenty to be desired, but we were looking for good tasting affordable Thai food, not a 5 star lounge to spend the evening.

The service was great...very friendly and attentive. Our glasses of house Pinot came out quickly and she took our orders. We split an order of Thai spring rolls for an appetizer, and I opted for one of my favorites...tom kha gai soup. For entrees, my wife got the chicken larb, and I got the pad Thai (asked for spicy).

The appetizers came out in good time and were very tasty. The soup had lots of chicken and the broth was everything I expected. The Thai rolls were fried to perfection and came with sweet chili sauce.

The chicken larb was also quite good, though it was presented as a salad. We really prefer when larb is served with lettuce cups on the side, as opposed to chopped iceberg on the bottom, topped with the chicken. Looking past this picky flaw, the taste was on point and the portion was generous. My pad Thai was spiced up perfectly and was really good. It did not come with lime wedges, but I asked for them and they came out right away.

All in all, this was a pleasant experience and the food was very good and priced well. We will definitely be returning!

So disappointing. Ordered off the website where the dish was 13.95 with a choice of regular or crispy duck. Asked for broccoli instead of peppers. Never told there was a price difference on the phone. Bill was 20.95 when I got there without tax. Told crispy duck and broccoli was more but they didn't say that on the phone nor on the website. Got home and it was breaded duck, not crispy at all and just a greasy sad dish overall. I've eaten at a lot of Thai restaurants all over the country. This was awful. They also said that someone put the wrong prices on their website but it is their website so it's their responsibility to make it accurate. Going to eat a Tums now. Oh yeah, hate pineapples in my Thai food so that is another reason I choose this dish, there were no pineapples in it. Yet when I got it home it had lots of pineapples in it. Really Thon Khao, thats a lot of things wrong.

Pad Thai is delicious!!!

Ordered pad Thai at around 11:30 am. Should have been charged $6.95 for the lunch price, but I was charged $8.95. I don't usually complain if it's my first visit so I let it go. When I went to go eat the food I found three black hairs in just the half that I ate. Place smells like old incense. Would not recommend.

Nothing like authentic or even decent Thai food. My appetizer consisted of store bought frozen pastry shells filled with vegetable medley from the same supermarket freezer and minced chicken, sitting on some wilted chopped cabbage. My green curry was made with a store bought sauce, the ingredients had not been simmered in the sauce, no fresh spices or Thai basil or coconut milk, very bland. Service was friendly but very amateurish, restaurant interior tired looking.

One of the best Thai restaurants within 50 miles. I regularly get the Pad Thai and Larb Gai.

I've been to all Thai restaurants in lower New Hampshire and upper Mass. This is by far the best! Best service and best taste. This is my #1 choice HANDS DOWN!

Excellent food coupled with excellent service

The hours were posted to be open until 10pm. The open sign was still on when I walked in at 9:55pm and was nonchalantly turned away. Other certainly didn't make me want to return another day.
