Oh my GOODNESS!!!!! Knock your socks off Thai food and excellent service to boot! We had dumplings that had more flavor than I could have anticipated! All the sauces/dips were so good I could drink them! Crab Rangoon is rich and sweet which is awesome as I donβt like the onion flavor ones! The pad Thai had the perfect heat we got level three and it had the most authenticity Iβve had in such a long time ! You will not be disappointed with this gorgeous piece of our community! Did I mention they had fresh flowers on each table πΈ unbelievable I will be back !
First timeβ¦Choose Thai Or. based on the reviews. I ordered the teriyaki chicken. It comes with about a cup of white rice, grilled chicken and a small dish of teriyaki sauce, a side of shredded cabbage and carrots. All the flavor is in the teriyaki sauce but to be fair, I did ask for 0 on the spice meter, but still doubt if I order this dish again
The food was great and the people were very friendly. I had the Tofu spring rolls followed by the Chaing Mai Noodle Soup. The spring rolls were very fresh and filled with really nice crisp lettuce and Cucumber with an excellent tangy sauce on the side. The Chaing Mai Noodle Soup was a yellow Curry (served at your desired spice level) with rice noodles, protein (I got tofu), onions, Cilantro, and fried noodles on top. It was very flavorful with lots of great textures, though the noodles in the soup seemed overcooked and really soft. But other than that, everything was delicious and the service was outstanding. Will return soon! It was $24 plus tip for the meal with water to drink, so almost $30 for lunch, but I got some to take home and it was exactly what I was craving.
My wife and I were in the area and stopped by here on a Saturday afternoon. We ordered the beef jerky appetizer which came with a spicy dip that seemed like it was sriracha mixed with something else. Whatever it was, it was good! For our entrees, we ordered Green Curry and Spicy Basil. Both were solid dishes and there wasn't anything that really set them apart from other Thai places. The service was also amazing. We will definitely be back to try some of their more unique dishes and overall a good place to stop by for some staple thai food!
Love the food. Our favorite Thai place in South County. Sometimes the wait times for pick-up are longer than originally told.
Excellent pad thai, good service, unpretentious atmosphere. Wait, what? No free refills on iced tea? EVERYONE has free refills on iced tea! It's hugely cheap to make. Deal killer.

It used to better, flavor is not too bad, prices are up.....
Excellent food. Iβm not sure if it changed in the last year or two but I feel like itβs much better these days than it was a few years back.
Either way, delicious.
100% the BEST Thai beef jerky and Thai fried rice around! Their Panang Curry sauce is SO Creamy and Delicious as well!
Super friendly staff and utterly delicious food.
Great food! Very friendly staff!
Very good service and excellent food

Great food and very friendly staff. Big menu with tons of great options.
The food was pretty bad compared to other thai places I like including but not limited to House of Thai in North County, Zen, King and I, and Drunken Noodles. I would recommend any of those places over this. The egg in the pad thai was runny and the massaman curry was bland
Great food and service
Delish!!
Absolutely fabulous family run restaurant. Great food and a diner atmosphere.
Fresh hot food good portions reasonable prices. Both food and service was great. The dinning area was cold and very plain space heater next to our table was loud.
Great food!
I enjoy the food here a lot, but as others have said, the small portions coupled with the raise in prices have made it quite expensive. If bigger portions were offered, then it would be wonderful, but otherwise it's quite pricey.
My family, friends and I are huge fans of Thai food, and have tried many restaraunts in the area. Thai Orchid has THE best pad Thai in St Louis. β€οΈ
Thai orchid is so delicious! I love the curry. Don't get it too spicy tho lol like a 1 or 2. This was my favorite restaurant when I lived in South county and still is!
I used to love this place but went recently and the amount of food they served was half of what it used to be and the price per person was 25.00.
Absolutely delicious. Perfect flavor! Drunken noodles, Tom kha soup +seafood mix and shrimp spring rolls... one of the best meals I've had in a long time!. Worth every penny..the most perfectly cooked scallops I've ever had!
Oh. My. Gosh. Everything was THE BEST THAI experience Iβve EVER had. Iβve never left the USA soβ¦ but WOWβΌοΈβΌοΈβΌοΈ The crab Rangoon sauce is not the red crud, itβs the real deal. The stir fried ginger, I think it was, was phenomenal! ALL the food and the boboa ice coffee was so excellent, my dear friend was slurping the bottom of the cup; one of her pet peeves. But she was slurping! Said as soon as she got the first drink of that, she knew we were at a fabulous place. This is our go to Thai restaurant from here on out. We request if the cook ever leaves here, we are given the opportunity to follow them. For realβ£οΈπ
First time eating here. We got delivery! It came still hot and absolutely delicious!
Fantastic in every way!!! Will never disappoint.
I've eaten there and loved it but today, not so good. Chicken chewy and tough and crab Rangoon wasn't crispy. Also ordering online is so expensive!
Note- GPS directions will take you to the wrong location. Follow the street numbers.
Thai Orchid will never disappoint! The sweet service was so genuine. The food was tremendous and on point; exactly how we ordered it. We will ALWAYS spend WAY more than we should but leave full and happy every time.
Good food. Size of portions is definitely below average thoughβ¦
The Thai tea is very good!
Green Curry and Mango Sticky Rice. Soooo good! I did a 8 on the spiciness of the Curry it was perfection.
Food was ok. Small portion for the money
Very good food, we rarely visit but get delivery often. It's always very good.
Enjoyed Spicy Fried Rice with chicken and Drunken Noodles. Wonderful flavors served hot. A nice, clean, small dine-in area. Highly recommend and we hope to be back.
This unassuming Thai restaurant is a gem hidden in plain sight. Don't let the strip center location fool you. We've tried several Thai places throughout the Metro, who have glitz and dark woods to woe you in ... but never once have we found ourselves craving their food. Thai Orchid is in an understated location across from Mehlville High School (Go Panthers!), that I've/we've driven past hundreds of times. Until we stopped on a whim three years ago it blended into the commercial scenery of South County. Now? Whenever we're running errands and looking for an amazing curry we stop in. Great service. Amazing owners. And food that will have you craving another taste!
Place has gone downhill. Their prices went up and portions got smaller. I guess everything is changing in this economy. Pad Thai chicken had barely any chicken. And soup any beef. Noodles were mushy and food was bland overall. Itβs a bummer since we live right down street and used to eat here all the time.
Very Good Food.
We love their food, reasonable prices too
Great small "hole in the wall" type restaurant. Affordable, quick, repeat business.
Great food and atmosphere. Can't wait to come back!
This place could charge alot more if they had a nicer place. Be glad they don't. Go eat here. π
The food was great and served quickly! Our server was also very kind I enjoyed my visit. A cup of tea with your meal is recommended!
The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
One of our favorite take out places.
This is, hands down, my favorite Thai restaurant in St. Louis. The curries (especially the yellow curry) are excellent and flavorful. Also, opt for the mango and sticky rice when itβs in season. A nice, family-owned and operated local business!
Thoroughly disappointed after calling in a take away order of vegetable Pad Thai; explicitly stating NO PEANUTS on the dish. Upon pickup service was prompt & pleasant however; when I got to work ready to devour my dinnerβ¦low & behold PEANUTS on the dish! Disgusted, I immediately tossed the dish and called Thai Orchid to discuss this issue. The you gladly seemed apologetic yet confused at the βold ladies in the kitchenβ (her words not mine). As she clearly informed them NO PEANUTS but stated they heard βEXTRA PEANUTSβ which explained the side container of additional peanuts. Anywho, after I explained I was now 25 minutes away & working Iβd have to return at a later day/time. She took my name & number to give to the owner and apologized again.
Fast forward 4 days later I call to replace my order only to be ridiculed & dismissed. According to the manager the owner has had too many issues with this & wants the old Pas Thai dish (from 4 days prior containing peanuts) returned in order to remake my CORRECT order. No worries, no back & forthβ¦especially over a $10 dish. I simply will not return or spend 1 red cent in this establishment again.
Problem solved.
Best Thai food in the area. Always on point .
Great Thai iced teas and great service! The pad see ew doesn't use the typical wide, flat noodle but it's still pretty good.
This place is the best Thai in south county.
Very good Thai food nice atmosphere.
Great food and friendly service, nice little hole in the wall spot for Thai food
The menu here is a lot broader than other Thai restaurants in the area. We were pleased to find Som Tum, Sticky Rice, Laab, etc. They even serve Mango + Sticky Rice for dessert. The problem for me, however, is the food just simply is not authentic enough. I live in Thailand but was staying in the St Louis area for a couple of months. Thai food is probably the best cuisine on Earth. But when Thais bring it to the USA, they change it by adding loads of sugar to it. This is also true at Thai Orchid. I spoke with the owner about trying to make it taste more authentic, but she said that they pre-make their sauces, so it was not possible. Even more peculiar, they did not have any Thai chilies. The chili is the most essential ingredient in many dishes, and you can buy them locally at Jay International Foods, and they are not expensive. The chilies are also necessary to serve Prik Nam Plar (fish sauce with chili), which is the most important condiment with a Thai meal. On a later visit to Thai Orchid, I brought along my own Thai chilies and asked the the staff to cut a few and mix them with fish sauce. They were nice enough to do this for me, although they charged me $3 for doing it haha. That's OK. Anyway, this is a pretty nice little spot and I'll go there again when I'm in town, but I hope they will consider making it more authentic.
Excellent. My husband and I will revisit next time we are in Branson.
So. Dam*. Good. Some of the best casual Asian cuisine I've ever eaten for a reasonable price. If you've not eaten here, give it a shot - you will not be disappointed.
Good food but they increased their price A LOT the last few months and it's simply not worth it if you just want takeout.
The Pad Thai is always bomb
We go there all the time!
Food was great and I asked for spicy and that's just what I got ill be back for more for sure
Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious.
Outstanding food! Wonderful staff
Food is always tasty and consistent.
Good food but a bit pricey.
I cannot believe they rose the price of every entree by $5. Just looked at an old recipe from April, and what used to cost me $10 is now $15.
Went there yesterday with my boyfriend. The honey duck was amazing! We really love that you can choose how spicy you want the dish to be. Waiter was enthusiastic too. Will come again.
Small place. Not very popular. But the food is authentic and more delicious compared to other Thai places in STL such as Chao Baan and 'King and I'. The price is a lot cheaper too.
Nice little carry-out Thai restaurant with dine in option. Friendly staff, but with only a few tables for dine in. Tried the yellow and red curries, both were delicious. I'll definitely be going back!
Best Thai in South County and probably in the entire STL area. The employees are so kind.
The miso soup and pot stickers are awesome!
Ordered online, they gave us all the wrong food and then when I asked for a refund they didn't process it. I called twice to try and get the refund processed and they didn't answer
Always amazing food and great service. Highly recommend.
Always a great choice. Love the whole menu.
The pineapple duck curry is delicious. Iβve become a regular ordering from here during COVID and highly recommend it.
Best to go Thai food cooked by a Thai mom. Order is always right. Friendly and precise service
Polite and curtious Curbside service.
Some of the best Thai food I've had in the area in a while.
We ordered takeout today. The food was delicious! The man that took our order and brought our food was so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place!
Awesome food and excellent service. Highly recommend.
First timer here and have to say that while it is a small place, the food and flavor are huge! I picked the Drunken noodles with beef and egg rolls with potstickers. The food was terrific and the staff was friendly during COVID19 and will be back for sure!
Loved it! Food was great! Only complaint is soda in a can so charged by the can.
Great food
Eat here if you want fried breading instead of chicken! Save your money and go somewhere else π
Great food!!!! Great service!!! Had the Green Curry and Pad Thai
Staff is extremely friendly and the food is amazing!
One of my favorite Thai restaurants in St. Louis! A hidden gem in South County. The food is consistently great and the staff is always very friendly. My family and friends love it!
Nice little restaurant with good asian food. One of my favorites
Great food! Nice people. Good parking lot. What else can you ask for?
The Drunken Noodles w/ Chix was amazing. I will def be back to try out many more dishes.
A couple of friends and I ate lunch here today for the very first time. Everyone loved their dishes. Very pleasant server and we got our food very quickly!
Purdy good
Basic but tasty very good value and service just right. Most definitely eat there again
Thai Orchid is the best place in St. Louis! Every item Iβve ordered has been delicious and flavorful. Better even, the food is always consistent; they never have an βoff dayβ. I highly recommend this place!
Not a bad place for a Thai dish. It's not my favorite Thai restaurant, but definitely not bad. The curry puff appetizer was just ok. I probably wouldn't order it again, but it wasn't gross. The pad thai was decent. The drunken noodles were good enough. The service was great! Our server was so friendly and attentive, but not too much.
Absolutely amazing! Great food and really friendly service!
My order was wrong and my thai chicken was dry
The guy who took my order gave my tail tea to a customer who decided she wanted to add a tea to her call in order. She said how did u get that made so fast he said oh it was for her but I'll just make her another
This underestimated thai spot is a must for my family and I when we pass through on the weekends. Its always a nice meal with great service.
The food here is great. It's someplace I bring folks from out of town. It looks really low key, but I'm telling you, you won't want to miss them.
Their mango and rice dessert was soo yummy!
Great food and great customer service!
Our new favorite place to eat!
Great teas.
Friendly staff and great food
What a great place.. Great sauces.. My first trip but I'll be back
Flew into St. Louis for a one day business trip and was craving authentic Thai food (particularly Papaya Salad and Tom Yum Soup). I was pleasantly surprised that the restaurant was only a mile away from the hotel I was staying at. As a Laotian-American from California growing up with Thai and Lao Cuisine in the household- Thai Orchid reminded me of real home cooking from the Aunties. I loved every dish I ordered- Panaeng, Tom yum shrimp and papaya salad. One of the best authentic restaurants I've dined in the country.
Great food we eat here at least once every week. The honey duck is just amazing
Fist time having thai i got the puffds and frayed tofu it was awsome am a big heat person they guy at the front told me to do 10 or 15 heat next time an doing that 5stars
Enjoyed the food a lot
Hot and spicey.
I enjoyed the Thai experience. I can't wait to return and try other things.
Ive eaten here several times. Ive tried alot of the specialty menu items and they ve all been great. Today i tried the pineapple curry duck and it was absolutely amazing. This place is top notch. Highly recommend.
Great food and friendly service
Just ate lunch here. Guy working the counter and waiting tables was the perfect level of friendly for a waiter. Polite, just enough chatty to make you happy and the service itself was excellent.
The food was perfect. Only tried the pad see ew, spring roll and crab rangoon but it was all delicious. I can't wait to go back and try the duck curry!
A hidden gem in South County. There aren't a lot of tables inside so I usually get it to go. We've liked everything we've tried here, but I usually get drunken noodles and my wife usually gets cashew chicken. The portions are generous and the food is top notch. It's easy to drive past this place but don't.
Honestly one of the best Thai food experiences I have ever had and I am pretty picky when it comes to Thai food. I will be returning in the future!
So good! Ordered the pad thai w/chicken and a order of egg rolls. Love it all and the sweet and sour sauce is super good!
Tonight was my 3rd visit to this place in a month and everytime it gets better and better. 10 stars and the lady behind the counter is super nice.
I have not been let down by this place yet. This is the new Saturday noms. A whole bunch of vegetarian options. Rrally good food!
One of the best surprises so far in St. Louis. Took a chance on this little strip mall restaurant because it is close to home. I have dined here several times since. I keep getting the soups, but their pad Thai and Thai rice are also amazing.
Excellent food and service. We will definitely be returning
We love nearby and order from here regularly. Every once in a while there is something that could be better, but that's to be expected when you're ordering take out. But they're mostly very consistent and always delicious!
Pad Thai and crabrangoon is amazing. Their crabrangoon sauce is unusual but soooo sweet and sour. Kinda a honey and apple cider vinegar taste? You just have to try it! Also the Tom kha soup with chicken. Ohhhhhh so yummy!
Don't let the size of this place fool you, their food is absolutely top-notch. Don't order something spicy though unless you're sure you can actually handle spicy. They do not mess around.
