We are a Thai and Chinese fast casual restaurant serving fresh and made to order food in Springfield, MO.
Finding the great Springfield lunch is elusive. But the wait is over! Chicken special was that and more.Assortment of sauces was impressive. Note some have complained about portion size. I felt lunch portion was perfect and for price hard to beat. I got fried rice but seemed more like a soy sticky fried rice, than a traditional fried rice, but it was good, Large portions of chicken bites and fresh egg roll and a aoft drink for under $10. I had peanut sauce on side, comes with soy, sweet and sour and mustard. Had another sauce with egg roll was tasty just not sure what it was. Curbside signs were confusing gave info on ordering with app but listed a phone number that is not used to deliver curbside, app will give you when order is ready and go inside. I will be back.
Simply Thai is a quick and delicious fast food option. The online ordering makes it super convenient to grab a family meal and customize everything to our liking.
The Massaman Curry is my favorite dish but the spice level can be a little inconsistent, so ordering the chili sauce on the side is a good idea. That being said, it is packed full of flavor and the curry is just luscious.
The Drunken Noodles are flavorful and have a wonderful texture. There is also plenty of meat and veggies throughout so it's a satisfying meal on its own.
The Crab Rangoon are my favorite in town. They are absolutely packed with sweet filling and fried to a deliciously crispy light brown. I didn't notice any crab in them, but I don't really care. So if you prefer savory, crab filled Rangoon these are not for you.
I absolutely love this place!! They're close by for pickup and also deliver now! The food is always fresh, hot, and tastes amazing compared to other Oriental places. The chicken doesn't taste freezer burnt or old like other places. I'm particularly picky when it comes to these food places so this is definitely my new go too for family meal nights I cannot prepare myself. Great prices too! If you haven't tried them yet this is your sign to do so!!
Service was fast and friendly. But the restaurant was name after asian dishes but not how the food taste like Asian cooking. The drunken noodle was over salted too much sauce make the dishes bad. The magic noodle was curry but very sweet like eating spoonful of sugar over and over again can't finish the food. Steam rice was hard and we paid 48 dollar wasted.
Some of the best of not the best Asian food I have ever had. The general chicken is my favorite but I have never had anything that wasn't good. Prices are really fair for the portions of food. The staff, is always friendly.
We wanted a different menu but the same as the other place. Cashew chicken has a good amount of nuts and sauce was hot poured over pre-cooked chicken. The place was clean inside. Outside there was trash everywhere next to the building and parking area. Big turnoff was a huge dog in the seating area. Those with dog issues would have had problems. I had to wait until the dog left before I could leave. Overall it was ok.
We went there on the 21st @ 2:15 p.m. & they were closed until 4p.m.. We went on the next day around 5p.m. & they were open. They had a $7.95 special-entree, rice,. appetizer & drink. So, we got 3 of those. The cashier was very sweet. The fountain-every soda flavor was flat. I asked the cashier/order taker if they could change the CO2 & she said, yes & promptly told someone in the back. It seemed like forever before it was changed. We ate the food less than 5 minutes later. It was quite small(about the size of a Banquet $1.50-9oz.(?) sweet & sour t.v. dinner)compared to Hong Kong Inn, Hy Chi & many others, but a little less price wise. However, most of the meal was not to our liking. The chicken was moist enough, but the cashew(I think it lack oyster sauce & it definitely lack cashews) & sweet & sour sauce(was real vinegary.) & the egg rolls(besides being small) was not that tasty & drenched in this white vinegary stuff that leaked out of the dipping cup. So, if you eat like a bird &.like vinegar give them a try, but it wasn't for us. The hand & finger are for size reference(in photos)
The staff are so nice & welcoming. The food is so yummy!!

Quick and efficient carryout nice containers. The food's excellent as always. Prices are reasonable.

I get the red curry chicken! So good!

I’ve complained twice in the past few months about them making my food way too hot when I said mild. I’ve heard nothing back.
Great food and clean restaurant!
Fantastic food for a great price. Very flavorful and the Thai spicy is actually spicy. My roommate who is a pepper head actually sweats with it!
Love the drunken noodles and the peanut chicken, personally.
Went on a date for our anniversary and was recommended to try here. The food was amazing and staff was super friendly!!
Just yummmm!
Great food in an amazing atmosphere! And 100% Buddha idol-free! Also loved the 2010s pop!
This is the second time I have ordered from here recently & both times it was too spicy to eat. Both times I specified NOT thai level spicy. Nobody responds to my reviews to replace my food. The other location smells like crap.
I made a special request to make me a vegan dish which was not in their menu! They went out of their way and made me the most delicious vegan stir fry!! Love this place and the people working here are also very sweet! 🙏❤️
Great food service and price
First time there
Will definitely be back
We where so very happy to find this place. A lot ( Asian food) in Springfield is so sweet I can't eat it. This food was very good. Green Curry spicy and a tiny bit sweet just perfect. They also have a $ 5 Cashew Chicken a must get. Can't wait to go back.
Great
This place smells awful, it doesn't smell like food its indescribably disgusting though and has been there for a year or more. Everytime I pick up here I have to hold my breath.
I got 2 of $5 cashews chicken deals take out and it is delicious. I will be back guys 😊 🙏🏻
Very clean facilities, quick service and food was good.
They use non-traditional thin noodles. Skimpy on meat. I don't like the coordination of town's thai for expensive noodles. It's $1.00 noodles charging ~$13. Rip off at all Thai places.
My friend had masaman chicken curry and I had the cashew cup. Wow the cashew cup is one of the best deals! The masaman curry was delicious! Fast service, excellent food, and reasonable prices! Go try it out!

SIMPLY THAI SENT ME TO THE ER. I got horrible food poisoning that tore the lining of my intestines. When I picked up my food the inside looked sketchy and unclean, and then I got unbearably sick after 4 hours of eating their lemon chicken. I already reported this business to be investigated.
Wonderful food! Great service! Clean environment!
Good food, curry is amazing.
Love the food, but it lacks an atmosphere. I've been to Thailand and color is a big part of the experience, so I think this needs to be part of the atmosphere. Bring in bold prints of Thailand. I can definitely offer my own photography to do that. I'm local and would love to offer them at cost.
YUCK! Very disapponted, the stir fry dish was not "stir fry" , it was soggy vegetables (looked like mixed veggies that you buy at Walmart) dumped on a plates with a little warm broth. The peanut chicken was just cooked chicken was a thick lumpy paste of peanut butter dribbled over top.
Needs more Thai options. That being said, good food.
Tried the stir fry and was excellent
Ordered 2 of the orange chicken special 5.95 they charged 6.60.. also rice was stuck together and cold. Ordered 4 egg rolls only received 2. But they sure got the charge for 2 orders right. No sauce in order. Told the guy who brought out the order about the price of the chicken being wrong. I didn't know about the egg rolls at the time. He said he couldn't do anything about it. Made my last order to Simply Thai.
This is some of the best cashew chicken I've ever had. Good quality meat. Perfect cashew sauce. I'm something of a cashew chicken expert myself and this place is top quality. Also very clean and overall nice restaurant. This place is definitely a great option for tourists who want to try Springfields legendary dish of choice.
Fresh, quick and friendly.
The food is great, but will always keep me coming back is the staff. I have eaten there more than 3 dozen times, my order has been fresh and correct every time, until yesterday. I received everything but my appetizer, I didn't realize it until it was too late. The staff promptly gave me a refund and when I came in today for lunch again ( I know I have a problem lol) they recognized me and my name apologized and through in an extra order of spring rolls. A great team with excellent customer service!
we came here after our usual favorite Rama Thai has decided to raise their prices... well let me tell you this really isn't a substitute for good Thai. This is the fast food chinese version of thai and the cooks are clueless on heat level. The amount of chopped chunks of red chili peppers was shocking. most humans can't eat that. We love spicy food we typically order it a medium level but this place was just like some college kids were having fun in the kitchen or something..😃. food flavors were decent we had pad thai and basil fried rice. The BF spent the next morning and afternoon close to the toilet. Decent food should not have that affect. not returning. sorry we tried to save a few bucks. On a better note the guy working at pick up counter was super friendly and had a great attitude during a busy evening. and if you can stomach it.. the food portions were large ..
My son and I love their sesame chicken. The prices are some of the best for the quality of food you get. We will be back!
Really busy good food
First time at simply Thai and really glad I stopped in to try it out. I was hoping to get some Thai duck but it wasn’t on the menu. The cashier was friendly and very quick to recommend some comparable choices off of their menu. My order came out right after getting my drink and sitting at my table. The Thai spicy level was perfect and the food tasted great. Looking forward to my next order.
As always, the food is FANTASTIC! But, I wanted to shout out specifically to Hailey (Sorry didn't catch the spelling) she is THE best, so friendly and approachable - she made the whole experience so fun! Keep up the great work and never dull your sparkle!
Best cashew chicken for five dollars I’ve ever eaten:)
First time here and will definitely be back! Prices are excellent.
It was a night and day difference between Simply Thai and Thai Express. I had some of the best fresh Asian food when I went to Thai Express, however unfortunately Simply Thai is very much lacking in quality of food. Crab rangoons seemed chewy due to not being cooked to order and the “Cashew Craze” just seemed bland. My Thai Green Tea was superrrrr bitter which sucks because it was my favorite thing at Thai Express.
It was nice getting free soup, but that’s about the only thing I enjoyed unfortunately. Hopefully the quality goes up in the future, but for now I’ll just have to drive farther to their other restaurant Thai Express.
The crab Rangoon were fanominal the chicken was awesome
I had quite literally the worst Thai basil fried rice I’ve ever had in my life; wouldn’t recommend this dish. It should probably be removed from the menu if the kitchen can’t cook the rice properly.
Food is decent but the sauces are all waaaaaay too sweet it's overwhelming even with the Xtra spicy
Only part of the menu is available to order online so if you dont see what it is you want ( that you know is on their regular menu)even if you call to place an order for pick up immediate voice prompt says they aren't taking call in orders. Hour and a half before close. Not understanding how pick up orders can't be a thing when u don't offer the full menu online .would have loved to try them for the first time. Pity.
Got the Stir fry and it was frozen veggies as from Libbys stir fry mix and flavorless beef. Sorry but this was my only trip. I make better at home.
Egg rolls were decent but small. Cashew chicken bowl, chicken was tender but didn't like flavor of cashew sauce
Ate here Tuesday night and the guy working the counter was so rude! We were trying to ask details about the different meals and his response was “it’s noodles in sauce” then another time he said “just google it if you want to know”. We have frequented here often since opening because it’s closer to home but I feel the service has drastically gone down hill. We will not be returning to this location. I have noticed it’s rarely busy anymore and I’m starting to think the employees are a big part of that reason.
Seriously super nice staff here! Food was good crab rangoon is a little much and didn't have much flavor. Soup was not for me. Rice was gummy. First time we did take out order 4 and they didn't get out egg roles in the bag.
Dine in last visit and rice was not good. To gummy.
Cashew chicken was great and a generous pot. Crab Rangoon was the best I’d ever had.
Quick and delicious Thai food.
Food was quick, delicious, and definitely worth the price. The employees were very friendly and helpful, too.
Crab rangoons were delicious! I dont know what the syrup was ,but it was good too! When I got home 30 minutes later, drunken noodles were all stuck together and hardly any sauce, same with sesame chicken. Needed more sauce. It would be nice if you put what each dish is made with, like they do in Mexican menu items. I had no idea what to really order, because I didn't know anything about anything except a picture..spicy, not spicy, what dish was made put of, etc..

We went at an off time so there were hardly any other patrons. Food there is a little sweet for me. Though it was filling. I'll try something else next time. Great location. Easy to find.
We ordered a cashew chicken bowl and a general chicken combo and some crab Rangoon. Overall excellent food and the staff were friendly!
Egg rolls are amazing, but 2 of the 3 times I've gotten take out the chicken has been undercooked and rubbery. Both times it's been the cashew chicken.
I absolutely love this place. wonderful food.
Enjoyed their food multiple times, the Pad Thai being my favorite dish, with the Drunken noodles as a close 2nd. I recently treated my two sisters and they both loved it.
We got three meals. The Thai Chili Stir Fry, Royal Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken. We got potstickers as well. The Thai Chili sauce on the stir fry and Royal Chicken is not like any Thai chili sauce I’ve ever had. It was watery with very little flavor. I like a thick robust sauce with a lot of flavor, this wasn’t anything like that, very bland. The sweet and sour chicken was an overwhelmingly sweet sauce, no balance between the sweet and sour flavors. We all got “fried” rice with our meals and the rice resembles nothing of fried rice. No egg, no veggies, no flavor. We didn’t even eat the rice, it was bad. The best thing we had were the potstickers, they were crispy and flavorful, but again, the sauce that came with them was not good. It had a soured taste, like it had gone bad. We really wanted to like this place because the prices were decent, but we’ll go to the more authentic places when we want a real experience with Thai or Chinese food, this feels too commercialized.
One of my favorite places in Springfield. One thing that makes it the BEST is the smaller pieces of chicken in the fried chicken dishes. It is very hard to find this anywhere else, even if u ask. Good job PATRICK NETT!!
I ordered my food online I was able to control the spice level and my order was ready. Within 15 minutes. Everything was fresh and very flavorful.
Great crab Rangoons
This was our second time visiting (the first time we dined in) I must say the curbside pickup was amazing. Food was great, for a great price, and service was excellent!! We will be back!!
We had the drunkin noodles and they were mushy and stuck together. Pad thai had little to no flavor
Crazy fast. Met my mom here, she got there first, ordered, and they had it done before she sat down. Food was hot, delicious, and fresh. Crispy chicken was actually crispy! Clean restaurant and economical! Staff was friendly and professional! Will eat here again 100%!
Girlfriend and entire family got food poisoning from what we presume are the spring rolls. Careful eating here.
Had Pad Thai and fried rice, both with dry chicken and both bland. No comparison to Everyday Thai.
The food and customer service was definitely 5 star! I did mark them down because the bathrooms were kind of dirty. We had to clean / bust our own table to have a place to eat. I'm not sure if they were short on help or what, but having enough employees maybe a good thing just opening up and all. But you definitely need to give this place a try... I liked it a lot.
We went there on the 21st @ 2:15 p.m. & they were closed until 4p.m.. We went on the next day around 5p.m. & they were open. They had a $7.95 special-entree, rice,. appetizer & drink. I waited an hour for my food, to get it home and it be completely wrong. I would have checked it at the restaurant, however I was rushed to get to the next person.
Their food was really good! I highly recommend you to try it.
Stopped in for lunch and they were SLAMED. Still got a Togo order on a 20ish minute ticket time. That’s pretty great for as new as they are. Food came out very hot (temp) so you know it was freshly made, not just scooped from a pan.
Got the Sesame Chicken, and it was different. But good different! The sauce wasn’t thick gravy like every other place in town. It was light and flavorful.
The Crab Rangoon…. Probably in my top 3 I’ve ever had. They’re also very large, not the tiny little ones most place give you.
10/10 will be back again to try the Thai offerings as well.
We had the best experience at Simply Thai and I can’t stress enough how above and beyond the staff goes here! My personal favorite is the Drunken Noodles but you can’t honestly go wrong by picking anything here. Don’t be afraid to try something new! You won’t regret it! Honest great group of people running this business and would do anything for their customers! Great location and the Net Restaurant Group app is awesome!! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication Simply Thai team!!
Fast and clean little spot. Really well set up for to go orders also. Food was great
We wanted a different menu but the same as the other place. Cashew chicken has a good amount of nuts and sauce was hot poured over pre-cooked chicken. The place was clean inside. I had to wait until the dog left before I could leave. Overall it was ok.
I gave the atmosphere a 4 due to the volume of the music (too loud). Everything else was very good.
The food is amazing Service is Great.
