The food is always fresh, flavorful, and hot (both spice and heat)!!!! I always take advantage of my time in Independence and make sure that Thai Kitchen is my lunch spot!!!!!!!! It’s that crab fried rice and papaya salad!!! Add shrimp and medium heat!!! Perfection!!!!!!!!!

Our large family had a great visit to Thai Kitchen. Service was excellent. All meals were delicious. There's a huge parking lot with accessible parking. Entrance is semi-accessible. Portions are generous, we all took home leftovers. We also had dumplings and soft spring rolls for appetizers to share (not pictured).

Ordered 3 meals to go. Spice levels were mixed up on 2 dishes. Curry was inedible it was so spicy. When we contacted the restaurant for a resolution they did not offer an apology or a refund or other food.

My go to thai place in the area. Great service. Food is great and they understand and follow spice level requests! I ear here once a week.

Extremely fresh and flavorful!

Don't order through their website. Ordered food through their website, transaction shows for our bank account, but upon arrival we were sent to the drive-thru in the rudest manner possible. Not only did we have to wait for people ordering at the drive-thru, we were then told they had no order for us. We now have to try to get a refund from our bank, wasted gas money and time, and no longer wish to give business to one of our former favorite restaurants.

Thai Kitchen is a superb Thai food restaurant.
We 1st walked in and were met with smiles and pleasantries. We decided to dine in and the service was so warm and friendly... We REALLY appreciated that!
Food service was quick! & they brought us their sauce rack, which was excellent as well.
The food though! it was soooo good! I have had Thai food all over the world... except Thailand 😒 and this was up there as one of the best!

Omg! I am addicted to their basil drunken noodles and mango sweet rice. Seriously, I usually go at least once a week. Price point is reasonable for the quality and quantity. Staff is always so nice. Call in orders always ready on time too. It's a no-brainer, stop in and give it a try. You'll not be disappointed. 😁

I went in and asked for soup with shrimp, coconut and tomatoes and mushrooms as this is what I had ordered before. The young girl that spoke to me was hurriedly typing something on the screen and didn’t LISTEN to what I was saying. Unfortunately i assumed that she was listening but she typed in Coconut shrimp. Then when I went to take out the order I saw that it was wrong and was given a refund and they made a soup for me, which did not have any tomato. They are in such a hurry to take one’s money they don’t listen. Then when the young girl bought the soup out she told me not to order the coconut shrimp next time if I want the soup. If she had listened in the first place the mistake would never have happened. She was very rude. I think I will learn to make the soup myself in the future

The food here is so good! We just found this place a few days ago and have already gone twice! I’m genuinely impressed with the quality and flavor of the food. They also have gluten free soy sauce so they can make most of their dishes gluten free, which was huge for the hubs! I can’t believe they also have a drive through!

My wife and I just ate at Thai Kitchen; FANTASTIC! We ordered the Pad Gapow and Penang Curry, both medium heat. The Penang Curry was delicious with just the right amount of heat and peanut shining through. The Pad Gapow was just as good with the Thai basil tastily upfront. The egg was slightly running just the way I like it. The table was covered with a nice tablecloth and linen napkin. Service sharp. Give them a try. They won’t disappoint.

My partner and I have been here numerous times now, and each time feels better than the last. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is very nice. We have had Nancy as our waitress every time, and we absolutely adore her, and she is the primary reason we come back each time! She makes the experience excellent every single time! The Coconut Shrimp are really good. The sauce has a small amount of spice to it wish is great for the sweetness of the coconut. The pineapple fried rice was pretty bland, and even adding the spice with the spice tray, it still needs a little something extra. The Goi Tio Nua Pho is good. I really like the beef it has a good combo of broth to noodles. I like the veggies in it as well. Service was good. The atmosphere was really nice they made it very nice for the time of year.

My experience was phenomenal. I ordered a few items from this restaurant and had it delivered using DoorDash. I forgot to enter specific dietary needs in the app so I called them to let them know. Super helpful! She went above and beyond to assist. My food was delivered on time, still hot and so flavorful. I ordered the kitchen sampler, the spring rolls are a lot smaller then our usual spot but were just as tasty. The entrees were decent portions and filling. I ordered Pad Sea Eaw and yellow curry fried rice. Actually meant to order yellow curry with rice but we still enjoyed it - so good. 100% will be ordering again! Definitely recommend.

The food is amazing. It is small, and there might be a wait. The staff seemed overwhelmed. I had the crispy shrimp. It had a good mix of sweet and spicy. I got it hot and it was the perfect amount of spice.

All of my dishes were exquisite. A little pricey but such is the post-COVID restaurant age I guess… at least it’s spicy, delicious, and culturally different than the typical bbq/america. I had their crispy catfish with the Sam rod sauce. Delish. Also they kill the crab Rangoon game, 9/10.

The thing about Thai food is that it takes ALOT of time to make. If not done properly, it doesn't get the flavor profile that gives Thai cuisine its distinctive taste. This restaurant seems to have put in the effort. Good work.

What a pleasant surprise to dine here. This is a small cozy restaurant. My husband and I ate lunch. The soup is wonderful and we have tried the Penang curry and the chicken basil lunch dish. Large servings at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend this place and we have really enjoyed every dish that we've ordered

I had Grubhub delivery. This place was amazing!!!!! I had pad gapow and the Garlic and Pepper. Cant say enough about the infusion of seasoning. I will visit every time I am in town. DELICIOUS is an understatement

Best Thai restaurant in the town

I got all dressed up, and my husband took me to a restaurant that has the word kitchen in the name. I thought for sure that I would be very disappointed with dinner. Boy was I wrong! The ambience is more upscale for the area. Linen table cloths, and napkins. But the best part is that the food is amazing! I highly recommend the plum sake also. This is a new go-to for date nights!

We've been coming here the past 3 months or so and come at least twice a month for sure. The service is always prompt, kind and accommodating, we've only ever dined in and it wasn't till a couple times of coming here that we realized there was a drive through which we have yet to try. We've tried a few things, between the classic Pad Thai and Drunken noodle, to Duck Curry and most recent would be the Beef Pho. It was amazing, and I highly recommend it. All their food has always been great. Highly recommend this place.

From out of town, went to Thai Kitchen purely based on location and wanting good Thai food. Went here and was not disappointed! They had these spring rolls that had cream cheese and REAL crab meat, not the imitation stuff. And my Tom Kha was absolutely delicious and they brought it out on a warmer so it was hot til the last bite. Will definitely be returning here in the near future!

Wow, I wish I would have tried this place a long time ago!! We had a table of 5 adults and one child, so we did wait about 15 minutes before we could be seated (booths and tables both available, but smaller parties are able to get seated a little quicker.) The wait was totally worth it! Tables were presented very clean and classy. Food was AMAZING! I ordered a side of fried rice and the beef pho. Also shared 2 plates of crab rangoon, which were so creamy and delicious! Good prices and great portions. Will definitely be back!

Thai Kitchen is the best around. You'll be hard pressed to find better Thai Food in the area. The Massaman Curry is simply delicious as is my other favorite the Pad Gapow. I love spicy foods so I typically order the "Hot" spice level but I think "Thai Hot" would be too much for me. The service is always fast and the restaurant is clean. It's a great date night stop. The staff is wonderful and always kind. 10/10! My go-to spot.

My Favorite Thai Restaurant around KC....

Amazing food, great service. My niece’s first time having Thai and my my moms third, they loved it. Crispy Catfish, Yellow Curry Seafood, and Seafood Pad Thai were all fantastic. The Singha was cold and the lemon tea was yummy and rich. The mango sticky rice at for dessert was absolutely delicious. Will most definitely be returning.

Ordered Beef Drunken Noodles/Pad Kee Mao and got Tofu. I don't know if they didn't think I'd realize what it was. Called to find out about getting it refunded or replaced. The gentleman who assisted me said that I had to drive back and bring the food to get any assistance. It's a 45 min round trip drive.

I walk in and order and it’s usually done in 5-10 minutes, never any longer than that. Always delicious and they have the best crab rangoon! Great Thai tea too. Love this place!

Quality and customer service is poor. Their Thai fried was blandest thing I’ve eating in my life. I would almost wonder who’s in the back cooking this. I called and asked if this was normal to have no seasoning. Employee didn’t care and was rude. Save your money and time.

I ordered lunch online and drive thru pickup was convenient. My Chicken Pad Thai came with two crab rangoon (but probably the most disappointing "crab" rangoon I've ever had). The portion size was HUGE. If I was smart, I would have saved some for tomorrow's lunch. The chicken was cooked separately and added to the pad thai. It had very little flavor.

Based on high ratings, I have to make a point to return, maybe dine in, and try a different menu item.

The menu was well versed with all the Thai goodies like mango sticky rice, figured how could I go wrong. Pulled up to the dive thru, 32degrees & windy the convenience was much welcomed. So many people eating inside! Had no doubt this was about to be some excellent takeout. The Massaman curry HOT was right up my alley. Just enough heat to raise that metabolism. The potato & carrots paired well with the heat (why I love Massaman). Staff friendly & fast. Great resource for some authentic Thai in Independence.

The place is very clean and nice. They have cloth tablecloths and napkins, very nice place settings. You can choose the spiciness of your food and I went with medium. I had the Tom yum with tofu and it was delicious,the broth was so good. It was spicy enough to warm your lips but was not overwhelming. I also had the vegetables with chicken. It came with rice in a brown sauce and it was also very good. This would be a nice date place or just getting together with friends.

I really enjoyed my first time here. I had the chicken satays to start and it is true to its name. The peanut sauce paired very well. With a cucumber salad to cleanse your palate. Dinner was hot beef drunken noodles. The spice was perfect.
Vegetable prep for size could have been better. It reminded me more of being a cook. Not a bad thing for this type of restaurant.

My friend and I went there for the very first time today, and we had an enjoyable experience. We enjoyed our red curry, steamed dumplings, and their Thai version of Pho. Medium heat was plenty hot. Also, the lovely Thai lady who waited on us was the most courteous and friendly server we've ever dealt with. No cap. We'll definitely be coming back!

Ordered the three in one appetizer with egg rolls, crab Rangoon and spring rolls. The egg rolls were an inch thick and weren't bad, but weren't special either. The crab Rangoon, were almost like mini Rangoon's and they were made with the very thin wrapper, very tasty with a satisfying crunch of almost paper thin wrapper. The stars of the plate, however, were the spring rolls. So cold and fresh wrapped in the sticky wrapper, almost two inches thick. I would go back for a plate of those. I also ordered chicken pad Thai that was very tasty as well, possibly more spicy than what I've had elsewhere and had enough to take home. For the most part, excellent food. I will return. Their curry sounded interesting.

ordered Pad See EW and asked for no broccoli and no spice. Drove out to get it brought it home and they had ADDED things into the dish that didnt belong and it was super hot.
I called and was told they would take my dish off the total. well....its been a week and they have yet to refund the money they said they would. So if you have any allergies I would steer clear of this place. They dont listen. I would put zero stars if I could
