Curries, noodles & other Thai dishes served in a house with a colorful interior & porch seating.
Bangkok Cabin never disappoints!! My girl's family is from Thailand and they go every year. I went with her, her father and our daughter. She says the food is very authentic. I haven't been, and I can't verify personally. However, I can vouch for how great the food is and the fact that I can't stop eating until I hurt! The servers are always very nice and attentive.
We had a superb meal. Very fresh & could taste the difference of quality of ingredients. Will definitely return! Was a crazy night (new years eve) & staff a little overwhelmed, but still managed to make a nice experience.
It took more than 90 minutes to be served after being seated. We nearly left (hard to enjoy food with service like that). They seemed to be prioritizing take-out orders over diners. We were totally ignored for a terribly long time after getting our appetizers.
2 of the 3 meals were good. One was overcooked, turning the vegetables to mush and was nearly boiling hot when it finally arrived.
We won't be back.
My meal is made perfectly delicious and so so so fresh every single time, and every bite is so delectable. I always get Thai angel noodles. (Pad Woon Sen) The service is highly efficient, I love the entire wonderful staff who runs this amazing business! Some days it's the only healthy meal I eat! Thank you Bangkok cabin.
Ordered the large coconut soup and I’m pretty sure they dumped a box of sugar in it. I’m not sure who made it that day but I had to throw the whole order away.
Love this place so much
Definitely my favorite place to get a good curry in the Kennesaw area :) Highly recommend!

Cute little restaurant. They keep the menu fresh and everything is tasty.
I ordered Penang curry, it was so watery and nasty. It looked like they didn’t have enough sauce and they added water to try and make it up. I will never order again
Excellent food and service!! Very cute and nice establishment. Went here on a whim and will definitely be coming back.
7 years later update: We still love coming here!! I've rotated through many things on the menu to try. I really love the pineapple chicken curry with rice. Have yet to find something I don't like.

Enjoyed the easy listening piano and the well maintained bathroom. Laisha, our server, was a delight! Food had excellent spiciness.

OMG the food is delicious and taste like Im back in Thailand. The waitresses were very nice and the place was clean…HOWEVER! I told them I was bery sensative to MSG whoever cooks mislead the girls because there was MSG. I niw have a nerve headache tha couldve been avoided. Would have been 5 stars. If your not sensative to MSG you are good to go!
Love their food! The Pad Kee Mao is banging so full off flavor and nice heat.
My family and I have been eating at Bangkok Cabin for over 20 years, and they have never disappointed. It’s our favorite restaurant, hands down.
Good food experience/ Hot is HOT
Best Thai place in the metro!
Food was immaculate
Really nice venue
Great food! The spicy basil dishes are the best.
Amazing! We drove 30 minutes out of the way to eat here. It is worth it.
We love this place. Not much to look at from the road but the food is fresh and wonderful!!
Was ignored for an extended period of time. Waitress had came into the section multiple times within that period and didn't even glance at us. Requested honey for tea. Had to go to the counter to follow up on the request. Was given manufactured syrup and told that it's honey. Experience was disappointing and soured the taste of the food.
Wonderfully Authentic Thai food cuisine! Highly recommend!!
They burned my Thai fried rice. I took it back inside they made another one and the chicken wasn't done. This place used to be good, I would come every week for lunch. I will never return!!
Good was delicious fresh!!! Definitely worth the trip
The food was good but the ambiance was not so good, it had this old musky stuff smell.they need to either redo it, remove place in a not so expensive way and get rid of ..the odour
Always the best Thai food around. Excellent service. A little dated on the decor, but the food makes it worth the visit.
Really good food with large portion sizes and at a reasonable price. I highly recommend the Pad Ginger. My only complaint is that parking here is awful.
The food was okay, didn't like the atmosphere
Best thai food in Georgia. Atmosphere is unique but it makes sense when you taste the food.
Love the calm and intimate vibe of this place. Food was wonderful and quick. Appetizers were sooooo good! Service was excellent. Parking was easy and shaded.
7 stars because I accidentally forgot my backpack there with my wallet and my important life items in it, and they found it and kept it safe for me until we could pick it up. I’m so grateful for their help!!
Worst experience ever, over priced food that's not worth it at all. Spent 20 for white rice and peanuts. Also left out the salad that comes with the order. When I called back she just acted like she didn't care at all. Thai Mango and imperial Chinese is 100 percent better in taste, cost and customer service.
This place is awesome. Food is great and is worth what you spend. Will definitely be ordering this again
Coconut soup was so light in flavor that it tasted like hot water with a touch of coconut. Chicken in the soup tasted old. Peanut salad dressing did not have enough flavor as though they were skimping on ingredients. Will not be back.
Some of the best thai food I’ve ever had, truly stellar! I had green curry with tofu yesterday and I’ve thought about it a dozen times since then.
Been ordering from this place forever and they have been consistent. My go to place for Thai
This is not just a restaurant, it's an experience. It's like you walked up to a strangers house and they invite you inside out of kindness. The dining room is still like it was as a home, you feel welcomed. There is plenty of comfortable seating and you can feel the love and appreciation that can only be felt within a family operation.
There is a nice deck in the front, 5 or 6 tables set with chairs, everything is clean, you can watch the traffic on Cherokee as you drink.
The food is exquisite , and that feels like an understatement as I type this to describe the flavors. You know the family is Thai from the love you feel from them and it's evident they brought a bit of their country and ethos to America along with their family recipes for preparing healthy and nearly indescribable flavor into each dish. My date and I shared one of their dinner specials, "One night in Bangkok and it was beautifully delicious, the flavors of each ingredient contact making it impossible to describe with mere words.
I felt the love the family has for their patrons, you're more than a headcount here, you feel love, care, that you are a welcome, and that you are part of their family.
I am so hooked on the pad see ew, and the other things I've tried were all good! But oh man, the pad see ew... You have to try it!
I got Pad Thai during my most recent visit, and a number of months ago I got a couple other dishes. In general, they just seem to sit heavy on you. Not sure if it is too much sauce or oil. I prefer Thaicoon Marietta where the quality of the dishes stands out.
Great food and their Thai Tea is awesome. "Cabin" itself can be a little sketch though.
Updated review:
I left my original review upon my first visit. I lived in the area for almost a decade and Bangkok Cabin became one of my favorite places to visit before I moved away. My wife and I visited again today and it reminded just how awesome this place is. The food is fantastic and authentic . Which means most Americans will want the mild before trying the medium! The coconut soup is delicious, and the panang curry among the best we've ever had. I've been here many times and never once been disappointed. The "cabin" feel does strike you the first time you visit, but it grows on you and is actually rather endearing. I highly recommend you visit not just for the food but the super polite servers and still reasonable prices.
I really didn’t like that place. The atmosphere was really bad. The place smells. I didn’t like the food. But the staff was very kind and nice.
This place is great. The food is delicious and the staff is nice and prompt. The atmosphere is fun, too. Great place.
They've made a lot of improvements to the decor and feeling of the sitting area! Very cozy. The staff is friendly but inattentive 🤷♀️ the food is EVERYTHING. 😍😍
The atmosphere here is very cosy and as soon as you enter the restaurant the aromas will entice you to try everything on the menu. I had the red curry beef with rice and my wife had the Pad Thai and the flavors are so vibrant and amazing that you can’t help but savor every delicious morsel. Can’t wait to come back to try the lamb curry and drunken noodles!!
Not so busy during lunch today (Thursday). We enjoyed the pad Thai and masaman curry.
Great tastee good and service.
Crowded and hectic with limited parking. Local favorite place and good Thai Food. Definitely worth a drive over but plan to get take out if during dinner. Closed on Sundays 👏🏽🐺
Food was very spicy and service is not that good. They are in so much hurry to pushed us to order food ASAP. Not even giving time to think and decide from menu. Also tip I added was not same amount di ducted from my credit card. It was deducted more that what I given in top. That is unprofessional and unpleasant.
Good, not great. Good value
They charged me more than what I tipped on the receipt. Not coming back.
the staffs are kind, and the food are good.
The green Thai curry was amazing. I thought about it all day lol.
Small museum but nice experience
The smell of good food hits you as soon as you walk in. The parking is a bit limited though.
Great food and service in a nice house..
We went for dinner, and they were out of several things that we wanted. The chicken satay had no flavor what so ever. The pad Thai was underwhelming, and the sweet and sour pork was too sweet. Overall the food was not especially good. Then we both ended up with gastrointestinal issues. We will not eat here again.
This is by far the worst Thai food I’ve ever had. It’s somehow both overly sweet and salty at the same time. It’s kind of like when you vomit in your mouth and it’s a horrible mix of all your meals that day. That is how I would describe the flavors of the food, in particular the Pad Thai. My dad eats almost anything and he couldn’t finish his food. I’m extremely confused by all the good reviews. The staff were nice though and it’s pretty cozy. Looks like a house that has been converted into a restaurant. $15+ per entree on average it seemed.
Always excellent food and service with reasonable prices.
Great food, always consistent. Very kind staff! A MUST GO!
I am never ever disappointed by their massaman curry. So many different vegetables are included and the flavor is on point.
I highly recommend trying this place. Such a find!
This little house serves amazing Thai! Definitely go here and check it out if you haven't yet. The Thai fried rice was spectacular ❤️
Best spicy Tai in Georgia!
Amazing food–especially for spicy lovers–and great atmosphere.
Half the Chicken was so burned and tough I couldn't eat it. I suspect it was old too. Rip off.
One of the best... If you like Thai... you also have the choice of eating outside in the terrace... everything tastes like "made from scratch"... (...no "plasticky flsvors from food made w/a laundry list of artificial chemicals"...
Loved food. It’s a family owned business and very welcoming people.
Food was ok, but not the best Thai I’ve had. The Thai tea was very earthy. The pad soon sen noodles had the moth feel of chewing on a loogie. Service was slow. We split 1 entree, didn’t dilly dally eating, and we were there for about 80 minutes. I wouldn’t eat there again.
Everything on the menu is good. My favorites are the spicy basil fried rice and Bangkok noodle but honestly I’ve had the whole menu and everything is delicious. Great proportion for your money.
Food has gone downhill, still ok, service slow...
Highly recommend! Delicious, fresh, authentic cuisine & it's family owned so they truly care about the food and customer service provided. We always have a great experience - especially with Roxanne, she's the best! :)
My husband and I love this little slice of heaven! Food is always excellent and we have never had bad service! If you are a fan of Thai food, this is a must. If you have never had Thai food, you gotta go try it! We love the Cashew Nut!
This is Thai for the masses of Cobb county. I guess it’s what the people want given our 30 min wait for entrees. I left wishing I’d saved my money.
We've been coming to this place for over a decade. It is the best Thai food you can get in the metro-Atlanta area and my personal favorite place to go.
Awesome Thai cuisine!
This is an awesome little hole in the wall - wonderful for dates or gatherings with family and friends for great food. Why keep going to the same old, same old when you can check this place out? The back entry and parking are a little under assuming, but the inside is nicely decorated. The portions were also very good for the price, and we were so content when we left. We will definitely be back and bring others with us too!
Seriously some of the best Thai I’ve had in Atlanta.
Delicious!!!
First time here, had the Basil rolls which were, a 2/10 for me. Not well constructed, the roll basically just fell apart. Definitely would not order the Basil rolls again. Also ordered the Pad Thai chicken and Shrimp, which was FAVORFUL! Would definitely order this again, so it's a 7/10 for me. I would order my food to go next time, the restaurant and parking lot are both very small. The restaurant, is in a busy area of Kennesaw. The restaurant is a house, that was turned into a restaurant. For me, the restaurant, is somewhat stuffy and stale.
I asked the waiter, if he could turn on the ceiling fan, that was directly over our table, and he said, "the ceiling fan has not been cleaned and it may blow dust everywhere," after which he attempted to turn it on, but it would not work.
But as I mentioned, the Pad Thai was worth coming back for.
This place is exceptional. I enjoyed the food, the service, and the atmosphere. Very much deserving of ALL five stars.
I ordered the pad Thai with pork and shrimp with glass noodles and it was amazing. The server seemed very flustered and not very attentive. The atmosphere was very welcoming and had a soothing homey feel to it.
UPDATE July 2023:
Bumping this to a 5. I really enjoy going there. I love the soup that comes with the lunch special!
2022:
An old house refurbished into a restaurant.
Items I've tried so far:
Pineapple curry- smooth I liked it, didn't love it not spicy but that might be something I should specify when ordering
Pad thai- best I've had in Kennesaw for sure, a little on the sweet side. very fish sauce heavy, which I like but is something to note
Sweet and sour chicken- sauce was very thick and sugary popular with some but too sweet for me
Pad see Ew- good choice, light flavor
Pineapple Fried Rice- my moms favorite, she gets it everytime. has a good flavor
Ordered takeout: coconut soup, pad Thai, sweet and sour chicken. It was ready when promised. Coconut soup was very watered down (could almost see through it), chicken in soup and in pad Thai was not edible (tasted real bad), fried rice with second entree was good. Would not go there again. Many other Thai restaurants that are better.
So far I've only gotten dinner here for delivery so I won't speak to the atmosphere, but the food is delightful. I get the massaman curry with tofu, the tofu is perfectly browned on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I do prefer curries a little thicker, but all the flavors are on point.
My partner was unsure so I ordered without him the first couple times. Tonight I finally ordered some beef Thai fried rice for him, and he was convinced at the first bite. He kept saying "This is amazing," and has mumbled "That was so good," at least four times since we ate dinner twenty minutes ago. He just said it again as I typed this.
Oh and the mango with sticky rice is simple and -delectable-, I suggest eating with ice cream.
Charming local Thai restaurant in a converted house. Everything I’ve tried here has been delicious! Tom Yum soup, Spicy Basil fried rice, green curry. Will be back!
Best Thai food in Atlanta. Authentic and delicious every time
Customer service was bad, the food wasn’t even great, we left before we were even finished, do better!
We're REGULARS!!! Food is.... REALLY GOOD, FRESH, COOKED TO ORDER, and REASONABLY PRICED!! Also, it is located near downtown Kennesaw where there is an excellent ice cream shop as well (for tourists info ;-) ).
Wonderful place to share great food in great company. Thank you for a great experience!
Food is okay ish but service and atmosphere is bad!
There are flies in the dining area and server did not care much when I told about it. Dining chairs are dark and dirty. Did not feel comfortable enough with the atmosphere and service that we received!
There are much more better restaurants with similar menu!
No thanks will never visit again!!
some of the best thai food i’ve ever had!
Excellent food and atmosphere. Love thai food and everything on the menu is delicious and authentic.
Service is a bit slow, but I think that is just due to the size of the restaurant and kitchen. You may wait for your food but it's worth it. Also great as a takout spot if you don't want to wait. Just order ahead!
Still Excellent Thai Food and Staff!
Excellent food and excellent service.
Best Thai food I've had in a really long time. Served hot and fresh. Their spicy is peak! It's so good (not for the weak). Absolutely fantastic. Can't wait to go back.
I love it, food is great, service is great!!
Incredible food. Will be back
Outdated everything, bug infestations (flies and ants. Service and food was good but prefer for my food to come out hot. I wouldn't recommend the Tom yum soup or soup served with lunch. Prices are pretty high and wasn't expected for the value and quality served. Please improve!
Yum yum yum! I love their curry. I ask for it to be super mild and it was. During mango season, ask for mango sticky rice for dessert. Yum!
Only one person seemed interested in interacting with my fiance and I...We are very experienced Thai eaters. We waited a long time for our food which is usually a good sign, however not all the portions of our entree were freshly made (sticky rice) and unripe fried bananas.. Aside from some of the cold stares over all the actual meal was amazingly good. When ever Im in Kennesaw and I think of Thai...This place will remain on my radar
If you like Thai food, look no further.
Best Thai food! They make it fresh to order and are always busy, so be prepared to wait 30-45mins if you are dining in for lunch.
The best Thai place in the state
all the employees are great, Steven is always helpful and enjoyable! 😃
Super cute and quaint. Excellent service. Amazing food. 10/10 would come here again.
The definition of authentic Thai food! The wait is quite long but that’s because of how fresh the meals are! My fave items are the spring rolls and chicken cashew cuts - SO GOOD - prices are very reasonable as well
I enjoyed their food for years! It’s authentic and they made it fresh. I love their Thai tea and matcha drinks. I’m a fan of their curry dishes. Quick warning: you’ll definitely taste spice even on mild. But the food is delicious overall. Also, it will take them longer than what they'll tell you the food is ready so please be patient. I’m familiar when they say they are ready about 30 min, they are ready about 40-50 minutes but it freshly made! Highly recommended
Food was very good (5 stars) but service was slow (3 stars). I assume it was because they were pretty busy but I noticed there were people that sat down after my daughter and me and were served before us.
I hate to give this restaurant 2 stars because the food is great and the service was great.
Here is why I'm only giving 2 stars. The total for 5 of us was $99. I gave my credit card, and I got back a receipt with a total charge of $118.80. 20% more than the 99 total. They charged a tip of 20% without asking. I was going to give a $25. However, I was not given the choice, and I'm not cool with that
Excellent food and great service.
Great service.
The food and service were great and the company was even better! Will return again. Was pleasantly surprised.
Great service.
Authentic Thai cuisine! Tofu pad Thai was great!
One of my favorite spots now. So good!
Why do you accept Doordash orders if you can’t handle them? Had my order reassigned 4 times bc they were “too busy.” Ok, don’t take doordash???
I always enjoy the hospitality of Bangkok Cabin and the pad thai is the best around town.
Great food. Small space.
Wow, some of the best Thai food I've ever had!!! I stopped in to get an order of Beef Massaman. When I tried to order it Thai Hot, the lady gave me a look and said, "you been here before? We're authentic. You sure?" LOL! She wasn't joking! It was actually SPICY to my liking, which I can never seem to get at any other Thai restaurant in the area. SO DELICIOUS. This is my new go-to place. LOVE IT.
basil fried rice yummy
Pad thai spicy was great, and my Thai tea was amazing and I'm picky about my Thai tea so yall know it's good.
We used to come here once every 1-2 weeks. We loved this place! The food is great, but the service has continuously gotten worse over the last several months. We always decided it was worth it and even introduced others to it-always defending the slow service bc they were “the best food”. Today we walked out though after sitting for quite a while without even drink orders. We were the only people there an hour before lunch service was over and a server (who also seated us) was on his phone when we left. He could have easily taken our order when he seated us. They never asked for drinks or anything. If you decide to eat here and you’re hungry I suggest you order at the front before you sit down. Otherwise prepare for 60-90-minute lunch. If you do have the time, the food is delicious.
Amazing food! Highly recommend the Thai Fried Rice. We will definitely be going back.
Been coming for a long time & love it every time. Always consistent and food is SO GOOD.
Love the food! Friendly staff. Be prepared to wait!
The food is tasty, and you can tell its more authentic than others in the area. The venue is in a house, so dine in seating is limited. Its a packed evening on weekends. Recommend the Thai fried rice ( order it hot), the papaya salad, pad thai with shrimp (order it hot), and Pad Bai Kra Pow with chicken stir fry.
If you want authentic this is the place. I have been looking for a place that makes beef nam tok the correct way. Theirs is by far the one of the best that I have had and they know what Thai spicy means. The basil fried rice is just as perfect. One of the most authentic Thai places that I have found. This is a new go to for our family. Even the picky kid loves everything and tried new things. :)
The Thai tasting experience that Bangkok Cabin offers is among the best in our community. Balancing spice and flavour in every entree is no simple task, but is certainly something they do exceedingly well. The layout of the dining area offers a slight sense of small room privacy while still maintaining sufficient seating for their guests.
While the food is ok, there are better options in Kennesaw and Acworth. My reason for the review is that in the winter they have no heat. Workers are wearing jackets to serv. This past summer they had no AC, doors open with fans. Not sure I’ll test it out again.
🔥 🔥 🔥
The food is excellent. I hadn't eaten here in a few years. The quality has not diminished. I love it!
I fell in love with the restaurant years ago but know they have a young male manger and he is rude my order was wrong and his response was. “I can’t come bring you the right order” who says that?
Absolutely delicious!!
Friendly staff and would recommend this place to others.
Great fried rice!
The food was great, I’d recommend the cashew chicken. The only thing is my groin was pretty sore the next few days. See what I did there?
The environment and design of the place felt so comforting and warm. The staff were all so wonderful and accommodating. Without our food restrictions (vegetarian), they helped us with finding delicious Thai food. As for the food, the Pad thai had a great sweet and sour combo while the Pad Kee Mao had a good kick and savory flavor. The Thai coffee was the perfect amount of sweet too. Definitely visit this place if you are in the area!!!
The food here is great! The service can be slow sometimes, but that's usually because they're just so popular they're busy. The parking is a bit tight in the back, so I reccomend carpooling if you're going to be with a group. There is some outdoor seating.
