Best Thai Food in STL! Hands Down! Excellent service! Kitchen is super fast! Love it!

I’ve visited a couple times now and will be coming back again! Manee Thai can be found in a strip along Manchester. It’s an unassuming, unfussy thai eatery with a simple menu. I’ve had the drunken noodles and the green curry noodles so far, and both were absolutely delicious! They come in big portions with a chicken rice soup, and a crab rangoon! I have also had the thai tea here, which is made in-store, not from a mix!
I’ve brought large groups both times, and the food came out super quickly! The owner has always been friendly to us, and I believe his family also helps out.
Anyway, this is definitely a regular spot for me! The food is great, reasonably priced, and quick!

i have to start this off with an apology to the staff.. i thought my tip was added to my electronic charge (it was not as far as i'm aware 🥲) will be tipping double next time i come in!!!!! everyone that served my friend and i was so sweet and welcoming, and the food came really, really quickly. i was actually shocked at how fast it came out 😭 we got the drunken noodle lunch special w/ shrimp and the fresh summer rolls and everything was delicious. the inside of the restaurant was also very clean and nice and just generally very well-decorated and the staff are very accommodating and sweet if you need anything extra or any help 🙏 one of my favorite thai places now im so serious

Ordered take out for our family tonight- one of my dishes tasted very hot(to me). The owner was so beyond kind, remedied the situation, and told me about how they never know how hot their peppers will be so it can vary on the spice level. Such great information! Such a kind staff! We absolutely love this place and have ordered from them well over 10 times! It’s our go to Thai spot.

Stopped by to pick up a food order. Waited for over 15 minutes and saw 3 people pick up their food and have 2 parties sat, food ordered and delivered to the table before I actually receiving my food.

the food was really good, one of the better pad thai’s i’ve had in the area & the portion was good too.
the staff were friendly & quick to greet me.

Got takeout. Pineapple fried rice was just ok . Chicken super dry and huge chunks of pineapple.

Food is okay waiter was so rude . Followed us to the car demanding more than 10 % . Serving hot food with no warning my friend lost the skin of his upper mouth. Did not offer an apology.I will not recommend that place to no one. They know nothing about customer service.

Spring rolls are to die for. Portions are huge so bring someone to share or be prepared to have lunch the next day. Drunken noodles can’t be beat.

The tip amount is our choice and we can give 1 dollar or 50 dollars. we had the dine in yesterday and paid the final bill and after looking at the tip amount the owner started asking why did we pay less tip and was bit rough in his argument. Is he giving food free of cost?

The food is amazing. They offer many menu options and it was hard to decide. We started with fresh rolls that were served with a house made sweet n sour sauce that u would dip a shoe in and eat, amazing. For entrees we had the spicy garlic stir fry and the Thai basil fried rice. The portion were enough for 2 meals and I like to eat. I tried it my dish at a 3/5 spice level and it made me sweat. And I like spicy food. Next time I'll try a 2.
The server was very helpful, even offered my a beverage to reduce the heat. The at.osphere had a lot of thai I spiced decoratios without going over the tip like some places do.

We had the fried tofu appetizer with this yummy peanut sweet sauce and the ginger chicken stir fry with vegetables, delish!portions were big enough to split.went on a Monday and service was perfect,pinot Grigio was good and my husband liked the thai bottled beer.we will be back!Also, they had alot of pick up orders and it started getting busier by the time we left around 630.The weekends probably get busier?Prices were great

Server tried to embarrass my friend publicly criticizing how much tip he gave.

My friends and I had dinner there! Food was good, and the waiter came to table couple times filled up our water. But at the end, waiter questioned me in the PUBLIC LOUDLY “you only tip 10%?” Waiter was peer pressure the tip that I gave.

Dropped in with the wife for dinner. Really pleasant service. Drunken Noodle, good. Red Curry, also good. Reasonable prices and good bang for your buck. I'm a young man and I was able to get 2 full meals out of one Drunken Noodle serving. Next time we want Thai, we'll be back here. Thanks.

Service and food were excellent. The wait staff took in stride a spilled beverage and noted the need for a take-home container before being asked for one.

We tried to go somewhere on a Saturday night without a reservation (I k.ow our bad) but they got us right in and seated.

The food is amazing! The service is great! Nott is my favorite. Pad Thai, Pad-see Ew, Drunken Noodles are all must try. Do not sleep on the house salad. Gluten free people rejoice as almost the entire menu is safe. We love it here

Worst food and bad customer service especially by a mid aged male server. Never had such a thai food experience. Won't go there again or recommend it to anyone. Instead of accepting the fact and fixing the dishes, he started asking to pay for them even though we took just two bites out of the dishes and immediately informed him to fix the dishes or replace them. He expected us to pay him for his bad food. There are other thai food restaurants, please go there and save your time and money.

This place was great. Nice clean inside and food was awesome! Super friendly staff, even on a Tuesday. This place was empty when we showed up right at 5, but quickly filled up. Obvious we arent the only ones that liked it. Super affordable for the large portion sizes. Lunch will be great tomorrow

My wife and I stopped in at Manee Thai for the first time and will definitely be returning.... easily the best crab Rangoon and sweet and sour chicken I've ever had... the soup was excellent with the lunch special... the wife got drunken noodle and felt the same....absolutely impressed.... I generally do not leave reviews but couldn't not tip the hat here... service was prompt and friendly...entire staff was friendly..... we do not live close by, but will drive the extra miles for sure....

Me and my wife try to go every once in awhile. But they do a good job and I never had good rice or noodles than this place. I would pick this place over any Chinese food

This used to be my favorite place to eat but I stopped eating there for a few months because I found hair in my food. And it just kind of grossed me out. Well I went back today for lunch. And as soon as I opened my food there was a black hair inside the soup container. No big deal.I dumped it out.I rinsed it. And then I used it to put my rice and my eggplant stuff in.. And as I was eating it there was also a hair in my rice. I have blondish brown hair and it's over a foot long. And i'm the only person that's ever been in my car. And this hair was short and black.

I ended up throwing it out. Because one okay, two no. I know with Styrofoam alot of stuff sticks to it. But you all really should be cleaning them off. I did try and call but you were closed.

Generous portions, attentive, helpful service and relaxing ambiance. My fave is the fried rice with shrimp. Subtle blending of spices that melt in your mouth.

Me and my partner have been coming here for over 6 months and have never been disappointed. All of their dishes are delicious. The portion size for the price you pay is amazing. The server is spectacular, our waiter remembered us since the first time we came in.

The food is OK it's not the best Thai restaurant however it's OK but they tell you a half hour or 20 minutes it wants to be an hour to pick up your food... It would be better if they were honest

The food was absolutely incredible. Food was so flavorful and they were so hospitable and kind. Excellent service. So glad we stopped in. We had Tom yum soup, spicy basil and chicken stir fry, and the thai shrimp tempura and it was all delicious and very generous portions.

Got take out. The food was wonderful and reasonably priced compared to other area Thai restaurants. Got a curry, pad thai, and chicken with broccoli. They may need to fine tune the estimated pickup time as my food was estimated for 45 minutes, but after 20 minutes, I got a text saying it was ready. Unfortunately for me, I did not look at my texts until I was getting ready to leave. The food was still good despite it sitting for about 25 minutes. Will be back again!

Don't use their websites 'order online' app. I arrived almost an hour after putting in the online order and the restaurant had just received the order - leaving me to wait another 45m.

I think the app also tacks on a fee.

I love this place. I usually get takeout but this time we dined in with a group of four of us. I got my usual favorite of yellow curry with chicken with no onions and it did not disappoint. Other people at the table had their pork fried rice which was interesting and had raisins and cashews in it. Someone else had massaman Curry. We shared a chicken puff appetizer pastry I can't remember the name of it but it was very good. Even their drinks are good we had a Thai tea.
Highly recommend this place for their food

Despite repeatedly specifying my vegetarian dietary preference, I found myself served chicken soup in the lunch combo. Rather than acknowledging the mistake and extending an apology, they told me that its the standard way of preparing soups. This evident lack of responsibility in informing customers about the ingredients, despite my explicit mention of being vegetarian. The discourteous behavior exhibited by both the staff. overall quality of service, leaving me with a negative impression and i will never go back to this place again.

Food is amazing and well priced for the quality. Might be an unassuming place but I'd recommend it to anyone who loves Thai. You choose the spice level. The people who work there are also super friendly and always smiling.

Terrible service. Good horrendous. Stay away. Why is “0” stars not an option?

Food is not too bad. I picked up food yesterday and came home to find out that a main dish is missing. This happened twice with me. Always check your bag if you order directly from them. If you order from food delivery, I guess you can nag about that to the delivery service.

What bothered me the most is that when I called them to let them know this happened; they said that next i should mention this to them so they won't forget about it, no apologies not even and hey I am sorry that happened.

Delicious Thai food!

I just tried this place out a few months ago and I have since been addicted. Their red curry lunch special is to die for. It has become my new go to comfort food. The staff is so friendly! They remember me when I come in and they remember I never take soup with my order. Their mango sticky rice is absolute heaven!!!

Have ordered yellow curry twice now from Door Dash and it is fantastic!

Recently had an order from Manee delivered by DoorDash. We ordered red curry with vegetables, red curry with chicken, salmon ginger sauce, Thai vegetable fried rice, crispy spring rolls, tofu soup, and sweet sticky rice with mango. The food was good... nobody was disappointed. However, I made the mistake of ordering a diet Pepsi as well. I was expecting to receive a bottle or can, but instead received a plastic cup with an unsealed lid (straw hole on top). That would have been doable, but they packed the soda in a bag with warm food items. So, the Pepsi obviously leaked from the cup and was warmed by the food. By all means, try their food, but if you're having your food delivered, don't order a soda.

I don’t know what happened to this restaurant but food here is barely eatable now. Very watered down curries, tom kha, plastic-y pad see ew. And they fight for tips, force you to pay even if you don’t like the food or service. Avoid this place, there are much better Thai choices in the area.

Restaurant claims to be allergy-friendly and notes to list allergens so they can accommodate, but they do not accommodate individuals with food allergies. Instead, they send a notice indicating that the meal requesting allergen accommodations cannot be met and if a response is not received to remove the order or "fix" the allergen request within 10 minutes, the entire order will be cancelled. Manee Thai you need to remove your claim that you are an allergy-friendly restaurant, as it is a false claim.

Food was exceptional. Loved the spring rolls and won tons. Decent wine for a Thai restaurant. Service was very good despite a storm causing internet issues.

The best place to get Thai food.

I love their unique house special dishes. Such as the peppercorn catfish, basil lamb, and curry duck. The staff is kind, fast, and hard working. The curries are yummy and the crispy spring rolls are the crispiest!

They struggled through COVID, closed their dining room and lived off of contactless delivery services. But now that everything has opened up again they still have 3 whole tables dedicated to Doordash, GrubHub, etc and it takes away from their previous really nice fine dining atmosphere. I miss the way this Wonderful Restaurant looked previously...

Review = -5. Food is below average, lack of service. We had a situation where we didn’t like the food & service. We didn’t give any tip, while our way to our car the guy who was serving came to us shouting for not writing any tip. We said we didn’t like the either the service or Food on top of it It is our wish to give TIP or not. He was saying from next please place a pickup order, don’t come for dine-in.

Update 6/15/23..Still very good and very good service. The restaurant could use some touch up and updating and a large space is still given out to delivery, with drivers coming and going. But I will still continue to visit.

Thai curry we asked to have 4 ,in terms of spicy,it was Sweet and the person asked me where is the tip,why are not giving tip,is this expected. Very sad to take my family there surprised to see and forcing us to pay tip at least 15 or 20% 😞😞😞

Staff is not friendly, make sure you pickup egg shells from the rice...just lot of onions, no salt and spice

I absolutely love Manee Thai. I order it frequently at my office. My favorite thing is the Red Cury lunch special! You get so much food. It's delicious every time and always delivered HOT.

Decent place but the food took basically an hour and I waited for 40 mins inside the place for the food and it wasn’t even busy.

Si nos gusta su comida aunque a veces pareciera que como saben que su comida es buena su atención al cliente es indiferente ósea ya sirven por servir pero no les interesan los clientes . cada semana vamos pero hace como tres semanas pedí un postre que siempre pido y estaba súper simple y le se notaba que no lo probaron o lo hicieron a la carrera. La verdad me desilusiono mucho.

Food is not great, reduced portion size , chicken in chow mein is not well cooked.
Rude and disrespectful people and they demand about 15-20% tip with no great service.

I have eaten inside the restaurant once and ordered delivery 3 times in the last 2 1/2 months. The first 2 experiences were great, the food was hot and tasty. The last two times have been bad. They failed to include requested utensils (I ordered from work) and the food just wasn't tasty, missing spices and vegetables that were in the food descriptions. For as much as my friend and I paid (over $50 for a meal for 2 people), I'm extremely disappointed. Don't believe I'll be ordering from them again.

Please check to make sure that your to go orders have the right items before you leave the restaurant. I got all the way home to find they put in tom yum soup instead of tom kha. The person who took my order on the phone even repeated it back to me. Very disappointed.

Great Thai food

Shrimp pad Thai had big juicy shrimp and the dish had good flavor. Thai basil fried rice was also good and both had a good amount of spice. The calamari was ok and the chicken was dry. But very polite service that was quick in a nice atmosphere.

So, the food is exceptional. But if you arrive before closing (up to an hour), they will kick you out when they close. A little disappointing! But other than that I would give it 5 stars. Class act food and service!

The best Thai restaurant!

The blandest Thai food ive ever had. Zero expected punchy thai flavors for any of the dishes, dry old chicken and pork used in the pad thai and the stir fry. Thom yum tasted like nothing, loaded with raw mushrooms(they werent even the ones youd usually find in a thom yum) unacceptable.

This was a lovely lunch experience. Very good food with generous portions. Attentive service. Think it is a wonderful lunch special at a great price.

More ice than tea in the Thai tea. Summer rolls chewy, almost without taste. Chicken in Red Curry was not tender. Mediocre food for $25.

The food is amazeballs, you won't be disappointed. The heat scale is Thai level, not American IMHO, so go lower than normal.

I ordered Panang Curry. The potatoes were completely raw. Sent it back. The waiter brought it back and they were still raw. I ordered from the lunch menu a gluten free meal, but it came with gluten sides and no substitutions were allowed. We ended up just leaving most of our meal on the table. Terrible experience. Will not be back!

Ordered a chicken Masaman curry and cream cheese angels (crab-free Rangoon) via DoorDash. Really enjoyed it! Got a spice level of 3 (out of 5) which I thought was just right but my wife thought was a tad too hot, so I’ll get 2 next time. The curry was good overall, but the potatoes weren’t very tender and the chicken was just okay, but the flavors were great.

I’ll definitely order from here again!

Best Thai food I’ve ever had. Chicken Pad Thai was 👌.

Very strong value in the lunch specials here at around $10 including soup, small spring roll, crab rangoon. However, 4 star quality.

The drunken noodle was a 4/5 on flavor and quality. Needed more Thai basil and vegetables, and the tofu was overcooked.

The included crab rangoon was tough and dried out, certainly way past any discernable tastiness it may have once possessed.

The included spring roll was small and bland, nondescript Chinese food quality.

The included soup wasn't bad. Tasted very strongly of chicken broth with a few carrots and scallions tossed in. Could have done without the weird little ground chicken bits mixed in the rice at the bottom. Restaurant owner, just save your money and skip the low quality chicken bits, and use chicken or veggie broth in place.

I might return to try the curry, but it's pretty clear what the value proposition is here.

I order here at least once a week. The only thing higher quality than the food is the outstanding and friendly customer service they provide. I highly recommend the massaman curry and the pad thai. Their lunch special is also an amazing deal! So if you want delicious Thai food and good service, without breaking the bank, this may be the place for you.

Manee Thai is solid Thai food. We had the raw papaya salad that a nice blend of hot and sweet; very good. The summer rolls with the marinated tofu were some of the best (and biggest) spring rolls I have eaten and the plum dipping sauce was very good as well. The green curry was pretty standard, not super but not bad, but it arrived via grubhub hot and plentiful and spiced just right for us. Would go again.

my husband and i have been going to this place for years since we discovered it. the owners are so wonderful and nice and the food is so amazingly delicious. definitely stop by if you're looking for an authentic thai food! we like to get the yellow curry, drunken noodles, and e-san sausage. everything is just superb every time!

We just moved here from Florida and sought a great Thai restaurant. This place had a great rating so we decided to try it. The food was awful, lacked flavor, and was pricey. I’m not sure what folks down here consider good food…. But this certainly isn’t one of these establishments.

Best Thai place around. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. If you have not tried the pineapple fried rice you should.

These people are so rude they have no customer service so why be in food business if you can’t even speak properly….sad

Attempted to have lunch there after hearing wonderful reviews of the food. However, upon arrival, signage on the door advise to wear a mask, and their dining room was closed. Only patio dining was offered. On a chilly and windy day, that was not an option so we went to another Thai restaurant in the area.

Tasted terrible. Ordered a terrible pad thai, an awful green curry made with pasta for God knows what reason, it was soggy and gross and the worst larb I've ever tasted in my life.
Picked the shrimp and threw everything else away. Don't spend your money here. This was awful. I've eaten Thai food dozens of times from restaurants all over the world and this was by far the worst I've ever tasted.

Food portions are large and delicious.

The best Thai cuisine around with great service. Even my out of town friends put Manee Thai on their must stop in for a meal list when they're in town.

We had the Salmon, which is fantastic!

First time eating here and we ordered Red Curry (delicious and not too spicy!!), pineapple fried rice w chicken (also super good!!), and pad Thai w chicken (less flavor in this one but still good)

I recommend the Pho Kha. Maybe get some rice too go along with it.

The Pad Thai was very good. It would have been better if it came with peanuts and a lime.

Spicy beef was great, the chicken and pork pad thai was ok.

We ordered Namtok Beef, Green Curry and Red Curry. While eating the Namtok Beef, I bit on a rusty metal screw. I couldn't believe that was in the food. I called the restaurant and they wanted to credit us for the Namtok Beef. We won't even risk eating the other dishes. I do not trust the quality control from the restaurant. It also worries me that the owner didn't seem that concerned to look into what is going on in the kitchen for something like that to happen.
