I recommend this restaurant. I took my family from Iowa here to eat the Thai boat noodles and my daughter had the Pad Krapow Gai. We enjoyed our meal because it was so delicious and tasted just like Thailand especially the noodles and the rich broth. I promise I will bring my family back for sure.

Craving pho or fried rice or a Phat kaphrao? The food here was great. The boat noodles were well made and deliciously seasoned. If you are boat noodle enthusiast, try it here without any regrets, especially if you're in this part of town.

The spring rolls were very well made and made very fresh as you can feel the texture of the crunching cucumber and other ingredients. You won't find a day old spring rolls here!

The Pad Kra Pao was great. It is on the spicier side, so let the waiter know if you are not a fan of spicey foods... but it should be had how it's cooked bc that's how it should be eaten! The amount of protein you get is very generous, and it was almost difficult to finish by yourself.

Parking is shared with other businesses. You have the choice of paid parking on the street of free parking east of the building. The parking lot is easy to navigate through, but come early if you want to snag a parking spot. If you can't find a parking spot, there is street parking available.

Overall, a great spot to fill up your Thai cravings.

Authentic Thai Food. Fresh and tasty food with a great service. We recommend the Crispy Fish!

The place has a hole in the wall vibe but the food is swanky. Multple whole fish options, which I'm always excited to see. The crispy fish was indeed crispy, and was flavorful and moist. Papaya salad was great too, and had a kick. For the quality of the food the price is excellent too.

Personally was not a fan of the Thai boat noodles. My favorites are the papaya salad, chicken wings, and wontons. The fried rice was decent as well.

In a city filled with quality pho, it is shockingly hard to find a decent bowl of Thai boat noodles. Finally, what University Ave. needed— a restaurant focusing on guay tiaw that hits the mark. Be sure to try Moo Manao noodle soup if you like spice!

The boat noodles weren't that good. Comparing it to Karen Thai boat noodles. It was kinda of bland and bitter. The meat tasted expired. Spring rolls were average. The raw laab was okay, and cookes laab was a disappointment.

Diner Review №13

Boat noodle was delicious. I like how they added greens, comes with good portions too. Will definitely be back!

Just went there for the first time today. I ordered pad see ew. I’ve been to Thailand before and this tasted like I was in Bangkok. Very authentic. And the owners are very nice too.

Diner Review №15

Pho broth had plenty of flavour, and the portion is generous. Raw laab and Papaya were also sleep hits. Definitely recommend it and will be back again.

I had a hungover from the weekend, and so I order other food and I also got the thai boat noodle, and the thai boat noodle was very delicious. I recommend for people to go try the thai boat noodle! I also added spicy pepper chili oil (not the dry pepper one) on my boat noodle bowl and stir; it was delicious. I will return again! It was such a hot day and the restaurant does have air conditioner in there which I really liked. Staff are nice. Food came out on time.

The noodle was veryyyy long and beautiful!!! No noodles were broken in mines at all! I love the noodles. Meats were just the right quantity. Just this one bowl of boat noodle, and I'm perfectly full already. I love the beautiful long noodles 🍜 please keep the noodles long and beautiful this way!! Yumyum. Will be back as a customer.

We traveled over an hour to eat here, well worth the travel. The Thai boat noodle 🔥!

Why this place isn't packed on a daily basis is beyond me. Pretty newly opened and the food is phenomenal. Try the papaya salad and the spring rolls. Both are the best I've had. And definitely don't sleep on the beef blood broth pho. I can't wait to try the whole menu. In 2 weeks' time, I've had the papaya salad 4 times.

Diner Review №19

Best Boat noodle and raw Laab I’ve had. Spring rolls were good too. Had like half their menu items and all of it is good. Menu is bigger than the ones in the photos. Everyone should go give it a try.

Diner Review №20

It’s a small little business. Everything we had was good. I was very surprised. Definitely would recommend if you are looking for some good boat noodles or pho.

Waited 30 minutes without water while waiting to take orders. After taking down my order, they brought me majority of the food and missed one of my order. All I have to say is, people are hyping up this place too much.. Do better or people won’t be coming back.

Diner Review №23

Great place! Came all the way from California and this was the best spot in town

Diner Review №24

Smaller restaurant but the boat noodles is to die for! I love the watercress instead of the bok choy. Owners and servers are attentive and wonderful.

Diner Review №25

They have the best raw laab I've had in the cities!

Diner Review №26

Not very much selections. The dry noodle was a bitter, overly sweet. Thai boat noodle was too salty and too much blood. I dined in. There was barely any meat in the noodle. I do not recommend. If your up for boat noodle this place may be for you. But I'm not a fan of too much of the blood.

Diner Review №27

Came here twice in a roll! I had boat noodle soup and the flavor was great! I added a lot of chili vinegar and it's similar to what i eat in Thailand.

You're stopping here to get the Thai boat noodle dish here, so make sure you get that! Despite being a smaller restaurant with limited seating, it has fast and prompt service. The owner/chef, Teng, stopped by to check in on how the food tasted as well. Wishing the business much success in the future.

Diner Review №30

Teng and his crew makes the best food hands down! Always love and enjoyed eating his food!

Diner Review №31

Great food and service. Had the beef teriyaki bowl and boat noodle soup. Beef teriyaki is more of a Korean style bowl with kimchi and it was great. Boat noodle soup was great. Awesome flavor. Did have to add some heat but it’s nice to be able to customize the heat to my preference. Spring rolls also very fresh and good.

Diner Review №32

Short menu of very good, authentic, Thai noodle dishes. The boat noodles and tom yum here are a big step up from what you get elsewhere.

Diner Review №33

Place is small but good service from the owner. Food is good, boat noodle is ok tasting. The watercress gives it a different texture from the original bachoy you'll find in thaiboats. The beef teriyaki is very good. The sauce and mixed with egg yolk over rice is mouthwatering good.

Diner Review №34

It's a very clean restaurant. The food was delicious.

Diner Review №35

I happened upon Thai Boat 89 while walking towards iPho on University for lunch and thought I’d give it a try. I ordered the Thai Bowl ($14) and fresh Spring Rolls ($6) - picture attached and was quite pleasantly surprised by the amount of flavor in the broth and the portion size. The staff is friendly and the restaurant was clean. Excited to come back to try other dishes as well.

Diner Review №36

Best noodles in town and nice people. The price is very good and service needs improvement but still better than some other places. Lots of pho in one bowl, always full coming back home. They have the food platter for special order, it contains lots of good food, feed up to 8 people. Will come and eat again and again.

Diner Review №37

Food was pretty good. Very beefy Thai boat noodles. Would definitely try again in near future.
