I typically don’t do reviews especially for a restaurant BUUUT…

If you're looking for an exceptional dining experience, look no further than Roat Osha! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm atmosphere and attentive service. The food is nothing short of spectacular—everything is fresh and perfectly seasoned, showcasing the bold flavors that Thai cuisine is known for.

Their portions are generous, ensuring you leave feeling satisfied and happy. And let me tell you, the spring rolls are simply the best I've ever had—hands down! I challenge anyone to find fresher or more delicious spring rolls anywhere else. No, seriously. Bring it!

In fact, I’m willing to put my money where my mouth is, not only does Roat Osha serve the best spring rolls, but I also challenge anyone to prove there’s a better Thai restaurant in Minnesota. Bring it on! Let’s go!

Diner Review №2

Best Thai food in the state. Staff is exceptional.

Diner Review №3

I went to Roat Osha yesterday and had an amazing experience! The service was outstanding—Lily was fantastic and gave us excellent food recommendations. We tried the fresh spring rolls, fried spring rolls, and Mee Kah Tee. Everything was absolutely delicious! We’ll definitely be going back soon.

My husband and I went here for dinner last night after going to a show at the grenada theater. The food was amazing! We had the pad thai, cashew chicken, and their signature dish the Mee Kah Tee and were blown away how flavorful and wonderful the food was, also how personable Lily was! She made us feel super welcome & helped answer questions on the menu. The environment is so beautiful it's like an art gallery in there. Everywhere you look is spectacular carvings and paintings. Loved the entire experience and we will definitely be back to explore the amazing menu!

Diner Review №8

My husband and I had a wonderful dining experience here. The fried shrimp rolls, pho and Mee Kah Teeh were delicious. You also cannot leave without the mango sticky rice!

Diner Review №9

Nestled away at Lake St and Hennepin, Roat Osha is the most wonderful Thai restaurant I didn’t even know existed!!! In all honesty, was hoping to got to Sushi Tango, but the eatery downstairs was the only place open in the building.

I’m happy the sushi shop was closed. The food was delicious. I personally enjoy my Thai food nice and spicy, but my dinner guest has a sensitive stomach and we shared a plate. The Pad Thai Seafood Platter, even without heat, was some of the sweetest rice noodles topped with wonderfully tender seafood.

The staff, the service, the food was all beyond expectation. I hope to see the place MUCH busier next time I stop in.

Thank you for the wonderful dinner!!!!

This place used to be one of my favorite spots in the city. It has been on a steady decline for some amount of time. I have them another shot as I’m sick and it’s close to me. They told me 20 minutes over the phone and essentially hung up on me just for it to not be ready when I arrived and waited almost double that time for the food. Food is decent but it used to be so much better. And the employees used to be so much more genuine. Just feels like they don’t really care about their customers anymore and it shows in the overall experience.

Diner Review №13

We’ve been coming here for years and it’s always great. The egg noodle curry is my favorite dish and I have a hard time ordering anything else, but whenever I do, or when my companions share (beef salad was a recent hit!) the dishes are also fantastic.

Diner Review №14

While I'm sure that all places that serve food have rodents, etc... How nasty is your establishment to have a roach join you during your meal?! Yes, that is a roach! Gross and to make matters worse is that the waiter treated it like it was nothing!

My sister had her birthday party here and we had such a great time! The staff were very friendly and understanding. We had alot of people and they made sure everyone had their food and drinks! The food and drinks were amazing, my favorite drink was the Sunrise Lemon Drop.. it was 10/10! The Chicken Thai Fried Rice and every flavor of the Wontons were so good! We are forsure coming back here again!

Diner Review №19

This place is good!! And the wait staff are the kindest!

Diner Review №20

This is my favorite thai place in Uptown! Absolute favs are the drunken noodles and pineapple chicken curry!! 🐐

Diner Review №21

Such nice people running the place, always so kind and they make great food!

Diner Review №22

Very good Thai food. The red curry with chicken was excellent and take out portion was generous. Drunken noodles were okay and will try something else next time.

Diner Review №23

We got take-out and really liked everything we got — it definitely tasted like above-average Thai food. Plus, the woman with the headset who gave us our order was super pleasant and welcoming. It felt like she sincerely cared about our experience.

Diner Review №24

Unless you are going in person do not bother. Multiple times now we have placed delivery orders and not received the full order. No accountability or help from the restaurant. Delivery service (Uber) says they are delivering what was provided and restaurant insists they filled full order. Neither restaurant nor delivery service make any steps to correct the issue, apologize, or show an ounce of concern or customer service.

Diner Review №25

Hands down, best Thai food since sweet basil in Brooklyn Park,MN closed. They’re using fresh ingredients and you can tell! Per opinion the Cranberry Wonton, Grilled Beef Jerky and Thai Basil fried rice is Bussin. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. This place is top tier for Thai and highly recommended

Diner Review №26

The flavor of the mee-kah-tee (probably spelt wrong) is one of my favorite dishes.

Diner Review №28

We went here for our 6 month anniversary. This location is as beautiful as I remember. The seating g was comfortable and the decor and music were just right. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, the cocktails were astounding, and the food was amazing. Being able to use the parking ramp was super convenient. Overall, this was top notch, and we will gladly come here again.

Diner Review №29

Fantastic food, great location, friendly service, and amazing value with huge proportions all with a beautiful atmosphere of cultural art!

Diner Review №30

Very nice food. The drink (especially the bloody Mary was amazing). I ordered vegetarian food (pineapple fried rice) and the steamed dumplings. Perfectly cooked and very tasty.

Diner Review №31

Excellent food and service.

Diner Review №32

First time and I’m definitely coming back! The food was top tier at a good price! Thank you Alex

Diner Review №33

I used to be a regular customer at Roat Osha when it was located on 27th and Hennepin, no matter what I ordered, it was delicious. Now the food has become increasingly inconsistent, the portions vary and the amount of protein has drastically decreased per serving which is ok, but the quality is now awful. I will never spend another penny there.. The shrimp in my order was raw.. i spit it out and put it on the edge of my plate and let the owner know it was raw.. I didn't want my food remade and was ok taking it home to cook to my liking but he insisted that he would use my raw shrimp as a "teaching" moment for the chef.. He brought out my now thoroughly cooked fried rice and boxed it up for me to go. He had even reheated the previously spit out raw shrimp and argued with me that it was always cooked well done. He was upset, very rude and very disrespectful, telling me he didn't need customers like me, ironically in a restaurant full of empty chairs.

It's too bad it has declined to what it is now. Has to be a new owner because the person helping me didn't know what ingredients were in the fried rice and didn't know the meaning of gluten-free.

Diner Review №35

Good food and friendly people. Special mention to out waitress Lily.

Diner Review №36

Alex was our server and he was PHENOMENAL. I highly recommend Roat Osha, their staff, and their cuisine. Beware that hot means hot!

Diner Review №37

We had a large group and they were very accommodating. The food and drinks were all great and I will be going back again to try other dishes and drinks.
Parking is right across the street and simply walk directly into the restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

Diner Review №38

The food here is good, the atmosphere is good, and the family that runs this place goes above and beyond to make sure your visit is enjoyable. Thank you!

Diner Review №39

The food is sooo good here. Makes you wanna come back every time. Prices are pretty high but it is definitely worth it for the quality and quantity of the portions. I will keep going back.

Diner Review №40

Was never a fan of curry but also never fully experienced it either. Had the Massamun Curry and it was absolutely wonderful. Recommend checking out! Wonderful Thai food.

Diner Review №41

Diner Review №43

The just as good and less expensive option than the other place about a block away.

Diner Review №44

The food is great but last two times we ordered delivery they forgot something. This time two things. Hard for the person at home who doesn’t get a meal.

Diner Review №45

Diner Review №46

Visited Roat Osha for the first time and unfortunately will be the last time. Right away it felt like we should have left after seeing how dirty the restaurant was and after getting extremely dirty water cups, but we decided to order food hoping it would be better. It wasn't. The food was inedible. Ordered something that was supposed to be a stir fry, but received something that resembled soup with cold vegetables on the side. The servers were somewhat slow, but at least they were mostly nice. Overall it was just an expensive (about 90$ for two people before tip) bad experience where we ended up leaving the food almost entirely un-eaten.

Diner Review №47

Best Thai food in the Twin Cities, have been eating here for years. Highly recommend.

Diner Review №48

This was the best Thai food I have had in years in the Twin Cities. Wow! The food was so delicious. It was the most beautiful pad see yew I have ever seen. And so tasty. Full of fresh crispy veggies. The sauce was rich. The noodles were delicate. Really the dish was magic. I wish I had taken a photo. The panang curry was also delicious.

Don’t be scared away if you show up and there are few in person diners. They are doing a lot of takeout, but the apps take such a huge cut. So in person business or phone orders direct make a big difference. The server was a delight with my kiddo. Go support this great place!

Diner Review №49

The most friendly and helpful service we’ve ever had! The food was delicious, best Thai food in the area.

Diner Review №50

Ordered Pad See Yew especially because I love green beans. There were zero green beans. Chicken tasted old, like it was heated up. Disappointing because I’ve had really good stuff from them before.

Diner Review №51

This is one thing of my favorite palaces to eat hands down! The food is amazing but to top it off, the service is top tier! They are a great bunch of staff! 💜💜💜

Diner Review №52

Great food but really sub par service. I went there to pick up an order and they said they were checking on the order. After 15 minutes of waiting I had to flag down an employee and follow up on the order. They said they would check on it and came back 10 minutes later saying that they didn’t have the ticket for the order but they could put the order in and if just have to wait for it.

Diner Review №53

From the time we entered the restaurant we were greeted and seated in a timely manner. Everyone was very courteous and welcoming. The servers were wonderful❣️We will be back for sure❣️The food was AMAZING ❣️Top notch. The food is made fresh daily❣️If looking for a good place to eat, this is it❣️

Diner Review №54

Picking up my order and the men got mad cause he did not get the order and got mad with me as well, bad service to customer

Diner Review №55

I’ve been to many many Thai places since I’m fan of the food, but this place takes the cake. So delicious, and reasonable prices. I went with the waiter’s recommendation of a creamy red curry noodle dish (can’t recall how to spell it “Mi Ka Tee”) and it was DELICIOUS! Staff is so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Diner Review №56

Ghost town at 8pm on a Friday. Servers were nice, but…. the whole thing was a strange experience. Next morning, sick to my stomach. It’s not the Roat Osha I used to know.

Diner Review №57

Diner Review №58

Found this little gem thanks to DoorDash. We now order from here at least twice a month. We like the pineapple tofu red curry, red curry, and pad Thai. Food is excellent. Our only complaint is that the quantity varies from time to time - for example, sometimes, the rice container is only just half full. Same with the curries also. We still return because the food is simply that good.

Diner Review №59

Food was so fresh and so delicious! Some of the best Pad Thai I’ve ever had. Will definitely return. Give this place a try!

Diner Review №60

Came to the city for the first time since having my baby last year. We used to come to roat osha every week. I can't tell you how the food was since we didn't stay.

We brought our 11 month old and asked for a highchair. Instead of a high chair, they brought a booster seat.

My 11 month old can sit unassisted, however she does not know how to sit in a booster as I'm sure no 11 month old can. She could just slip to the floor, or try crawling out as there is no safety belt to keep her restrained.

We left completely disappointed as we can't enjoy a meal trying to ensure the safety of our 11 month old in a booster. Now I'm craving Thai food. I don't trust any other Thai restaurant to deliver the quality of food that this place does. And without a high chair who knows when we will be back.

You've lost our business for the foreseeable future. I'd suggest becoming more kid friendly.

Diner Review №61

I just had this food last weekend. So yummy. I had the Pad Thai and Green curry. I have not been able to find good Thai in Minneapolis since moving here but my son convinced me to try. I had given up. So good and a block or two away, I can walk. Also had a glass of red wine, perfectly lovely so if you want a little booze, they have it. Had a crispy shrimp appetizer son ordered, also. Portions not huge but big and enough for a couple meals from Gr curry and Pad Thai. I wanted to take leftovers home, hence two meals. So good. Give it a try

Diner Review №62

After visiting this place for 15 years. Granted under 2 names in that time. I've never seen such poor customer service on a simple mix up on my end tonight. I always order online and the one time it didn't go through, I was met with accusations and hate . Thanks Roat for keeping it friendly in uptown, I work and live one block away and order weekly w pickup that they prefer. Saves them money vs grub or door dash Very disappointed
Edited after last Owner comment. I’ve never acted out, Always have paid online, I have never met you before tonight. You simply could have clarified your online issue. Nasty first impression from you. May I ALSO add, you have to pay for your order online on your site to place order. I went home and saw I didn’t complete order. Why you were waiving my order in front of me with free wontons just couldn’t be. Not sure what your deal was but you were being ridiculous.

Diner Review №63

Favorite Pho in Minneapolis. Genuine sweet staff and ALWAYS FRESH AUTHENTIC FOOD

Diner Review №64

Very enjoyable and delicious HH. First time here, and we tried the dumplings and egg rolls. Both were fresh made, not at all the standard Sysco stuff. Took home the pineapple fried rice and Mee Kah Teeh. Large portions that I had two meals off of. We'll definitely be back. Glad they are so close.

Diner Review №65

Purely amazing restaurant. Me and my family loved everything about this place. First time going and I can say 100% hands down that, that was the best experience I have ever had. The Food was FANTASTIC and the customer service was just as outstanding if not more!!!!

Went to Roat OSHA a few Sundays ago to pick up food for a family gathering (RO
is a favorite of ours for gatherings—lots of options for all, yummy food). We got quite a few dishes and the owners graciously threw in a free app. As usual, the food was delicious and the service was exceptional. Thank you so much RO team! (P.s. You cannot go wrong with glass noodles, basil fried rice and the cranberry cream cheese wontons!)

Authentic Thai restaurant in US. We ordered sea food sarachi, chicken satay and soup. The food is really good, except the shrimps were very few in main course. Overall its a good place, the owner is nice and friendly and staff is cooperative

Diner Review №89

My favorite Thai place in MN ever!!! A MUST try!

Diner Review №90

Alex and Lily at Roat Osha are some of the nicest owners of a restaurant, ever! They always come to greet me and offer me something new to try and make me feel like part of the family. Sam and Lizzie are top notch, attentive servers, as well. Their food is delicious, especially the Thai dumplings and bean thread noodles. Really recommend finding this gem of a place, hidden just around the back of the Seven Points shopping mall in Uptown.

Diner Review №91

great music and relaxing and private environment

Diner Review №92

This place feels like home . The owner Alex greets you by name and makes sure you get exactly what you want. The crispy chicken wings are the absolute best, crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. I don’t know what they put in their drunken noodles dish, but it is always so savory and delish, with the right combo of soft tender noodles and crisp stir fried veggies. It never disappoints. Shrimp is my protein of choice, sweet and tender, but you can get whatever you want. The bartender is also friendly and willing to suggest the perfect pour. I love this place. Have been coming at least once a week for years, including take out during Covid.

Diner Review №93

We’ve been coming here 5+ years, and have come to love the food and the service. The pad thai is fresh and flavorful and the crispy chicken wings are staples on our to-go menu. Love this place and always will!

Diner Review №94

I want to thank them for the wonderful evening we had for my son-in-law Birthday. The food was amazing. Everything our party tried and we were 10+. Most of the never experienced this location not the food. We thank you and will be back. Very good service anf our waitress was wondering. She recommended something and they where on point. They are a spot to check out.

I live about 3 1/2 hours away and every time I come to the cities I ALWAYS have to make a stop at Roat Osha!! The pad see yew is my favorite and it has never disappointed! I also always recommend this place to any friends that are looking for recommendations in the cities! It is a little hidden in the uptown area but to me it is a hidden secret gem for Thai food! Very clean and good service! Food is always fresh too! I always make sure to order more and take it home with me as I don’t have anything as good as this place in my hometown!

The best food you’ll ever have in mn I work at the la fitness above them and I eat here almost everyday the food is so amazing it brings you literal happiness and comfort they’re the sweetest couple ever to always working to and everyone who works there is just super nice I have to force myself to not eat here for every meal because I definitely would the curry and pho are the best and the wontons are so fresh and homemade and the cranberry ones are a really good balancer if you like the spice higher

Diner Review №106

My most favorite restaurant in the twin cities. I live further north but have to make a visit here as often as I can, also easy parking in the ramp. Plentiful servings that I can even bring to lunch at work- makes coworker’s jealous!!
Pad nam siracha❤️

Diner Review №107

Thankful I booked an evening flight to head back home because I was able to get one last trip to my favorite Minneapolis thai restaurant.

Once again we were taken such stellar care of by owners Lily and Alex.

On this visit we tried one of Lily’s recommendation off of the appetizer section, Grilled Beef Jerky. This dish DID NOT disappoint. You can tell they use high quality ingredients by the way this tasted. Delicious marinate and grilled until perfectly tender. Both dipping sauces included were both so good.

Also had the Fried Spring Rolls with pork which has become my must order dish every time. Their version of a classic is by far my favorite I’ve ever had. It’s a hot every time, and now I have my non addicted to them as well.

For our entrees I got my must have Sriracha Fried Rice (spice level 4-which uses fresh thai chili). Was perfect as always. Cannot go wrong with this as an entree or for the table to share. Portions are insanely large. Thankfully I packed a small cooler bag for my carry-on because all of the leftovers came back home with me. Was the gift that kept on giving feeding me several more meals after I got home.

My mom got the Panang Curry with chicken (spice level 4). Served with white rice. She and I absolutely loved it. Perfect balance of spice balanced by the sweet coconut milk. Another huge portion that she got to take home to continue to enjoy another meal out of.

My mom loved my fried rice dish so much she placed an additional order for herself to go that she could eat for her work meal prep.

Lily graciously sent me home with an extra order of the pork friend spring rolls. Reheated in the air fryer back at home brought them back to life and I wouldn’t be able to tell they didn’t just come fresh out of the fryer.

I can’t speak more highly of this place. Great menu, fast friendly service, high food quality, taste is beyond!! Already thinking about going back when I return to MN again.

Go visit or order take out!! And don’t sleep on their Happy Hour 3pm-6pm. Drinks for $2-$6 and a variety of foods for $6-$8.

Diner Review №110

After leaving Minneapolis 13 years ago one of the things I missed most was the food at Roat Osha. This was my go to place for dine in and take out. Since leaving it’s always been a must stop when I’m back in town. Today was my first time back since last year. Though the neighborhood has gone through a lot of changes one thing I can say is that Roat Osha’s food has NOT. Had to get my go to dish the sriracha fried rice. Came out so hot I had to resist loosing the roof of my mouth and wait for it to cool off. Shout out to chef Oscar because this was 1000% better than I had remembered it. All of the ingredients were fresh and crisp. You can tell they care about using high quality ingredients and don’t cut any corners. And you know the food is awesome when you don’t have to ask for a condiment caddy. Also new since the last time I had been there was their daily Happy Hour. Lots of extremely affordable drink and food options. I decided to start with cream cheese wontons. They said I could mix and match so I choose half/half cranberry and jalapeño. Both were really tasty and loaded full of cream cheese and the jalapeños and cranberries. Owner Lily was kind enough to let me try the pork spring rolls. When I tell you these were delish I mean DELISH. Served with two dipping sauces, both are awesome. And these are also included in their HH menu. I had intentions of taking them to go but ended up eating two at the table and the other two on my 90 minute car drive home. After the first bite I knew they wouldn’t stand a chance making it home as leftovers. I can’t say enough great things about this place. From the staff to the food it is all excellent. I encourage anyone who is in Minneapolis or the Twin Cites area to go check them out. There is plenty of street meter parking as well as a huge ramp behind the restaurant. Keep in mind that the entrance is on the back of the building. Owner Lily is a gem. She has already given my suggestions for my next visit. Im a creature of habit with my go-to’s, but will be trying new things next time I go. Writing this review has my stomach churning craving it all over again. Go and support this family owned place if and when you can, you won’t regret it.

Diner Review №114

Food was sub par. Cream cheese wontons and fried rolls were meh. Not bad but not great.
I tried the spicy sweet pineapple dish with beef. The dish was mostly bell peppers and onions. The few tiny of pieces of beef were very low quality and full of gristle, could barely chew it it was so bad. The rice was also cold.
I would not recommend this place nor revisit. It was just bad.
Our server was great, though.

This Restaurant used to be the best Thai Cuisine earlier in twin cities .I visited this place more than 20 times, But now it’s the worse . The quality of food is bad and they served us the spoiled chicken, gave us the burnt fried rice and the napkins which they gave us were smelling so bad on the table , we couldn’t eat any dish.when we asked owner (Alex) , he came out shouting , this is what we serve to customers here .Mr Alex it’s better you learn how to interact with customers first .we understand you are out of staff , but this is not how you behave with customers and show all your frustration on us.Half of the food which we ordered gone waste .we are not going to visit this restaurant anymore , not because of food but for your worst behavior .

Incredibly delicious food. Service was great and the owners were so hospitable and friendly! The drunken noodles and fried rice were amazing along with the tea. Definitely coming back!

Diner Review №135

We ordered from here once before, and their drunken noodle dish was good, PHO (husband likes spicy, high tolerance of spice) was beyond spicy, husband ordered a level 4 and it was not edible he said. This round I ordered a pad prig Bai horapa dish, adding chicken with rice, husband ordered pho again, but less spicy. He said his was delicious, mine was pretty good, order arrived warm. However, I got super sick from their food. Not sure if it was the rice, bad hygiene or chicken being underdone, but within a few hours I was vomiting and here I am 4 plus days later and I'm still feeling ill. Be cautious... we tried to give it a second shot but I will not be ordering from them again.

This was my first time ordering from Roat Osha. I ordered 3 items:
1. Thai Dumplings - Tasted okay, but on menu said it comes with sesame soy sauce - We never received it.
2. Steak Skewers. Were good, however I thought it would come with 4 skewers based on their picture. Instead I only received two. Not a huge deal.
3 - Wonton Egg Noodle Soup - All we received were some noodles and cilantro. I am not sure what I am supposed to do with these. Was I supposed to get broth? What about wontons? So, now one of us does not get to eat. unless they just want to eat some plain noodles with cilantro...

Waited about an hour for delivery, and I have to say I am sorely disappointed. I do not think we will be ordering from here again.

Staff apparently doesn't care about their customers or getting their orders out. Won't be back again

Diner Review №147

The curry is so good

Diner Review №148

Went for an event there but they couldn't handle it so the food quality was bad. I was quite disappointed because they are usually ok. They can't handle large crowds

Diner Review №149

Sad to see this place go downhill.

Diner Review №150

Clearly focused on takeout vs dine in. Hostess stand empty when we arrived, took a few minutes to find someone to seat us. Two versions of the menu, no drink menu, when asked about a drink menu, took 15 minutes to get one. Had to track the server down to get our check. Food was decent, but service was abysmal. Don't recommend dine in, but would do again for take out. Confusing though, they have a HUGE space, but it was practically empty on a Saturday night

Diner Review №151

Zero stars prejudice vibes ! They wanted me out there asap kept rushing me while I was eating my food !

Ordered online, was given a 15 minute wait. I arrived 30 minutes later for pickup and they didn't even know they had orders in the system. I waited an additional 40 minutes for my food. There was 1 person working the desk and serving. The food is great, service and management needs some help.

The atmosphere was very relaxed, tasty Thai cuisine with delicious flavors, the staffs very attentive and give good service.

Diner Review №158

Exceptionally friendly, attentive, and accommodating service in conjunction with an enlivening atmosphere and deliciously prepared food. Prices are reasonable too. Dining in on my own, I got a great first impression of the place, can’t wait to be back with friends, and have no hesitation giving my experience five stars. I doubt you’ll leave here feeling anything but happy.

My server Sarah was very accommodating of my desire to stay low carb and replace the rice that comes with the Massamam curry with a bowl of salad. They were able to provide a nice bowl of freshly sliced cucumbers instead which I was more than happy with. That paired really well with the hearty, flavorful, and warm curry, which was exactly what I needed on a drizzly weekday evening in Uptown.

The atmosphere is multifaceted. There is a bar area that I imagine can get pretty lively, but also plenty of booths that offer coziness and privacy. There is intricate artwork all over the place, which lends a feeling of authenticity, liveliness, and craftsmanship. My eyes were fed just as much as my stomach. Maybe a little weird to say, I know, but you’ll see what I mean if you decide to go.

I don’t really have any complaints, other than the tables seemed a little sticky, but the rest of my dining experience more than made up for that.

I really can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu. Roat Osha is an Uptown staple and deserves to be experienced by anyone in the area and anyone passing through. My Thai dining experience was exemplary. I don’t think you can go wrong.

La presentación de sus platas está bien pero le falta mejorar su sazón

I am addicted to the Pad Thai and pork egg rolls. Portions are excellent. I get two nights of dinner from the Pad Thai.

1 star less for not enough protein, spice level, and they didn't pack my peanut topping last time.

Diner Review №168

No bad experiences here.

Ordered take out through Doordash. My food was hot when it arrived, so it was super fresh. The cranberry cream cheese wontons were different and good. The basil shrimp rolls were absolutely excellent, paired awesome with the sauces it comes with.
I tried the Wallaye Creamy Green Curry - it was very creamy with a nice amount of spice. I personally didn't like the chunks of pineapple, but I enjoyed the sweetness of the juice in my dish. I do, however, think for a dish that's $26, I feel like the wallaye could have been deboned better, a few portions of the fish had tiny little bones in it. While I do understand a few go unseen here and there, there were quite a few - I counted 7.
Aside from that, this was a dish that was so delicious, it made me dance while eating it.

Diner Review №171

The service was phenomenal and our host Sarah was delightful. The food however did not meet our standards. I loved the dumplings and shrimp wraps were great. Our entree walleye was terrible. I asked for it to be sent back and mind you this is the first time trying this restaurant and asking to send the food back. Sarah said she will send it back but the manager/kitchen staff said they can only honor a 10% discount and I would have to take it back. Am I in the wrong? I thought with all the other food we ordered and multiple drinks we had that asking to send something back was normal especially after one bite. I am disappointed in the restaurant but would like to applaud Sarah for her excellent service.

Diner Review №172

Used to eat here all the time this place has fell off. Only person in the restaurant staff was still nowhere to be found extremely slow service. Food was bland even though I ordered a 4 spice. Over priced. They are obviously depending on to go more than sit down customers even though they have a huge space. I’ll never eat here again.

Diner Review №173

Food was not good. Pad Thai had no flavor but a lot of pepper. Food not served as described on menu. Waste of my money and appetite.

I've been going to Roat Osha as my South Minneapolis Thai food go-to for over 10 years. It has always presented itself to be the highest quality Thai food in the South Minneapolis area, and it's simply absolutely delicious.

I'm finally writing this review now, because after ordering Roat Osha several times for take-out during the pandemic, it has been the BEST it has ever been, which speaks volumes when a lot of restaurants had to (understandably) make cuts during the pandemic as far as quality of ingredients, price increase, etc.

The main two dishes I always order are the beef pad thai and the pineapple fried rice, and holy smokes the last couple times I have ordered it, it has been INCREDIBLE. Those two dishes have always been extremely fresh and tasty, but somehow they have even gotten better. The beef in the pad thai is so flavorful and high quality cuts of the meat, and the veggies in the pad thai taste as if they were just harvested from a garden. The same goes for the pineapple fried rice, which I got with mock duck last night. Wow, the best mock duck I ever had. I usually get the chicken but decided to try a different protein, and I'm so pleased with the mock duck. The pineapple was so fresh and the yellow curry flavor in the rice was just perfect. Everything was chefs kiss. Honestly the best take out I've had in years.

Thank you, Roat Osha. And a major nod to your chefs. Your food has so much integrity and is a true example of exceptional Thai cuisine.

You will always have my patronship.

Impressively flavorful cuisine and delicious drinks. I'm very pleased to see that this staple of the Uptown neighborhood of Minneapolis is surviving. Friendly staff and relaxed and inviting atmosphere. This is worth visiting again when I come back to Minnesota. Accolades are well deserved.

Sunday 6/1/13 445PM. Parking lot 1/2 full. The 4 of us enter. My wife, I , + son and niece. Table for 8 please. No we don't have a reservation. A glance down the restaurant shows ~ 6 empty 4-seat tables + 1 empty large round table. No one is waiting. We are told that there'll be a wait. A long wait. "Like hours," he said. As my niece asked why we were leaving, I rightfully told her that they didn't want us there. Will never go back. Back into the car towards Chiang Mai Thai where we were seated immediately and had an excellent meal.

Restaurant needs to get a credit card machine with a chip reader. Ordered take out last week which I paid by by my debit card. I was surprised that they swiped my card as opposed to use a machine with a chip reader. Next day, Got a notice from my bank saying someone tried to wire themselves $300 from my bank to their cash app account. Fortunately no $ left my account but I won't be going back to Roat Osha without cash on hand.

This is a very good Thai restaurant and I enjoy ordering from their frequently for lunch. I highly recommend the Siracha fried rice, that is if you can handle a little spice!

Update 7-17-21 that rice was good but the Mee Kah Tee is really where it’s at, delicious!

Diner Review №195

Wonderful dinner experience

Diner Review №196

Tried this spot because it was local…and it’s kinda hard to find because it’s in the cut, but that might be for a reason. The Thai red curry was definitely lack luster and had to much texture (wasn’t creamy) I wouldn’t get it again. The green curry was better but not amazing, and I’ve had better with quality ingredients for less. Over all still an okay spot to try if your around the area maybe you’ll have a better experience then mine! Staff are pretty chill so that’s nice!

*I would not bother on the shrimp rolls things in my pictures…TRY SOMETHING ELSE!

Diner Review №197

I have to say that was utterly displeased and disappointed with the level of customer service that I received. I came in with the intention to order take out and drink at the bar while I waited. Came in and sat at the bar to have the bartender to have his back turned without any acknowledgment. I sat and waited thinking perhaps he didn't see me so I hailed him to get a "hi" with absolutely no indication as to when or if he would take my order. I waited a short while to see if he would pause what he was doing to at least take my order.....nothing...ba ck still turned towards me....so I hailed him again to be met with an impatient and annoyed response when he did infact acknowledge me sitting there.responded, he then stated that he was the only person onstaff. While I understand what that feels like, the polite thing to do would have been to simply acknowledge me and state the he has to wrap something up and he will get to me. Instead, it seemed like the better option was to ignore me and expect that I automatically know what was going on. Very appalled by lack of BASIC customer service and common sense.
