I love this place. I have ordered numerous times and have not been disappointed. I even had first time sushi tryers try this place and they loved it as well. My kids love it too did I mention the price is amazing?

J Sushi puts so much effort into every item on their menu. Even the complementary miso soup and salad were more flavorful than what I’ve had at any other sushi restaurant in Michigan.

The fish quality is out of this world, and their new tempura udon is definitely a must-try.

Also, there are a number of vegan-friendly options! I can’t recommend this place enough.

Finally a truly outstanding sushi joint in MI. A quality family-owned business: delicious & original sushi; friendly owner; and very clean. They take care to provide the freshest sashimi; and the volcano roll & BBQ eel were excellent! Definitely recommend, especially for takeout!

One of my favorite sushi places! They are one of the best!!! Ingredients are always fresh, the entire team is the kindest, sushi just melt at each bite you take. Ordered couple times here and was never disappointed. Their social media accounts are also soo helpful with deciding which roll you'd like to get.

This is a 14 inch platter custom order (your choice of roll) and they also have pre-made platter to go as well. Their platter size are 14in, 16in and another size which I forgot. I think the price is fair especially for the size that I ordered because another restaurant charged me $65. I will definitely come here again.

Place really went downhill, haven't been here in a while but was one of my to go places for sushi if I was craving for sushi, quality of food used to be a banging 10/10! But now I give it a 0/10, the soy sauce is ridiculous salty

I’ve been going here for years and normally love it, but recently there’s been some changes and inconsistencies. Quality of ingredients has been lacking. The rice tastes different. Soy sauce is now given out in ridiculously small amounts, with varying brands. Whoever decided to give out the “kari-out co.” soy sauce needs to try it themself, because it tastes like lightly salted water. I’m disappointed in whatever changes the owner has made. It isn’t the J Sushi I have known for the past 4 years.

**I believe there has been a change in ownership. Unfortunately I will search for other establishments if the new owner cannot fix these issues.

They used to be the best…now everything is different and they don’t even give you ginger and wasabi…

With all honesty was coming to give a four star... but tasted the sushi, sashimi and nigiri, I'm impressed. The taste does not deserve anything less than five stars. The reason I waned to mark down was because there was one soy sauce box in a multiple order, no chop sticks, no napkins. But again, the taste deserves nothing less than five stars.

THEY ARE UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT!! The sushi was fine but the rice is definitely different. They couldn’t make a roll that previous management always made for me. The people were nice but it’s definitely not the same J Sushi!

i loved going here for the firecracker rolls and the fried rice. food is always delicious. but my most recent trip the price went up almost 6 dollars more for the same order! turns out they charge way more for their fried rice. guess i won't be eating here nearly as much if i spend 30 dollars for 1 roll and half an order of rice

Definitely recommend the Michigan Roll or the Firecracker Roll if you like some spice. Both were delicious, and you could tell everything was made with great ingredients. The only thing was that it was only take out. I'm not sure if this was a temporary thing or how it always is. But I will definitely be back!

This sushi place is off the chain. I love their volcano roll and the combination A. I take my 18 month old son here to get carry out all the time and he loves their California rolls. The employees are very nice and work very hard. Very nice sushi. My favorite place to go.

This place is amazing! Hands down the best sushi around. Everything is very fresh and very tasty.
I enjoy the combo D with the mixed rolls and the volcano roll. Stepdaughter enjoyed the crunchy combo.
They are very reasonable on pricing. They have a massive menu so there is something for everyone.
Looking forward to trying more of their rolls.

Best sushi around. I have tried numerous sushi places and this place hands down has the best deep-fried rolls. I would recommend the Deluxe New Las Vegas roll and the Shrimp Firecracker roll. You will not be disappointed.

We've gotten this place more than any other since moving to Warren a year ago. Some of our favorite sushi ever!

The food is not fresh and it's pricey.
I ate here today and the soft shell crab wasn't fresh. It was definitely spoiled.
The sushi was also too fishy to be fresh. I won't be back here.
I don't know how this place has such good ratings. Naruto sushi or Hi Sushi are much better alternatives and they're always fresh.

As someone who has tried sushi at many restaurants throughout the metro Detroit area, this is arguably one of the best spots—especially for the price. There’s a large selection of rolls and sashimi. Everything was freshly made in a reasonable amount of time and incredibly flavorful! The staff was also very friendly. There wasn’t much of a seating area, but for high quality sushi I believe that’s a non-issue. There’s a coffee shop in the same plaza (Haraz) you can visit while they make the sushi, if you need to pass the time. We will definitely be visiting again!

Never had Baked Sushi before til I tried it here, and it's delicious lol. Also their shrimp fried rice ain't bad either.

The sushi is delicious. The tempura on the shrimp tempura roll was fresh and crispy.

The only reason I'm knocking off a star is because the portions for the roll I ordered (shrimp tempura) were incredibly small compared to rolls I've ordered at other places at the same price point.

The food we ordered was excellent. We ordered California Roll, some mango rolls and some shrimp. They prepared them on time. They notify you in advance so that you can remove them hot. I recommend them.

The best parts about my visit were the interactions I had with the staff, and the cleanliness of the store. The staff were very pleasant, helpful, and courteous. The store was immaculately clean as well. The few peeks I took of the kitchen told me that they run clean and organized shop.

I ordered the tamago nigiri and an order of Gyoza. I was disappointed that the tamago didn't seem to be the traditional rolled egg dish I had expected, but seemed to be just nicely seasoned egg that was baked on a sheet tray. The rice was great, though. Just sticky enough, just the right hint of vinegar, just really nice sushi rice.

The Gyoza was what I was really after. And the biggest disappointment of the trip was the fact that the wonderfully made, nicely seasoned, flavorful dumplings I got were deep fried. That's kind of a slap in the face to Gyoza.

I'll definitely be back. The tamago I had was super tasty, for sure. The texture threw me off, but I happily ate it. Same thing with the Gyoza. Flavors all on point, but the way it was made just didn't seal the deal.

I'm gonna leave this one open, and update the review later. I'm gonna go back and try more of the menu, as well as the egg and the Gyoza again. Everyone has off-days. I don't think they would nail down great flavors and then cut corners with the technique on purpose.

Do not bother!!! We were so excited to try a new local sushi place. My kids went to pay with a $10 Groupon each, but didn’t pay attention that the person at the register didn’t bother to give them credit for it. My youngest handed him a $20 bill, for an $18 order that should have been $8 plus tax after the Groupon, and got no change back!!! My oldest had a $30 order, which should have been $20 after the Groupon, but was charged $30 on his credit card. Shame on me for not going to supervise, but even bigger shame on this restaurant for taking advantage of 2 un-knowing kids. Terrible customer service, I do NOT recommend!

Best sushi I’ve ever had. I only eat tempura and I love anything with cream cheese. Their mango plate was PHENOMENAL. The mango roll and new las vegas roll are AMAZING. If you haven’t tried their sushi you’re missing out. Also great service. It’s a cute little spot, but I wish they had bigger tables inside. I’d invite everyone I know if I could, which I’ve already done 😂

First and only visit and all I have to say is: Great food, for a great price and some of the best customer service I’ve seen in a very long time. “J” made the entire experience even that much better. I will now be a frequent customer!

Ordered take out and it was delicious! The presentation was beautiful, even in the carry out boxes. The sashimi cuts were generously portioned and fresh. Customer service was top notched with curb side delivery. I wish I took a photo but it was too good to wait for a picture. We ate it all up. Definitely coming back for more!

Found this little gem of a restaurant on DoorDash this week. It was our first time ordering. The sushi arrived very fresh everything was labeled and even the rolls were separated so that sauces wouldn't get on each other. Very very impressed!
