We can be harsh when a restaurant isn’t good, but the food here is awesome.

This is a take out only with a few tables and chairs out side. It is right across from Walled Lake, so there is a decent view as a bonus

We had Moo Goo Gai Pan, and General Tso Chicken , and pork spring rolls.

Everything was cooked great, was all fresh, and the chicken portions were twice as much as you usually get with a Chinese meal.

Prices were reasonable too

The lady who took our order was very nice and it took 10 minutes to get the food.

Wanted to find a good takeout place in the area from me. My husband chose this place out of random and I must say. This was phenomenal. The food was incredible, spicy, flavorful, well cooked. Just everything I hoped for.

Our server was so sweet and adorable and she made sure we had water. These prices cannot be beat! For what we paid, 2 dinners AND boba tea all for 27$ not including the tip.

I was disappointed they were closed when I got back in town but luckily they opened back up just before I left. This was one of my favorite places to eat. I ordered the Green Curry and Basil Fried Rice. I ordered no extra spice but I really should have because both were a bit bland. I don't think I ordered spice before but it's been awhile. Now I know. All and all they were ok.

I've gotten take out a few times but have only recently had the chance to dine in here. It's a wonderful restaurant with outdoor seating across from the beach. The food is always delicious and the people are so nice. We often get food from here when entertaining guests from out-of-state and they always love it! Recommend the crab cheese (which is nice and crispy) and the drunken noodles.

Food is great when you actually get a chance to order it. I swear like 70% of the time I call, nobody picks up the phone and I have to re-plan my days meal. This is always during service hours too.

We've been going to Haangs for years and never had a bad meal. In fact its still the best Thai food we've ever had. The food is fantastic, the people great, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend the curry pad thai and the vegetable curry.

Excellent food and friendly people. I used to get gang gai and various curries from a place no longer run by the same family. After moving to Novi, I was looking around and found out about Haang's Bistro. If you like spicy curry, give this place a shot!

I'm new to Thai food, so I haven't been to too many places, but compared to the few places I've tried, Haangs Bistro is the absolute BEST. I live in Dearborn, right down the road from what a lot of people consider to be 'the best Thai in Michigan', and I definitely disagree. I work out in Novi and found this place through some coworkers and I couldn't be more pleased. I often find myself craving my usual dish, pad see ew with shrimp, every time I'm in the office. It's sooooo good!! I unfortunately don't have pictures to share because I eat everything too fast 🤣 but believe me this place is amazing!!

Best Chinese/Thai food in the area. You get a huge portion, and the price is better than any other Chinese place in Commerce or Walled Lake. The orange chicken is amazing and and sweet and sour chicken a close second.

Should be more clear that it's carry-out only. Hard to get that sense from browsing the pics. That said, the food is great and the service is speedy and attentive. I got the curry Pad Thai which was excellent. Food container was stuffed to the brim, which I appreciate.

The best Thai food in the area me and my son love this place. Wish they would open up there dine in again , but when every I'm in the area I always get lunch here.

Got the lunch sweet and sour chicken, flavor was good but the breading on the chicken was very thick, most pieces had more breading than chicken. Would go back and try other dishes that don’t have breaded chicken.

This is our go-to for local Thai and Chinese. They do a great spring roll and carb Rangoon, and most of their Thai entrees are pretty good. We love their Thai Basil Fried Rice, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Pad Thai, and Drunken Noodle.

Carry out only, so keep that in mind.

Do not get get the almond chicken. It had a weird texture jelly like and it was not tender at all. As a matter of fact, none of the chicken was tender I also got mixed vegetables with shrimp zero flavor then we got sweet-and-sour chicken way too much duck sauce chicken not tender at all 90% breading 10% chicken. If you do not like spicy food, the food there does not have any flavor will not be going back.

It's affordable, had the best Thai food in Michigan and their egg drop soup is a MUST! This is one of the local spots that you revisit with the family

Had four dishes:
- Moo goo gai pan was incredibly bland.
- Crab Rangoon was pretty good.
- Yen Chow fried rice was smoky but without much other flavor.
- Tom Kha was decently flavorful and pleasantly spicy, but only had two pieces of tofu in the small size.

Overall it was a pretty disappointing meal, though the person we spoke with on the phone seemed very nice. I wouldn't really recommend any of these dishes though.

This is my work's go to Thai place. We order quite often and every time the food is spectacular and so flavorful. Shrimp is perfectly cooked, spice is good, veggies are cooked great too. I've tried a couple other places pad se ew and nobody's compares to haangs. ❤️

I ordered the Mongolian beef and it wasn’t good at all absolutely zero flavor. Called them to tell them I threw my food away and the RUDE owner or manager said there is nothing she can do for me. Absolutely pathetic establishment I wouldn’t feed a dog on the streets your terrible food. With your fake 5 star reviews 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤢

The selections that I've tried here have all been very good for the most part. My favorite is the Mongolian beef at medium spice level. It's very flavorful. The General Tso's chicken can be tough sometimes. It's hit or miss. The pork spring rolls are also delicious. I hear the pad thai is their top seller. Have yet to try it.

I love this place, used to live nearby. It is so tucked away and hidden, I spent most of my life believing it was an abandoned building lol. Aromatic and super excellent spice level for a desi like me.

Best chinese food I've ever had. I've been a customer for three years. I have had my family from DC say its the best they have ever had, too. The food is consistently delicious. I've had a variety of food on the menu and everything is good. I have never liked pad thai and I love theirs! I never leave reviews but they deserve it!

Been to Haang's multiple times and the food is always great. The staff are incredibly friendly on the phone, they actually bring the HEAT with their spice, and I haven't had a bad dish yet. Pad See Ew and Masaman Curry are outstanding.

We perused the menu online, made our selections and went in person to order and pick it up. They did not have BBQ duck so got Almond boneless chicken, I ordered schzewan (?) shrimp & scallops medium hot. Both were inedible!! The cabbage egg rolls were awful too. Cabbage was tough and cooked in a stra ge oil. Almond chicken was greasy and nasty, my medium spicy hot dis was mostly carrots without a speck of any spicy heat or any other other spice! A truly nasty experience and I would not recommend it to anyone...sorry but true!

今回はカレーパッタイとノーマルのパッタイです。レモンで味変しながら美味しく頂きました。かなりボリュームあります。私はカレーの方が気に入りました♪そこまでspicyではないので辛いものが苦手な方でも大丈夫かと思います。
お肉の種類は牛、豚、shrimpなど選べました。
火曜日はパッタイ2個で$2.00 OFFのようです。
美味しかったので色々試してみたいと思います♪

Was having a bad week when I went here, and it actually lifted my mood quite a bit. I was quite surprised by the quality of the food! I ordered a Hunan pork and I was expecting some generic American flavouring, but I was completely wrong. It tastes really different from that, and close to authentic. One of the better Chinese / Thai restaurant in this area.

This place has been really good for a really long time now.

There food is nasty I don’t see how this could ever be a 4.6 star restaurant the noodles were cooked to long the inside was nasty

I had a credit for a wonton soup that I didn't like because the noodles were not completely cooked. They tried to make me get another one stating the credit is only for a soup. I don't feel it's right to make someone get what they clearly said they didn't want because it will probably be cooked the same way. I've done customer service for 25yrs and have never seen such poor customer service from most of these establishments. Thank but no thank you keep your $3 the food is not that good anyway.

So good! Tried it today for the first time and it was delicious!! We had the Hunan beef medium spicy. The sauce was a great dark brown and the spice was just right. When I called they warned me the hot plus would be really hot and that the medium would make your nose run, they were spot on. We feel like most places think they're hot is hot and we're disappointed, this was a good heat and wonderful flavor. Would definitely get again if I'm out that way.

Very best curry pad thai ever and I have tried a lot of them. Both egg drop and hot/sour soups are very well done compared to most other establishments I have been to. The wait staff have always been very friendly and so good to me. So sorry they are not able to return to inside dinning (yet). After eating here no other thai compares.

We just moved to the area and had to find a new go-to Thai place, and we're glad we found Haang's. The prices are great and as spice lovers, we were happy with this restaurant's "hot"

Dope spot run by this Hmong American family with excellent service. Best take out Chinese in Oakland County in my opinion. Thai is great there, too. Get the Lo Mein. Also, I eat really spicy food generally and this restaurant is extremely spicy so order a heat level down from what you normally do if you want to live. aren't many better ways to die though if the heat does kill you.

This place is great. We eat here at least once a month! The peanut curry is fantastic and so is the crab cheese appetizer! EAT LOCAL! 💜

Best Thai restaurant in Southeastern MI. Hands down!

My first mistake was eating outside since they don't have dine in available. Their seats were uncomfortable, tables were wobbly and unstable. You have to pay for water. The food is actually disgusting and took forever to arrive and it wasn't even busy. I've been to many many Thai restaurants but this place takes the crown for having the worst tasting food so ite surprising to see that it is reviewed so highly. Absolute disgrace to Thailand cuisine. Avoid.

Absolute favorite Thai place in the area! The meals are primarily around $10-$15 and the portions are very generous and delicious. The pad Thai curry is quite unique, and almost had an Indian spice to it. Really like the peanut curry as well! Best in the area hands down.

We’re going there at least once a week! Authentic Thai entrees! The pad ped and the Pangnang together with a hot & sour and a tom-yum soup are our absolute favorites!

I've been going here for many years they always have a smile on their face. The food is fantastic it's always prepared on the spot. If you're hungry and live in the Walled Lake area or traveling through, please stop by grab a plate after five lunches you get the 6th one free.

For covid-19 have everything blocked off built up false walls it is very safe for 1 to stop by and pick up food. They only let one person in at a time. No dining only carry out as of today January 20th 2021

I have never been disappointed with a meal here. The service is fantastic and I really appreciate how seriously they have taken precautions to protect customers and staff.

Great food, but consistently inconsistent...

Whenever we order, there is a wait. Most times they say an hour, but I've been called 25 minutes after an order, while still at home, to be told it was ready. Other times, when told an hour wait, we've had to wait an additional 20 minutes after the hour....

If you want comparable food for the price, that is consistent with timing, drive another 5 minutes to go to Szechuan Empire on 14 Mile, in Walled Lake.

As an asian-american. I gotta say this place is THE place in the area. Not just Walled Lake, but Oakland County, even the entire Detroit Metro area quite possibly. This place hits all the high notes for authenticity and flavor for both Chinese and Thai dishes. From the cuts of the ingredients to the actual ingredients used, it's the original cuisine with the owning family's touch.

They have a beautiful balcony with an overlook on the lake, a perfect weekend lunch date before walking around downtown. It's a very small place but the service is always kept well. Their presentation is surprisingly turned up a notch from your expected local Asian take-out. The plates and presentation of the dishes are amazing, carry-out doesn't do the look and freshness justice - but it will definitely leave you satisfied.

Chicken Pad Thai!

Visiting the area from out of state. Placed order for the Chicken Curry Pad Thai and asked for it hot. She tried to convince me to take the medium, but I'm glad I didn't. The hot is a perfect level of spiciness. Really clears out the sinuses! Portion was huge- enough to serve at least 2 people. Loved it! Wish I lived in the area so I could have it again.

I tried this place because the reviews were so great, but I was not impressed by the food sadly. The staff was very nice and professional though! My family got Thai food and they liked it. But the Chinese chicken dishes were not so great. Orange chicken was very dry, could barely see sauce at all. Orange chicken was very heavily breaded! General chicken was very dry and hard to chew. To top it all off I woke up with a very upset stomach the next day. :(

I love this place. It's a small unassuming eatery, but serves great Thai and Chinese food. The family that runs it is so nice and provides great service for dine-in or carryout. They have outdoor seating in front and on the side of the restaurant. Pad Thai curry mild+ is my favorite. And I have no idea what's different, but they make the best egg drop soup you'll find anywhere. When the dumplings are available, I always order them. They come pan fried or steamed. Very large portions, including dumplings (much more than a typical potstickers order somewhere else).

This place hands down has the best General Tso's Chicken in the area! My boyfriend and I go often. The staff always greeted us with a smile and even began to remember who we were after just a few orders! We truly cherish this place and look forward to eating here every time. If you are thinking about giving them a try just do it! Food is immpecable, staff is lovely, what's not to like?

The spring rolls aren't worth it, my entree was missing some of the vegetables and too heavy on the heat..average at best.

We moved away so it's been a while since we've been able to eat here. Back in the area today and really great to see how well they have adapted to pandemic safety measures. I wish we could be back here more often. Feel safe having great Thai food take out here!

Restaurant is too small for the kind but the food is fine. 3 stars for the restaurant setup - I think its a bit shabby. However, Thai food is spicy by nature unless you want to go for a Mild or Medium spice level.

Always leave a satisfied customer at Haang's Bistro! Chef Her and Ka make everything from scratch and the food is just delicious. Every person we recommend to the restaurant tells us it becomes their new favorite go-to for Asian dishes. Lots of instructions about how to order the proper spice level so reading another review's post (that the food is too hot) is unfair because it's clearly written on the menu in plain English. Just a great little gem in the heart of Walled Lake!

Best spot for Thai and Chinese food. Affordable, consistent and delicious. Don't bother going anywhere else in the area.

First of all Very slow in service. Ordered for medium spicy food, but it came out very very very spicy and we could not eat at all. We had authentic thai food in other restaurants before where spice levels are little higher than regular spice levels, but this restaurant made it way too spicy for medium level.

The food here is amazing and its always super fresh. Like fresh fresh. If you get chicken you should cut it open to let the heat put because the food is that fresh and omg their dumplings put of this world. The staff is super nice and welcoming. I keep asking for their recipes because that's how delicious their food is lol. If you havent tried this place you're missing out.
