Spicy curries, noodles & other classic Thai fare presented in casual quarters with comfy booths.
I ordered drunken noodles and curry chicken fried rice. So once I made it home I noticed the drunken noodles had veggies (I didnβt want) and more drunken veggies than noodles. Called back, they remake them with no problem but the taste was off and the noodles were sticking together. Tried to reheat the next day but itβs like gel you have to eat the drunken noodles same day. The curry chicken fried rice was a different taste and a lil mushy from what Iβm used to but it was surprisingly good. Oh, itβs a lil sweet even with the heat and only a few pieces of chicken. Iβm going to get the rice again but a whole container of noodles was wasted so I guess for the drunken noodles to be good the veggies are needed. For both it was $29
I rated 3 because the drunken noodles was wasted.
This place is definitely my top 5 for the Metro Detroit area.. Top 5 Top 5 Top 5!! I used to work in Bingham Farms and the entire office would order carryout from here. I go with the Pad-Thai with chicken and shrimp, EVERY TIME!! I also order it at the spiciest level they have which is pretty hot, I've never had anyone ever able to stand a bite of my food (& I like it that way) lol. I've also had their veggie meal which is pretty good as well. Everyone I've introduced to this place agrees that there is no better Thai food around. On top of that its super light considering its a large quantity of food. I usually dine out but the times I've dinned in have been great considering the soup that comes with your meal.
Ordered fried rice with squid, and the squid was absolutely disgusting tasting. It smelled like an old kitchen rag... just gross. My daughter asked for half & half of chicken and tofu, and we were charged for extra/double meat, even though the portion of each protein was definitely half (a few pieces of tofu and a hand full of pieces of chicken). I would not go here again.
Excellent Thai food, professionally, prepared one of the few Thai restaurants, you can get papaya salad, which is phenomenal, very spicy even if you order medium it has a good amount of spice so be careful. Iβve had almost anything on the menu, but the yellow curry and green curry are phenomenal. Their service is great. They have two waitresses at all times never have to wait too long. Highly recommend to any family and friends
I ordered takeout. When I came in to pick up my order, I was refused access to the bathroom. I was told that the public was not allowed to use the bathroom. I said that I'm a paying customer. I was then asked if I remember my order. I recalled my order and was allowed access to the bathroom. Unfortunately, along with the service, the quality of the food has gone down considerably as well. I will not be back.
Had an awesome glass noodle with beef dish. Will be back for more dishes.
This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants. The depth and richness of flavor in their dishes are excellent. The quality of service over the phone and in-person is very pleasant.

Yum yum.
Order Bangkok chicken every piece of chicken was gooey and soggy. Wouldnβt recommend

Been eating here since the Troy restaurant closed - 24 years total. My favorite food anywhere.

Food is terrible and not what I ordered
Waste of money and time
Bangkok Hung Cafe is still soooo good after all these years! Come for the delicious food and excellent service.
Highly Overpriced the food is good but man the priceing is ridiculous. Work on your priceing.

We had a quiet private side room that allowed undistracted conversation. Food was very good.
This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants. The depth and richness of flavor in their dishes are excellent. The quality of service over the phone and in-person is very pleasant.
It is very good
My favorite Thai Restaurant in Oakland county. The Rice is the most flavorful I've had. All of the dishes are wonderful.
Had this place confused with another Thai restaurant in Ferndale.
I ordered the Crab Ragoon, Curry Fried Rice, and Vegetable Spring Rolls. Upon entry, I was met with a friendly face and a happy tune. The dΓ©cor gave me 90's nostalgia. I tried the curry fried rice first. I knew it was going to be good once I opened it. The flavors and texture exceeded my expectation. The crab ragoon was next. The flavor was there, however, I wish there was more filling. The spring rolls were excellent. I will definitely order from them again. Next time, I'll sit down and see what the atmosphere is all about. This is a real review lol I'm just dramatic.
I lived in a Thailand for three years. This is REAL l, delicious Thai food. Quick and super friendly staff. Love it.
The food is really good.
Great service and great food
The service was a little slow and I told her I wanted mild plus get my food was completely mild
I love this place. Let me start with that. You canβt go wrong here. My favorite is the curry rice and I usually get fried tofu as the protein. The flavor of the rice is next level. Some heat, a little sweet and the tang of yellow curry. So good. There other fried rice dishes are some of the best around. Another favorite is the eggplant dish with a red curry sauce. If you havenβt had their food, itβs worth it.
Please change your website. Closed on Monday but says youβre open. π
Great food. Hot n Sour soup is top notch
If you need delivery restaurant connection can deliver for you
This hidden gem is tucked away. The food was absolutely amazing. Our server was very friendly and very knowledgeable. She was able to answer all of our questions. The Food was hot and fresh and I would highly recommend this place. Whatever you order you won't be disappointed.
It's very low-key and makes the perfect date night or date lunch spot for that perfect intimate setting.
The pad Thai was pretty good, but I was really impressed with the Thai mango salad. Overall I would definitely go there again
The food is amazing everytime....
Food was good.
Great value
I have read recent negative comments about Bangkok Hung and food quality. I have never left a review for a restaurant before, but I felt it necessary after reading these comments. I work near Bangkok Hung and have ordered food here by myself or sometimes with my coworkers occasionally over the past 4 years. The food has been excellent *every* time I order.
Today, 2 of my coworkers and I ordered 3 different meals for Takeout: I ordered the Pad Pak Chicken. It was delicious. Ordering food with hot level of spice is spicier than other Thai restaurants, but that is fine with me. My coworkers ordered medium Beef Drunken Noodles (also one of my favorites) and medium Chicken Pud Thai (rice noodles).
Both of my coworkers thought their food was great, so consider this 3 very positive food reviews.
I always order takeout here, and the employees have always been pleasant and friendly. I would definitely recommend eating at this restaurant!
Take out is a fifty-fifty experience. What happens is sometimes the food is fresh and good, then other times, they use all the food that is going bad and give it to only the people who pick up. The last time I picked up food from this place, they cooked the food in old, rancid oil, and the food was old as well...the peas looked horrible. I spent some time on the toilet immediately after I ate it. I tried to continue to patronize them, but I am now done with them permanently.
I got the Gai. It was very good, but the chicken wasnβt the best quality. Tasted great. Good flavor. Had medium spice, wish I got hot.
The food is so great and so is the service. Highly recommended.
It shows open on monday but it is closedπ
Ordered Curry Fried Rice and Egg Noodles. Didn't know each one was a single dish with a substantial amount of food. Was asked by the waitress did I want Seasoning on my food, to which I agreed. As I was eating my food, I noticed it was tasting fishy! I asked the waitress what did she put on my food? She said she put fish sauce on it (had already told her I am a vegetarian)! When I asked why did she put that on my food, she said "because it didn't have actual meat chunks in it, [she] thought I wouldn't mind." I ended up doggie bagging it, and took it to my friend, who likes Thai food. At least I know now NOT to accept an offer for Seasoning!
Food was good and the portion was perfect for lunch. Service was quick and friendly.
Excellent as always
Third resteraunt in Farrington that shows they are open for dine in yet when you drive 20 minutea to get there they are closed. People at the place are rude..just kept saying.."carry out only" every time i said something..They stared blankly at us when we tried to show goolge maps to them.It takes 30 SECONDS to remove the dine in and list carry out only..how many people have to waste time and be strested out by a incompetent owner. I should have looked at reviews..Im not the first person to make the same post in the past year. A year
,are you kidding me..
Best curry
Pretty good be warned if you don't like HOT π₯ go with mild sauce. It was delicious
Great foods very delicious
4/16 Changing 5 star to 3 star. I will change it back to 5 star once resturant confirmed on business hrs mess up.
Went there 4pm today but restaurant closed. Business hours at door showing good. Also another poster saying . credit card machine not working. Google saying opened as well. Not sure temporary closed for some reason. It could have been better temporary closed poster at door or Google temporarily closed or phone recorded message saying not opened today. Hopefully some emergency and opening soon and as we love food at Bangkok Hung Cafe

Superb curry fried rice. Drunken noodles also great. By East Thai place around the area. Small dining area and weekday lunch become easily full and end up long wait outside . It looks like family owned and operate which is the best thing for restaurant operation. Visited several times and will do again
Mediocre at best! Ordered Pad Cashew w/Chicken. I've enjoyed the meal at a number other restaurants, this was unlike any I've tasted. I requested Medium heat, there seem to be something missing in terms of the flavor!
Good food every time I go.
Food service β₯οΈ is great ππΏ and food is good
Never picks up the phone, times are wrong on google/yelp.
Only place I really like to go
Food and service is always amazing!!!!
Good food
Good prices
Good Service
Food was perfect had the pad thi medium. Just delicious will be back. Food prices are affordable.
Great Thai food. Decent price.
Really good food and service!
Really good food for a reasonable price. Fairly crowded during the lunch rush since it's a small place. Occasionally it'll be closed on random days.
Web link not working. Would have loved to see a menu, but all it would do is let me give them my personal info, and not look at a menu. The "pick up" link was totally broken. Only choice was to give a third party your personal info and hope for the best. Won't be going there anytime soon.
Great food but hold they their own business hours good luck trying to get some food when you want it.
Every weekend I crave and fiend for their Thai food but then I call this place and they let the phone ring ring ring ring and ring for hours I call every weekend at least then times in a row until I get the annoying message asking for the remote access code.
Iβm just keeping it real. This place is great but they open whenever they want
Excellent staff and service! Food is very well prepared and flavorful. Overall Satisfying.
Best Thai place in the area ... I recommend the curry fried rice or Pad Thai Curry.
The hot and sour soup and #35 with Shrimp Hot spice is my go to dish here. The coconut ice cream is a great cool down after eating some spicy Thai.
Authentic, Delicious, generous portions
Loved the drunken noodles, very spicy and great food.
Definitely my favorite Thai place. SO much food in one portion and so delicious. They always get food in quick and is always fantastic. Cant beat it!!
Place is small but food is very good! Loving the yellow curry fried rice!
Drunken noodles were a joke. My noodles were swimming in so much sauce that I had to pour it out.
Great food. Best thi

Always great! Spicy!
Great food
Good
Small, reasonably priced and very good food. So far have not found better drunken noodles.
This is my favorite Thai place ever! Small quaint atmosphere, good service & excellent food. Good portion size. You won't be disappointed.
Good and cozy
Great service. Awesome food. Looking forward to eating here again.
Very good. Spicy and delicious.
Authentic Thai food
Food was ok but not the best Thai food I have had; service and attention to detail could have been better. For example, I was in a group of 5 people and was not brought any soup. When I asked for the soup that comes with lunch the waitress chided me for not responding when she asked me if I wanted soup (I was never asked). The Pud Thai curry with chicken was ok but lacked the distinct flavors I am used to in Thai curry. My spring rolls were just ok but the Thai coffee was very good.
This restaurant is not a good option for vegetarians. The people are nice and the food tastes pretty good but the only vegetarian option is a sweet and sour dish. Every other sauce on the menu is made with fish sauce and they can't accommodate alterations. These days, most Thai restaurants have decent fish free options or will make the dishes without fish sauce upon request. If I liked sweet and sour, I'd come back but as is, this restaurant doesn't have enough to offer.
I love their yellow curry fried rice. They make it the best.
This place is my go to!! Whenever hubby and I want Thai, we always know we can get great, fresh, delecious food from here. We get the Kow Pad rice with chicken and shrimp. Hey give big portions and you can choose your level of spiciness. I get medium. And it's perfect. My husband however gets he spiciest, with a little extra spice. Lol. I don't know how he does it. The wait staff isn't the friendliest, but they're not rude and they're efficient and quick. Location is good, with ample parking.
Service/ Food/ Quiet Tone...
A - 1 tai food
BEST PANANG EVER!!! YOU CAN'T GO WRONG @ THIS RESTAURANT!
Curry fried rice is king
Combination of low price and quality
Excellent Thai food for a good price.
Good service even with the Friday Lunch rush. Specials are good.
Love the #13 chicken medium. Awesum!
The best thai curry fried rice. Fried lovers must try.
Cozy ambiance. Very small place, but good food. Two dishes that were exceptional were the apple salad and curried duck. Rest of the menu items we ordered were middle of the road. Service was excellent.
Nice thai food close to my work, Very busy in lunch time.
Bangkok Hung is a small little place in a plaza. Friendly waiting staff and perhaps the best curry fried rice you will ever have. Always a good experience dining here.
Love the pad broccoli and best chicken satay
Delicious and tasty thai food. Absolutely love you go again
Thebest fried rice in life! Careful their spice levels are hot , mild plus = medium. Med=Hot They use chili paste πΆ
Food is decent and service is quick. A little cramped in space though.
It's decent
Comfy and quiet. Reasonably priced and good food.
Good Thai food, reasonable prices. Busy at lunch on weekdays.
I've been coming here for almost a year now and this is the best place for Thai food around the area. I have seen people wait for an hour for this place to open when they are running some errands around in working hours.
Try yellow curry fried rice, it is one of the highlights. I have given 4 stars and not 5 because I haven't tasted all the dishes yet that they offer on menu.
The gang Gai is amazing!!
I've been coming here for years! The best food and service. Their Brown sauce it's the perfect combination of sweet and spicy. None can compare!
Tasty, plenty of food but dark and the service was young and spoiled.
If you like dead rats in the building.. this is the place to go.
They had a dead rat and no one picked it up... never ate there cause I figured the rat died of having some bad pad prik.
Wow, Best Thai in the area. Will be going back to this place!
Pretty good
Amazing. Fresh. Crispy & Spicy! 5*
Been going here for 4 years. I think the ownership or the chef has changed. We always order beef and broccoli, which is normally good. The plate came back heaped high with broccoli, covering the meat. The broccoli was good, but, we were served some kind of meat that definitely wasn't beef. It was unrecognizable and chewy. We probably won't come back here. Afraid it was dog or rat.
Rude owner / would not credit me for a take out order that was made horribly wrong. She insinuated that it was a ploy to get free food. And, stated I should have brought the food back to the restaurant. This was a Saturday night when they were about to close- so no one answered the phone and they were closed on Sundays. I told her I was not aware of her food return policy. She basically did not care. When said I would never return again - she said "So".
This type of service should never be tolerated.
Some of my favorite Thai around town. Try the Gang Garee if you like Thai curry and also the Gai Tum Kha soup!
Best Pad Thai I've ever had! Just moved to the area and was really impressed by this place. I'll definitely be returning again and again. Service was pretty quick as well.
This is by far the best Thai food restaurant I have been to in a long time.
Nice hidden place, Great food, small, normally lunch wait of <10 Min.
Great food. In my opinion it's the best Thai Food restaurant I've ever been to. I've been going here for years. After Shamir's mom sold it, I continued to go. The food is still great.
One of the best thai food restaurants! The peanut curry with vegetables over noodles is the best at this location hands down. I love going here for thai food and day of the week!
The food (vegetarian-cooked) food here is excellent! The place is small but the food more than makes up for it. I've tried everything possible vegetarian here and you can't go wrong. The other great Thai restaurant in my book is Thai bistro in Canton, MI.
