Very good. Lunch specials from $10.95. Just $3.00 more to get the dinner. Little hole in the wall that is busy. Hot and sour soup was great. Drunken noodles and curry dish had lots of flavor.

Diner Review №2

This place has the best service and dishes I’ve had in a while. I love their atmosphere and the calm and soothing environment. The picture I shared is the drunken noodles I love it! I also love their cabbage soup I came here on a Tuesday so maybe if you come here with family on a Tuesday you will be able to try it!!

Diner Review №3

Love going to this place whenever I'm in town

Diner Review №4

Great cozy atmosphere and very kind service, although the portions of pad Thai are not very large. Nonetheless it’s worth a shot!

Diner Review №7

Awesome food.

Diner Review №8

Fried rice was terrible, it was bland with no spice and the rice was dry and so was the chicken. The pad se ew was good but pretty sweet with no heat. For the price it wasn't worth it

Diner Review №9

Diner Review №10

Terrific lunch specials. Today I tried the pad se-ewew with beef and chicken. Free cabbage soup was great as well.

Diner Review №11

Haven’t been here in awhile. So I thought I would review b/c this hidden gem made it through COVID and I want folks to know it’s still open. Great food, service is professional and the ambiance is family oriented.

If you decide to come here, let me know how you liked it.

Diner Review №12

Good food, reasonable prices, great service

Diner Review №13

My mother used to take us here. I went today because I miss her and I ordered her favorite, Basil Thai rice. The dish was so good (as always) but it made me feel closer to her. Nothing but good memories at this place. 10 stars is not enough.

Diner Review №14

First and last time here. Unfortunately, the Pad Thai was the worst I’ve ever had. I ordered it medium spicy and it still somehow tasted like pure sugar. The side of chili paste they charge for wasn’t enough to cut the sweetness.

Diner Review №15

pretty average curry, below average pad Thai - kinda dry.

Diner Review №16

Diner Review №17

The curry lunch noodles were not good at all. The small scallions were very fishy. I will not be back. I will stick to what I love, Thai express.

Diner Review №18

Menu, focused
Service, good
Prices, good
Food, better
Corny piped in Asian pop music, priceless

Diner Review №19

Edit: I was just informed that the pad thai cannot be made vegan!! This was my fault and not theirs as I'd only put "no egg" in the instructions. When ordering today, I'd put that I was vegan and they called me right away to let me know of my mistake! They did inform me that all of the fried rices can be made vegan though! A+++ service! Thank you for following up with me!

This was my first time trying this place and I left very happy! I got the pad thai mild lunch for pickup with no egg (I am vegan). I found the portion to be perfect for me. The veggies were fresh and well cooked, the noodles were delightfully chewy, the sauce was flavorful and plentiful, and the portions of the toppings were perfectly balanced. The mild has the tiniest hint of spice. For reference, I enjoy taco bell's Hot sauce and usually eat medium salsa. This was a bit too mild for me, but that's on me! If you have a spice preference like me, I'd try mild+ or even one step higher. All in all, this made for a delightful lunch break =)

Diner Review №20

So happy they’re back open!! This has been my favorite Thai restaurant for a decade and I was bummed when it temporarily closed, but I’m happy that the food and service is still great as ever!

Diner Review №32

The food has changed tremendously and the price has gone up significantly.
Spent over $70 for a family of 4. And no one was satisfied. I always order no spice (yes I know it’s Thai) but this time I think they added anyway. It was super spicy and almost no cashews in my pineapple fried rice.

They should most definitely go back to the plastic carry outs. The styrofoam containers leave the food soggy😩

I never leave complaints so this is a first for me. I just couldn’t not say anything.
I am truly disappointed! We drive an half hour to enjoy our favorite Thai place and this was truly disappointing.

Diner Review №33

These folks charged me $14.70 for the lunch Pad Thai with shrimp and it had exactly 6pcs of shrimp in the noodles! But barely any green onion. I literally drove 30 mins in my lunch bc the website looked appetizing. Pad Thai sauce tasted good.

Diner Review №34

Diner Review №38

Diner Review №39

Diner Review №40

The fresh rolls were ok but not very flavorful. The peanut sauce is more of a paste. The chicken was quite dry and little overcooked, but seasoned well

Diner Review №41

Diner Review №42

This use to be the absolute best Thai food place around … the food is not the same at all under new management. It’s such a disappointment

Diner Review №43

Diner Review №44

Absolutely delicious.
Best Thai I've found in the area

Diner Review №48

Stopped here for dinner during a work trip and enjoyed it a lot! Got the tom kha soup and cheesy noodles which were like a delicious mix of red curry and mac and cheese! Unorthodox but I'm glad I got it! The server was really nice and friendly as well. Pretty solid!

Diner Review №49

Diner Review №50

Top notch, can't wait to try everything on the menu. I'd been disappointed with the other Thai spots in the area, but Bangkok City has got it going on. The Tel-10 plaza is pretty rough looking, but the restaurant interior is clean and inviting.

Hey Now !

Just Had Lunch There The Other Day !

Service Was Great ( Felt As Though Our Party Were The Only Ones There ) Really Friendly !

Food Was Very Delicious ! I Would Recommend This Place To My Friends !

PAX !

Diner Review №53

Food was really good, we had dinner at 6 on a Friday and nobody else came in so we had the whole place to ourselves. Definitely deserves more love

Diner Review №54

I was so excited to see you open guys again. However, having food from you guys was today's biggest disappointment.
Unfortunately, besides the new management, the place got a different chief. It is obvious because the food is not even close to how it used to be. Over stirred rice, cheap food containers, spice level not thai food comparable.

Diner Review №55

Diner Review №56

Diner Review №57

Can't remember what the item was call, but it was all vegetables and I added chicken and shrimps to it. Well the chicken, I don't know what it was (texture was really weird) and shrimps had the tails still on them mixed in w/ all the vegetables. Wasted $23 on this meal. Will never go back again. Old owners was better. Also, person at register was super nice but other that...need to do better with the food!!!

Diner Review №58

Some of the best I have had around.

Diner Review №59

Diner Review №60

This restaurant used to be my favorite place to order Pad Thai, before they closed temporarily and re-opened under new management. I was excited to see that they had re-opened. Unfortunately, when I ordered Pad Thai a couple weeks ago, it was disappointing. It appears that their recipe has changed, and not for the better. It did not have as good a flavor. In addition, I ordered medium heat, and it was barely spicy. Please bring back the original Pad Thai recipe from before! I’d love to keep coming here for my Pad Thai fix, but unless it changes, I’m thinking I will have to look elsewhere.

Diner Review №61

Great service. Delicious food. Must make it a regular place to visit.

Diner Review №62

I used to come here years ago and its still as delicious as ever! Best drunken noodle I've ever had to this day.

Diner Review №63

RIP to one of the greats! Ever since this place reopened it just hasn’t been the same sadly. I usually order Kow Pad with Medium Plus spice. It’s usually so full of flavor but now it’s very bland, no flavor just rice, vegetables and some red pepper flakes. I even went back again the next week and it still didn’t taste any better. I use to love this place so much now I’m just out here wandering from Thai food place to Thai food place trying to find that flavor again 😔

Diner Review №64

Diner Review №65

The food here is excellent. I have yet to actually eat in. I've only gotten takeout. The people at the counter seem pretty friendly. Although the food is good it does seem a little pricey for what it is. Worth it when you're in the mood for it.

Diner Review №66

Excellent food and services.

Diner Review №67

Clean place with delicious food. They are always busy and I absolutely hate that they're not open on weekends.

Diner Review №68

Is the Southfield location going to reopen?

Diner Review №69

Placed a carry out order for Pad Cashew mild minus a few vegetables. Picked up the food and got back to work and see its has all the vegetables, has roughly a medium heat, and was missing the cashews (from a Pad Cashew meal). Had a similar experience at their other store in Frasier.

Update: This occurred right before the restaurant temporarily closed two months ago. In addition, the second store I mentioned before in Sterling Heights, was actually Frasier on 15 Mile.

Diner Review №70

Ordered online entree..got all the way to work in Sterling Heights and they left out the rice ...for $23 not exceptable..

Diner Review №71

Diner Review №72

Very arrogant owner, adding auto gratuities for party of 2 people to bill and and making customers to pay services charges on top of that. Very shady place and shady staff.

Diner Review №73

Diner Review №74

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Me and my boyfriend both got the Chinese fried rice. It came on a paper plate sitting in a pool of grease. I was so hungry that I tried to eat a few bites and I instantly got queasy from the amount of grease I consumed, the waitress was also rude. Bad service and definitely the worst fried rice I ever had.

Diner Review №75

I was here two years ago and the food was decent. I decided to try this place again since it is only 2 minutes from where I live. I love Thai and have it weekly, but going here was not a good decision. I ordered Curry Shrimp. The noodles were so over cooked and gummy, they clumped together like paste. What a waste of money. to one bite was hard to swallow . After one bite the rest was thrown directly into the garbage. There are great Thai Restaurants in this area but this is not one of them.

Diner Review №76

Diner Review №77

Time says 6:30 there closed. Pull up at 5:52 and closed. RIDICULOUS!!

Diner Review №78

Diner Review №81

First time here, started my new job from Ohio. Came for lunch food is delicious and they move with urgency and promptness!!! I got the curry noodles with tofu no peanuts with garlic with medium plus sauce so good OMG!!

Diner Review №82

Diner Review №83

One of the worst pineapple fried rice I have had. Couldn't not even finish half.

Diner Review №84

Good food. Great service.

Diner Review №85

Food is very good! Good value! Very clean. Very nice staff. Fast service.

Diner Review №86

Great food and fast service!

Diner Review №87

Pad Thai noodles over cooked.

Diner Review №88

Diner Review №89

It's good food. They misunderstood my order the 2nd time and gave me different dish but it was still delicious.

Diner Review №90

Diner Review №91

Not bad. A little less flavorful than I am used to be overall I would eat here again

Diner Review №92

Diner Review №93

Diner Review №95

Diner Review №96

Diner Review №97

Diner Review №98

I’ve enjoyed this place for the past couple years, but we ordered a decent bit of food, and all of the chicken wasn’t cut well, the chicken is gray and is chewy, very fatty. Pretty disappointing. Never had this problem before with this place but it’s truly just an awful experience.

Diner Review №99

Diner Review №109

Just came back here for the first time in about a year. I'm pleased to say the food is as good as ever. Only downer is the prices have gone up again but in the current climate for restaurants that's completely understandable. Thanks for keeping the bar high Bangkok City Thai!

Diner Review №110

They're not taking phone orders. Over the internet, but not actual phone calls. Lazy and using covid-19 as the excuse.

Diner Review №111

Love the food nice and very spicy just the way I love my food but as of today poor service I called first the recording said on line orders so I ordered on line when I drove up the sign said online or walking in the online order said wait for a text I waited 6 minutes decide to go in and saw my order waiting on a table I asked when I was going to get a text I was informed they don't text I told them that's not what it says now that's a way to loose customers way to pull down your restaurant

Diner Review №112

As a lover of all things spicy, I can say that this place gets it right! Not only is the restaurant’s spicy scale pretty accurate, the pad Thai is delicious as well! Will definitely be back

Diner Review №113

My favorite thai place. Good food.

Diner Review №114

The pad thai was gross not sure what's going on there. It used to be so good. This was their last chance with me. There was a strange new dipping sauce with the vegetable egg roles too. Didn't like it at all!

Diner Review №115

Good, but the spice need to change little.

Diner Review №116

There's 2 Thai food places in the area (that I know of), and this one is so much better, it's unfair to compare the 2 because the other one is no where close to being in the same league. Thanks for being consistently delicious guys!

Diner Review №117

Fast takeout during the work-week and always hot when I pick up. I normally go for the basil+pineapple fried rice and the hot and sour soup and keep half for lunch the next day. Limited seating inside around lunchtime so call ahead if you're planning on eating in.

Diner Review №156

Great food. Great service. Great price. Best pad ped of all time.

Diner Review №157

We had a table for 4. Waited 15 minutes which we knew already and was not a problem. Everyone placed their order and my guy Brad ordered his dish with a HOT+ heat index and was quickly checked by our waitress Makayla on his decision. He insisted and we just sat back and waited for the sweat show. It was great. Brad said it was hot but really good. Overall, really good lunch, great price and better service from our waitress Makayla. We will be back.

Diner Review №158

Very lovely service, clean and hot food.

Diner Review №159

Diner Review №160

I was skeptical as to whether this was going to be good, considering how it looks outside- DO NOT JUDGE BY THE OUTSIDE-
Service was great- fast- fresh food- I had the first fried rice option, on the menu- so flavorful, fresh, hot, and large tasty fresh shrimp and mild plus gives enough heat😊 The chicken pad Thai was just as delicious- lots of chicken, plenty of sauce , flavorful, nice heat- portions are enough for two dinners unless you’re really hungry and have an empty belly- Prices were quite impressive as most places are charging 10-15 for these same entrees and giving subpar quality product- $8 for chicken pad Thai and $9 for shrimp fried rice- This will be my go to for Thai - it’s right on my way home😊😊
