Favorite Thai food place ever! They have THE BEST tofu!!! Every time I go the food is spot on and everyone is so friendly. My only warning for others is watch out for your spice level it does run hot!
The clerk was so kind and attentive. The person who took my order over phone was also so kind. I am glad she told me over phone that it was cash only. The pad thai was very good and adequately described spice-level wise. I do wish I had been told the tofu was some impossible tofu as I was calling. Also there wasn’t as much of it as expected. The operator did confirm I wanted nuts which I thought was thoughtful considering so many people have nut allergies. Overall, I look forward to coming back again!
I’ve had better Thai food in a failing malls food court. 30 minute wait for carryout plus it took five minutes to get them on the phone. Cash only ! The appetizers tasted like they came from the freezer section of the Dollar General. The entrees were terrible both of them barley had 2oz of chicken, criminally skimpy. The sweet and sour just tasted like they deglazed a burnt pan with corn syrup, then squeezed a cats glands to add some color. Luckily there were some veggies to pick out and eat over the rice. The pad Thai was greasy, sugary and bland. The Tom Yum was Tom Yuck !! Just a strange bitter broth that I had to spit out. I have no clue how this place has any awards or such a high rating on google. I will never go back to this place. It was gross. So many better Thai places around.
I have been told by a few people how good thus place was.... I finally gave it a try. To be honest, I was very disappointed. My spring roll was cold, the pad thai (medium spice) had no spice, barely any flavor and was like soup at the bottom. The plum sauce was amazing, the chicken fried rice had a decent flavor. The chicken in both meals was tender and good.
I’ve been all over this planet and still haven’t had better Thai food than Pi’s. Make a point to stop here every time I’m in town.
We decided to try Pi's Thai Cuisine today , as we always have passed by this place. My husband and I tried the pineapple curry, pad thai, crab ragoons, and curry buns. Everything was so delicious and fresh, we were really impressed. We were really amazed by the curry buns, one of the best curry buns we ever had! Small restaurant with a lot of flavor, we will be back for more food from there!
Thee absolute best thai food in Macomb County!

Literally the best Thai around! They know us by name and are so sweet 🫶🏻
Been going here for years. Love their food. I like that their cash only..
Best thai ever it will ruin every other place for you.
Love this place BUT GET WEEKEND HOURS
The best Thai food that I have ever had.
Not a place to take a date it's a small place the carryout is soo good.
For 13 years I have been a resident of Michigan. Native Hawaiian from O'ahu (Hawai'i. Our food consists of all ethnic groups starting from the plantation days, Hawaiian, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Puerto Rican etc
Hawai'i is a melting pot and hands down the best tasting food ever! Not talking about the tourist traps that have fake luaus. We ate Hawaiian chili peppers daily with every meal so I was use to it. Being here this long my taste buds have healed and is pretty sensitive.
Anyways. I miss home and I cook, smoke or grill daily all 4 seasons of all my foods I grew up eating. somedays I get tired and just want to pay someone else to cook a good meal for me, where I completely get a food coma. 🙃
From Genesee County to Oakland I've tried every asian restaurant/take-out
This by far has been the real deal of Thai. Real spiciness. Unlike other places I've been to here in Michigan their medium heat or the hottest, always came out sweet. Not here. I love it!
I get the
N2 Pad sea ewe
N5 Pad kee Mao (drunken noodles) Dayuuum!! Literally, very similar in what we call chow fun noodles. Different ways to make it with different cooks but this hit home for me. I cried a little as it reminded me of home but so glad this place is located around the corner.
Love their chicken rolls that have poi (Taro) in them. I could eat that all day.
Anyways... The establishment is super friendly! I love that. The best places are the hole in the walls. Ya'll won't regret this place!
Now, if you aren't use to the spice I suggest starting from mild then work your way up. Definitely (ONO) - delicious!
$15 for just a pad thai take out for lunch! Nope i will just cook 30 cents ramen noodle at home. Never again for this price
The clerk was so kind and attentive. The person who took my order over phone was also so kind. I am glad she told me over phone that it was cash only. The pad thai was very good and adequately described spice-level wise. I do wish I had been told the tofu was some impossible tofu as I was calling. Also there wasn’t as much of it as expected. the food wasn't bad just wished there was more meat
Haven't been there in a while and good seemed slightly different this time. Not sure if new owners or cook.
Food is good with decent prices
The absolute best Thai food around ... Trust me, I make a 4 hour round trip, just to get their Pad Thai. Oh, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the Crab Rangoons.
The best always hands down
Was really disappointed with the drunken noodles
Not as good as they used to be years ago. And my recent experience was really bad. My food tastes as if it was an early in the day order that wasn’t picked up so they just reheated it and sold it to me
Worst tofu I've ever had, tamarind sauce has no flavor, honestly none of the flavor came together
I drove 40 min to get food from this place. I used to reside in warren. And my ex-father in law ate it all the time
I've loved this place in past...but for long time now can't get past a busy single & if you do they dont answer & you get a voice message from covid Era
Great food
The drunken noodles are awesome.
But HOLY COW even their medium is spicy. Too afraid to try anything hotter.
Nice place I use to come here so much the food use to be so good today I ordered fried chicken and rice with shrimp and broccoli no veggies no eggs omg it was so horrible waste of $35 I had stopped coming for like a year started going to a new spot I should’ve kept going I figured they’ve got better food was hard barley chicken in it wasn’t hot idk if they have a new cook or what but I definitely won’t be back I’m so mad because they use to be so good me and my boyfriend threw out food away I don’t recommend this place at all
The hottest and best tasting thai around.
Awesome
They have been in business forever and know their sweet spot. 😋
They got my order wrong. Didn’t realize until we were all the way home. Was a completely different meal.
Always great food
I have been told by a few people how good thus place was.... I finally gave it a try. To be honest, I was very disappointed. Sooo good worth the cash only
Their curry is the real deal. Hot is as advertised. Great food.
Wonderful service. Wonderful food. Their tofu is the best around and their spice level is perfect (it's actually spicy!)
It is cash only but there's ATMs everywhere these days... Including across the street.
This is my favorite Thai food and they always treat me like a friend!

So worth the wait...Cash only....Delicious Fresh Thai food!!! Please order the fried rice, it taste straight from Thailand. I've lived in Bangkok, so I know... 100% Authentic flavor, so good!!! The cook here is an amazing Thai guy!!!
Great food, great price, great people. Fuiyoh!
Great food
Best Thai around
Best Thai in town!!! Also the nicest people!!! Welcome back your fans missed you all!! See you next week!!!
They went to Thailand for new recipes. They give smaller portions. I guess they are cutting corners on taste.
Smug prick said sorry no more orders we close at 3 ..at 235... So never spend another dollar here in my life. I get it places have to close at some point but it was the patronizing tone that he clearly got off on his little bit of power that he had that really aggravated me.
Best Thai food around. Last time I waited 1 hour for an order they said would be 20 min. Also potions got smaller since last visit.
The BEST in the area without question. Bummed they are in vacation until end of August
Probably won't go back. Apparently they serve their food the way Pi thinks you will like it. You tell them mild and you get it medium hot. Rice is already mixed into the dish so there's that. meh...
I see a follow up from the owner after my review was posted over a year ago ! wow. why bother ?? Besides the food/service issue, the place is dingy and dirty and kind of a dump. That may be the most significant item which adds to the authentic flavors/atmosphere of this joint.
Kinda mid. Good portions. But really suspicious. Cash only, had holes in my to go box. Kinda killed my appetite.
(Holes as in the corner of the box lid was torn off like it had something dropped on it)
The best Thai ever
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
Food is always fresh.
Sometimes a wait, but that's okay for good food.
It is cash only, so be okay .
Best Thai food around, I drive all the way from Clarkston and even freeze a rice or two sometimes.
The pad Thai has very little flavoring even when we ordered medium spice. The portion size is very small for the price. The drunken noodles were decent but not great. The goi see me was HORRIBLE. The taste was off and gross. It gave us all diarrhea as well so I'm not sure if it was bad food or what but i frequent Thai restaurants and this was the first time we've gotten sick. I really hate to leave bad reviews but it was around $50 for all three dishes and we were extremely disappointed.
The BEST THAI FOOD EVER! This is by far my FAVORITE SPOT ! I wish they were open more often! Perfection every time ☺️!
I'm confused. This is the best Thai I've had in the area but every time I call I get a busy signal and can't order. I've called multiple times the past few weeks and never gotten even a ring.
so yummy!
This so-called hole-the-wall carry-out restaurant has the-best most-authentic Thai cuisine in metro-Detroit. Bring on the heat, Pi’s Thai reinvents the definition of spicy food - you can get your entrée served mild if blazing-hot food is not your thing. The tofu is unique and delicious. The Tom Yum soup made with lemongrass, Thai chiles , straw mushrooms and fresh cilantro is rich with flavor. It is cash-only so make sure you stop at the ATM before you go. Dishes are freshly prepared in minutes. There are a few places to sit (2 very small booths - seating for 2) it is primarily to-go food. Be warned this Thai food is highly addictive!
Good pad se ewew but not sure the hype I got from friends was deserved. Good prices.
The absolute best Thai food in Metro Detroit! Truly a hidden gem. The staff are the nicest people as well.
Love Thai food they also have brown rice
Definitely a gem ordered here 100's of times never had a problem
Best Thai food in southeast Michigan. Spicy and flavorful
Absolutely Love this place ! I’ve been coming here since the free press rated them a diamond in the Rough at 5 stars . That was over 20 yrs ago and I still agree with the review today.
Busy signal every time i try to call. Must not want new business.
Excellent Thai food. Nice and spicy. Friendly service.
Great Tasting Food!
THE BEST ANYWHERE ❣️❣️
Love the spring rolls best I have ever had ! Pad thai equally delicious!! I've been a customer for over 30yrs, Gee how long have they been around?? Just looked it up opened in 1986❣️Well over 30 is accurate!!!
What can I say great food great people there is one downside it is cash only but I’ll be going back to the kick me out!
The food is excellent every time I've been there it's been amazing make sure you order ahead because it takes a long time to get your food they make it fresh
Best Thai food around, 30 min from my house & still worth the drive.
Best around
I've had much better thai food for the same price. There was barely any chicken in my pad thai, the noodles were too thin, and I asked for medium spicy but it was more like mild. Not recommended.
My first and last visit there was just the other day The place is filthy you had to wait for your food anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour and a half and they only offer take out they only accept cash and I ordered a chicken meal and there was about five or six very very small pieces of chicken and the prices was very high Don't know what the attraction is can't figure that one out but I will tell you it is not worth it and I'll never go back again.
food is awesome
This place ALWAYS says open online. Never answers the phone.
Show me a better place and I'll show you the end of a barrel!
One of the best places I've eaten at! Clean and delicious!!!
Absolutely best Thai Food I have ever found!!!! I get extra, extrextra hot!!!! hot!!!!
Not enough chicken with the noodles
Love this place! And love the adorable counter boy Danny! Only place I’ll come to now!
Amazing, I ordered this on a whim cuz I couldn't go to my usual Thai place, blown away! Ordered pad Thai and drunken noodles, both delicious. Homemade spring rolls are banger, customer service was top notch. Will definitely be going back, massive portions great value
Have been coming here for years, always the best Thai food in the area. Staff is always so welcoming and nice!!
By far the best ever! Only problem is trying to order. They have been so busy it is damn near impossible to order. Expand please!! Add more staff and location! I need more pi thai in my life!
Delicious as always
Best Thai food around for many many years!! Family owned and operated. Very friendly. Been coming here 20+ year's. Always GREAT food.
I’m always on the quest for great Thai food. I read the reviews and just knew I was in for a treat. Boy was I wrong!! The rice was extremely dry!!! It lacked flavor and I have about 4 shrimp in the entire dish. I asked for extra tomatoes I received a few slices of cut up cherry tomatoes. My son said the same thing about his food. Unfortunately we will not be returning. Very disappointed!!!!! Waste of $34
I just ordered Pad Thai Med+. It is hardly spicy and for some reason it is very sweet. I am hoping this is some sort of mistake.
Best Thai food in metro Detroit! Fantastic food, fantastic staff.
Always great and reliable. Try the Tom Yum Soup. Really.
Their time estimates are always inaccurate, food usually take about twice the estimated time for carryout. If they say 20 minutes, it's more like 40. There has been times when they told me 40 minutes and I go there and have to wait another half an hour after their estimated time. Never fails, it's pretty annoying that they can't get it right. Also my appetizer is always cold. They don't time the food properly. They throw the appetizer in the fryer right away and don't get started on the entrees until right before you pick it up.
Their hours are extremely inconsistent. They always have a voicemail that says to check their Facebook page but their Facebook page isn't updated either. It's hard to crave this place and not be able to order. I probably am able to order maybe 1 out of 10 times when I try. Many days their phones go unanswered or they constantly have a busy signal when you call.
If customer service is important to you, then you probably won't like this place, the food's really good and that's it. It's cash only, dirty looking, not open on Sundays and has a longer than mentioned wait time. Don't expect anything fancy.
I called 9 times today when they opened. Finally got through and it was totally worth it! It's spicier than most Thai places. I got medium and it was on the border of too spicy but still very good. I love the Crab Ragoons and Drunken Noodles. The wait does suck and it's cash only but sometimes it's worth the hassle.
Best Thai food around!
The Kow Pad Prik Pow (basil fried rice) is by far the best I've ever had...and I've tried many.
The spice levels here are a bit higher than most Thai restaurants. Although, it's not quite as serious with the recent change in operations.
The best Thai food in the area. In my opinion. Gotta go early for the spring rolls, chicken rolls and crab Rangoon because it's fresh, handmade, and they usually run out during peak hours and can't take time to make more because it's too busy. N2, chicken, medium. Order it, you won't be sorry.
Good food, does not accept credit cards which I didn't know before getting there.
Just ok. For the prices, you don't get much food and it's not exactly the best. Gave it an extra star for the speed of the food prep and convenience of pickup, but there are better thai places in the area.
Excellent food. The wait can be lengthy. Service leaves something to be desired.
Usually always great food. The best Thai food around even if they do need to learn how to communicate….
Best Thai food in the Hazel Park area!
This is a Definite must try!
Try the drunken noodle With chicken or whatever you like you'll love it**
Still Delivering the goods. Freindly, happy, fresh cooked to order. Best Thai carryout around!
REALLY good food at a great price!
I luv this place, their food is so delicious 😋
Good place to go
Absolutely delicious, and authentic.
Kitchen doesn’t close at 8!!! Just tried to make an order at 7 and they said they were closed…. Doesn’t make any sense to advertise open until 8. Had to call fro 15 minutes before that and they wouldn’t answer their phone so needless to say won’t be ordering form here…
This is the best place to eat Thai food and the people are very friendly there also and i will be back again for sure
Best Thai, accept no substitute!
Ok found much better green currie elsewhere
Best Thai food in the country. I'm an otr trucker, been all over the place, and nothing, not even the food I got in San Francisco, compares to this little restaurant.
THE BEST THIA FOOD THERE IS.
I've been eating here for 15+ years. It's one of the few reasons I come to hazel park.
#21 veggie rice is awesome, lady at the counter is so sweet
Great food an very nice people..
Friendly staff and very spicy Thai food. I can overlook the cash only policy but the portion sizes are just too small to justify going here on a regular basis.
Likes
Meh. Average
Food smelled great unfortunately it was cash only so be prepared or go hungry
Best Thai food I've had
First time visit -- euphoria to the tenth power. Got something simple: Beef pad thai, and it was amazing. The service was great. FYI, they are cash only, so make sure you have some in case you stop in to order.
Some of the best Thai I've ever had! Such nice people putting out quality product. I'll be back for sure.
Great food if you can get them to answer their phone which I have never been able to do (went to order in person one time). Need an online ordering system!
Still buzzing off the high from this place. Unbelievable food here. All the other reviews mention it's hard to get them on the phone...that's not a bad thing! Will be back again and again.
The food is always so hot & fresh, cooked to order, all in a timely maner .The Staff is always warm & friendly..If I could, give Six stars I would do so in an instant.. They are a great example of how to run a business...
Great Pad Thai
Never have I ever......had less than the best service, food, and time here. There are no words to describe how GOOD the Drunken Noodle with chicken, medium(+) is. Well, except for those.
#10 children medium plus, awesome!
Awesome good, always hits the spot of you want good Thai this is the place to go.
Great tasting food.
Best Thai in America
Best Thai food around
Everyone insists this place is awesome. I got carry out for myself, my mom, and my aunt. My aunt and I both got Pad Thai. She ordered no spice and I ordered mild. I also asked to add broccoli to mine. I had about 6 pieces of broccoli and ZERO spice. My Mom ordered number 19 Kow Rard Na minus squid. She was very disappointed in the quality of the crab. She said it was imitation crab which really surprised me considering this place is supposed to be so awesome and it was not cheap! When I ordered the lady on the phone told me 50 min. I waited an hour and when I arrived I was told, with no apology, that he was just now making the pad Thai and it would be anotber 10 min. I waited in my car and when I came back in he was STILL cooking it. I still got no apology for the extra wait. Over-all we were really disappointed.
Amazing food!
great place, food is dependable, nowhere else does it hotter
Best thai food hands down, as authentic as you'll find.
Not the same as it used to be but it was still okay
Excellent food!!!!
