My husband and I got: beef pad thai mild spice, pork pad thai no spice, crab Rangoon, spring roll, and hot & sour soup.

Pork pad thai: a lot of food! Container was heavy. Delicious flavor! Noodles were perfect, peanut topping was good, sauce was amazing. 10/10

Beef pad thai: awesome! So good that after being full after being 80% done, had to keep eating to finish. 10/10

Spring roll: not bad, but average 7/10

Crab rangoon: the best crab Rangoon we've ever had almost. Filling was INCREDIBLE, dough just slightly chewy. 10/10, DELICIOUS

Hot and sour soup: I've never had it before, and my husband only once. This was good! The flavor was great, had a decent spice kick to it. 8.5/10

Above all, staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. When we had an issue with our order they quickly rectified the problem.

They have:
papaya,
chicken and rice,
pork belly,
hmong sausage,
nab vam, and
kapoon.

We had the Laos and thai papaya. Both were good. Laos had baby crab legs.

Clean and fast service.

I tried this place many years ago when we moved into the area under the name Bangkok, but was not impressed. Go Von Thai exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious and fresh, I ordered mild+ chicken pad Thai. It was cooked well with great spice level and lots of flavor. When I walked in I was greeted and thanked by the staff and who I assume to be the owner. The restaurant was clean and the prices were fair for quality and quantity. I will definitely be back!

Me and a family was in there, And it was my first time there, So I asked the host what should I get and he recommended me a Curry Pad Thai and it was delicious! I recommend coming here when you’re in the mood for some Chinese food!

If you want authentic Thai flavor, this is not the place. Food was pleasant on its own, but not the quality of Thai I look for. Pad Thai dish did not have bean sprouts or cilantro, Noodles were more like Ramen and they had put on chicken flavoring instead of a sweet tamarind. I was disappointed.

Fried rice is delicious! Very quiet and clean, staff was very friendly.

I had the hot and sour soup and pad cashew (medium+). The soup was a large portion but i didn't love the flavor. The pad cashew was good. The sauce is rich but med+ was not very spicy for me. I will go back to try other dishes based on the pad cashew.

Taste was decent enough but I ordered the dtom kha and received dtom yam-and there was no lemongrass taste nor any in there and only two piddly slices of mushroom.
Meh.

The owner was so rude my order was wrong so I went back to get a new order and they refused to remake my food so I asked for a refund and I was told they don’t do refunds after about 10 mins going back and fourth I was given a refund and she was so rude she told me not to come back because I wanted a refund do not recommend

Hmong owned and delicious Hmong food. The portions are great. My kids love the sticky rice and sausage and chicken. The green papaya salad is perfect and the curry noodles are so good! Simply delicious!

Worst I ever had , once upon a Time this restaurant was absolutely awesome 😎 perfect ratio when it came to noodles and meat rice and meat vegetation and spices. I truly believe this place is fell under new ownership because the meal is absolutely terrible and we've been going there for over 10 years

The Vegetable curry is pretty good.

Staff was polite. I ordered chicken pad Thai and there was barely any chicken (like 5-6 small pieces total), no bean sprouts, and barely any green onion. The dish was absolutely flavorless. Also a smaller portion compared to other Thai places in the area. Probably will go to a different place next time.

Went with my wife and was looking forward to an awesome dinner. Recently visited the Southfield location and was really impressed. This location was pretty unremarkable.

Ordered cashew chicken and they forgot the cashews. Sauce tasted like sugar and cornstarch. Asked for mild plus and no spice at all.

Wife got garlic pepper chicken. Same situation. Tasted like 3 day old dishwater mixed with cornstarch. Not spicy at all, even though she asked for mild plus.

Staff was polite and friendly.

Would not go here again.

Food was fresh, hot, and plentiful. I had veggie Pad Thai but was disappointed that there were no bean sprouts. Also tried the fried tofu appetizer, but it was completely tasteless except for the sauce, which I didn't care for. My husband enjoyed his noodles. Spices were done well.

I'm a light weight so I ordered NO SPICE and that's what they served. I ordered N2 w/tofu, so much food, so happy!!! Got the dinner serving so I have leftovers. My 88 yr old father had same thing w/chicken, he was very happy, first time he's had Thai. I'd encourage you to try them.

This was the second time I order food here, and probably the last.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming, especially the lady the middle aged woman that works the register as well as she cooks. Being I just moved here to Michigan from NC with my wife who is American, I was craving for some home food, did some browsing but every thai restaurant seems like any other mediocre restaurant with the same old boring menu, whereas this is much more of a whole in the wall true to authentic cooking. She was even kind enough to give me directions to local asian food marts that are from the region and not korean markets(which typically don't have ALOT of the things these local thai, laos and hmong community provides.)

I normally get the "Laos style papaya salad, she will ask how spicy and for those who don't know would normally answer with mild, hot, or very little. But those who do know what she means is how many fresh peppers. I normally get mine with 20 peppers. Its soooo spicy and satisfying(for those that like heat and flavor) whereas my wife normally gets the quarter chicken leg or hmong sausage with sticky rice and she always wants 2 extra qts of sticky rice to bring home. Overall this place is definitely a must visit and eat. I'll definitely continue to give them my buisness.

Love this place! I rate this the most flavorful Thai restaurant at 15 and Garfield. The Hmong dishes are my favorites including their version of pho. Try them all!

Just moved to the area. We've gotten them 3 times so far and each time it's gotten worse. I always give places chances to improve but I'm done wasting
my money. Portions are always different, "mild" means plain with no seasoning of any kind, pad thai was soggy and overcooked. Weird taste. Won't be trying again. Only 2 stars because my husband liked the taste of his food each time.

This is my go to Thai place, always a pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff.

Worst experience ever! We found an inch long bone in one item and smaller peices 4 other items. We called and brought everything in an we were then called liars by the owner and 2 other employees, even with proof. They then dug through the food we brought back trying to find more bones and contuined to tell us that the bone was not from them that it must have been planted by us, and so on. We were also told that we should have kept eating it because bones are no problem, but we were feeding this to small children who would have choked on it. We ended up getting our refund but the way it was handled was awful. Plus the food was bland and mushy. Never going here again.

A great place for Thai food. Was hard to find on google because their name is similar to other places but the word "City" in their names which can trick google. I enjoy the food and the people. Catfish Curry and Fried rice is on point.

Great little Thai restaurant. we eat here all the time and the food is always great and fresh. The Taste is very consistent and one of the Best around the area. The Chicken Egg rolls are the hands down best egg rolls around.

While I understand food cost, this is a little over the top. Raise the price, and or at least put some extra vegetables in it.
I had noticed the last time I had noodles there was very little meat in the entree but never said anything.
Food is good, but no longer worth the price.

HORRIBLE FOOD HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! Ordered Pad Thai which was average, Sweet n sour chicken &3 spring rolls(paid for 3, only received 2! I picked food up at 8:30p they close at 9. My kids& I aren’t overly picky but had the sweet n sour at 10 other restaurants& this was so terrible we couldn’t eat it. The sauce was almost light pink in color. They were already closed by time we tried it, I called next day to graciously ask to either get a refund or simply get something different. I was also going to bring food back, not looking for free handout just couldn’t see throwing $12 in garbage. I was floored when the lady literally told me to bad if we didn’t like it& too bad I was shorted a spring roll I paid for! I’ve never had any business treat a customer so disgusting! I asked why’d she rather loose a customer then make things right like any GOOD business would! She came right out& said “I don’t care”!

My coworkers and I used to regularly get food here and it was fantastic but lately its just been way too spicy. You order mild and its like drinking hot sauce. If you dare to order hot plus its like drinking battery acid. It never used to be like this. We ordered the spice on the side and a few specks on my finger made my tounge feel like it was melting which isnt how it used to be. Unless this is changed and they go back to seasoning how it was before im not going here anymore

Been here 3 or 4 times now, and the food has always been exquisite. Best Pad See Ew I've had in many years (and I try it everywhere I go, so that is saying something)! The staff is also very friendly. If you're worried about traffic on 15 Mile Rd, don't worry; it is easy to get in and out of the parking lot, even with the sinkhole construction nearby. All the businesses near this area need support during the sinkhole crisis, so if you haven't tried Bankok City yet, please do. So delicious!

This has to be one of the best Thai restaurants in the area. I used to have to drive to get good Thai food until I discovered this place was in the neighborhood. The pineapple fried rice is amazing, even my boyfriend liked it and he is super picky. The Pad Thai is excellent too. Bangkok City is my go to from now on.
