Thai and Vietnamese cuisine.
The broth! My god the pho broth is so good here, oniony and savory, but still perfectly complemented by heaps of basil, spring onion, and bean sprouts. The meat portions are big, the summer rolls are stuffed with veggies and served with thick peanut sauce, and the mango sticky rice is subtly sweet and syrupy.
Also really good conversation with the server, there's no downside to a visit here. Worth finding the parking!
Wonderful restaurant with delicious pho & taro buns! My fiance and I ordered in when we weren't feeling too well - could not have asked for a better meal. I had the Pho Ga which was warm and comforting. My fiance had the Pho Che, finished every bite, and said it was the perfect meal. We were both pleasantly surprised with the incredible taro buns which were the perfect balance of texture and sweetness without any overwhelming elements. We will definitely be eating here again in the future and highly recommend to folks in the Waltham area.
We ate here for the first time and were thoroughly impressed. The Pho was delicious with broth that is cooked for 3 days which gives it huge depth of flavor. We had a bowl of chicken and a bowl of beef and highly recommend both. The owner came out and talked with us for a while since we needed to be gluten free. He made us feel very comfortable with the GF options and proper food handling. They also cater to dairy free and vegan diets. We will be back very soon.
Pho & Spice is an intimate, friendly eatery. Very kind, thoughtful service by the owner himself! Love to visit every time I'm in the neighborhood. Servings are generous so bring your appetite, I like to try something new whenever I go! 🫶👍It's five-star delicious!
Edit: We got a refund on the 3 dishes that we had to bin. The restaurant was actually helpful in facilitating this process so I would like to thank them for that.
Inedible food. I ordered a rice plate with beef and it was some dry pieces of beef and a salad on white rice. No sauce, nothing. The chicken satay was yellow and tasted like sugar. It was appalling. We called and they were defensive and non-apologetic. On hold with ChowNow (for God knows how many minutes) trying to get some money back. Paid $50 for food that we have to throw in the trash.
Pho & Spice makes the best Tom Kha soup I have ever had.
The curry dishes I tried were excellent and the drunken noodles were delicious too.
The staff provides excellent, friendly service.
They got new ownership and the improvements have been immediately noticeable. Quality of the food and service has increased by a lot from before. Pho is rich and flavorful. I tried the larb last time I was there and that was delicious as well.
pho & spice is our favorite place to eat in waltham!!!
the restaurant is small but decorated very nicely. the staff are always wonderful. my partner loves it because he's gluten free and vegan (allergies), but there are still menu options he can eat.
he usually gets the mango curry with tofu, and i get the orange chicken. it's the best orange chicken i've had - the sauce is so delicious, not too heavy or too liquidy, and though they give you a hefty serving of veggies they don't skimp out on the crispy chicken! and i'm not a big fan of tofu, but their tofu delight appetizer is so good - after the crunch, it just melts in your mouth.
we've become regulars even though we don't usually eat out much. the staff are very appreciative by occasionally adding an extra item to our order, which is never expected but always sweet of them. i can't recommend pho & spice enough!

Was not open when I came at 2p Saturday 1/11/25
Great food awesome service.
I just got my food and this was my first time ordering in this restaurant. I got chicken drunken noodle and Gyoza (pork) 🥟 so yummmmmmmyyyyyy
Spice level was top notch
I am def ordering more in the future.

Authentic Vietnamese and Thai food, clean and neat atmosphere, and warm service, etc Got to try it!
Pho was great! Eat-in is not the specialty (herbs were served in plastic bags), but it was the most flavourful pho around!
We were really disappointed with the food here. The pad Thai was the worst I have ever had, it was somehow sticky, sweet, and greasy at the same time. The Pho wasn’t too bad. Another soup we ordered tasted like canned tomato soup. They seem like a nice local business, but our food was just terrible.
I had the Tom Yum soup. It was excellent.
Did an order pick up since I work not too far but I’ve never seen green colored hue beef before in my soup I took a bite and it tasted bitter and off. I’ve had pho from here before and it’s always been great when I ordered and picked up. But the color on the meat was just off has anyone also experienced this?
Update: Following after they did reach out to me to try and replace meal and or see what could be done. While I appreciated and considered towards the end of closing my stomach was not feeling well and fell nauseated the entire night, did not spend my night well resulted sick. I understand the reply you are giving me but the smell was off and when biting into it I could not swallow it down it had no flavor in meat and no flavor towards the broth at all. Never, I repeat seen that before at any pho place I've gone to, a lot of pho locations. Never encountered that before and id understand but what I tasted was sadly not beef, Not Fresh. Again I've ordered in the past from here but this recent experience I don't think I will again after resulting unwell.
This place has great food and top notch customer service. Dea along with the entire staff are great!
I came here last night with my friends and I got the mango curry and it was the best thing I’ve ever tasted in my life
Disgusting. Bahn mi was barely anything. Pork was minimal and what was there was fat and gristle. Pho had GREEN nastiness . I am sad about how pathetic a meal. Regrets !!
Edit: We got a refund on the 3 dishes that we had to bin. The restaurant was actually helpful in facilitating this process so I would like to thank them for that.

We just ordered 3 Pad Thai dishes, the absolute worst Pad Thai I have ever eaten, I threw most of it away. It was in some sort of an unrecognizable sweet and sour sauce, horrible.
This place is amazing. I order from them 1-2 per week. The food is always made fresh when I order, still steaming when pick it up. The only disappointment was when they told me they no long have short ribs on the menu. Bummer! Nonetheless I continue to patronize because of my fav seaweed soup. I definitely recommend pho & spice In Waltham on moody street. It will become ur favorite spot too.
Their chicken soup is to die for. So yummy - my fave pho in the area.
Good food
Everything is excellent
limited veg options, I tried vegetarian pho,
it was good
view is good from window, street view is nice
Was fairly tasty. A bit pricey for portions.
Great Pho. Very nice staff. Come here a lot
very bad store
They don’t care 😡😡😡😡
Pork sandwich desperately needs more meat. Would be amazing and would happily pay more. Currently too soggy and unfilling :(
Very good
We dined in and got crab rangoon, tai pho, and bun bo hue. Everything was delicious, pho servings were generous, and staff was super friendly!
Tom Kha soup is to die for YUM!!!
Life is short….F it up! Family, Flavor, Friends.
Walking down Moody Street we were in the mood for some nice warm pho. We opted to go to this place as it was recommended from one of my friends. When we got there, we didn’t realize that they were about to close. The owner was very hospitable and took us in. This is the first time that I’ve had for over here. As you know, awful places are different and their soup is what makes them different. The soup was very soothing and had a different twist as it had a thicker bone broth base very simple, very clean and good. We also picked up a few other appetizers, chicken wings, fried spring rolls, fresh spring rolls, and some chicken on a stick all were pretty good very simple again it’s cooked like it was it would be at your house. Give us four stars there’s always room for improvement but definitely worth checking out.
Ordered 4 Bahn Mi sandwiches. There was barely any ingredients. A few scraps of pork. Barely any carrot and 2 coriander leaves. The bread was nice, but empty.
Delicious. Fresh rolls, bun, pho... It's all wonderful!
I ordered pad thai using their intuitive website, and my food was ready as I arrive. The food was delish and inexpensive. There is some seating available in the restaurant, but the space would quickly become crowded at rush hour. This restaurant does not have outdoor seating, but there is plenty of space to eat elsewhere. I will definitely try other dishes here if I visit Waltham again.
We had a large order for takeout from this location. I must note that for the size of our order, everything was very well packaged, nothing was missing, and the staff was nice when I arrived.
The food was good. Their Pho isn’t quite as flavorful as other spots in Newton/ Boston, but very close. I appreciate that they separate their broth from the meat and noodles so nothing gets soggy.
The appetizers were generally ok. The crab rangoon and chicken satay were what you’d expect. The only disappointment was the summer rolls, which had far too much lettuce and were falling apart. Everything else was fine. I appreciated the limited time offer of free scallion pancakes on Uber Eats.
I’d order again from here. Worth a visit if nearby.
Give it a try guys!
Great take out, great price
We have been there 3x within the last month. The menu is improved from before. Had the Bo Phu Hue, the Vietnamese beef noodle soup, which is great. Had the basil pork meal combo (a Thai dish), also great. Like the fact that it's self-service which means there's no waiter service. This is great because it means not having to pay a tip. Great place, highly recommend it. Will definitely be coming back!
My favorite pho!
I love this restaurant!
Pho and Spice is one of my two favorite restaurants in Waltham (the second is Pepino's Dosa). Pho and Spice is a common order when my boyfriend and I feel like getting take-out. If you're into salty soups like me, I am in love with the Tom Kha and Yom Yum soup they have and recommend them. I eat mostly vegetarian so I get those a lot, but everything I've tried from there has been really good. I love that they also have bubble tea, and every time you order it, the plastic cup comes with a different cute drawing sharpied on it. I've been collecting them and I probably have like over 10 now. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with them. Anyway, I recommend this restaurant. There isn't a whole ton of seating, though there seems to often be enough, but the quality of the food is so good that it's super worth taking out.
Good lunch option on Moody Street. A few outdoor tables with umbrellas are a nice add. You can get some seriously spicy or mild Thai entrees. Friendly staff.
This place could use a lot of improvement. Since they offer sit down dining it would be nice if they had actual bowls and plates. It’s not so appetitzing to eat pho in a thin plastic bowl. The inside needs some renovations although it’s ok. Hoisin sauce given was a tiny amount in a small plastic cup we had to ask for more. Pho tasted ok… definitrly tasted watered down. Meat given was a decent/good amount. Bean sprouts coming in a bag was not so appetizing. Lastly… sad to say I found a small hair in my soup. Probably won’t come back here for pho.
Really good duck pho and UDON noodles! Decent prices as well, Will definitely come back here.
The food is excellent and delivery and takeout have always been prompt and correct.
Good customer service, wide variety of viet and thai food.
Wonderful customer service. We placed a large order through Grubhub which unfortunately resulted in some confusion, and Pho and Spice called me multiple times to confirm that they had everything the way we wanted it and to make sure our order got delivered on time. Thank you so much for creating such a pleasant and smooth transaction! Cannot recommend enough.
The lychee bubble tea was great!
The pho ga was delicious! Can’t wait to return to try more dishes!
A cute hole in the wall with delicious food and great service. The owner is also the one taking your order and it's clear she has a lot of pride in what she does. Definitely worth supporting if you're in the mood for Thai.
Delivery was good, but food was very disappointing.
Tom yum soup was way off and way too sweet. Vegetable Pho had no taste at all. Chicken bahn mi was okay.
Great food and very nice people— I ordered online and then accidentally got there early and they made it right then! I wouldn’t have expected that— but they were slower and so took the time to make my day easier. Thank you!
I had a shockingly bad experience here. To start, the food is very bland and they seem to use no spices in their cooking. The pad see you noodle dish had zero taste and they were the most empty calories I've ever eaten. We also ordered the pad thai which just left a bad taste in your mouth. On top of this, I had asked for these dishes to include vegetables & tofu, normally places would do 50/50 of each and they went ahead and added the vegetables as an 'extra' and it added $10 onto our three entree order. No disclosure about that and they didn't take it off when I asked about it at pick up. I highly recommend you avoid this place at all costs!
•Amazing!!! The food tasted fresh, and one person could get a plate of food here for $10-20, but the Thai tea, Boba tea/shake options are a little pricy, average of $4-5. If you wanted to go all out with appetizer, entre, drinks and desert, it'd be about $20-25 per person. But the quality of the food is soo worth it.
•Real Thai tea!!! My mom used to buy Thai tea leaves and brew it herself in bulk. Have been very disappointed by fake Thai tea in grocery stores. I'm so happy to have found a place that sells real Thai tea $3.75!!!
•I have celiac disease and did not have a reaction to gluten! Their menu states allergy warnings for each item.
•Small restaurant on Moody Street, no immediate parking, but plenty of street-side parking and a public parking lot you can pay to use.
•$3 delivery within 30 miles through them, or you can use doordash/grubhub/chownow
•No public bathroom, so plan ahead
•indoor dining space is limited. During covid there's only 3 tables, 10 seats available in total.
My soup was good. My dumplungs were a bit slimy. The rice in the pineapple dish was mooshy......was this fried rice or sticky rice??
Good food
Food was average. Delivery was late, didn’t even have the full order. Unfortunately I got pho with the raw steak sitting next to the warm broth for over an hour. We’re disappointed and cannot recommend nor will we be ordering here again.
Broth was a little bland for their pho. I ended up having to add a little bit of soy sauce and fish sauce which made it perfectly serviceable. Also would have liked if they had provided hoisin and Sriracha. Summer rolls were a bit lackluster, but spring rolls were delicious.
Hands down the WORST pho I’ve ever had. I was honestly surprised when I tried it—completely flavorless broth (as if they forgot to add any salt at all). Packaging and service were fine, but there’s absolutely zero excuse to mess your namesake dish up this badly.
Great food and our go to place for pho. I recently got the sticky mango rice and wow, absolutely amazing. They are always prompt and so courteous!
Great to have pho again! Our favorite place! No basil this time though and they didn't let us know.
Very bad
I’m giving 3 stars because the Pho was amazing. The broth is so rich and flavorful, and they give a decent amount of protein. But I was very disappointed with my steamed veggie dumplings, they were smushed and soggy.
wonderful service. always kind. GREAT food. I love the Ginger Entree, and all of the apps are fantastic!
If pho is in your name you should have good pho if nothing else. Ever since Covid hit, their food quality went down the drain. The first time i got pho after phase 2 when restaurants re-opened i noticed it was oddly bland but not terrible. From there it has been getting worse and worse. Now i ordered pho the other day and the pho is just unbearably salty. I didn’t want it to be this way. I only post bad reviews when a restaurant does not deserve to be as highly praised as it is. I want to support local businesses like pho and spice especially in times like these but don’t expect me to go back after getting food that is inedible. I hope the money you are saving skimping out on your food is worth the customer loss.
Good pad thai, inexpensive but perhaps not the highest quality. Not a huge fan of the sauce.
Just tried this place for the first time (take-out), and I hate to be harsh but this was honestly the worst Vietnamese restaurant food I've tried. If you like good Vietnamese food, you'll be severely disappointed here. Ordered pho dac biet, pork bun, papaya salad and some house special noodle dish and all were bad. Pho broth was salty without complex flavor, bun pork was not bbq and tough to chew, house special noodles came with duck that was incredibly dry, and the salad had green beans that had the texture of thawed-previously-frozen. No one in my family could finish, and I had to end up making other food, which I was trying to avoid by ordering take-out. Again, hate to be harsh, but wish other reviews had done me this favor so I would've known to avoid this.
Quick service and really good food
Great food 🥘 try there papaya salad 🥗 make sure you ask for less spicy 🌶 if you can’t handle the heat 😭
Don't go here, food is bad
My go-to spot for pho and Tom yum rice noodles soup! The service is always great and so is the food! The mango ice cream and sticky rice for dessert is amazing!
first time ordering from them and the food was excellent! will definitely order from them again. I recommend the Moody St. Noodle
Very good
Awesome soup noodle joint i just cant get enough of !!!
Great pho. Fresh rolls and beef ribs are amazing!
Great Pho
Excellent service, great vegetarian options!
Very good food but portion sizes seem inconsistent for the price
Small place and average taste. Pho is beyond sweet and kinda watery. Noodles is too chewy.
Duck noodle soup was unbelievable. I can’t wait to go back for more!
Have been several times. The food and service is always great
Food was not that good
Excellent service and great food 👍
Great casual Asian food and soups
Good decent food but very over price for tiny amounts . Seating very limited can not take baby in highchair no room at all .
You need to try fried rice, ice thai tea, satay, and sweet sour salmon soup. I love them! The team is very nice and friendly. The price is reasonable. They serve food very fast, even to go food you just order when you got there. Unfortunately, sometimes they are out of something that you are dying to try or to eat when you visit. For example, salted fried rice.
good boba, and they drew cute animals on our cups!! ❤
This is my go to place for pho and pad thai
Delicious
Good Thai food joint with extremely fast service
Crispy duck with "secret" brown sauce is OMG to die for. Best food ever.
I really enjoy their pho. big portions for a reasonable price and friendly service at a clean place.
Its OK
I'm a big Thai food fan, and out of all the places I've tried in Waltham so far, this is definitely the best. As a vegetarian, there are plenty of options to be had that doesn't break the bank. Service was also great and fast. Will definitely be my go to Thai place now.
Medium Dac Biet or Duck Noodle Soup, - best things ever. Plenty of other really delicious plates to try as well. The only drawback is that they don't look as a fancy restaurant, but the taste of their plates will make you doubt it.
The place and service were good. The food itself was just decent. We ordered everything vegetarian. The crispy vegetarian rolls were good but the filling didn't have much vegetables. The Mango curry just had mango chunks with very little curry. The pad Thai was quite good compared to the rest of the food.
Delicious! Definitely try the mango ice cream over sticky rice!!
Very tasty, very fast 💗
Excellent Bahn Mi
So good they had to open a second location!
The service was top-notch; the wait staff were highly attentive to the level of being caring. We really enjoyed the Okdol Bibimbop (Chicken) and the rest of our party loved their Pho and Noodles.
Ordered bun bo húe. 100% tasted just like pho. They used same broth! A whole bunch of ingredients also missing. Quail eggs, blood, etc. called to let them know, I was told those don’t come with the soup I’d have to order sides and pay extra. The soup was just noodles, some dark meat, broth. THATS IT!!! Get this out of your manu if you don’t make authentic! Very disappointed.
Great food. It's worth trying something new and checking out.
Food was 👍 Service was 👎
It's a smaller place, but somehow with only a few tables that manage to still take a while to actually make the food and bring it out. For a while we actually thought they lost the order, and then it started arriving in pieces. Food was good though, we enjoyed it when it finally arrived.
There are a few other Pho spots on Moody Street with equally good food, you're probably better off going to one of them.
Really enjoy this place. The Pho is better than many in the Dorchester area. And the service is prompt and efficient.
This is a little restaurant we chose when we couldn't go to our original pick (needed reservations even, or maybe especially, to sit at the bar) had Vietnamese and Thai dishes (? - I think 'Thai' is correct) that was tasty and just the right amount spicy, served by THE most cheerful wait staff I've encountered in a long while
We heartily recommend it!
Very nice food
Good pho and super quick service!
Tiny place with big flavors. Vietnamese and Thai menu with just about everything. The pho is amazing and well-priced. My favorite is the duck noodle soup. Tastes and feels so good on a cold day. Also they have Thai iced tea, which is very tasty.
Love the lunch combos!
Great for hangovers.
I ordered the ribs and found myself unable to eat any of it. Once the knife finally got through the meat, I tried chewing it and it was like a mouthful of rubber bands. I've never experienced anything like it. I was so confused; thinking that maybe I had misunderstood what I ordered. I definitely would not recommend.
Great food, good service!
Small and very suitable place and food is very tasty
Pad Thai and pho?! WOAH!
Great food and prices
Extensive menu of fruit drinks & bubble teas as well as tasty food & friendly service.
Best pho in town
Solid choice for authentic, fresh Thai ... usually take-out but they do have small adequate dining room if you prefer.
