Authentic Thai Street Food
One of my favorite restaurants ever! The food is so fresh, and everything is great. I am consistently amazed every time I come here. You can tell they take pride in high quality fresh food. My personal favorite is the chicken satay but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!
Yai’s kitchen is a must try for local foodies who enjoy authentic Thai food. I do highly recommend reserving a table ahead of time if you plan for dining in. I’ve a pleasure of ordering Chef Renu’s special pop up events where she hosts in many locations.
Norton location offers street food style of Thai food. Chef Renu strives for fresh and authentic food, she prepares her own spices which makes the food taste wonderfully flavorful. Weekly special menu is vary depending on seasonal vegetables. If you’re curious about how it tastes like, just come and order her specialty which will be different each week.
My personal favorites are look chin, gyoza, pad see ew, pad woon sen, pad kra pow and massaman curry. I haven’t mentioned about the dessert, save some room to try sweet black rice with custard in banana leaf. This place is a foodie paradise!
A Google search told me Yai's kitchen served dishes which were less common to Thai restaurants in the area. Pork & Noodle meatballs and the chicken & noodle dish, Khai Soo jumped jumped off the screen. It had great diner reviews as well and I headed there on a late Saturday afternoon.
Unfortunately, those items were no longer available and the menu looked a lot more like every other Thai joint in the region. But I stayed and order a couple of safety items - Gyoza (dumplings are usually fun at their worst) and Drunken Noodles (their inherent spice level often cover any flaws)
The Vegetable Gyoza were fine. - Cabbage, carrot, edamame in a super thin fried wrapper. Nothing exciting but they made a decent light app with the lightly sweet vinegar sauce.
Pad See Mao noodles were pretty spicy but not really spicy enough for Drunken Noodles. They were, however, incredibly delicious. Lots of flavor layers - krachai, pickled fresh green peppercorn stood out and the smokiness to the dish was way cool. Possibly the best version I've had in the US.
I'd definitely go back - maybe those little pork meatballs will show up on the specials board some day...
Stopped here on a whim on the way back home and had a wonderful dinner. Fresh rolls were delicious with the best peanut sauce I’ve ever had. Chicken pad Thai was a generous portion and tasted wonderful. Great service and atmosphere I would definitely come back again to try something.
Delicious pad kee mau (spicy drunken noodles) that was prepared vegan with tofu. Staff was savvy to what vegan meant without even having to explain it and were super friendly when they stayed open a few extra minutes after closing time for me to pick up! Will be coming back here again 🥰
I wish I could give them 0 star. They served stale food without even bothering to heat it up.
Fresh, tasty food and very nice people.
I’ve had several apps and dishes there and all were
great.
I love everything about this place. The food was fresh and saucy, just the way I like it. Far from home, but worth the drive.
Delicious food and great service!
Yai’s has a really nice place, and the people are super friendly. The food is delicious and students even get a 15% discount. Everything about this place is a must have on anyone’s checklist for Thai food.
Great location, beacon of hope as an Asian student.
I love Yai’s Kicthen! Honestly the best comfort thai food in Norton
Super yummy pad see ew!
Awesome place!! Friendly atmosphere and yummy food😋
Probably the best Pad Thai I’ve had in my life!
Staff was very kind and had no problem correcting a mistake with my order. Food was super quick and tasted amazing! Would highly recommend!
I stopped in for the first time today to buy lunch. I ordered The Lunchbox $12.95 special.
My choices were Pad Tai with tofu and gyoza for my side. I also ordered Thai iced tea and coconut soup. Everything was very tasty.
Yai’s is a really nice place to eat, the food is delicious and it’s amazing for students. I love the soups and highly recommend tom yum kung.
The food is vibrantly flavorful no matter what you order. Good vegan and vegetarian options and the staff was very willing to make ingredient adjustments. Overall amazing.
Food and dine-in experience were great and comfortable! A great place to go to just spend time with friends and hangout!
The food is delicious and they have the best Thai ice tea. Highly recommend coming here!

We thought Yai's Kitchen was a great place. We were in the neighbor at lunch and love Thai food. This was our first time and it will not be our last. The fresh rolls were so fresh, pad Thai was fantastic, husband loved the chicken and staff was so friendly.
been getting food from this place for a while its always yummy
Love the bang bang wings
Warm and Friendly atmosphere with delicious food options with students in mind.
Food was wonderful, the staff were very kind and the atmosphere was very nice and not busy at all. Definitely recommend.
Great place Highly recommend!!
Amazing food and service
The food is wonderful and delicious
Everyone that works here is super nice! This is my first time here and the food is great and well priced! Highly recommend
Super quick, they brought the food out to me to my car
Amazing food!!!!
Love coming here! Best Thai food in Norton! Saves me the hassle of having to travel to Boston for authentic Thai street food. The staff is always friendly, the food is fresh, and the space is never dirty. Seriously appreciate it all, hopefully this review will inspire others to show patronage!
My go-to. Really great Pad Thai, and staff that is consistently friendly and familiar. Love Yai’s
Best Thai food around!!
Absolutely love eating here. Food is amazing, service is fantastic prices are very reasonable. Definitely my go to Thai place!!
I go to this place often!! The pad won sen is my favorite, and it’s always fresh! The staff is so nice too!
Great service, fast and nice, food is good and not too expensive for how big the portions are
Yai’s is delicious, the atmosphere is cozy, and service is awesome!!
First time trying Yai’s and I’m very excited, have heard great things! So far service is excellent
First time trying Yai’s kitchen and I am
very excited to see how the food tastes! The atmosphere is very authentic and the staff was very friendly and polite!!

Best thai in the area!
I love this place. Great food, really nice people. They work super hard here and make simple, well crafted, and delicious food.
The Tom Kha Gai included lots of chicken and may be made with coconut & cow’s milk which didn’t agree with me.
The fresh rolls were okay.
I was disappointed.
Excellent food!!!
Keep doing what you're doing
Very nice people working there
If you’re not eating at Yai’s, which has wonderful service and joy from the kitchen, you’re not eating the most delicious possible food in Norton if not Eastern MA. Wheaton College students, this is where you need to be for off-campus food!!
Ordered crab Rangoon and they were the worst I've ever had. Not only was the Rangoon itself off putting but the duck sauce was not even close to complimentary. Also had egg shell in my noodle dish. Best thing I can say is the noodles and veg were cooked well. Not ideal for $50+
Great place to sit and eat while studying. Food is amazing 👏
The kid at the register is good people good vibes !
Delicious food and kind people!
Meh. Fine for a little town.
Best food kind service !! I can't Waite to go back .
Um....really no words to describe how sweet, thoughtful and appreciative they are to have you try their cooking and, MY GOSH.... I can't wait to try the whole menu! You're the best YAI! Made my day with your cooking. They also have a food truck they run.

I never been to Thailand but I would imagine that this tastes just like it is over there. I've going to another thai restaurant for awhile and that place doesn't even touch yais kitchen everything was fresh and amazingly delicious you can tell they put love into the cooking I definitely recommend going here. This is my new favorite spot!!!
They were so busy and it only took 20 min to get our to go order. The food was nice and fresh and everything was handmade.
Solid family food.
First time there. We ate in. We loved everything we got. Fresh ingredients. Super friendly staff. Food cans out fast. Rangoon, chicken dumplings, pad see ew, special of the night red curry chicken thighs, Basil rice made not spicy. And an ice tea sweetened with lychee 😁 We will be ordering on a regular.
Wonderful, fresh food. Vegan friendly. I order delivery frequently!
Delicious.
Great food, fast service, impeccable place. The crispy vegetarian rolls were the best I've ever had, the chicken satay was superb, the gyoza were different from ever I've had but very tasty. Pad Thai was wonderful, and Yai's salad was a refreshing accompaniment. A hidden gem in Norton, just off 495.
First time eating food from your restaurant and you missed your chance to gain a new customer.
Very inauthentic. I was expecting or at least hoping to enjoy some of my favorite Thai dishes but was shocked to see that much of the menu isn't even Thai! Gyoza from Japan, Nime Chow from Cambodian, and Spring Rolls from China. Very disappointing.
Amazing, really cant stress enough how good the food is. <3
This place is incredible and a much needed relief to an area oversaturated with mediocre pizza shops.
Great 👍👍
Holy smokes. Seriously the best. I'm so glad to have another great local Thai restaurant! The sauces... seasoning... overall ingredients make it great each & every time. I'm addicted to the 'drunken noodles'! They're perfection. 😍
The food is always a step above.
Just the best AUTHENTIC THAI FOOD I HAVE HAD IN YEARS AND CERTAINLY THE BEST IN MASSACHUSETTS. My husband and I work long strange hours and pop in for dinner here probably a bit too much 😂
The food is made to order with the freshest ingredients and high grade meats and the owners are lovely people as well ! Truly a brilliant find 🙏🙏🙏
This isn't just good Thai food for the area... this is world class Thai cuisine. Los Angeles has the largest Thai community in the United States, and not surprisingly it is considered by many to have the best Thai cuisine in this country. Yai's kitchen is at the same quality level as what I typically find at the best LA Thai eateries. I don't think I have ever found fresh (not dried) green peppercorns on the stem in any east coast Thai restaurant, but it was in my Pad Kee Mao noodles tonight. The pad Kra Pow is insanely good, try it but beware, if it says spicy its SPICY, with many layers of heat. I got the home made chili garlic oil but didnt need to crack that bottle, but trying that later it totally fixed up some inferior quality asian food. The flavors are explosive (but my typically sensitive stomach was not). The one negative is the portions are small. Its very hard for restaurants to navigate rising food and labor costs since coming out of the pandemic, so this is just something we will have to get used to if we want high quality food. Congrats Norton, you just got yourself a gem of a restaurant! The one downside
Tried the ‘pad kra pow’ and ‘masaman’ curry at Yai kitchen. Their ‘pad kra pow’ is very authentic which reminds me of the ones i had in Thailand. They used sliced pork which is another version of ‘pad kra pow’ instead of mjced pork. Both are equally good. The highlight for me is their ‘masaman’ curry. Tender beef with authentic Thai spices. I love it!
I dined in. A pleasant small eatery. The service was friendly and attentive. I ordered the massaman beef. It had an overly soft texture to the beef and could have been better.
Just tried Yai's after being disappointed by a different Thai restaurant in a neighboring town, and the second time was a charm! Yai's is miles ahead and leagues better, the best Thai I've ever had! We will surely be repeat customers. Our favorite thing about them is that they pack their takeout in paperboard containers, which is recyclable, instead of polypropylene plastic, which isn’t. Sustainable packaging and delicious food: it can't get any better than that! 😊
These reviews must be boosted by Wheaton students. I wanted to like it because close to home but sorry to say we were all very disappointed.
The owners are so kind and helpful and excited to chat. The small menu is perfectly simple and tastes exceptional.
The best Pad Thai I have ever had! Great quality fresh food and polite service. Easily best Thai spot around
Delicious pad kee mau (spicy drunken noodles) that was prepared vegan with tofu. Staff was savvy to what vegan meant without even having to explain it and were super friendly when they stayed open a few extra minutes after closing time for me to pick up! Will be coming back here again 🥰
Incredible Thai food. One of the best I have had in very long time. Very authentic and fresh food. Would highly recommend to anyone who loves great Thai food.
If you love Thai food, look no further! We've lived in Taunton for seven years now and have always complained about how there are no Thai restaurants in the area. Yesterday we were leaving the Norton Library and noticed that Yai's had recently opened across the street and were so excited to try them out and support a local small business. Tonight we ordered fresh rolls, vegetable gyoza, chicken satay, crab rangoon (made with fresh crab, not imitation!), shrimp pad Thai, and probably the most delicious version of the classic Thai coconut and mango sticky rice dessert that we've ever had. They make theirs with forbidden rice, which, if you've never tried it, is naturally a deep purple color and has a higher protein content than brown rice and a beautiful, fragrant flavor. Everything was absolutely delicious, so fresh, and so flavorful. Even my toddler, who is normally extremely picky at dinner time, loved everything he tried and was asking for seconds and thirds. I can't recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back!
I had no idea this restaurant was even there. We decided on Thai food one day and figured we would give Yai's a chance. We are so happy we did. The food was fantastic! We ordered for pickup. We ordered about 4 meals and 2 apps and we all shared. I was scratching my head because each item was great in its own way. I really could not pick a favorite. I will be happy to make this restaurant a regular occurrence.
My mother-in-law is from a small village in northern Thailand. The Pad Woon Sen and Yai's Fried Rice are epic. This is as real as it gets. If you don't try this food, you are doing yourself a serious disservice.
I like good Thai food, and this is outstanding. I find the fresh rolls a great start and pad see ew is a family favorite! The ingredients are always farm-fresh, and I've seen Chef Renu in the kitchen several times.
I can't wait to try the pad kra pow on our next visit... I'd attach pictures, but the food is always gone before I think about grabbing the camera. Yum!
My first visit, food was delicious including my sweet treat Mango Sticky rice! Service was pleasant and easy, will definitely go back. What a jewel.
The best place to eat in Norton. Massaman curry was made very well and their Thai Tea was great. Making this my go to eat out lunch spot!
Probably the best Thai I've had outside of Thailand, here in Norton? crazy!
Best thai food I have tried in the area.
Just tried Yai’s for the first time. Food was fantastic, and service was just as good! Can’t wait to try the whole menu!
Natural spring rolls and massaman curry dishes were really fresh and tasty.
