Mellow, low-lit venue with a relaxed feel offering high-end Asian fusion dishes & crafted cocktails.
I use to like their food very much. But last night it was so greasy. The chicken fried rice had so much grease it soaked totally through the paper bag. The rice was tasteless. The chicken fingers were very small chunks. For the price we payed for two people to eat was outrageous. It is definitely not the same as it used to be. We wonβt be eating here again.
The food here is really good. My wife loved it especially and Chinese food is her favorite type of food.
The only thing I would caution is to not go here on New Year's Eve. While it's understandably busy, the establishment didn't seem to make any operational changes to be able to handle the increase in orders. Other Asian restaurants we've dined at on NYE would do things like scheduled pickup windows, no online ordering, no dining in. Taos seemed to be operating as normal, which inevitably led to a line literally out the door to the parking lot.
Again, we fully it to be busy. However, we had even called earlier in the day to schedule an order, and we were specifically told to come around 7. If you have no way to abide by the pickup windows you give, why have pickup windows at all? π€
Long time customer, but won't return after the experience we had tonight. Ordered some takeout and braved the bad weather to get it. Got home and first bite my wife took she knew something was off about the chicken fingers. She asked me and my son to try it and all three of us immediately knew something was wrong. It smelled and tasted very sour, like rotten sour. My father happened to stop by and even he said the same thing. My wife called to let them know and the manager was extremely rude to her and acted like she was lying. We were told that if we wanted a refund we had to brave the storm again to bring the food back to them so they could investigate to determine if it was bad or not and justified a refund.
This place has been the go to Chinese food spot for my family for years, and for good reason. I ordered takeout again tonight and the food is top notch as always. I tried their sesame noodles for the first time tonight and theyβre delicious so I recommend trying those.
My favorite place for sushi and Chinese anywhere in western mass. Love sitting at the bar or a table. Always great service, treated great by the staff and the food is incredible. Very family friendly atmosphere. I recently got a tattoo of the Tuna Trio, my favorite item on the menu. If that doesnβt speak to how good it is, I donβt know what does!
Food wasnβt cooked the house fried rice tasted like day old. Mushy and gross. Boneless spare ribs were undercooked with no flavor.

Food and drinks are delicious. One of my favorite spots!

Good.
Best sushi in the Springfield area! Itβs a weekly go-to for our family

Pad Thai was odd compared to other places I've had it. Typically not a spicy dish but they make it hot. Asked for mild and it was, but not what I'm used to. Restaurant was so dark I had to use the light on my phone to see the menu.
Great customer service..food is okay..not bad..Just not the best I have had..Will keep going there occasionally..
Greedy owners taking advantage of the lack of competition. Their food is good, NOT GREAT.
Jack Chen is .2 stars below their quality and 1.2 above their value and customer service.
When I went in the first time I loved the food and experience. I got a pupu platter and it was great. I order to go and they served all the food in one paper bag everything was soggy and touching. So meaning the ribs wings chicken fingers shrimp all in one bag. I attempted to order again and asked them to not put everything in a bag together and they said that was to complicated! How??? You donβt serve the pupu platter touching when you dine in why do that for take out
Solid East Coast Asian food! This is a family-run restaurant. Everyone was kind and helpful. It was a tad dark inside, but outside of that, it was all good. And yes east coast Asian food is different, it's the bomb compared to other regions of the US!
Amazing food and great service!
Thank you so much. Great service & food! I was here July 5, 2024. I will definitely come back when I'm in the area, again. πππ»Thank you, Cindy!!!!
Good food and excellent service. All the staples and variety!
I enjoyed a late afternoon meal with a friend.
The food and drink were delicious.
I had hot sake for the first time in decades.
The service was wonderful.
There is a full bar and a menu with overwhelming choices.
Enjoy!
Good food, and great customer service! Spring rolls, hot and sour soup and their sushi selections are pretty great! Has plenty of parking, there's additional parking at the back of the lot.
Very nice the food was good get outside it was very pleasant
Been coming here a few times for the past 2 years. Service has always been wonderful, orders are always correct, prices are reasonable. Their food is excellent and they have such a great variety of items! Highly recommend stopping by.
Food is always very fresh π
Ordered online directly from their site, took money from account, said it couldnβt be verified, so I called the store to sort it out or see if it actually went through. Was constantly interrupted while trying to explain the situation only to be told that all I can do is wait for my money to be returned. Beyond irritated with the website and staff, will not be trying the food now.
Went here for the first time with my mom and regretted not coming sooner! The service was great and servers were very friendly! The food was high quality, delicious and very well priced! And the atmosphere was warm and inviting, there usually isnβt a lot of people and itβs pretty quiet and cozy! Highly recommend as I believe it is one of if not the best restaurant Iβve ever been to! (I had the house special fried rice and tuna maki hand roll)
Very good food, fast service
Food is great just wish the dinner special and we didn't have to buy things separately
I LOVE this place!! Good staff, Good food!! Good prices too
Used to be better before they sold it and before the pandemic. Shrinkflation and lesser unskilled cooks killed it for me. $25 for 12 oz of chicken fingers and a small pork fried rice with barely any pork, rice was flavorless and chicken overcooked with more batter than chicken.
I used to go here once a month the previous 15 years, but new owners are cutting corners.
I understand, it's difficult to turn a profit in restaurant industry, when I went I saw the bar was very busy, so....
Great Place!
Absolutely terrible customer service they charged me twice for a order , I had to go down to the store to have the situation rectified it was a complete nightmare too btw , my bank statement showed them charging me twice but they didn't want to believe it checked my account a few days later and boom the money was refunded due to their error went tonight to place a order and they don't want to serve me because they can't handle charging people's debit cards accordingly π€£ jokes on you bud you in business to serve I guess I'll bring my $50 order elsewhere LOL
Such a welcoming establishment
I have eaten here several times when visiting friends in the area. The food is good. The service is wonderful.
Our new favorite Chinese restaurant in EL.
Ordered take out the food was ok the chicken was very fatty and chewy (general Tsos). Not only was the food disappointing I checked the next day to see I was double charged. Thought it was odd they ran my card twice. When I went to them to get my money back they told me to put a claim in through the bank. Nightmare for half decent Chinese.
Chicken pad thai is AMAZING!!! Haven't been disappointed by Tao's yet. Prices are a bit higher than other restaurants but the flavor is better and servings are bigger. Their food definitely tastes less greasy and more healthy than nearby competitors, it's a noticeable difference. Definitely our favorite Chinese place in the area, highly recommended!!
Great place food is delicious π π and service is great!
I never went back after the manager a woman would not exchange or refund sushi that was incorrect.
Great food. Nice people run this place. Always have a good meal. Mostly go here for lunch. Lunch meals range 10 -15 dollar range.
Food was excellent. service was quick and efficient. Prices were reasonable.
Only have gotten take out. I drive a ways to get food here because it's more 'clean', less oil and salt taste. More flavor of veggies...
We brought our 10 month old granddaughter with us and the went out of their way for us and our granddaughter. It is can't miss place!!
Delicious will definitely be coming back
Very rude customer service better off going to bamboo house
Food is awesome and greatly priced
Excellent Salmon miso soup. Delicious ginger chicken with string beans. π
The food and price was awesome
Service was bad apps game one at a time separately and food was terrible
Food was very good. Started off with some rangoons, because you just have to. They're crispy, delicious, and fast to the table. Went for a spicy beef dish and it had some GOOD heat to it, did not disappoint.
Service was very fast and our waitress was a very sweet older lady. Water was refreshed multiple times and she was very attentive.
Prices are good, food is good, would go back in a heartbeat.
I am disappointed to say that we were very underwhelmed by our take out dinner on Saturday night. I give them credit for it being ready quickly, but that's pretty much the high point. It only took me less than 10 minutes to get home with the food, so that's not the problem. I'll go through the meal in detail.
First, I had wonton soup. The broth was pretty basic, not much flavor, and the wontons were overcooked. It wasn't horrible, but not very good. Then we had both egg rolls and boneless ribs. The egg roll wasn't crispy, and the filling was just ok. The duck sauce provided was pretty close to tasteless, very disappointing. No mustard was provided. The ribs were barely warm, kind of chewy and lacking in flavor.
My wife had the chicken Pad Thai which she said was also pretty tasteless. I had a piece of the chicken, which was well cooked, but didn't have much of a Pad Thai flavor. I had the house special Chow Fun. It was actually pretty good - the noodles were properly cooked and it had good flavor; it was the best dish in the meal.
I was really hoping to find a good place for Chinese takeout in Longmeadow; I guess we'll have to keep looking.
Chow mein was some kind of soup with no noodles. The soup itself was gelatinous. I am not sure if anyone could or should eat that much fat. Normally fat means flavor but it had absolutely no flavor profile other than salt. I should have looked at the reviews before I ordered this but I didnt. Having now written this I see many other people had the same baffling experience. $20 for dog @#$%.
Good food and friendly service. Probably best Asian Cuisine around.
I normally dont post comments but when you come off rude and condescending towards me, I will make time. The you male manager is VERY RUDE. He would not repeat his name , but he usually works the bar. How do you get upset at a customer because they complained about the food your establishment made. Ribs were burnt I would have chipped my tooth if I ate them.
OMG... The egg rolls shrunk. My crab / cucumber salad was maybe 1/2 cup in total. They have really REALLY changed their portions but still want the same prices or even increased in cost.
It was a pleasant experience.
My husband and I love going to Taos. Great food and drinks. They are such a friendly family.
Good food at a decent price point
Very slow service from start to finish, no music in the dining room, so all you hear is other tables conversation. Parking not the best as well.
food is excellent.. very authentic. service was excellent and atmosphere was great. one of my favorite spots
Chicken chow mein vegetables and chicken were good. The sauce was disgusting. All corn starch.
I gave a 4 due is American fusion food, don't take me bad, food is really good, but as a spicy lover will enjoy a little bit more traditional food for spicy, I'll recommend this place 100%
Extensive menu of the usual Chinese as well as Sushi and Tempura.
Very dependable quality food Bone in ribs can't be beat.
My best friend and I had lunch today at the bar with Jonathan as our server. He was so kind thoughtful thoroughly knowledgeable and a absolute pleasure
Tao's is a very friendly place with an awesome atmosphere and great food!
Very good, very happy. I do see some 1 start 2 star reviews but they are all based off of the time to get the food. Some things are just worth waiting for. Highly recommended!
Very friendly staff and very accurate with thr orders. Overall my first experience Asian cuisine in MA. Will come back when ever back up there.
Food is always delicious and fresh. The staff is always friendly and nice. I usually order take out and it never takes too long to be ready. When I order to dine in and the facility is always clean and not too busy (during lunch)
Food was delicious!!! We tried the miso soup, sushi, pupu platter, chicken with broccoli, chicken fried rice, and chicken lo mein. All dishes had great flavor!
Very friendly staff!
Waiter seemed angry the entire night! Food was reasonable but average.
Best gluten free Chinese food Iβve had! Iβve never gotten sick either and I have Celiac.
Love it here!! Food is nice and fresh. Love the sushi and stir fry. Their dishes are done with good quality sauces and not too heavy.
I got the house special soup and a spicy snapper roll for lunch. The soup was very bland. Good thing i had hoisen sauce at home to add to it. It didnt taste like much of anything and barely had anything in it. I had 2 little shrimp and one shredded piece of chicken that was floating around shredded Veggies. Couldn't even pick anything up with a spoon. First time here. Probably the last. Sushi was warm as well. I ate it. But would've been nice if it was cold
Outstanding food. Great service whether you have dine in or take out
Good food but why does Pachebel βCanon in Dβ play repeatedly over and over (the short version). It has been the only musical selection for years. Must be a management favorite.
First time visiting and we will definitely be back π
Great food! Will be making this a regular stop!
Food was ok. Nothing to write home about.
Food was good, service was good, place was clean. Win win win.
Got take out for 7 for New Yearβs Eve after not ordering for about 6 months. Got home and Taoβs has halved the portions of lo mein and rice so that 1 order serves 2 hungry people, or 3 kids maybe. Used to feed 6 easy. End result we didnβt have enough to feed everyone on a holiday. Not impressed with Taoβs taking the lead of every other company in America and taking advantage of trends during an economic downturn to cheat customers. Raise prices if you need to but letting people go home w half the portions they expect is really poor business.
ZERO STARS!!! DO NOT ORDER TAKE OUT!! You'll easily wait 25 minutes after scheduled pick up time. Even longer if you order delivery. They're main concern is dine in, then take pit, then delivery. You keep getting told "couple more minute". Leaving people standing around waiting like that is unacceptable. Your punishing the drovers and the customer. Your so greedy for money you don't care about how long you make people wait. If you can't handle the volume then don't accept delivery or take out. Or hire more family members, we all know you employee only family so you don't have to comply with labor laws!
Chicken pad tai is π₯π₯π₯π₯
OMG, what a bad meal. I ordered veggie tempura and it was awful! The batter was so thick and not cooked enough and had NO flavor! $18.95, so not worth it! I am not going back!
I like the typical Chinese restaurant dish "orange chicken." I decided to try Tao's "tangerine chicken" lunch. The flavor and portion was great. Chicken, soup, 2 cans soda, $14.50. If I'm ever back in East Longmeadow MA (hopefully never again) I'll definitely be hitting these guys up for lunch.
Service was fantastic! Very friendly staff. Food was delicious.
Hi quality Asian cuisine in a beautiful clean dining room, reasonably priced. They have been in business for 11 or 12 years now !
Great food.
The service was great and the sushi yum.
I wish I could give 10 ββββββββββ
We love it because the chef can do anything on the menu gluten free. Delicious asian food either way
They have really friendly staff, a comfortable atmosphere, and a great selection of sushi. I have been multiple times and am excited to try something new each time I go. They have a really great drink selection too, though I typically go with a pina coloda or a long island iced tea. I've also seen them used for parties. Also brought my girlfriend's service dog in-training along and they made sure to sit us in a quiet corner that would be comfortable for the puppy. Highly recommend.
Fresh food friendly service
Ok food. Steak was well done and also burnt when was asked to cooked as medium rare. Won't go again
Very tasty food. Great service. We will be back
We have lived in the area for about 3 years and have tried many Chinese restaurants. Taos consistently beats the competition in my opinion. The food is always very flavorful. They are also very nice people.
Excellent!
I have been getting food here for a long time. However the last two times I ordered their sushi/ raw fish it didnβt taste good at all. When I called to let them know I was basically told it must be me. I love sushi and their quality and taste has gone down hill. Not sure why. I will not be ordering their sushi any more. What a shame
Ate here and the food was fair, the 2 stars are for the fact that the waitress was nice to every table but ours, when we'd ask simple questions like if the soda was free refills we'd get a dirty look and snappish answer before we finished the question, not sure why. The last straw was when an automatic gratuity got added to the bill. Now I'm for gratuity charges if the party is over 6-8 people. There was 4 of us and we were going to tip 20%. The gratuity they added was about that. The law states restaurants that add gratuity charges have to let customers know beforehand and we weren't aware. Probably won't be going back thought that was very unprofessional
Good and tasty food π
Great food + quick service!
Greasiest Pad Thai Iβve ever eatin Pools of red grease ! Where would that even come from
Delivery was sub par. Food was warm.

Back in our old neighborhood for a couple of days so we decided to dine at Tao's which used to be one of our favorite places to eat. Unfortunately it has been sold and the wait staff was abysmal. There was a big language barrier with our server and that was a bit scary as one of us has Celiac Disease and needs to be sure his food is gluten free. This was NEVER a problem in the past under the previous owners but we sort of white-knuckled it and thankfully there was no cross contamination. So kudos for that. The food was as we remembered it which is pretty delicious. If not for the service delays, confusion, and language barrier I'd probably add another star.
Great ingredients. Very new and savory. Loved it
Very nice and relaxing place to go great y service
Unfortunately bland food. Gluten free options were the main draw but the Tso's chicken wasn't remotely hot and the rice was bland. The "spicy" regular Tso's wasn't spicy either. Best dish was the chicken Lo Mein...
Very fresh ingredients.
Take out was ok
I love this place!! Excellent sushi and hot dishes. We've gotten takeout there about 4 times and each time everyone has been extremely happy with their food. Will update if anything changes but so far so good!
Good service. Good food. Relaxed experience.
Good food
We love Tao's. We have a family dinner once a week (3 siblings, our parents and our kids) and we go to Tao's about once a month. This is the best Chinese food restaurant in the whole Springfield MA area. You won't be disappointed. β€οΈπ
Great food and great service!
The best!!
Unbelievable service, food and interior setting. Huge Menue with a variety of Asian and Japanese choices. Friendly waitress and Manager. Thank you and All the Best! Visiting from Boston. Gary L.
My favorite restaurant. Everyone treats me like family
Got to take out the other night, the food was fine but not what it used to be unfortunately
