I would have never thought a Thai gem in this area but the food is as authentic as it gets. The spices and fresh flavors are truly what makes Thai food great. Bangkok garden encompasses all that with a cozy family like interior. The service is great but could be a bit on the slower side for some, but it's worth the wait.
I’ve been unable to find a restaurant that’s Pad Thai compared to Bangkok Oriental’s since they were bought out. When my friends and I heard they were bought AGAIN and changed to Bangkok Garden, we were hopeful we might get our go-to Pad Thai place back - and it’s safe to say Bangkok Garden delivered! The inside atmosphere is so open and fresh and cool now and most importantly THE BEST PAD THAI IS BACK!!!!! I also got the spring rolls and Thai tea. Loved everything!
If you haven’t tried Bangkok Garden you have no idea what you’re missing! Delicious and authentic Thai food. It was soooo good and the decor inside was super cute. We will definitely be back!
Pictured here:
-Southern Roll: curried chicken, white onions, carrots, peas, and egg. Wrapped in a roti pancake and served with cucumber sauce.
- Pad Se Ew with beef.
- Pad Thai with crispy pork belly
-Singha beer which is manufactured in Thailand.
My wife and I wanted to try this place since the reviews were so good. The food was delicious. There was a nice size crowd of people arriving at the same time we ordered take out. Food is delicious and fresh. Portion size is perfect. The atmosphere inside looks as if they do Karaoke on certain nights. We will definitely be dining here again.
Bangkok Garden is absolutely AMAZING! Definitely a place to check out if you’re looking for authentic food and positive energy. The interior design is soo welcoming, and CLEAN. I had a great experience, and I plan to return.
Tell a friend to tell a friend !!!! You won’t regret it !!!!
Everything was wonderful. All the dishes taste very authentic like you are eating in Thailand. The service was great. The Thai guy and the lady were very nice. Excellent food and exceptional service. Thank you for having us today. We’ll be back even though it’s a long drive.
This place has a very great ambiance. It's a nice place to chill with friends they have a karaoke section. The food tasted really good Fish cakes and chicken zaap were the stars of their menu. Drunken noodles can taste better if they let them char the noodles for longer. I would definitely go back again and highly recommend this place. The service was friendly.
Great service..Great food!

Very good food and fast service would have given 5 stars but it was my first time here and I like to update my rating if the return visits are just as good 👍🏾. I will definitely come back again 😀
Good eats👍🏼
My wife is Thai and this is her favorite Thai restaurant. We come here at least 2 times a month in the winter for the beef hot pot. Warning it has tripe and kidney but the flavor is worth picking around the parts you don't want to eat. Or ask for just beef. Also moo yang por skewers are very tasty.
Very tasty food. It was a hearty meal. It is a hidden gem. The drunken noodles with the crispy chicken was really good.
Very nice Thai restaurant. Tom yum soup was great flavoring. Drunken noodles were seasoned well.
Pot stickers are great. I had the Massaman curry, first time I had avocado in my Massaman curry. It was good, just threw me off with the avocado. Husband got the fried pork belly bowl, he was happy with. We will be back.
Great food, and great service. The staff was nice, and the atmosphere is great also.
First time here, I will be back. I got the Panang Curry with Chicken. The flavor was good, there wasn’t a spice level to pick online but I would say it was medium or a level 2 at some places. It came with rice. My only complaint was there were hardly any vegetables, literally 3 strips of bell pepper… I ended up cooking some to add. Maybe its not as common as I thought? But I want to try other things here, I’m looking forward to it!

One of the better Pad Thai's around. Kind of pricey for the portion sizes.

too many flies,dirty
Spicy Drunken Fried rice is so dang delicious, a combination of sweet basil and savory flavors!
Visited for the first time a few days ago and the food and customer service was great. My boyfriend asked for a meal that was not on the menu and it was made with ease. I will certainly be back and this is now our fave thai restaurant!
Excellent food 😋 Mmmmmm yes we will definitely visit this restaurant again when we visit our daughter at Meade.
Best Thai place I've been to in this area! Looking forward to coming back.
It is american spicy. You can request to increase the spice, but was honestly disappointed that it was not the usual Thai spicy.
I highly recommend the Drunken Noodle (beef)
Food was very bland and portions were super small.
Amazing food and service is always friendly and attentive! Probably one of the most authentic tasting thai food restaurants I've had in the states!
When I tell u fire ! Straight UP FIRE !! It’s nothing more I can say lol . People are amazing and sweet . It feels just like home 💕🫶🏽🫶🏽💕 .
Ps . I love you guys ! Thank u so much !
Delicious authentic Thai food, friendly folks, great atmosphere. And cold Thai beer!
Hidden gem of authentic Thai.
Service was magical and food was aroy mak mak!!! Kup khun kap
Takout, pad thia thia was dry, 3 pcs of chicken, no penuts, no lime. Sticky noodles... bye
Been here many times and always have a great meal. Excellent for takeout or dine in and the service is very good!
Great food and amazing service. Will be back soon.
Absolutely delicious Thai food. My wife and I eat here what feels like weekly. We both enjoy the Pad See Ew and Pad Thai strongly recommended it to anyone. Also, their customer service is always so kind and prompt, Nora recognizes us as soon as we call or come in and treats us so kindly.
Incredible! Food, friendliness of staff, fun decor. If you enjoy asian food, order from here.
Ordered carry out, this is our 3rd time. Pad Thai. Flavor is amazing but they don’t put enough chicken in the dish. Shouldn’t have to order “extra chicken”.
I travel everywhere in the US and Thai food is my cuisine of choice. Have had some good food but this was hands down the best I have had. If you love real, authentic Thai food then this is a must. Felt like an early Birthday treat.
Good food and good selection, but a little pricey. Probably the best Thai restaurant in the GB/Pasadena area.
So happy we found this Thai restaurant. The chef's are from Thailand and the food is authentic. Great cold teas.
Staff was super friendly and patient. Our server was so kind and knowledgeable about the menu. Very clean and great atmosphere. Prices are extremely reasonable. We will be going back. A must try!
Amazing restaurant, went with Thai friends who agreed it was very authentic. Though its location is slightly random, the restaurant itself has great service, colorful and fun decor, delicious food. Incredibly reasonable prices: we ordered one appetizer, two entrees, two drinks, plus dessert for about $65. Highly recommended.
This place is amazing. The food was fantastic and the service was just as superb. Everything we ordered did not disappoint. Highly recomnend, will return.

Food is delicious and fresh. Portion size is perfect. The atmosphere inside looks as if they do Karaoke on certain nights. We will definitely be dining here again.
Dined in and the food was delicious. Everything was so so good! Not to mention the staff was kind, tentative and fast. The vibes are also cozy too. I think I just found my new favorite Thai place :)
Great food
Delicious food, fantastic service, and prices that dont hurt my pocket
Some of the best Thai food in the Baltimore DC area. Hidden gem. Location was unexpected and went on a whim. Great boat noodles and Pa see yew. Tom kah was well fried and tasty. Coconut custard sticky rice dessert was good too. Very filling so good for sharing.
Lots of other dishes I wanted to try. Will have to make the trip back.
Amazing “fresh” food! Great service and very, very nice folks working here!!!
Highly recommend to this place ! The food is amazing
We happened to be in the area and lucked out with this choice.
We shared several menu items and everything was fresh, perfectly prepared and tasty. Service was excellent and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. Though a bit of a drive for us, we will definitely be back.
Hands down best Best Thai restaurant in the area. Very authentic.
Had a large group service was great
Food was just ok
Absolutely excellent experience. I ordered the chicken zaap (with fried tofu instead) and my husband ordered pad sa tor. Everything was very flavorful, fresh, and nicely spicy. The interior was clean and nice to look at. Service was friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back here!
If you like Thai food then you absolutely should try this place. I don’t think I could pick a favorite or a least favorite between the Thai green iced tea, curry puff appetizer, boat noodles, or mango sticky rice. Not all Thai restaurants I’ve been to have boat noodles, so I was really happy to see that on the menu here. Savory, just a little bit sweet, and spicy but a heat that doesn’t last. Our waitresses were both nice and attentive, and our food came out fairly quickly though we never felt rushed. Reasonable prices and good food!
I've tried to come to this location twice and twice were they closed. Not sure if they're encountering staffing issues but this is a bit irritating as a customer. First time I tried to go on a Monday afternoon and they were closed but at least they had a sign apologizing for the inconvenience.
One week later I tried going again on Saturday afternoon and based on google, they were open. However, I arrived disappointed again because they were closed, again, only this time there was no sign indicating they were closing. Their interior door wasn't locked and they even had letters scattered around their front door. Not sure what happened but this gives bad vibes to a business. I'm not even sure I want to try going a third time...
We ordered "Nam Khao Tod" for appetizer, "Goong Chae Nam Pla" and "Krapow Kai Dow", all three were great with first two beyond great! We drove ONE HOUR just to try it and it didn't let us down. Service was great too! Absolutely Recommend it!
Absolutely an amazing find! Cute place with eclectic decor. The food was so authentic and fresh. We had the papaya salad-- crisp, spicy, a little sweet a little acidic and just so refreshing. To start we also had the chicken coconut soup which was creamy, spicy and delicious! For dinner we tried the pad thai which was full of chicken and flavor with just the perfect amount of sauce. The maussuman curry was super interesting and unique in flavor--- so many flavors made it a great choice. Loved the avocado in it.
They even had a spice tray so you could make things as spicy as you need. Must try when craving thai in Pasadena.
The Food, Service, and the Atmosphere here are amazing!
I have tried multiple dishes from here and every single one has been AMAZING!!!!!!! the staff is SUPER Friendly! If you have not dined here, you NEED TO!!!!!!! Go Now, like, right now, why are you still reading this? go now!!!!!
Awesome little gem of a spot , great food, excellent service and nice ambiance. Definitely recommend!!
They got the best pad sew ew and mango sticky rice in town! I recommend
My favorite and authentic Thai restaurant in the DMV area, Bangkok Garden, has reopened in Pasadena. It used to be in Columbia and Bethesda for many years. The sweet sticky rice with mango is leveled, if not surpasses, the famous sweet sticky Kor Panij ก.พานิช in Bangkok. Mussel pancake or Hoy Tod is crispy and flavorful. The rest of the dishes is as delicious as it used to be.
The service is friendly and timely. ❤️❤️❤️
ส้มตำปูปลาร้าอร่อย ลองข้าวผัดสับปะรดนะคะอร่อยมาก อย่าลืมช้าเย็นด้วยนะ หายคิดถึงไทยเลย
I really enjoyed my experience at this restaurant, very authentic Thai Cuisine.
Horrible! There was one server for the entire restaurant on a Friday night. It took 15 minutes to get waited on and almost an hour for our meal - even the appetizers! The spring rolls were not spring rolls - they were mini vegetable rolls that were originally frozen before fried and served with duck sauce. Our entrees both contained chicken. The chicken was old and overcooked. The noodles in the Pad Thai had been sitting and were stuck together. The Pad Thai was otherwise flavorful. The rice in the Drunken Rice Basil Chicken was dry - a little odd considering that it was drunken. The basil was black. The ingredients in this dish had obviously been made earlier and then combined for the entree. We were warned that the dish was spicy; sadly, the only flavor was pepper. This was not the authentic Thai cuisine we thought we’d experience.
Wow, what a find! I'm not sure I've had a more flavorful meal anywhere! When they say it's spicy, take their word for it. Unique menu, with delicious homemade Thai meals that delight the palate in an adorable setting. Definitely coming back! Support small businesses like this. 👍
Delicious food and great services. And a happy atmosphere
This place has absolutely no business being as good as it is. Hands down, the best restaurant in Pasadena. Come here for authentic food, a relaxed vibe, and excellent service.
I have been here 5+ times and I can’t stop. Don’t skip the appetizers. If you don’t like fish sauce, ask the service for some recommendations. And if you want to venture out of your comfort zone, check out the “secret menu”.
Amazing food!
Very authentic Thai food. Good price, great food, and good quality. Will return again.
If you looking for real Thai authentic food. I highly recommend this place. Bangkok garden is the new management restaurant. I'm a fan of Bangkok garden since they open at Bethesda (for almost 40 years as I know).
This place gives you very tasty food and the taste is real Thai.
I love this restaurant. So glad we have a good local restaurant that has such good service! They make an effort to get to know their patrons and are extremely flexible with any allergies you may have.
I don't consume oyster sauce or fish sauce and they are able to accommodate that request in several dishes.
Great vegetarian options overall with a nice spice rack to choose from when dining in!
An all around great Thai place.
Great authentic Thai food. Every dish better than the last. Don't miss the larb and green papya salad and drunken noodles. Exceptional mango and sticky rice as well.
This place is a true hidden gem! My wife and I went here on a Thursday for a quick date night. We ordered based off of the recommendations from the wait staff. The food, service and decor were amazing. If you’re in the mood for Thai, or you like to try out of the box cuisine I would recommend this restaurant in a heartbeat.
Ordered for three food was good, hot, an tasty, service was quick an correct. Will be back
My wife is from Thailand and she loved the food. Everyone thought it was fantastic and very authentic Thai. The service was wonderful. Amazing place all around.
Drunken Rice was awesome.
Delicious food and super fun vibe + decor. Wonderful staff and service.
Best Thai food ever and awesome service!
I haven't had the pleasure of dining in here yet, but the multiple times I've carried out since moving into the area have been great! The food is very fresh and authentic (I'm assuming, as I have never been to Thailand!). I look forward to sampling more of their exotic menu.
This place checks all the boxes. Friendly people serving delicious food in a welcoming space.
This place is a hidden gem. Finally decided to give it a try. Atmosphere was cozy. Service was excellent. And the food... Tom yum soup was so good, it was gone before I had time to take a pic. Spring rolls are delicious. Pad se ew looked heavy at first but it was not. Had a nice hint of grill and the sweet rice noodles with the sauce was addictive. The Khao mun gai was as tasty as it looked when presented.
We will definitely be going back to try different items.
Wonderful food and great service!
This restaurant serves authentic Thai street food. All dishes taste like I am in Thailand. We had Tom Yum noodle soup, Crispy Pork Belly Rice Bowl, Chicken Zaap Som Tum, BKG Beef, Yenta4, and Thai Jasmine Green Tea with Herbal Jelly. This place is clean and the servers are wonderful. The prices are good and the portions are great. I highly recommend this restaurant.
My husband and I were excited to try this restaurant and we were not disappointed! We went for a late lunch. The service was impeccable and the food was phenomenal! We had the Southern Roll and Chive Dumplings as appetizers followed by Chicken PadThai and Pinapple Fried Rice as our main dish. Everything was delicious and we had plenty to take home.
Good food, good takeout, really clean, and friendly employees.
This is a hidden jewel. I have had Thai food in the past, but Bangkok Gardens is the total experience from the minute you walk through the door. I have ordered from the Secret Menu and the traditional side; every entree is deliciously crafted. The sticky rice with mangoes is the right balance of citrus and sweetness. But, you must order an iced Thai tea and any of the curries to say you had the full experience.
Amazing food and fantastic service. WOW. A new favorite. We are enjoying our 2nd visit in two days!
The service here was perfect. Our server was very considerate, aware, and kind. The food was also superb and authentic. The beef hot pot was quite spicy, which surprised me in a good way.
If I could give this place six stars, I would. We ordered crab dumplings, beef hot pot, green curry with crispy chicken and mango with sticky rice. Everything was so delicious. On top of that, the server was so attentive! Would definitely come back.
This is the first time we’ve been to Bangkok Garden under its new ownership.
We enjoyed the atmosphere and the people were very friendly.
The food was delicious!
We are excited that this restaurant is so close and authentic as we are adopting a little girl from Thailand and will be wonderful to have a place like this so close to home.
Everything was wonderful. All the dishes taste very authentic like you are eating in Thailand. The service was great. The Thai guy and the lady were very nice. Excellent food and exceptional service. Thank you for having us today. We’ll be back even though it’s a long drive.
I love their pineapple fried rice with chicken
One of the best restaurants in the area and easily the most delicious Thai food. Everything is so good. I LOVE spicy food and when I order it Thai spicy it is actually SPICY. I cannot say the same for other places. The ambiance is adorable and the everyone here is super nice. The chef is amazing. My favorite is the drunken fried rice but everything I have tried I like. Definitely get a Thai iced tea to round out the meal and you will be happy. Highly recommend you check this place out, if you like Thai food, you will love Bangkok Garden.
Delicious! I am super impressed - taste like I’m at Bangkok.
Love their authentic Thai dishes! I have tried their beef hot pot, crispy pork belly rice, and crispy chicken rice. All of them burst with wonderful aroma and flavorful tastes. Portion sizes are generous. Can't wait to try more of their dishes!!
Excellent service and authentic food! My wife had the Thai Fried Rice and I had Chicken Pad Thai. Phenomenal! Friendly staff and attentive.
Very friendly service, and my husband said they have the best papaya salad he has found in the area.
I'm glad this place re-opened. I've tried lots of other Thai places in Anne Arundel and none of their curries are as good as Bangkok's.
Excellent authentic Thai food! Very reasonable prices, beautiful restaurant, great staff. There is literally nothing to dislike about this place. The pork Larb was amazing!
I am Thai and live in Annapolis area! This place is amazing! The flavor and food are real Thai!
Previously Bangkok Oriental. Then purchased by new owners. Those owners sold and now under new management.
The place has been redecorated and is light, airy and inviting. More like a cafe. A small area for live mysic, light-colored wood. The seperating wall has been cut down to a half-wall. A very comfortable atmosphere. Friendly staff.
I had the chicken zaap, which was quite tasty. Fried chicken cut into strips and tossed with the fish sauce, lime and ground rice that is usually on larb. I really enjoyed it. My husband had the drunken noodles with tofu. It was colirful and flavorful. The noodles were the wide noodles. It had colorful bell peppers, tomato and thai basil.
We would definitely go back and happily order both dishes again.
The menu has some uncommon dishes on it such as nam khao tod-crispy rice with the lime juice dressing and ba mee hang pu which is egg noodles with crabmeat and crispy pork or crispy chicken and a handful of other thai dishes I haven't seen at any other restaurant in the area. Check out the Secret Thai menu. Prices are reasonable.
Reminds me of my mom's cooking. Hits the spot when I'm missing a home cooked meal from her.
I ordered take out two times. One using online order. Both times were ready on time. Reasonably priced and good amount of food. I ordered the crispy pork belly rice bowl and chicken lad na. The food was delicious and spiced nicely.
This place is great! The staff is really nice and the food is great!
We got the pad see ew, pad Thai and drunken noodles and they were all really good and came out super fast. We brought two young kids and didn't feel out of place and they were able to recommend good meals for them
Steamed dumplings, pad Thai, and pineapple fried rice were terrific.
Probably one of the best Thai places I’ve been too. Definitely a hidden gem.
Best Thai food ever!!
Authentic, tasty and scrumptious!!
Their boat noodle and pork skewers are the bombs.
Totally recommend this place when you are craving authentic Thai flavors
Amazing food, atmosphere and a great hidden gem!
New family running the restaurant and every family has their unique recipes and take on each dish. The food is still amazing, just with a new chefs talents. Trying authentic home cooked Thai food, which is what this is. It's like trying and experiencing a little bit of someone's specific history and expertise. I absolutely love their fried pork belly over rice, done absolutely perfectly and their Lab Na. Highly recommend trying as many family restaurants as possible in general but especially this one! No one ever makes the "same" dish the same way so it will always be a unique and enlighting experience.
food is amazing and authentic, service was friendly, even got some dishes on the house. Good dinner experience
Me and my girlfriend had a full course meal talking apps, main and dessert and it was some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had, it was fast and the place is so clean, everyone was so friendly and attentive to everything we needed. For our main course the veggies were some of the freshest I’ve had at a restaurant in general truly a hidden gem
We could only get pictures of the dessert because we dug in to fast 😂
Fantastic food and fantastic service. Will be coming back again.
Today was my first visit to this restaurant, after hearing some reviews that were excellent my friend and I decided to go and try it out. We had the best food, started with appetizers, fried dumplings, spring rolls, drunken chicken wings, all were absolutely delicious. We ordered entrées, All were delicious and very authentic, we had plenty to take leftovers home. The service was excellent, everyone very friendly and helpful. Please give this new restaurant a try if you like Thai food you won’t be disappointed. Will be going back again soon.
Really good especially their papaya salad!
Lovely place with eye catching decor. The Thai tea with jelly was so good and loved the sauce in the papaya salad. The drunken noodle was on the blander side with few pieces of meat.
Still looking forward to trying other food items on the menu!
They have made great changes inside the restaurant. I always get chicken Ka pow and it has always been awesome, but they have changed that as well and it is even better. Awesome food, great people!
Very good and close to home. Don't drive past this people. So adorable too.
Best and most authentic Thai food in the area! Has many lesser-known (and delicious) hidden gems you can order.
