We are a family business in Olney community for over 15 years. We are serving authentic Thai food from our family recipes.
Fantastic dining experience! Came to try this place with a group of friends and we were all very pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere was quaint and warm with tasteful decor. The layout was great for socializing, not too loud and lights that were just bright enough. The food was fantastic, we got both pad see ew and pad Thai and both were enjoyed by everyone. The jasmine tea was also refreshing and tasty. Would certainly recommend this to anyone looking for good Thai food in the Olney area, I will certainly revisit to try more menu items!
My family and I have been dining in and placing pick-up orders for years, and I can honestly say the service for us has dramatically declined. The food is great, but it seems like ever since we started bringing in our own bottled spring water to drink (which they don't sell), the two female servers who are normally there have become very cold and unwelcoming to us.
We don't drink tap water from any other restaurant, so why would we drink it at yours?! If you don't want people bringing in outside drinks, then offer a better selection of drinks.

During our most recent visit, both servers managed to successfully ignore us our entire stay while constantly checking on all the other guests. Then, when we decided to leave, the server placed carry-out boxes on our table instead of offering to package the food like they did for every other guest who was leaving.
We've always spoken very highly of this restaurant over the years, but not anymore. Not after managing to ruin our dining experience once again. We'll be sure to share our negative experiences with as many people in the community as possible. Thanks!
This Thai restaurant is fantastic! The service is great, and the food is both well-priced and delicious. We've been dining here monthly for nearly a decade and it's always wonderful!
It looked like there was MEAT in my VEGGIE Paad Thai (sweet Thai noodles), but I believe now it was actually tofu.
See my photo of 2 spoonfuls in a bpwl. The red and pink/tan stuff is what I initially thought was meat.
The TASTE and consistency of the noodles was great, and the somewhat meager quantity of vegetables was cooked nicely and tasted great.
It would have been nice if they had told me "we use tofu as a meat substitute."
* Vegetarians might be advised to consider a different Thai restaurant.
A Staple for Thai Cravings! π½
Thai Cuisine has nestled itself comfortably as a staple in our community, bringing flavors that delight with every visit. While the Pad Thai presented a dance of savory and sweet notes π, and my husband found joy in the spicy Tofu Curry πΆπ, I must admit the rice portion left us desiring more, being notably petite at approximately 1 cup π. However, my Thai tea was a sweet, creamy dream in a glass π₯€. All in all, when the cravings for Thai food beckon, this spot proves to be a worthy contender to satiate those culinary desires.

Yesss, finally in their new spot! We ordered delivery from Thai Cuisine for years and always had great food. Their old spot on Georgia only had a few tables and wasn't the most convenient for parking, so we couldn't wait for them to move.
The new place is spacious and bright and has a large bar in the back. Lots of parking and there is still a takeout counter on the right when you come in for easy pick up.
The food was delicious as usual. This time we had the spring rolls, the pork kapow country and the green curry with vegetables plus extra eggplant. All perfectly prepared and seasoned.
Their menu did not change, which was good because we like everything on it. I hope they add specials as we're always interested in trying new dishes.
We'll be back soon.
We've eaten at a lot of Thai restaurants, but this was the worst experience we've ever had any kind of establishment. Soup was great, the stay chicken was dry and flavorless. The two ladies ordered the catfish entree and both were sent back as it was little nuggets of greasy breading but little or no fish could be found within. Their steak dish also chewy overcooked no flavor and the dipping sauce was a little more than salty water. Service was terrible and the meals were brought haphazardly instead of being served together. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone... We ended up going to the Chick-fil-A across the street to get ladies something to eat.
My go to when I'm in Olney, MD. The Drunken Noodles is my favorite

Always consistent and delicious!
Really great pad thai and itβs gluten free. Some of the best thai in the entire Columbia/Olney/EC area.
This Thai restaurant is fantastic! The service is great, and the food is both well-priced and delicious. We've been dining here monthly for nearly a decade and it's always wonderful!

Nice atmosphere and quick service. The pad prikh kingh with tofu I had was tasty and the veggie gyoza was good as well, but deep fried and not pan fried. The lunch portion was a bit smallish, but yummy and served with white rice. I will definitely return for another visit!
First time eating here. Ordered to go and food was ready when promised and packed well. We really enjoyed everything we ordered. Vegetable pad Thai, green curry chicken, eggplant, chicken satay, green papaya salad, beef drunken noodles. All really really yummy! Will definitely be ordering again.
This restaurant is a notch above some of the other Thai restaurants in the area. I've been here several times and the food and service never disappoint. The standard Thai dishes are very good here, they offer a good selection of vegetarian choices, and some of the options aren't found at other Thai restaurants.

We had an outstanding lunch experience here in December 2023 but markedly less so in June 2024.
Well, seems we caught them on an off-day and/or things have changed. Our lunch specials were cold, poorly plated and lacking in taste, markedly so compared to our last experience here.
Given how outstanding our experience was in December 2023, we'll try Thai Cuisine again. But not soon. There are too many interesting competitors in the immediate Olney area to rush back in.
Bankerβs hours but Iβll let that slide due to their excellent food, great service, nice atmosphere and (surprisingly these days) reasonable prices. Well done.
Thai cuisine of Olney is renowned for its authentic Thai cuisine, standing out as a premier choice in the DMV area. However, the limited service hours, including closure on Mondays and the kitchen closing at 7:45 PM every day, detract from its appeal.
Excellent take-out experience. Everything was delicious.
The spicy duck has become one of my all-time favorite meals. It's excellent. I'm sure their other food is good too, but I'm not willing to part with the duck, so I wouldn't know :).
Also, the service is great. Always polite and efficient.
I love this place and the food is amazing. One of the friendliest staff with good service.
Always great service. Always yummy food. Every time we come Thai Cuisine never disappoints. We've been coming here for years now and this is our families favorite in Olney.
Best Panang Curry!!!!
Great staff, great service, fantastic food. They're always good with my allergen needs also. Love this place!
The food was very tasty and fresh.
I would like to eat in next time I go.
We had a catering event scheduled for last week. The staff was very helpful in helping me plan the menu. It was ready on time and so yummy! The drunken noodles were a fan favorite and the mango sticky rice was a big hit!! Lots of flavor and class!!!
This is a solid Thai place. Food is tasty, atmosphere is pleasant and service is great! I highly recommend this place.
I was pleasantly surprised by how good this thai food was!
They mark their menu with gluten-free symbols, which was greatly appreciated!
the food here is consistently good. my favorites are the panang curry chicken with extra veggies and the mango sticky rice.
The food is SUPER GOOD! We normally get take out which is always tasty but dining in is such a treat, the food's even better fresh and good size portions. Appetizers are excellent. We try a new dish once in a while and are never disappointed. The staff are very friendly and attentive.
I really enjoy their food!
The problem is, I can't get it because they don't do doordash or uber eats. Their own delivery is just a 3mile radius. So it's hard to get if you can't pick up, or live out of their radius. I think this is really bad for their buisness!
They really should reconsider getting them or grubhub one of the delivery services. All of these people are missing out!
This is my most favorite Thai restaurant in the entire DMV. I love it. Food is delicious.
Food is delicious. Great service.
Delicious food, friendly and pleasant atmosphere!
Food is always good!!
1. The food is very very good! I particularly love the spicy catfish and I like trying a new app every time I eat here. 2. The service is phenomenal. I ordered online once and went to pick it up but had to run an emergency errand. I went in and told them Iβd be back for the food. When I got back the food had been kept warm for me. 3. Itβs a fun laid back restaurant that feels like you could eat a quick lunch or sit down for a nice dinner.
Average decrease but great Thai food, clean nice portions. Enjoy
the best thai food in the dmv, love everything about it :)
Been coming here for years! Love this place!
Best Thai food Iβve ever had! Highly highly recommended!
Iβve been coming to this spot for years! This place is by far the best Thai spot in the area. 10/10

Great food
Amazing food!
Great restaurant! Food is testy and portion is big enough for a family. Clean environment and nice service.
Their foods good and all, but donβt try and call them to place an order. I called, the person said please hold, then hung up. I called a second time, after finally getting lucky because the line was busy. Iβve been on hold for over 15 minutesβ¦ at no point did anyone say βdonβt worry, I know youβre there, weβre busy at the momentβ which honestly wouldβve made it ok. It shouldnβt be this hard to place a carry out order
Delicious food, always hot and ready as promised.
Great curry!
Always on point Will be spicy when you ask for it. Lots of ways to customize your dish with chicken, beef, shrimp, tofu and your level of spicy.
Dumplings, drunken noodles, pad ka prow, cashew chicken, Thai cuisine spicy beef are delicious. Super consistent quality and service.
The food is very authentic. Nice place to go for dinner.
Dishes from the Olney Thai restaurant are amazing. I always get the pad Thai and panang curry. This is my go to carry out spot and definitely will reccomend this spot to anyone in the area!
Had my birthday party here. Amazing service and food!
Love this place
Fantastic food and great Tea! Always so welcoming and kind. Great people :) I am a frequent flyer
amazing food!
My family has frequented Thai Cuisine I daresay more than anyone. The restaurant hours say they close at 8pm. We came before 8pm for ice cream and the snarky server would not seat me and my two children even though there were clients that clearly had just started appetizers. I asked what time do I need to be here to be seated, she said 7:45pm. So, we came at 7:45pm and the same snarky server said, sorry, you have to come before, at 7:44pm. I am super disappointed. She even admitted that she knew we came there a lot, to which I said so you just lost a really good client. She said eh sorry! shrugging her shoulders while turning away to go about her business. Why should I be surprised, their table side manner isn't stellar either.
Love the food. Always great. Great staff too. Delicious Drunken Noodles - My favorite!
I love Thai Cuisine !! This location in Olney is the best and I love everything from the food to the service to the atmosphere. A million stars from me.
I liked the really fresh vegetables in the dishes. Everything else was great too.
Love this place!
Been my familyβs go to takeout spot for years!! (When they were a small carry out place around the corner of their current location!). Great service and food! Definitely would recommend to everyone!
Wonderful service
Nice atmosphere & staff, food is great
10/10 food and service.
Great food!
Always good fresh food and wonderful service.
Very nice interior with a welcoming environment and friendly workers.
I really enjoy eatting the food here . Love the pad thai noodles.
Delicious food. We had a variety of dishes, including vegetarian and meat, curry, rice, and noodles. The only complaint from one of our party was why donβt we have vegetables? Well, we didnβt order any vegetable dishes. We will next time.
The food here is delicious and the staff are friendly.
Good customer service and the food was good.
Excellent service, great food!
Favorite Thai restaurant in the DC area. The food is always delicious.
This is my second visit to Thai Cuisine and theyβre food is delicious and quick pick-up. Love having this gem by work!
Good food. Always consistent
Our very favorite take out option for many many years. Love this place!
So good! When they mean spicy itβs actually spicy! Get the green curry asap!!!
The food here never disappoints. Lots of great options. Closes early so plan ahead.
IMO, best value in Olney. The Thai food tastes authentic and fresh. Come here a couple of times per month and never been disappointed
Update Jan 2023 - the restaurant has increased prices several times in past few months. While the food is delicious, its becoming almost unaffordable to eat here regularly. $18 for a shrimp Pad Puk? I can get a similar shrimp dish at Hunan Delight for $11. I hope Thai Cuisine Olney can control their prices bc I am eating there less frequently and I suspect others too.
Food was delicious. Great low-carb options. Will def come back!
Best Thai food in Montgomery county! Every menu item weβve had- at least a dozen- is delicious! Faves- pad king, pad thai, curry puffs and thai tea
Love they shrimp salad (medium) with extra dressing! And side rice
Chicken pad Thai, no onions, bean sprouts on the side.
2 Thai ice tea.
Thatβs our order, try it
I've gotten carryout from here several times and the food has always been great! I usually get the red curry with pork and the pad thai with shrimp. Very good!
Good tastie food and reasonable prices.
An amazing restaurant! I think the first time I really enjoyed the way a Thai restaurant prepared Pad See Ewe. Their noodles were full of flavor but not salty. A lot of restaurants I have went to itβs way too salty. The texture of the noodles was perfect, not too firm or too soft. I was pleasantly surprised when they offered a chicken Lemon grass soup instead of miso. I enjoy miso but it was refreshing to have another soup option and it was also amazing π! They also have lunch specials which is always a win win β€οΈ. The vibe is calm, low key and the music they play is very calming. Loved the music selection. The restaurant also has enough light without it blaring in your face which gives it a cozy vibe. The waiter was very attentive and kind. I live 15 minutes away but itβs worth the drive for the quality of food and service.
The only complaint it that the fried rice wasnt very good. It was more like sticky rice than fried chicken rice and everything kind of mushed together. I might try it again in restaurant and maybe not to go. Very happy I have found this place and I highly recommend.
Very salty fried rice.
Top tier Thai I have had in Maryland. The Pad Thai was on point. Atmosphere was classy and casual, perfect for a low-key date night. We will be returning very soon.
Excellent atmosphere and great food! I have celiac and there were several safe options.
Very good
First time trying service was fast, food was delicious and staff were welcoming.
This is the best Thai in the area. Highly recommend the spicy beef with green beans.
My top restaurant choice in my area. You can see more customization options ordering online.
I am pro, Shanghai! I have been going to this restaurant for so many years. I have never had any issues. The food is always good and generous portions. The owners have always been very nice. Even the delivery driver is friendly! Lol I would definitely recommend the place!
Great experience
Made the trip over from Ellicott City and it was well worth it! Got the crispy chicken, Pad Thai, Pad See Ew and Mixed Veggies. All dishes were some of the best Thai weβve had. Service was friendly and fast. We will definitely be back.
Iβm in love with this place and the folks that run it they are super nice and the food is fantastic. Yesterday I got the Duck and it was the best Iβve had in so long. The menu has some interesting items you just canβt find anywhere else.
As waiting for my carry out order I could not resist having the coconut ice cream. It was so sublime. Not overwhelmed by sugar, it was more natural.
Came here for lunch & it was amazing, very nice atmosphere, all the workers are super kind, the food was great quality & tasted so good, 10/10.
Excellent food! Clean restaurant and nice vibe . Will come again!
Had a lovely Chicken pad thai dish for lunch, absolutely enjoyed every bite!
The drunken noodles, pad Thai, and Thai curry are our go-to items! But every menu item that we have ever ordered is fantastic.
The timing of their takeout orders is always right on point as well!
Great pad puk (loaded with veggies) and other Thai dish as were well put together!
Excellent food. My take out order came out hot and right on time. Definitely make sure to order ahead for take out. The restaurant itself looks quite nice.
Good food, friendly and helpful staff.
Amazing Food :)
Great authentic Thai food. Limited hours
Love their food. Definitely recommend this place for thai food.
Great restaurant, we arrived for a late lunch, and found it spacious (not crowded) and featuring a special lunch menu.
The restaurant followed in covid 19 guidelines, and also had a separate group of tables for takeout.
There was ample parking and the restaurant had clear signage from the street. Handicap parking was also available.
The lemongrass soup was spicy but delicious, and the entrees were good size portions with rice and cooked to order!
Nicely done!
Delicious food, excellent service! We love Thai Cuisine.
There are no complaints. The flavors and freshness are some of the best we've ever had. They are careful with the ubiquitous and powerful Fish Sauce and it shows in a good way. They are polite, knowledable and patient when taking an order which seems rare these days.
Pad See ew was amazing and cooked to perfection!
Iβm not exaggerating when I say that this is my favorite restaurant. Iβve been a regular customer for almost a decade. Prior to COVID, I came to Thai Cuisine every week. Now I get carry-out regularly. The staff have become known to me and they are so welcoming, sweet, and helpful. But the main attraction is the food β specifically the drunken noodles and panang curry. Theyβve also got other curries, pad Thai, crab fried rice, spicy basil chicken, and other wonders that make my mouth water just thinking of them. Donβt come to Olney without picking up some Thai Cuisine! Youβll thank me later.
Pretty good Thai food. Drunken noodle is consistent with other Thai restaurants. I would return and try other dishes.
Stellar food. Tonight was my first time here, despite living 15 minutes away for more than 15 years. I got take away, of course, due to safety reasons.
Tonight, I have sampled from a salad, a soup, and a curry. Delicious, all three. I'll no longer go to the Thai places near to or on the way home from work. This is the place for me.
Drunken Rice is awesome!!!!!
Food is always amazing and staff always friendly.
this is the best thai food i've ever had. i've been getting food from here for many years, and the food is delicious. the flavors are amazing and everything is perfectly done. they tend to be a bit busy but it is 100% worth it. i remember when this restaurant was just a tiny place next to a mattress store. they really deserve the upgrade they got. the food is excellent. i'd definitely recommend the spring rolls and pad thai noodles!
Best Thai food in the area. Love the chicken pad thai.
This is the best Thai food Iβve ever had in the U.S.! No joke. Spicy, layers of flavor and not greasy w/ excellent side sauces. I live in NW DC, and I will drive the 40 mins to Olney to get their take out. Recommend the panang curry and pad Thai. Try it!
The food it pretty good and cheap for Olney, but compared to other Thai restaurants the food is not fresh and not flavored well. We have also had incidents where there has been hair in the food a nail and a chicken bone in a vegetarian soup.
Spectacular. We got glass noodle salad (no shrimp), pad see ew, and panang curry. The beef in our pad see ew was clearly a nicer cut than skirt. Honestly some of the best takeout we had have had this year. Really special place, definitely where we will go if we are in the area again.
The food was excellent. It took 2 hours to receive my order. The place was extremely busy tonight which is unusual. Without the long wait I would give 5 stars.
The young guy at the register is very rude..he has no business dealing with customers. I've ordered from this place a couple of times with no issues until today. Lets just say I won't be back. I will stick with my usual "THAI HOUSE" off of snouffer school road. NICE people and great food there!!! I don't need a sarcastic response from the owner here..hopefully they will learn how to train their employees with some customer service skill. It's not that hard to be nice to people.
This place makes some great, authentic Thai food right here! I was so pleased I know I'll be back.
I had a very bad experience picking up an on line order that didnβt go through. Instead of acting professionally and asking if they could take my order now, the young man shrugged his shoulders at me acted like he did not care and got smart wit me.
Thai Cuisine continues to deliver top notch Food and service in these strange times. Their dishes are always on point and their service is incredible. I have tried many different Thai places throughout the county and none are quite as good!
eggplant was old and undercooked, little meat. Stomach hurts but at least they forgot to make it extra spicy.
The taste was just so and the staff was very blunt. And it took 20 minutes for a lunch special menu. I don't think I'll ever come back here.
Really good drunken noodles and Thai Iced tea
This was recommended on a Facebook forum, and I cannot believe that I have spent 5 years in Olney without trying it!
All the food was delicious and the owner even accommodated my love for peanut sauce by giving extra.
Thanks for being awesome :-)
It is a good thai restaurant. However, trying to order carryout can be problematic as they only have one phone and you are met with a busy signal between 530-730PM. They really need to implement online ordering. That is my only complaint.
Update 2: 2 and a half years going to this place, they have gone from a take out to a dine in, and then the quarantine comes! I am so happy with the food, the service, the staff that work here. It has been a great experience throughout. Very happy to see their success, and very happy that they are being so thoughtful and careful right now.
Update: This has now become a weekly take out spot. Iβve tried pretty much everything on the menu and I have not been disappointed. The food is consistently good! I canβt wait for their new location to open.
I have one word. WOW!! Iβm new to the area and finding really good food has not been easy. I saw the reviews and decided to give this place a shot. It is a hole in the wall but the food was really good and authentic. I got takeout and the lady at the register was very sweet and courteous. I got Tom Kha soup, it was very flavorful and light but filling. I also got chicken Pad Thai. The flavor was spot on and the portion was very generous indeed. Iβm a small eater so itβll make for multiple meals. I feel like I walked away with a lot of good food for not a lot of money. Iβll definitely be back and Iβm looking forward to trying some of their curries and entrees. Great Thai iced tea too while I waited.

Will be back hard to find
Not great but not bad. Anytime I try a new Thai place I gotta try their Drunken Noodles (Kee Mao)! It was okay. I tried a few of the other things on their menu since I was with a group I tried theirs out.
I think my favorite Thai place is still Thai house. By all means this place isn't terrible and hits the spot if you're in the area.
Grandson's first taste of Thai food
Food is tasty. Place is clean and well run. Staff is friendly and attentive.
The best Thai place in town.
The food and prices were incredible.
Love Thai cuisine! We eat here more often than we should, highly recommend the drunken noodles and pineapple fried rice. Portions are good for the price.
Best food in Olney!
