Amazing food. I got Ramen and sushi, some of the best I’ve had. Service was great they were friendly and welcoming. The place was very clean. Over all 10/10

Diner Review №2

I used to work at a Japanese restaurant for 6 years, so I know how to make sushi. I ordered a Tonkatsu ramen and spicy tuna via Uber Eats. Uber said that it was ready at 7:26 pm. I arrived at 7:27 pm. The guy at the sushi bar asked for my name and started making my roll. After he finished and went inside the kitchen to talk with the staff, I noticed that my ramen was sitting outside and he didn't realize that it was ready. I waited for 10 minutes and finally got my order, but he didn't say anything to me other than asking for my name. I had to wait without knowing anything, just observing his actions.

I decided to give this place a second try because the first time several years ago, I had the ramen and it was salty. Again, this time, the taste was salty, so I had to add a lot of water. I'm sorry, but it's not worth my money.

Diner Review №3

Even though they were in the weeds and are short staffed. They still tried their best to give exceptional service. Thanks for that!

Diner Review №4

3 stars 3 for reasons

1. Good decent sushi, miso soup was delicious and hot! The Thai ice tea was fresh.

2. The service was quick considering we were the only ones there

3. The waiter was super nice and friendly

Minus 2 stars for 2 reasons

1. There was no Thai food at all! Soft opening October 1st

2. The price is on the higher end for sure.

Diner Review №5

This laid back japanese-thai fusion eatery provides a sampling of flavors across both cultures. The salmon bento box arrived beautifully presented, a colorful array of dishes that perfectly showcased the restaurant's culinary creativity. The salmon fillet was cooked to perfection, flaky and moist with a subtle sear that added a delightful texture. The accompanying sides were equally impressive - a generous portion of steamed rice, a refreshing salad with a tangy dressing, and a few pieces of maki. Pairing well with hit green tea and miso soup 🍣🍵🎏

This has been our go to sushi and ramen place for 2+ years. Sadly, since they changed ownership, it seems the kitchen is really struggling. Today the restaurant was pretty empty (it's a Monday). We had three orders of ramen. My son's came with half the usual broth. Mine was extremely salty, so much that by the time we got home, I chugged two pints of water. The sushi took a long time, but was the usual quality. We are going to take a break to try our other places and hope the new owners are able to work out their kitchen challenges.

Diner Review №22

The sushi was good. My seaweed salad was terrible not flavor wise but it had a little bit of seaweed salad and a whole bunch of leaves and cost $10?!? Did not make sense what so ever. NOT WORTH IT! Pork buns can with no sauce. The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because the sushi was good. Would not recommend getting anything else from this establishment.

Diner Review №23

Really good food and good place to eat! A pretty restaurant from the inside and nice workers.

Diner Review №29

Very good customer service! Everyone was very nice and the food was good! Wonderful experience!

Diner Review №30

My dad came in to pick up my order that I placed and was ordering something for himself when he got there. He placed his order and then began to pay for his order when the rude cashier just walked away to greet and seat two people who just walked in without saying anything to my dad. He asked her why would you just walk away in the middle of our transaction and the cashier did not care at all, was completely rude and unapologetic. I called back to cancel the order that they were making for me because my dad was treated so badly that he refused to spend a dollar there. When customer service is THAT poor it definitely makes you wonder if they are going to do something to our food. When I spoke to the cashier over the phone about the incident she then says that how they are trained. I’m completely disappointed and hungry but I’ll never spend another dollar there again if they think treating their customers like garbage is acceptable.

Diner Review №31

Amazing staff very great atmosphere, beautiful restaurant beautiful aesthetic, and most importantly amazing food literally to die for.

Diner Review №32

I come to this place regularly and the staff are always very welcoming and nice and the food is so good. If you come get the thai tea :)

So many sushi places in the area have closed in the last few months so that is what brought me to Zane for the first time. I was very happy with my spicy crunchy yellow tail roll and miso soup and it was a very reasonable price for a quick lunch. I decided to not order the speciality rolls as those felt overpriced at around $16. Would go again to try the spicy salmon miso soup, I have never seen that on a menu before.

As good as the food is, the service is the reciprocal. And that's usually how it goes, so it's not a slight against the establishment. We go for the food, not the service. It is, however, very clean.

Our Server and the Sushi Chef were very nice and friendly. The menu is very extensive. It was hard to choose because of so many good dishes. I had the Rainbow Sushi and the Avocado salad. The salad had avocado and seaweed salad on a bed of lettuce. Two of my favorites. When I'm in Germantown and need lunch this is the restaraunt I always go to.

Diner Review №47

The service is friendly and the food is good. I like to bring a book, order some food and relax. It's not noisy or crowded, as the tables are spaced farther apart. It just has a good feel for me.

Diner Review №48

Aug 2023: a nice sushi and ramen shop in Germantown with a mind for nicer decor. The chashu miso ramen was pretty good for America. We had 4 basic sushi rolls that I rate in the 7-8/10 range. We plan on returning and trying some of the premium rolls next time.

Diner Review №49

Very nice discovery on a Friday evening. Polite wait staff. We never felt rushed. Waitress took the time to understand our order thoroughly, as we had specific requirements regarding allergies.

Diner Review №50

Always good here

Diner Review №51

I keep wanting to give this place a chance, the food is good, but the service is sooo slow. My ramen was cold and so was the only others patrons in the place after waiting over 45minutes for it.

Diner Review №52

It's a pretty decent place and has a good ambiance. The fish quality is okay and can be improved. Overall, it is a good casual place for dining or take outs.

Diner Review №53

KIN has replaced Zane Eatery and they are awesome. Legit Japanese ramen and tonkatsu (easily as good we had in Tokyo). Will bring our own Sapporo until the get their liquor license (which will probably be soon). Can hardly wait to try the Thai food!!!

Diner Review №54

I am not sure why this restaurant isn't more popular. The servers are insanely friendly, the ambiance is cute, and don't even get me started on the food. I ordered the tuna avocado roll, Dragon roll, crunchy eel roll, shrimp shumai, and chicken teriyaki dinner for me and my friend to share. Let's just say this was our first time and it certainly won't be the last. The shrimp dumplings with the cute little red fish roe atop chopped scallions were a savory delight. The miso soup I received with the chicken teriyaki dinner warmed me right up- just what I needed in this cold weather. The quality of the fish used in the sushi was so good that I considered getting five orders of sashimi just to enjoy the fresh, fleshy goodness of the fish. I could have, but I guess I was too full to continue. That was stupid of me. I should have just ordered some for to-go. Speaking of to-go, I did get myself some strawberry and melon Japanese soda to take home. They are so fun to open and drink!

And then just as I was about to leave, everyone- the servers, the sushi chefs, and the owner- enthusiastically yelled "Have a good day and stay warm!"

Remember when I said that this would not be the last time we are here? Well I don't know about my friend, but I will make sure that I keep coming back until everyone is sick of me haha.

Diner Review №55

I had a great experience here! The staff is so nice, my food came out quickly, and it was really good. The staff was even nice enough to let my date and I stay in there talking even though they were closed (we didn’t know😂). Will definitely be back!

Diner Review №56

The vegetarian sushi was the worst I’ve ever had and very overpriced for what you get

Diner Review №57

I was craving some spicy food, and this place was perfect. The food tastes really good as well. The waiters are nice and friendly. I highly recommend this place!

Diner Review №62

Diner Review №63

Tried this place out for the first time, the atmosphere was fantastic and the food was great. It was honestly not too expensive too.

Diner Review №64

For decent fare, skip quickway and endulge in a quaint Ramen sushi joint a quick zip from the Clarksburg outlets. They have fried soft shell crab! And other standard inflation fighters without the crowd. Then hit up the wine store next door and grab some liquor for wino's sake!

Diner Review №65

Our first time here -
The sushi is soooo good!
The special rolls are yumm (we tried the volcano roll, Spicy tuna roll)
Even the basic rolls are so flavorful (we tried the crunchy yellowtail, and crunchy alaska roll).

You will love it!

Diner Review №66

Diner Review №67

Great vegan options including sushi rolls, maki rolls, edamame, salad and veggie bento box. Confirmed with staff that the tempura does not contain eggs or milk.

Staff were friendly and the atmosphere in the restaraunt was nice and quiet. Prices are excellent

Diner Review №68

This is literally my family's favorite place for sushi and ramen. I even went there for my birthday with a friend

Diner Review №69

Food is tasty. But ramen portions are small. They really skimp on the chashu

Diner Review №70

Diner Review №71

Germantown has a gem in its midst. We were a large group on 12 and the waitress was amazing and helpful. We were looking at the vegetarian options as we only eat Halal meat, but the waitress mentioned that the owner started buying halal chicken so all staff can partake and eat. It was madness after that as we went crazy ordering all the chicken items.

We ordered
The Chicken Teriyaki Bento box
Volcano Sushi
Chicken Katsu Donburi
Tom Kha Soup

All of the food was great and we loved it. Highly recommended as this is a rare Japanese restaurant with halal food options. Go eat!

Diner Review №72

Udon soup was a hit

Diner Review №73

Cool place great service great food get out and enjoy

Diner Review №74

Average food. With the quantity of restaurants in the area we won't be revisiting anytime soon.

Diner Review №75

Diner Review №76

First visit to this small restaurant in Germantown. I tried sushi tempura roll and coke. Service was good and attentive. The view out the restaurant is great, nice sunny full of light, you are stuck in dark corner. The resrooms were clean, the only thing which I did not like was the seats were dusty and the upkeep of the place. The seats were torn.

Diner Review №77

I love this place. The seafood always tastes fresh. The presentations of the food are great. The service is excellent.

Diner Review №78

Diner Review №79

If you’re looking for a place with fresh and authentic foods I would recommend Kin Japanese and Thai. I was told by the young manager that they flew in a real Thai chef! My favorite dish is a the Pad Ka Pow with chicken and a side of miso soup!!

Diner Review №80

I really love the ramen here!! I think it’s my favorite thing on the menu. The Tan-Tan Ramen is amazing. I do think the sushi is hit or miss. It’s not bad, but there is better sushi out there. I come here for the Ramen and everything else, not the sushi.

Diner Review №81

Ordered a Philadelphia roll and California roll and my husband and I know we like those sushi’s yet when we got it here. It tasted like fish and had a piece of hair in one of the sushi places. The other two rolls are good that we got. Just kind of disappointed about this place won’t be ordering from here again

In a hurry? --> If you can't decide between sushi, Thai, ramen, or Japanese cuisine, don't! You won't be disappointed. Positive experience from parking to leaving full. Some of the best Asian food that you'll find in Germantown and beyond.

My wife and I visited for the first time since the recent ownership change, and WOW, we had an absolutely incredible experience. Food is amazing, with real, fresh ingredients, friendly service, and a cute interior that's conveniently located in downtown Germantown.

Getting there: The easiest place to park if you can't find street parking (no metered parking) is across the street at the recently-renovated library. There are crosswalks nearby, so you don't have to go too out of your way. For the restaurant entrance, look for a black sign with a red circle and white lettering.

Arrival: We went for lunch and did not make a reservation prior. We were greeted with a cheerful smile and were seated immediately. The restaurant interior was cute, warm, and intimate.

Bathroom: 2, clean gender-neutral bathrooms that are easy to find.

Ordering: We ordered both their Thai and sushi. The food came out quickly and at a perfect eating temperature which is great because we came hungry! Portion sizes were nice; we did not leave hungry, and actually left with leftovers. Sushi rice was the perfect temperature, the fish was fresh and flavorful, and the ingredients were balanced perfectly. This isn't one of those places where you feel the need to drown the stale rice in soy sauce and wasabi. The pricing was great for the quality you get! This place would 100% be able to stand in its own as a sushi-only place.

The Thai food was the surprise hit for us. All of the food tasted like it was made from scratch with market fresh ingredients. The chicken in our green curry was magically tender but not undercooked. Most of the other Thai places we've tried overcooks the chicken. The sauce wasn't overly sweet or salty; you could taste each of the unique elements. All of the vegetables were cooked perfectly as well. Just ... wow.

Their curry puffs were heavenly: puffy without being airy or starchy/overly fried FILLED with the good stuff. The pad thai was probably the best we've had in the area.

There wasn't a single miss in our experience. We can't wait to try more of their menu!

Diner Review №84

My sister and I roamed around trying to figure out where to eat as there are so many choices on this street. We were greeted immediately upon entry. Lunch crowd was pretty busy. Service was faster than expected and server was very friendly.

Killer sushi and ramen

Diner Review №87

Ate here this Friday. Was told by a chirpy waiter with straight hair that this restaurant is now selling Thai food. They now have a Thai menu and a Japanese menu, so to all the people who walked in to ask for Thai food while I stood, go eat up.

I am not sure why the changes at Zane Japanese Eatery have not been documented in the form of newer reviews, but since no one else is doing it, I am willing to take the responsibility of informing you all that this restaurant has experienced a MASSIVE upgrade. The last time I came, the ambiance was rough, the waiters had potential but seemed confused, and the food was salty.

But now, things have changed.

The ambiance is a lot more authentic and restaurant-like. They more or less still have the same waiters, but they are a lot more coordinated and professional than before. I could only not recognize one waiter who was not wearing a cap. Other than her, everyone else was people I already knew. There was the bearded guy with calmness emanating from within, the chirpy waiter with straight hair I was talking about earlier who pitched the Thai menu whenever she was around, the waiter with glasses who was energetic and who seemed to have figured out the meaning of life, and lastly, the waiter I had never seen before. I am not going to lie, I genuinely felt proud to see that this restaurant had trained and reshaped the same people into better versions of themselves. Call it character development, if you will.

The sushi department is still the same. They were amazing then, and they are still amazing now. The California Transformer Roll was mouthwatering and fun to eat. I think this restaurant has a tip jar for sushi chefs as well!

And now: onto the food. The Kapow Fried Rice was packed with flavor and delectability. The chicken that I bit into each morsel was like a fun surprise. The Tom Yum Soup has improved so much that now, I can say that what I ate was genuinely Tom Yum Soup and not some salty mess like it was before.

Overall experience was amazing. This place has grown in terms of food, service, and ambiance. It was extremely busy too, so I appreciate the amazing dining experience that I was able to have that evening.

I wish I had taken pictures. But picture or not, if you are somebody who walks past this restaurant every day because you think this place only sells Japanese food, please don't. Take it from a picky eater: this restaurant is worth your time.

Diner Review №89

NO SOUP FOR YOU! came in around noon only two other tables occupied, they brought me menu and my drink , i ordered miso ramen soup, a half an hour goes by no soup, then someone else comes and asks me if I want to order. Had to go back to work by this point. Will be going to sushi legend up the street from now on.

Diner Review №90

Ramen was SUPER SALTY. Sushi is good but the specialty rolls are OVERPRICED... If they were more reasonably priced then I would be coming here all the time... Some of the specialty rolls are basically $20 for a single roll.... =/

Diner Review №91

Delicious.
I had the miso ramen and pan-fried pork gyozo. Quiet place, but good food. The soy sauce soft boiled eggs were a great touch, as was the bok choy.

Courteous and thoughtful service.

Diner Review №92

This is an OK restaurant; I wouldn't say it is a great one. Firstly, it says it's a Japanese restaurant on one side of its signpost, and on the other, it says it's also a Thai restaurant. Personally, I'm not a fan of mixed Asian-themed restaurants, but the Thai place down the street wasn't allowing in-house dining, so a friend and I tried Zane.

She went for Sushi Rolls (they don't serve Nigiri or Sashimi--at least I didn't see it on the lunch menu) and a Tofu appetizer. I went for the Japanese Spring Rolls and the Unagi Don eel+rice dish with Miso Soup.

The two appetizers were--in my honest opinion--best for people who have no other access to better quality restaurants, let alone Japanese or Thai restaurants. That sounds harsh, but the spring rolls were hot without much else in the way of flavor. The tofu was dry and the Sweet and Sour sauce served with it was a bit of an insult: it tasted of (and had the consistency of) water with rationed sweet and sour sauce.

The sushi rolls my friend ordered were about as tasty as the kind you'd find in a grocery store nearby: not bad, mind you, but not quality sushi. As mentioned above, the menu did not offer Nigiri or Sashimi, only rolls.

The Eel Dish (Unagi Don) was tasty and satisfying...when I still had eel left in my large bowl of rice. I felt it would have been a wonderful dish, had the eel-to-rice ratio been more equal or balanced. The flavors were good, but I finished my eel way too early and was left eating only a bowl of rice for the rest of my meal (don't let the photo fool you, the bowl was pretty deep and filled with white rice). At about $15 for it, I couldn't recommend it.

The Miso Soup was forgotten about until the end of the meal when I had to remind the waiter. The place was busy, I understood. Upon reception, however, I wasn't surprised to find that the soup was, though perfectly edible, lacking in flavor.

Regarding the establishment itself: the space was roomy enough to accommodate several family-sized tables. No one wore masks, naturally, as people need to eat. One of the bathrooms was out of order, but the working one was decently maintained.

Service was OK. Our waiter was respectful, but was handling pretty much the entire floor that day and was busy and forgetful. Not a big deal we understood that. The food, however, was overall mediocre at best.
3/5 stars from me.

Diner Review №93

Diner Review №94

Came here for dinner but ended up settling for tonkatsu ramen. Probably not the best I have had in the area. It was bland, and just missed that special touch that makes ramen what it is. Also the noodles tasted more like packaged ones and not freshly made. For appetizer I had the fried squid and futomaki. I was not really impressed by these either...the squid was too oily and the futomaki was simply a disaster.

Diner Review №95

Meh! Was optimistic given the positive reviews but unfortunately the experience was somewhat disappointing. Restrooms were dirty, one was out of order, other’s lock didn’t work. No sashimi. Sushi was ok. Pretty much what you would get at Wegman’s.

Go to Yuraku up the road if you want excellent sushi thats only slightly much expensive.

Diner Review №96

My family loves this Japanese restaurant! We get the sushi, we have tried the seaweed outside and the regular special roles. They have a great FRESHNESS, TASTE and SELECTION!

If you muster up the courage, you must try the octopus appetizer and the squid legs. The shrimp dumplings are very good (my favorite), and the veggie dumplings are good.

My husband bought the chicken fried rice and loved it. The vegetables were done just right... not too crunchy and not too soft.

Diner Review №97

Sushi was really good! Fresh and good portion. Variety of options. I recommend.

Service was okay, forgot to bring us several things during our dine in. They were young kids, nice but can definitely improve.

Diner Review №98

They made a good fried rice dish that was really filling.

Diner Review №99

Ordered veg donburi, very disappointing. It was almost $20 and all it had was rice, some avocado and very little mushroom. Will not order again.

Diner Review №100

I used to order from here for 3 years now, everything has changed. I ordered yesterday and it was disgusting !! The salmon was not fresh and not good at all. The « dragon roll » was the worst.
I will not order from them again !!

Diner Review №101

I'm writing this from the restaurant. The vegetable fried rice, was lukewarm and has 0 taste. I requested spicy vegetarian fried rice. Got some leftover rice with rubbery tofu , with NO FLAVOR. Had to get siracha and salt to make it edible. My son ordered the Ramen, which was barely warm. Tasted decent.
2 kid's waiting tables, scurrying around the restaurant. No service. Did not care. Can't blame them.
Won't be coming back

Diner Review №102

We ordered Sushi, Raman Bowl, and soft shell crab box. The Sushi was good but expensive, $34 for 2 rolls. The Raman Bowl was too salty. The soft shell crabs meat was not good. Meat was mushy like dead crab meat versus fresh. The softshell crab box came with avocado salad, CA rolls, shrimp dumplings, rice, and miso soup. Guy forgot my miso soup. Avacdo salad was good, shrimp dumpling was OK, and miso soup was good. Overall $70 for lunch. Kinda expensive for ok food. I would not be visiting unless you like Sushi rolls.

Diner Review №103

Diner Review №104

Server seemed very new but overall very good experience. Amazing food and host asked about our pronouns which was very nice and never has happened to us before while dining out so bonua points for that lol.

Diner Review №105

Bad fish. Stick to the ramen or veggie rolls.

Diner Review №106

Coming home from a late work day and I wanted something hot in my tummy!

Looked for a Ramen place and this was on my way home! So glad it was recommended!

The food is great and the staff is friendly and attentive. The Ramen IS actually spicy if you order it that way.

This is now my favorite Ramen place!!

Diner Review №107

Has Zane’s ownership changed? Even The miso soup was disappointing, Time to look for a new noodle shop.

Diner Review №108

Diner Review №109

Service and food is good. Two or more veg options in sushi which taste great. But very limited to no options for vegetarians if you want to have noodle soup or dumplings

Diner Review №110

Diner Review №111

Pretty bad service. The waiter didn't really have a clue about sushi which was surprising (they must have been new). I ordered the bento box but it wasn't that good- the rice was undercooked, the dumplings seemed frozen, and the teriyaki chicken was a bit undercooked and underseasoned. The sushi was okay, but honestly how can you mess up a California roll... I don't recommend coming here especially if you don't know what you're ordering or if you enjoy a classic dining experience.

We've gone here or had take out from Zane many times and food is always good. Parking is available all around century Blvd so that's not a problem. They were a go-to place during the pandemic too which we greatly appreciated. Cooking at home most of the time is fine BUT it was nice to escape our house and their food made pandemic prison bearable 😳... definitely recommend.

Diner Review №117

I like the food from this place! Clean environment, nice ambient music.

Diner Review №118

I went there with a friend and we ordered 6 assorted rolls including Alaskan, Eel, salmon skin, and spicy tuna. Everything was on point and fresh. I highly recommend.

Diner Review №119

The sushi is amazing. It is a small place, so expect to wait.

Diner Review №120

Sushi is good. Unfortunately their Ramen was very salty...not just the broth but the noodles themselves

Diner Review №121

I love there raman

Diner Review №122

20 minutes for walk-in takeout... Ugh.

Diner Review №123

Best place for sushi and ramen in a Germantown/Gaithersburg area hands down. They have many specialty rolls to choose from besides traditional Japanese classics and their ramen selection is awesome. They offer traditional pork options but also seafood and veggie with different levels of spiciness and they let you customize things a bit. We've been to this place many times over the years and it never disappoints. Highly recommend

Diner Review №124

Excellent food. Great service

Diner Review №125

This was the first time eating inside Zane's. Ordered takeout for over a year and loved it each and every time. Going inside was so much better. Didn't know that it could get better.
Their ramen is amazing, their sushi devine, and the green tea is delicious.
Date night success!

Diner Review №126

SUCHHHH great place for flavorful ramen and sushi! I’ve never had a perfectly spicy spicy tuna until this place!

Diner Review №136

I placed an order via their website and when I went to pick up, the restaurant was closed. Called went to voicemail. Yet, I was charged for the order. When I called back to ask why, they promise a call back, but never call me back. Not sure if they running a restaurant or a scam.

Diner Review №137

Ordered take out for the first time, as I pulled apart the sushi LONG PIECE OF HAIR came out. I called back and all I got was “I’m sorry about that” this is disgusting. I’m sorry i wasted my money here.

Diner Review №138

I ordered Bento box and shrimps shushi tray. That's was great.

Diner Review №139

Always a great experience. The food is fresh and delicious. You've gotta try the 🌋 ramen.. It's absolutely fantastic 😊. The sushi is really good also. My favorite is the Germantown roll. When your want authentic Japanese food.. Look no further.

Diner Review №168

Overpriced but the food taste authentic.

Diner Review №169

Delicious, clean, affordable. Great variety of options on the menu. Had to go two weeks in a row after discovering!

Diner Review №170

The food is really good!!!!!! Service was really good as well.

Diner Review №171

Really, REALLY good. We got the California and crunchy shrimp avocado rolls, along with fried rice. The service for all the food was super great, as the server was quick. And they present the food like it's an art, so that's cool. Definitely recommend!

Ordered pickup here for the first time and was really impressed. The inside of the restaurant looked really nice and the staff seemed very friendly. The sushi rolls we got were really good but the amazing food was the Tom Yum Seafood Ramen. I highly recommend trying it out if you don't mind a little spice. I'll definitely be coming back here.

I regularly order from here and the sushi, nigiri, and appetizers are always fresh, superb, and tasty. As someone with celiac disease, I’ve never encountered any issues with the food nor have gotten sick as some places do add wheat or crunch to sushi rolls. I always request rolls without, and Zane always delivers.

The octopus salad is my recommendation for our more adventurous eaters and the fried tofu appetizer is terrific as a delicious vegan side.

I’ve had a variety of their rolls and each is absolutely delicious! I’ve not dined in yet, but the takeout quality is so on point. I really recommend trying Zane.

Me and my wife are regulars here. Eat here every couple weeks. We recommend it to everyone. Great service, polite staff, very clean. Food is always fantastic. Drunken noodles are our favorite.

Diner Review №178

I wasn't really impressed with the ramen at this place. I've yet to try the Thai food.

The ramen broth was extremely bland
I ordered additional toppings and was charged for it but didn't get it.

The pork was flavorful, but the egg was way overcooked.

I also ordered the pork dumplings. The pork in the dumplings didn't really taste seasoned and there wasn't a lot of pork in there.

Overall I would like to try their other food, but there are many other better choices for ramen not that far away.

Amazing food and service. Primarily Japanese but they have some variety too. Their ramen and and sushi are the best in the area. Zane is the top of my list for local Asian food.

Volcano 🌋 Ramen is my go to at this place!

Zane has quality ingredients, decent portions, and they are working a very safe format for the pandemic. I was most impressed by the speed at which my order was ready, I was told 5-10 minutes and I think it was finished in only 2! I can see myself being a regular here

Diner Review №185

Great service, our order was missing an item, when I called they person realized the mistake and was quick to resolve. Thank you for being so helpful.

We were in a sushi mood but wanted something more reasonably priced. Zane fit the bill, so we ordered online for pick up.

Everything was really good! We got Alaska Rolls, Udon Soup, the spicy sauteed noodles, panang curry, and a specialty roll. The Alaska Rolls were different from the usual, and instead had salmon, crunch, and spicy mayo, but were REALLY tasty. The udon broth had good flavor and a ton of vegetables. The panang was good too, just the right level of spicy. The sauteed spicy noodles were listed as udon, but what came was a wide rice noodle. We were kind of hoping for the udon, but the spicy garlic sauce was really good, so we couldn't complain.

Over all it was a really great meal and I think this'll be my new go-to for "close to the house" sushi! There are other amazing places I love for sushi, but 10 minutes away beats driving to Rockville or silver spring.

I come here alll the time. The food is great but tonight i was beyond let down. I ordered delivery. My order was repeated twice over the phone. It was correct. When i received the delivery it was missing an item. I called the store to see if the missing item could be brought to me and was met with attitude right off the bat. The woman told me she hadnt put my missing item on the bill and that it was her fault...Then when i asked to pay for the item and have it delivered i was told she couldnt do that because there is a 20$ minimum. She then became rude and said that i should have said something when she repeated the order.. But when she repeated, the order was correct! I then asked to come pick up the missing item and she said she needed to speak to a manager then proceeded to hang up on me. I called back and a woman shouted in the phone in another language at me and hung up! I am so frustrated because we never have issues here.

Tonkotsu Ramen there is the best!!!

Diner Review №189

First time nice and close to me

Diner Review №190

Overpriced for the quality of food.

Diner Review №191

First time I ordered a Ramen. The soup was not bad, but the egg and the pork looks nothing like the picture other people shared. I got some red color pork in my Ramen which I didn't feel comfortable eating it, and the egg was just a hard boild egg, instead of the Ramen egg. Second time I ordered sushi roll, it's pricey and salty. I thought I would got some good food since it got so many positive reviews, maybe I just got bad luck with not very good experience here twice.

Located in quaint little downtown district, we chose this place among a handful of Asian restaurants in the area and weren't disappointed. I had the Volcano sushi Roll (pictured) and taste and consistency was as good as presentation). Son had drunken noodles and spouse had pad thai, which they both raved about. Friendly service to top it off!
