Excellent food. We were passing by and made a quick stop here. We were able to find parking across the street. We ordered the food at the counter and then sat down. We order fresh spring roll with avacado, red curry, green curry and ginger stir fry all of them with tofu. The food came out quickly and was very flavorful. We had leftovers so we ordered rice again to take out which we were charged extra for. It's a small place. I would say take out is a better option instead of dining in but we were passing by so no issues. The food compensates for the atmosphere. There are a lot of dishes that you could just ask to be made with tofu or extra veggies for vegetarian options

I wish I could leave a review only based on their customer service, but since this is a restaurant and the main purpose is to eat food... I have to say that the food is inedible and unsafe for consumption. More expensive than any other place in the surrounding area, likely due to not having many customers? I don't know... But just fair warning if you choose to eat here - we ordered the Tom Kha soup and the mushrooms were uncooked and the soup itself tasted like a watery cream of mushroom, which congealed within a half hour.

On my 3rd bite my gag reflex kicked in and I couldn't eat another bite. All of our $80 worth of food got thrown away and I made us tuna fish sandwiches for dinner that night.

October 10, 2022 - Following Google directions, missed it , had to turn around . . . a typical small college town eating spot, where the locals go for good food! It’s not fancy, but a humble Thai restaurant with plastic utensils & paper plates that offer a reasonable selection of authentic Thai food at reasonable prices!

We took a chance, and stopped for a quick Sunday meal. As you walk into a “pizza slice”shaped building on the corner of College ( Bates College down the street) & Sabattus, folks order their food at the front counter. The menu offers a few appetizers like spring rolls, chicken on skewers, dumplings, etc. There’s a couple of soup choices. Then rice & noodle selections, followed by a good selection of entrees.

We met the owner & chef Pat V. She worked 12 years in New York , honing her skills. My wife ordered crispy duck, which was excellent! I ordered the spring rolls, which were vegetarian. . . I was hoping for spring rolls . . . veggies with shrimp, chicken, or pork style ? I also ordered the chicken skewers with brown rice. Very good. Plus the little $5 bottles of wine. . . with a plastic cup. Hey it’s fine!

The food wasn’t fancy, but good. This is a solid 4.5 establishment geared for those who want a “ take out” meal , but you can eat in also! Prices reasonable, and the counter service is excellent! Thanks Pat for a splendid Thai dinner !

The Thai dumplings were so flavorful they didn't even need a dipping sauce and the ground chicken and basil was absolutely delicious! I'll go back next time I'm in town.

We stopped here for lunch with family on way back from Acadia NP. The food here is very tasty and every dish has its unique flavor. We loved the spice and it still was flavorful! They cooked one dish with complete vegetarian option and mushroom sauce for one person as well. Very decent and polite staff and lovely food! Will visit here again if we are near this area.

Great food! Nothing fancy on the decor. They have a very good menu. The 14 in our party had lot of differences in what they wanted, and they all found something. I had "extra spicy" Pad Thai, and it was just right for me (your tolerance may vary).

We had take out , but I can tell you that the Resturant was cute and clean, we always look at the overall cleanliness before we eat anywhere. I had vegetable tofu curry, the vegetables were fresh and expertly prepared. My wife had the mixed Vegetable pad Thai which was also very good. For desert we had the mango sticky rice and it was delicious!

The food was all fresh and amazing! Will be going back. Great staff!

I've been going there for years now and this is the first time the food was of such poor quality. I ordered two Pad Thai dishes and they both were sub par from what I expect from there.
Regular Pad Thai, with beef had very little flavor and was on the bland side, like they forgot to add an ingredient.
The Spicey Pad Thai was terribe, I only ate a few bites. The heat was fine but it didn't even taste right. The broccoli was very tiny and tasted off and there was hardly any real pad thai taste. A real disappointment. It will be a while before I go there again.

Please check the food, or have a clean area while cooking. I got sick from eating Chicken glass noodles. I got food poison after eating it. I love the Thai food here but the price for it just to get me sick, I'm very frustrated how much I spend here, hopefully no one else got sick.

This place used to be good but the portions are pathetic and the prices are high. They overcook their meats and the flavors are just so- so. They also have the worst parking situation ever.

Their Bubble tea is amazing! (I get the Taro frequently) the workers are very welcoming, kind, and diligent!

You have to try Larb salad! It makes your tongue do the happy dance!!! Pumpkin Curry is equally amazing!

My absolute favorite place for thai is thai kitchen. They were very understanding when I was late to get my food because of car trouble. The lady who took my call said she would keep my food warm, and it was. So thankful & I wish this team all the best!

Located within walking distance from Bates College, Pure Thai is definitely one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Maine! Their Pad Thai and pork dumplings are a must-try. With its convenient location and mouthwatering dishes, this place is a definite win for Thai food lovers and Bates students.

I’ve came to this place a few times now, some of the best Thai food in Lewiston. The locale is on corner and can be easy to miss if you don’t know what you’re looking for. There is no dedicated parking area, so it can be difficult to find some during busy times of the day.

You can come in and order at the counter. If you’re dining in they’ll bring the food to your table after you’ve ordered. The food can take some time to be prepared even if they are not very busy, but it’s always worth it.

Most recently I had the Theee Flavor Fish. Highly recommend, it’s delicious. I’ve also had the Fried rice with Crispy chicken. They have a good selection of bubble tea as well. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant itself, but nothing to ride home about. The staff is very friendly and cordial.

Food was delicious and hot but they took their time to tell me that they take the orders in the front.

Great lunch specials! The house soup is especially good. Noodle dishes aren’t overly sweet & good amount of heat. Very friendly staff!

My wife and I love thai just like the next guy, but the curry puffs, dumplings, and snapper are to die for honestly! The only reason why I have to drop the score down to 4 is because of the drunken noodles. I do not know if it is a recipe from a different region that we are used to eating the dish based out of, but it just wasn’t hitting like the other dishes would expect it to be. We will be back in regardless to have everything once more!

Some of the best crab ragoons I have had in a very long time. We also ordered the duck noodles in three different spice levels (mild, medium, and hot) - we were all impressed by the flavor and quality. Will definitely be trying more of their menu!

Food tastes good, if fewer vegetables and more coconut milk than expected. $15+Tax for curry &brown rice. However, not enough rice, as rice container only half full, so had to order another box for $2.70+tax

Other than the rice container being questionably filled (pic attached - not sure if that's how much rice you would usually get with a meal here but I'm used to containers being FULL full), great experience! I wasn't expecting to find good (Asian) food in the middle of Maine, but Lewiston is actually a food lover's gem! The food and service received here at Pure Thai was great! Note: Even though their store hours say they close at 8:45pm (on Sundays), they had already closed the sitting area when I got there at 8pm, so I had to do take out, which was totally fine.

Delicious pad thai, had it twice as not much is open late in the area. Lovely staff, stayed open an extra 5 minutes for our takeout order for me and some colleagues. The coconut rice and mango was delicious!

Just had my fifth delivery by Pure Thai and I HAD to put a review to say how awesome they are. Do not judge a book by its cover! If you drive by Pure Thai or look at the picture of their restaurant online in Google maps, you may be fooled into thinking that this is not a quality place. I know I was, but I was very wrong! I have been impressed with them over and over again. The food is excellent! Try the Gra Prow Kai Dow, Pad Thai or Amber Shrimp. YUM! Their delivery is highly professional. They actually have Thai iced tea (shortage elsewhere it seems). Their cup carriers are unique - it is obvious that they think about how to take care of your food. They always call to check in after dropping off their food with us and they always have our food labeled and stable in the bag. Very polite and polished. You can order online. Pricing is normal for the quality. All around great place. :)

My friends and I ordered lunch from Pure Thai, I ordered the Crispy Duck Curry- it was AMAZING. Duck was cooked perfectly, the curry flavors were phenomenal, HUGE serving so I get to have leftovers for lunch again the next day. I will absolutely recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

The people here are absolutely lovely, and the food is great. Very spicy, but lots of flavor.

The drunken noodle is amazing. I told them I really like it spicy (my husband calls me a heat freak), and they nailed it. My husband (a total wimp) likes it without any spice whatsoever, and he enjoyed his too. I’ve been dying (nearly literally, once) to find a Thai place up this way that meets my standards, and this place is it.

Veggie pad Thai was ok. Very acidic. Shrimp still had the tails on in the seafood pad Thai. Not ok. The fried tofu was flavorless but the dipping sauce was great.

This is the 4th Thai restaurant I've been to in the Lewiston Auburn area, and by far the food is the best Thai in the area. Ordered several apps and main dishes, all were wonderful. Our food was ready on time, checkout was quick, and was packaged so it got home hot and not a dripping mess.

Don't dismiss this place by judging the book by the cover. The food tastes great and has healthy vegetarian options.

Hands down one of the BEST thai food in Lewiston. The food is FRESH always super hot when it is delivered to me. When there is a high volume of customers the delivery takes (typically) as long as they say it will.

AMAZING!!!! We had the fried calamari, duck pad thai, and the pure Thai dumplings. The duck was so tender, Pad Thai was spiced perfectly, the dumplings were to die for we are ordering 2 next time. So polite an nice an amazing experience every time. It's our kid free night "must have" now.

Good flavor and service. The green papaya salad has an amazing mix of flavors, and their thai iced tea is the best I've had in New England. A must-stop for locals or passers-by.

Another Hidden Gem in the city of Lewiston awesome service the food is outstanding my wife and I had a three-course lunch for $20 that include the dumplings and two more appetizers and two entrees and the. You cannot beat it and the quality of food you get is outstanding I had the curry chicken which was mildly spicy but it was so delicious the dumplings were out of this world we will go back again just for the dumplings out themselves I just can't believe it took us six years to get there but it will not be six years until we get it back there
