Laid-back, family-run Thai option with traditional art, spiced-to-order favorites & imported beer.
Solid lunch option and great value.
I had the pad see ew and my wife had the sweet and sour chicken lunch special.
My dish was quite good; I wish it’d have had more broccoli but that’s just a personal preference. It was loaded with chicken, great house made noodles and sauce. One of the better noodle dishes I’ve had; homemade noodles makes such a difference 5/5
My wife’s dish was great value but not a great dish. 4/5
Two people for lunch in 2024 for $40 is doing pretty well; I’d definitely come back.
Delicious steamed tofu pad thai and tofu/vegetable curries! Also got some delicious vegetable dumplings. Flavors are amazing and the service is wonderful. New favorite Thai restaurant in Maine!
Best Thai food I've ever had honestly. Great pad Thai and they always give freebies when you order takeout. Nice staff too.
Had dinner tonight, rate it a 10! Great service, great food. I travel to Singapore regularly and always say, “I wish I could get this food back home”. Well I finally found equally as good Asian food back home!
Looking forward to go back!

Not very good food at all. Had the drunken noodles. There are better places in Portland.

A great lunch. We'll be back.
Best Thai food I have EVER had in my entire life, no jokes. Service was excellent.
This is my new favorite go to Thai place. Great value.
I lived in Thailand for several years. The food at Thai Garden is authentic and delicious, with a wide range of dishes including less common ones like Larb, and the service is exceptional. If I lived in the area, I would eat here often!

Me and my wife just came back from Thai Garden. Awesome food and generous portions. Super kind and attentive service. Reasonable prices. I wish we lived around here.
I was tempted to keep this gem to myself but my better angels whispered. Each and every criteria for gustatory pleasure here gets five stars. Tonight will be the second night in a row, and again I’ll go with Five Queens. Last night the Chicken Satay warmed me up, tonight the Crab Rangoons. Five Stars in every respect.
Although the Massaman Curry Beef was tasty the meat was extremely tough. If I am paying $18 for maybe an ounce or two of beef included I expect it to be tender. It was so hard to chew it was unpleasant. I couldn't even bite a piece in half. It took a very long time to chew each piece to the point it could be swallowed.
My partner and I LOVE this place. We stop by whenever we are driving from Belfast, ME to Boston. Some of the best Drunken Noodles I've ever had!
I liked the Tom Ka and the pineapple chicken.
We were not sure about this place at first. We ordered the steamed dumplings, but they were hard and almost inedible. We asked for them to be cooked more, but when they came back they were not much better. We couldn't eat them. We were sceptical when they brought the entrees, but the food turned out to be so delicious. The meal was flavorful and the portions were generous. You can request the level of spiciness to your pallet and they did a good job. We had no room for dessert. The wait staff was kind and very pleasant and spent some time talking to us. We would go back.

Great food, fantastic friendly service.
The food was excellent, probably the best green curry I've ever had. The service was prompt and friendly, and the prices very reasonable.
It was a welcome stop after a strenuous trip to LL Bean.
I've been coming to eat great food at this restaurant for as long as it's been open. This week, I ordered an appetizer single order of fried tofu and a Thai tea for a small lunch. The tea was such a tiny cup, and was filled with ICE, so I had maybe four sips from the cup. I was charged over $18 for this drink and the small tofu appetizer, which was the smallest portion size ever. This is why restaurants, which used to be so good, close without warning. Prices double, and portion sizes shrink down to half what they used to be. 😮💨
Excellent food and service, as usual. It's our place to go to while in Freeport.
When my group was seated, we didn't have proper silverware and waited quite a while for our food despite being one of the only groups in the restaurant. Our food was good when it did arrive, the salads were crisp and fresh and everything turned out how we expected it to be.
Delicious and abundant food. I had duck with green curry and brown rice. It was delicious. I took some home to my husband.
The BEST Thai I've ever had.
Every dish is made carefully and thoughtfully.
Steve and Art are fabulous and make everyone feel at home.
I LOVE that they are close to me in Freeport.
The food was good, if only they seved what we ordered and they had admitted they either made a mistake or if they had warned us they were out of what we ordered. Instead they served another dish saying that was how they make the dish we ordered! Pad thai is not drunken noodles! Sorry but do not think custi are that ignorant.
Art was a nice server.
Excellent meal. Very fresh tasting. Nice people too.
Wonderful Apps and Main courses. Server was great!! Food was delicious and variable for heat
Yummy!
I got orange chicken and wonton soup, which were both delicious. They were nice enough to take my order shortly before they closed. I didn't realize things close early in the area, even on the weekends.
Bottom line: Food quality and taste is excellent. Service was excellent
I got the lo mein and it was pretty average run of the mill type lo mein. No complaints pretty happy
Excellent! Our new go-to for Thai. Nice portions. Friendly service.
The tom yum was made correctly, lots of lemongrass and lime flavor. Other places we've tried are almost sweet, without the tart flavor you'd expect.
The green curry didn't have eggplant, which was different, and it tasted unusually sweet. Sauce was more liquid than typical. It wasn't my favorite.
Pad woon sen was delicious.
Rangoon was nice and crispy and hot.
I appreciated how the sweet and sour sauce didn't have artifical dyes in it, like the usual orange tinged stuff you see elsewhere.
Stopped in for lunch before shopping. Great service and food. Will definitely go back next time in Freeport.
Best Thai around!
Great food.
Food was really good. I had drunken noodles at 3 stars level spicy and it was delicious. Not too spicy, just perfect. Service is a little slow but I come from NY where everything is super fast. It's kind of hard to tell if it's open from the outside if it wasn't for a small OPEN sign. The lady was super helpful and kind with us. Thank you!
THE best Thai food I have EVER had. Service is fast and friendly and the dine-in experience is relaxed, clean, and welcoming.
Duck was good, the queens, was even better! Spring rolls were good also! Nice people
Amazing Thai food and great service!
Everything about this place is good
Delicious pad Thai, curry with coconut, and fresh spring rolls. The server was charming, attentive, and friendly, even during a busy evening. We will be back, as we live locally. Thank you!
Great food and extremely fast service
Good Thai food, great service.
Great food! Loved the chicken pad Thai. We enjoyed the crab Rangoon, Thai fried spring rolls, chicken tempura, wonton soup, and chicken fried rice.
Even my picky 10 year old liked the food!
Staff was very friendly attentive.
I think we’ll eat here again tomorrow!
Delicious food. We travel all up and down the east coast and always look for Thia restaurants to eat at. Their Pad Thai was in the top 2 that I've ever had. The kitchen was fast and the waitress was super sweet and helpful. Would absolutely recommend and frequent.
I have been visiting this restaurant for three summer's because of "COVID" it has only been used as a phone in order pick up and take-out place.
Great authentic thai food, attentive service and a locally owned business that had a difficult 3 year dine-in closure during COVID and is worth supporting! Highly recommend for lunch or dinner whether you live in Freeport or are just visiting!
We ate here for a late lunch two days in a row while visiting the Freeport area. The service and food was exceptional. We had the luncheon special the first day and the second day I chose to order a chicken dish off the regular menu. It was more expensive but also significantly more food. Both dishes were great value and nicely presented.
Will definitely return next time we are in the area. My wife is vegetarian and they have an excellent selection of tasty vegetarian options.
Great, attentive service even when it was busy and only one server was available. Food is good, but it's hard to call it authentic. Thai food needs a lot of tamarind, Thai basil, among others, and the food (basil chicken, tom yum, etc) had only a spattering of those things.
The best Thai place I've been to. Their food was hot, delicious, fresh. Staff was very nice. Place was smaller, but very inviting!(Good family atmosphere) If you're ever in the Freeport area and looking for awesome food, I'd suggest this place to anyone!
Drunken Noodle was good and spicy
A terrific surprise that we stumbled on via surrendipity, after finding our first two dining choices closed or unavailable. We were a little worried as we walked in...not many cars in the p-lot or diners in the dining area but we were hungry so continued in. The initial smells upon entering the restaurant were hopeful, a hint of the cuisine to come but none of the strong fryolater grease smell that seems to be present in so many restaurants these days. The staff were cheerful and on it as we entered, and we could overhear a steady stream of incoming takeout orders....good sign. The menu was as expected but not overly long or glossy. We ordered half a dozen items and very soon they started arriving. We taste tested each as they arrived and grew more confident with each that we were about to have a very pleasant and pleasing meal and evening. And we did....
PS: The noodle soup was/is to die for.
Little spot in town to grab what you are looking for.
The food was so delicious and our waiter was great! We were a chatty group and he played right into it. They were super accommodating with food allergies as well! The food also reheats well!
They are just take-out. The food is great and the people are very nice. My son can't get enough of their red curry.
Wife and I drove miles on a recommendation only to find a notice on the door stating take out only for “Covid” cautions. Every other restaurant we know is running normal but not this place. I guess it’s good if you want to eat on your lap in the car or have it cold at home.
Drunken Noodle, vegetable egg roll are excellent. Coconut milk was left out of soup… but we will do their takeout again.
We are visiting from NJ. This Thai Garden Restaurant is Amazing. Nice place, pleasant and friendly service and excellent food. Great variety in the menu and the price is very reasonable. Highly Recommend this Thai Restaurant..
The food was real good and the so was the service.
As a local I want to see all restaurants in town do well, so it pains me to say this. This was the worst meal I’ve had in a long time. It been a few years since we’ve come here and I was so disappointed. My pad see ew and my wife’s pad Thai were so dry and bland it was almost inedible. It almost like they forgot to add the sauce. I never waste food and ended up throwing half my meal away. I suppose we will have to head to Brunswick for Thai.
We had an excellent meal here! Spot on flavors and they accommodated our vegetarian request with no problem. I would absolutely come here again for take out. Super large portions as well.
Best red curry I’ve ever had at any Thai restaurant! Always consistent.
Super delicious, they had plenty of options. Our food came fast and tasted fresh. The sticky jasmine rice was amazing. Their fried dumplings were the best we ever had!
Excellent
Had the duck Pad Thai. Absolutely delicious! I'm definitely eating here next time I'm in the area
Delicious food. Quick service. Usually a monthly visit for my family.
Best dumplings ever!!!
Food was excellent! Service was great! Best Thai food I've had in a long time
Omg, my new favorite place to eat in Freeport (and that's saying something!). Best thai food I've had in over a decade. Literally everything we ordered was incredible, and we tried a lot! The Som Tum was a lot spicier than we expected, and we only ordered a 2, but everything else was perfec ❤️ AND they gave us some free dumplings! I'd give them a 6 out of 5 if I could!
Alway friendly and knowledgeable about dishes that I might accidentally confuse during ordering. Kind, welcoming and fresh and delicious Tom Gha!
Service was great, chicken a little dry.
This was hands down one of the best pad Thai dishes I’ve ever had. I’ve been disappointed a lot lately when ordering pad Thai, but when I took a bite of this dish, I was blown away. It had the best flavor! Just the right amount of tangy peanuty goodness. And the portion was really big. It was gluten free as well. I had to ask them to make it a little bit spicy, they don’t make it spicy unless you request it, which is different than I’m used to them doing on the west coast. I’m in Portland for the next 3-4 months, and I will definitely make the 20 minute drive for this Pad Thai, and to try other dishes. If you’re in Freeport, give them a try!
Wonderful food, always welcoming staff, atmosphere. A must visit if you're in the area
This place is constantly above par. The dumplings and chicken satay skewers with the peanut sauce are to die for. I can't recommend this place enough
Not really impressed with this place. Pineapple Chicken was flavorless, bland at the very least. Pad Thai not too bad. Don't think I will make a second visit.
Food is very tasty.
My wife & I enjoy looking for good food and we found it here!! The service was good & the staff was nice.
We ordered drunken noodle. Trying a new place as this restruant had good Google reviews. The phone conversation was anything but welcoming and the drunken noodle we ordered was unedable I would strongly recommend going anywhere else off of this experience.
Huge portions, fast turn-around.
Currently only doing takeout.
Good food and good service! We went back two nights in a row during our stay in Freeport. Highly recommended.
Everything we ordered lacked any type of flavor- Noodles, fried rice, and satay. The sauces were the only thing that tasted as they should. Not sure if this was because they were wrapping things for the night.
We were visiting from NY for a week and had takeout twice because the whole family loves their food
Excellent food, cho chee curry is unbelievable.
The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. Very fast -from placing order to eating about 10 mins. Would definitely recommend this restaurant!
Don't bother!
Just wonderful food and great people!
If you’re looking for an authentic flavourful food of Thai, I would not recommend this place. If you just want something different outside of your food bubble, then sure, try this place.
We were disappointed in the lack of flavour, preparation and overall meal. It was not worth the price, for example, Trader Joe’s frozen $3.95 orange chicken would be a better choice than their $17 chicken. It seems as if they lost their passion in the restaurant and cooking.
This food is excellent. Best Thai food in the area, easily competes with Thai offerings in Portland.
Really high quality food here. The chicken satay was amazing. I wish I'd tried this restaurant before now!
Best Thai Food! I love their food, and they are always so accommodating and welcoming. I wish I could order Door Dash for my busy nights :)Thank you for feeding our family for years!!!
Been going here for years and everything is always so good. Great service and friendly staff keep me coming back.
Great Food !
Best tasting Thai food in Maine, in my opinion. Authentic. Great, friendly staff.
Great Place to get Katong Tongs!
These guys are always nice and very positive.
Have been stopping there for years ...not sure why I waited to shout out how great they are .
Thumbs up!!
Food tasted like plastic.. probably the worst takeout Thai food I’ve ever had.. service was great though
The food was fine, but the restaurant was silent inside. No music on the ceiling speakers, no audio on the nice large tv. It was rather uncomfortable.
My first Thai food experience was a great one. This will be short, and I need to go fall into a food coma. Very very tasty, clean, fast service, easy to find. I'll be happy to return next time I'm down that way.
Love the food. Big service.
Excellent food! Great service, very clean restaurant. Definately will be dining here again!
Many wonderful dishes to choose from. I had the red curry with duck. Many great pieces duck were included and the sauce and vegetables were wonderful. The thai tea was a perfect complement.
Gave it a try to celebrate my birthday. Peanut sauce was very good, with depth. My wife went with the Pad Thai, and it also had a very good depth of flavor. Everything was fresh. The host/server was phenomenal! We had a good experience, and will most definitely return to try some more items from the menu...
Delicious food, excellent service.
They're great for take out and a nice place to eat-in as well. I really like the dumplings and the fried tofu appetizers. The Pad Thai is tasty as well.
Delicious food and lovely service! A gem of a restaurant!
TASTY FOOD GOOD SERVICE
Great Pad See Ew! Quick service and nice, quiet seating area.
Very good Thai cusine. Worth a repeat visit next time in Maine.
I liked the spring rolls very crispy
Food here was really ,really good!
Good little Thai place.
Vegetable soup is light but flavorful. The peanut sauce is my absolute favorite. Great service too!
We eat here all the time. Food is great, service is quick and everyone is very friendly.
The server was really nice. That's the best thing I can say. The drunken noodles lacked any spice or flavor, and were absolutely the WRONG noodle. I ordered the lunch menu, which came with two veggie dumplings, but they actually contained meat. I didn't even eat half of the portion, it was so disappointing.
This had to be the absolute worst tasting Thai food we ever had. My wife and I are Thai fans and usually will pick a Thai spot if available so when we saw this I was like great Thai for dinner! We sat down and the person gave us water with no ice, I didn't think much of it we ordered. Both of us had drunken noodle she had hers with chicken and I had mine with pork. I asked for it level three spicy and she wanted level two. Food came and I guess here drunken noodle is a narrow noodle? We know it to be a thick noodle and this one came like it had been made in ketchup sauce or something??? Taste was horrible. both dishes had the same level of spice
and then, we noticed everyone else had been getting their water with ice! So after the waitress came by for the third time after we were still eating mind you, then gave us the bill we finally got the hint and realized it was time to go. My wife left more than half of her food I finished mine but I have to say the worst tasting and worst service ever all the people who say this is the best Thai food they ever had you need to come to New York and try some spots any of them will be leaps and bounds better than this place. Its either one of two scenario either we were not welcome here and they gave us horrible service on purpose OR this is truly the worst Thai spot EVA!!!
Best chicken pad Thai I’ve had in New England, so good!!!
Great food, affordable friendly owner and staff
Great food. Awesome customer service.
Awesome food. Great service!
This place has some genuine Thai and it was great. I had the red curry, it tasted great, plenty of flavor and spice. They let you choose the heat level of the hot stuff they put in it, great if you like the dish but may want to adjust the heat. Staff is friendly, very helpful, and considerate. They were working very attentively with a table next to us to make sure their food allergies were accomodated.
Had to travel to Freeport for work and gave Thai Garden a shot and was super surprised to find an incredible dinner. Both myself and my coworkers loved our meals. Can’t believe the place wasn’t jam packed from how good it was.
My favorite restaurant in Freeport. Food is always made fresh and arrives hot and delicious. Staff is courteous and attentive. Highly recommend this small and quaint restaurant on the outskirts of Freeport.
Great food! They can go beyond their spice scale if you request.
Loved the Royal Pad Thai, Crab Fried Rice and the Crispy Duck Panang Curry. Service was prompt and the food came out pretty quick. The Thai Iced Tea was good as well. The place is really clean.
Always good, fresh, and friendly staff.
