Excellent! We have been here many, many times. Every time we go we try to get at least one different dish. They are very consistant with the quality, flavor and portions. Every dish we have ever had tasted freshly made. The picture on the left was taken after the big heaping scoop of rice was put in, but it has alot of sauce, meat, brocolli, mushrooms, and some other stuff. It was super good!

The owner named the resturant Namwan after his grandmother and every receipe is from her collection. Obviously, she was (or is) a great chef because this food is very flavorful. The prices are not bad for the portions you get because technically you can split most portions into two meals. These two dishes and two fountain drinks was $25!

The atmosphere is quiet unless there are alot of people which isnt very typical. That is just because people are typically talking. You can hear others conversations, so it may not be the best place for talking bad. They have a small number of tables because of the size of the place overall, but that was all on purpose, the owner wanted a smaller, relaxed place to enjoy a meal. He accomplished that! The decor on the walls are by local artists and its just another good "mom and pop" place to go.

Pad Thai is fantastic

The food was awesome. We had Sriracha Shrimp, Chicken Pad Thai and Shrimp Pad Khnig. Highly recommend this place.

Good food normally. Had a couple curries and noodle dishes from here recently with very strange flavors and a sandy gritty residue left in to-go boxes and containers. I think I will be taking a break from here and hope it gets resolved.

I have been going here for years and always loved the food. The dine-in area is small and hours of operation have decreased since I first dined there. I eat here when I am in the Youngsville area every month or two. The food was good but not their best. Not sure if it was an off day or a decrease in overall quality. Anyway, I still recommend trying the place out.

I recently found out that the owner of the old Pimon Thai restaurant on Johnston Street in Lafayette owns this place. The gaeng panang with fried catfish was my favorite dish at Pimon Thai, and I had it for the first time in about fifteen years last night. It was still amazing.

Best Thai food I have ever eaten, some really unique items. Service with a smile and the owner is extremely pleasant.

Love the place and wish I could go above the 5 stars.

I had the gaeng dang, red curry, and it was delicious. I definitely want to go back for more. There's not much to say for the atmosphere. It's a very small restaurant with very limited seating but it was nice and quiet. Focus seems to be on to-go orders, so it does not appear that many people sit to eat. Everything was clean. The service was great. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the limited hours. I've been wanting to try the resteraunt for a while, but I have a hard time making it during open hours.

Delicious is an understatement. The order was hot, plentiful, and amazingly good. It got here delivered on time and was steaming. Better than other Thai Lafayette places I've tasted.

Went for lunch for the 1st time 6/14/23. We haven’t eaten Thai in years, and never in Lafayette. Didn’t expect to be blown away, we were prepared for mediocre. This place was far from what we expected! FINALLY!
Service/staff were super nice and the food was incredible. I ordered the drunken noodles….flavor was fantastic! I cannot wait to go back! What a gem in this town!

Always a great experience, whether I call in and pick up or dine in. I suggest calling ahead if you are in rush. Food is cooked as order so sometimes you’ll have to wait. But their food is worth the wait!

Absolutely unprofessional workers. Called in my order was told 15 to 20 minutes which was reasonable. I showed up with two children at 20 minutes and ended up waiting another 25 minutes. Then the employee who told me 15 to 20 minutes told the owner that he told me 45 minutes. Also had many guests walking in the back where the food was being prepped children running through it with no gloves no masks. Was very unsanitary and not very helpful.

This was one of my favorite lunch spots, but after how rudely I was treated today I won't be back. Went in at 12:52 pm and "Zane" says "we close at 1:30" I said "So we can't eat now?" He said, "well you better eat fast cause we leaving at 1:30." Noted Zane. I'll take my money somewhere else where they appreciate it.

Friendly and fast service. Best pad ka prao I've ever tasted in the US so far. Whenever I go to Thailand, I usually order this one same thing almost everyday. After several different Thai restaurants (probably around 10 in different states), I think Namwan nailed it! Loved the prik nam pla too (chopped chili in fish sauce condiment). Tips: If you want to drink just water, get the bottled one.

Well, I love this place. The location and food are primo! But! I felt I needed to say this: their pho, is NOT pho. Not to be rude but I’ve done way better making it myself. This was something I’d expect from a can of Campbell’s. Not from a restaurant. So if you’re looking for authentic, soul-warming pho, don’t stop here. But so far, everything else I’ve had on the menu has been phenomenal, which is why I still rate it 5 star...

the food is good but the owner is really rude. i didn’t really make a complaint i just asked why when i eat there i get a bigger portion of my food but when i order to go it looks like half of what it is when i eat there. if it was really that serious i could have bought two instead of one if i knew the amount. After i spoke the with the owner she was quick to cut me off calling it a complaint kept telling me she’s the owner then hung up on me. That wasn’t funny but i laughed because tao asian cuisine has good phat to. i only get my phat thai here because it’s closer to where i work but i don’t mind going a extra mile for better service. thank you

Remarkable food for the Location and the Price. The food is as good or better than Thai places all over the country. The ingredients are very fresh, the curry is totally authentic. It get's crowded because it's small, but it's like every dish is hand crafted. I never had anything bad there, I tried just about everything on the menu.
