Judy and Stephanie were the best servers! All of the food was so delicious and full of flavor. Food came out fast and the staff were friendly. My favorite dishes were the red curry and Tom yum ramen noodle soup. The cheesecake with fresh fruit on was also out of this world. I’ll be back for happy hour.
If you’re looking for authentic Thai cuisine, this is the place to go! I recently dined here and was blown away by the flavors.
I had the papaya salad, seafood tom yum soup, and beef noodle soup—all of them were absolutely delicious. The papaya salad had the perfect kick of spice that left me wanting more. The beef noodle soup(Nam Tok)was a standout for me; the broth was incredibly rich and full of flavor. As for the tom yum, it was everything it should be: perfectly balanced with sour, spicy, and savory notes, loaded with fresh seafood.
I also appreciate how the photos on their website and reviews truly reflect the quality and authenticity of their dishes. They show exactly what you’re going to get, which is rare and so helpful.
Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving real Thai flavors!
This is the best Thai food I’ve ever had. We order papaya salad, fried chicken (which comes with their special sauce with a unique flavor), Tom yum ramen soup, basil fried rice. Everything is very flavorful and yummy 😋. The service is beyond expectations. They smile all the time and make me feel very comfortable! Thank you very much!
Food here is actually so incredible and the seafood is so fresh!! We were visiting New Orleans for a quick weekend and Thai food always picks me up after a night of drinking so I found this place through the Google reviews. I came to add my review because the food was THAT good and I would highly recommend this spot. We had the Shrimp Pad Thai, Chicken Yellow Curry, Papaya Salad and Crispy Spring Rolls. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the shrimp was so fresh and well seasoned and the papaya salad was phenomenal. The Pad Thai was my favorite and as a Thai food lover, I can confidently say this is one of the top I’ve ever had!! This was a restaurant highlight for our trip!
We ate here while in town for an NFL game and had a great time! The owner was there working and talking to guests, even helping with tables!! Family owned business and the recipes come directly from Thailand. Legitimately the best Pad Thai I’ve ever had in my entire life!! We came back the next morning before lunch before flying out, really hope this place gets all the success it deserves!
If you are staying in the middle of downtown French quarter and are having a hankering for some Thai. You should def check this place out out. I honestly don’t think anything on the menu could be mistake to get. This coming from someone who just ate some fried spring rolls and spicy crab noodles. It was actually that good.
This little gem in the middle of New Orleans serves some of the best curry and cocktails I have ever had. The fried oysters and sweet chili sauce were a great starter. The red curry with shrimp was flavorful with just the right amount of heat. Finished with some delicious sweet mango sticky rice. Just be mindful of how spicy things are. My aunt ordered the cashew chicken with an icon of one pepper. It wound up being more like a three pepper. The server kindly switched out the dish for the yellow curry, which was less intense. I recommend asking to taste the sauces before ordering if you are concerned about the heat intensity level. Overall great food, service, and environment directly across from the Hilton Garden Inn/French Quarter. If you are staying at this hotel, would highly recommend if you don't want to walk far, Uber, or drive.
Great lunch. Owner stopped by and said hello
. Food was spectacular. Crispy whole sea bass and the seafood fried rice have particularly good flavor.
Superb seafood at this Thai restaurant at the city center! Excellent presentation delicious food! Unforgettable experience!!
Food is so amazing
Amazing restaurant. Authentic time with a family vibe. Recommended while in NOLA!
It’s easy to get fooled in the Big Easy but this place is not joking. As someone who appreciates Thai food and travels a lot this place is easily on par with the very best places that I have frequented. Excellent food and warm service blocks from Bourbon St. Ditch the horrible fast food culture and tourist traps and have a great low key meal.
The worst place without a doubt to order food, I ordered my food to go and did not go there until 20 minutes had passed, when I arrived at the place I found that my food had not even been prepared and I had to wait more than an hour, THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITHOUT A DOUBT, I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT, THEY ARE SHORT IN PROVIDING GOOD SERVICE
I placed a pick up order for a VEGETARIAN meal and I double checked with the person giving me my order that it was all vegetarian. She said yes. Got home to find out that it’s all shrimp.
They are refunding me but I’m also going hungry thanks to them. LIKE DOUBLE CHECK FOR REAL!
I’m so glad I came in tonight specifically — today was the debut of their new Beef Short Rib Khao Soi Udon and it was *spectacular* — soooo gooood! The mango sticky rice was also wonderful, as were the staff. Seems like a truly good bunch of people here, and the food couldn’t have been better.
A wonderful locally owned business. The flavors in the food are authentic and perfectly balanced. We have quite a few Thai restaurants in the city but Good Catch wins it for me. Pomelo is their other restaurant which is incredible also. We had the pot stickers, nam tok moo, glass noddles pad Thai with scallops and shrimp, green curry with chicken and scallops and clams with udon noodles. Each dish was incredible with their own flavors that popped. They have an awesome happy hour every day. Please come support this local business and you won’t be disappointed. The food is absolutely incredible!
Fantastic Thai- they cater to allergies and really enjoyed the atmosphere and service. Had a wuick trip to NOLA but ate there twice!
My friends and I ended up stuck in New Orleans for five days because of a crazy snowstorm. We were all craving some delicious Thai food, and finally, we found a spot that totally hit the spot! The food was amazing.
Outstanding experience! The food and drinks were amazing and the owners/staff were even better! I cannot recommend
Good Catch | Thai Urban Bistro enough!
Super nice bartender, fantastic cocktails and classic cocktails made the right way. Food is so good too, not too greasy like most Thai places. Come here!
I ordered online for food delivery to my hotel, while on business trip. I do not have a car so I was super disappointed to receive the order and it did not come with rice. I ordered Chicken Green Curry, how am I to eat this without rice? I also requested an extra order of rice and they gave me a small scoop, like tablespoon of sticky rice. How am I to eat this without rice. I called them and all they can offer is to refund for the rice. Never order from this restaurant. I called and they cannot deliver the rice that comes with and the side of rice I ordered.
Buyer beware. Don't trust the ordering for delivery.
Once and Done, every going back to this place.
The food is good, however my husband asked no spicy, but the fish was hot and spicy , so he couldn't eat it. I didn't like that almost all plates are broken, restroom is not clean and the waitress's table with all forks and spoons stays exactly in front of the women’s restroom, which is not the best place to keep them clean. I
Food is super fresh and authentic. It reminds us the good time in Thailand! Vibe is great, service is great. Everything is on the point.
Nice place with OK food.
The BEST pad thai I have ever had! Pair with their signature frozen mojito for pure perfection! Chefs kiss.
Everything was really yummy. We tried the basil eggplant, pad kee mao, tom kha, and laab salad.
It was Jan 1, the day the city suffered a heinous terrorist attack. So we were grateful this place was open and could take us as walk ins. Lots of tables arrived at once. It got a bit hectic but the staff pulled through and was very friendly throughout.
Highly recommend.
Hard for me to describe how GOOD the food here is. We went in on new years and immediately knew it would be good. The owner was walking around introducing himself and was super friendly. We sat at the bar and the bartender was AMAZING! She was so nice and so hardworking. Our food was so good in fact, we went back the next night and it was equally as satisfying. We had drunken noodles, Pad Thai, and Panang curry. If we had more time in New Orleans I would eat there until we tried everything on the menu!!!! 10/10 recommend.
One of the best Thai places I’ve ever been to. Service was excellent and very attentive, and the food was SO delicious! My favorite dish was the Pad Thai with chicken. Also thoroughly enjoyed the Panang curry with tofu. And for dessert, the mango sticky rice was delicious! If you are craving Thai food, come to this restaurant!!!
our family spent christmas eve here - our first visit. the service was beyond excellent. restaurant is owned by a couple - the husband spent his time helping the staff and visiting every table.
timing was a bit off as far as food, but this was not because of poor service; and it definitely is not a dealbreaker for us. i imagine it was due to perfecting each dish because the food was unique and delicious. if you enjoy spicy food, you should definitely visit! they have options that are not spicy as well.
the staff and owners at good catch are most definitely customer centered. please treat yourself and support this local establishment!
They have a dedicated Vegetarian Menu! Excellent food and very good people!
Very tasty Thai food. Great service.
Adding to the many 5 star reviews for this restaurant! We ate here Christmas Day evening and could not have had a more fantastic experience! The flavors of the dishes were balanced and each dish was well executed. One of our party has Celiac and cannot tolerate one tiny fleck of gluten. The chef came to our table to discuss dinner options with this guest and our friend was amazed with the dish the kitchen created. The servers are attentive and knowledgable, the atmosphere is colorful and fun! I highly recommend Good Catch!
Wonderful evening on Christmas Day. Food was delicious, service was perfect and the owner was very attentive. 10 out of 10!!
Had an amazing dinner here, highly recommend! Great flavor shift from the Cajun heavy options in town. You won't regret it!
Did a quick take out for dinner and everything that we got was pretty good. The spicy garlic crab noodles could have been better. But the lump crab fried rice and the pad see ew were really good. Will definitely be a spot on my list in NO. Prices and portions were decent for the location I think.
Biggest surprise of our New Orleans trip, as the Thai food near me locally is normally just alright. This place blew those places out of the water.
Favorite dishes - excellent basil eggplant (shrimp). Glass noodle pad thai w shrimp scallop was also fantastic, as well as the clay pot noodles. Panang curry (chicken) was pleasant.
Boat noodles and tom kha soups were ok, not bad, but wouldn't order again.
Service was decent as well, although they did seem to get a bit overwhelmed with lunch walk-ins sometimes and had to work a bit to get their attention.
Would definitely come back here on a return visit to the city.
We ate here while in town for an NFL game and had a great time! The owner was there working and talking to guests, even helping with tables!! This is a fabulously authentic Thai restaurant. I ordered Tom kah, a spicy salmon sushi appetizer, and a pork salad. All three were outstanding. Great happy hour specials on about ten food items plus drinks. Ambiance is lovely. The owner stopped over to say hi as I waited for my take out. Highly recommended.
The eggplant stir fry with crab was amazing, great service.
Susie is so sweet. Amazing food and drinks
It’s really amazing!!
My husband and I are from maryland and love thai food so we were pretty intrigued by a Seafood specialty thai place. Good Catch was truly incredible. We ordered the Tom Yum soup after a recommendation from the owner, Ken, the Mii Kiew with Crab and the Pad See Ew with fried catfish. We were throughly impressed with everything we ate.
Good green curry, nice staff, good music!
We went here because it was close and we were very travel-tired. We had no expectations other than basic sustenance. The food was FANTASTIC! Everything we ate was full of flavor. Highly recommend,
The yellow curry is very good
This restaurant is incredible. My dad & I randomly ended up here and were blown away. The flavors were fantastic, the food was clean and healthy, and the owners were very friendly. 10/10 experience. Highly recommend!

Delicious!
Great Thai kitchen. Very authentic. The green papaya salad is great. Also nice cocktails.
I ordered red chicken curry, thai boat noodle, seafoods ramen is was way to sweet !!! The only thing that tasted ok is the jumbo lumps carb fried rice
First time in New Orleans, recommended by a friend, service excellent, food excellent and atmosphere relaxed and extremely welcoming, will come again on my next visit for the city
An amazing restaurant. The food is amazing and super authentic. It tastes fresh and lively. Order family style and share to get a great blend of flavors. The fried oysters, summer rolls, eggplant curry, and whole fried fish were phenomenal. I also had the salmon tsuke, which was one of the best dishes I've ever had.
Recommended if you looking for authentic Thai food!👍🏽
Top 2 best Thai restaurants I've ever been too. Mocktails on the menu and amazing service.
This Thai bistro featuring Louisiana gulf seafood is a winning combination! (Chicken, Beef & Vegetarian also offered). This beautiful restaurant in New Orleans' CBD provides personal, attentive service, a large & varied menu, and great execution of every dish we tried (Red Curry with chicken; Crab Fried Rice; Tom Yum Ramen with Seafood Medley; Spring Rolls, Wontons, and Salmon from the Raw Bar! Soups, salads, raw bar, extensive Vegetarian options and full bar with some unique Thai-influenced cocktails also offered. Everything we had was fantastic. Happy Hour worth checking out. Highly recommended!
Truly authentic Thai food served by exceptionally warm and hospitable people. We had the crispy springrolls, potstickers, Panang curry and stir fry with Thai chilli and cashews. Deep flavors and tender-crisp vegetables. Highly recommend this spot in the CBD!
They must improve the descriptions on the menu. Some indication of the level of spicy, and allergens should be visible.
I dined here with my family and ordered the Pok Pok Noodle, Ayutthaya Boat Noodle, and Yellow Curry. Be warned: the dishes are much spicier than expected, with no indication on the menu. The portions of beef, pork, and shrimp were disappointingly small for the price, and the curry fell below our expectations. Additionally, the food didn't match the appetizing photos seen in reviews. I suggest saving your money and looking elsewhere.
My husband I came here for lunch while we were visiting New Orleans. (We absolutely love thai food)
The food was delicious!! My husband got the pad Thai, and I got the green curry with pork shoulder. If it wasn't rude, I would have licked the bowl! This was absolutely the best food experience we've had since we've been here!
One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to. The dishes are authentic, flavourful, and reasonably priced. The owners and staff are so nice!
I absolutely love this restaurant! The service was excellent, and every dish we ordered was delicious! I accidentally ordered a spicy dish, and the manager noticed that it was a bit too much for me. They kindly offered a complimentary bowl of soup to help with the spiciness, which was such a thoughtful gesture. I’ve already recommended this place to my friends!
I recently discovered the best Thai restaurant in New Orleans (other than its sister restaurant, Pomelo, on Magazine Street). I found out about Good Catch through an Instagram post by Chef Aom on her Pomelo Restaurant page. I thought, if Pomelo is that excellent, Good Catch must be worth trying. I had lunch there today, and it did not disappoint!
My boyfriend and I ordered Clams with Basil Chili Sauce, Moo Thod Jim Jaew, and Spicy Salmon Tsuke for our appetizers. If you visit Good Catch, be sure to order any of their seafood signature dishes. We tried the Glass Noodle Pad Thai with Gulf Shrimp and Scallops, as well as the Seafood Tom Yum Ramen.
You can’t go to a Thai restaurant without ordering Thai tea—it's a must! I forgot to take a picture of our drinks, but I promise they were much better than what you find at other boba places.
Chef Aom and the staff were fantastic. They ensured we had everything we needed, and our food came out quickly.
I would definitely return to Good Catch. If you enjoy it, make sure to visit Pomelo next—you won’t be disappointed!
Really authentic and delicious menu! Great service. Great location. Loved everything!
Food was good, nothing super special. Wait staff were wonderfull and kind.
Wonderful food and service!
absolutely amazing dishes for takeout, ordered from them some classics a couple of times and was always satisfied
Everything was absolutely perfect! They have an amazing happy hour on food and drinks that goes into 6:30pm. Everything was really delicious and portions were HUGE. Staff was very attentive and made everyone feel at home. The owner and general manager chatted with us and made us feel really special. You must come here if you're in New Orleans!
Quick in and out dinner before the Thursday night football 🏈 game. I highly recommend.
family visit. We eat a lot in Thai restaurants. Our opinion was the that the food was prepared using off the shelf ingredients instead of fresh made, and a little too greasy. Good drinks menu, - reasonable. Service was very good. Friendly atmosphere. Just wished the food was better.
Not as good as expected. Dishes we order are over salted!
My husband and I had the Red Curry with Tofu, the Summer Rolls, Thai iced Teas and The "Ocean Treasures" seafood dish. Everything was wonderful! Super friendly and helpful staff. Everything was fresh, full of spice and flavor! Lychees in the Red Curry were a treat. 10/10 recommend!
We came in about 1.5 hour before they closed on a Friday night and had the best time! We sat at the bar and chatted with the bartender a little. Drinks were on point 🤌. Their drink specials are creative and smooth. Ordered the pot stickers, green curry with shrimp (those shrimpies were huge!), and a seafood ramen special. Everything was so good. Spice levels were just right but if you like it spicy ask for them to go heavy (we did and we think they under estimated us).
All in all excellent spot. Cozy but vibey but homey with kickass service.
The servers were friendly, and we enjoyed our appetizers. I asked if there were shells on the shrimp in my dish. She said no, but the shrimp was head-on and tail on. It was also a gummy weird texture like it was old. I removed the shrimp entirely, and my dish was tasty. We were also charged for an item that I did not ask for.
Food was descent. But the drinks was amazing, service and hospitality was great. It's one of the few restaurants that offered great service.
Food was authentic. But it wasn't really enough though. Left still hungry. But great experience. I'll order something different next time.
Amazing Thai place, super cute and soup was OUT OF THIS WORLD.
The food has a dry authentic taste and the service is top tier. Drink are decently priced offering happy hour specials. Over all I give them a 10 out of 10 and absolutely a 5 star rating! Their bar tender Judy is the absolutely best!!!!❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely wonderful dining experience. The food was amazing, service was top-notch and the staff was very friendly! Beat Panang Curry I’ve had.
Good food, good service, friendly staff, nice atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Definitely recommended if you're in the mood for Thai food while in the area.
Great vibes, music, and of course the food! Everything was amazing, and especially nice for vegetarians. We were visiting from out of town and wanted to try some Thai food, and couldn’t have picked a better spot! Would definitely recommend to everyone!
The food is very bad and the fish is very old we don't really care about charging 20% on 5 of us if the food is good 😒
so sorry for thai food just because this restaurant open on Monday.
This is American style not recommend for Thai style.
Seriously the nicest staff we came across on our trip to NOLA. I got pad thai and bf got curry. Both plates were delicious, wish they had more dessert options though! The place was so big and menu was straightforward with great options.
Probably the worst thai food I've ever had. Both the basil fried rice and pad see ew were unrecognizable disasters. Even the spring rolls were awful. Everything was just salt flavored, not sure if any Thai ingredients were used.
I would have returned this to the kitchen if I hadn't got it to-go.
Huge slap to face considering the extra high prices. Plus, they forgot an item I ordered.
Honestly, there might've been a problem in the kitchen considering the other good reviews. Whoever was working in there mid day should be fired, it was that bad.
I live next door and use to order from this place frequently. But as each week went by the portions got smaller and smaller! Due to the new tiny portions, this restaurant is way over priced.
I asked for extra onions and boy did they deliver #blessed
The appetizers and drinks were good. We got the Tom kha soup and the spicy wontons. For dinner, We got the clay pot gulf shrimp and the pad ki mao with shrimp. The clay pot gulf shrimp had a lot of whole peppercorns that had to be picked out. The shrimp for both dishes weren’t cleaned. This may be a cultural difference that I’m not aware of and is my fault for not recognizing but I find it hard to eat the poop shoot of other animals. The shrimp still had small legs on them that mixed with our noodles and had to be fished out or were an unwelcomed texture. The waitress couldn’t remember our order and originally brought us the wrong appetizer and to top it all off, there is no sign warning you to watch your step when exiting… heads up, there’s a step down. Considering this place has good reviews, I’m hoping it’s a one off but still recommend putting a sign on the door as you leave to watch your step.
Fantastic meal at Good Catch! We had 9 people for the summertime Coolinary menu.
We ended up getting three "sets" of food (each set with three entrees plus dessert), several appetizers (fresh rolls, spring rolls, edamame, bok choy) and a pad thai. Everyone loved every dish, no bad options! We agreed it was the best Thai food we've had in New Orleans.
They also have a full bar, and an extensive menu with a wide variety of options including a lot of seafood. And the staff was very helpful and attentive.
Great place. Wonderful food. Super wait staff. Manager stopped by to talk with us. Nice nice nice. Next time back to NOLA we're going there again.
The Pad Thai was my favorite and as a Thai food lover, I can confidently say this is one of the top I’ve ever had!! This was a restaurant highlight for our trip!
We had a wonderful time there last night. The staff was great - friendly, jovial, attentive, and went above and beyond. The food was incredible! The salmon appetizer was amazing, as was everything else we ordered. We were only disappointed in that they were out of the pandan mille crepe, but we'll get that next time! We also got the spicy clams, the pot stickers, the red curry with shrimp, and the green curry with scallops. The Thai tea was delicious, as was the ginger beer. Everything was top notch. I can't wait to go back!
The food was flavorful but the ingredients weren't quite right. I am Thai and I wouldn't call this an authentic Thai cuisine. My Pad Ka Pao came with bamboo shoots, long beans, and green peppercorn which I wouldn't expect in this dish at all. Also it didn't look anything like the picture on their menu, except for the fried egg on top of the rice. My other dish, the crispy catfish fillets, came a bit salty (supposed to be plain) and the dipping sauce with mango was just sweet (supposed to be green sour mango and savory souce). Overall, the meal could sooth Thai-ish Asian taste buds but not to the extent that I'd call authentic. If I return, I might try other dishes instead as they might be more authentic Thai.
A friend recommended this place, and it lived up to the hype. The Khao Soi Udon and the cashew nut sir fry (tofu) were excellent.
Excellent flavors.
Myself and a group of coworkers have tried this place several times and every time is more disappointing than the last.
The service is very slow and every time we've come they bring the orders out separately so you either start eating without everyone or wait for the rest of the table while your food gets cold.
The first time we went, I ordered the crispy catfish with spicy mango salad. If you look at the online menu it shows a picture of the dish but the inhouse menu does not. Had I seen the picture, I definitely wouldn't have ordered this. For $17.00 you get a piece of fish on some iceberg lettuce. The mango "salad" was not in fact a salad but more like a small portion of mango salsa rather than a salad. I will say the fish was very tasty but I was highly disappointed that this was not in fact a salad and more of an appetizer.
The next time our group tried Good Catch one of the people at our table found a hair in her pad see ew. When she told the server about it the server just took the dish away and never communicated what was happening. After some time had passed we had to call the waitress over and clarify that they were in fact making her a fresh dish.
Today, 2 of the three dishes came out severely behind the first dish. I was left eating basically alone while the other two people at the table waited patiently for their food.
When the second order did arrive, it was missing the fried egg on top so again my friend still couldn't start eating. Finally the egg and the final person at our table received her pad see ew. It looked very different from the other times she has ordered the dish. This time it came out with a pile of sugar on the side and the waitress couldn't really explain why the dish was so much different than the other times it had been ordered.
Bottom line, we've given this place many chances and they have yet to hit the mark. Save your money and frustrations and try somewhere else.
I recently attended a home party while in New Orleans and the event was catered by a terrific team from Good Catch. Everyone couldn't stop raving about the wonderful food and presentation of all the passed bites.
One of my favorites were the dumplings -- just to die for -- I kept sneaking more! We also had some delicious main dishes including shrimp and scallops Pad Thai, Eggplant and Pork, and a yummy sweet and spicy yellow curry! Dessert was fresh mango over sticky rice although I had to skip it because I was just too full from all those dumplings!!!
The catering team was fun, cheerful, and did a wonderful job of cleaning up and taking care of the leftovers.
Thank you Good Catch for helping to make this special celebration a huge success!
Amazing creations and good service
Amazing food and experience!
Was a guest at a catered party recently and the entire experience was amazing. Everything from the hand passed appetizers , main courses to dessert was divine. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Staff was gracious and professional.
Can’t wait to visit the restaurant!
The wonderful folks at Good Catch just did a magnificent in-home catering job for a special celebration at my friend's house in New Orleans.
One of the passed dishes was fabulous sushi on seaweed wrap! It was beautiful.
Other dishes were passed on cute little individual plates, not on napkins.
The main dishes were in handsome chafing dishes that held Pad Thai, with shrimp and scallops, Eggplant and Pork , and a sweet and spicy yellow curry with all of the accompaniments.
Dessert was fresh mango over sticky rice.
Everything was beautifully fresh ( I live in FL....I know fresh seafood ) and elegantly presented.
Every person was always smiling and very focused on taking care of us.
Their clean up was superb and so were the leftovers we had for lunch the next day.
Five stars all the way around.
Anyone would be delighted to have them cater an event in their home.
I wished they had a restaurant in Pensacola!
After going to the Good Catch for dinner we decided to have them cater a very special event at our house. We could not have been happier. The food, the service... everything was fantastic. Aom and her staff totally delivered. The party was a huge hit thanks to them. They did passed appetizers, and a wonderful selection of entrees . I could not have been happier. My friends are still talking about it. Thank you Aom and staff!! Looking forward to seeing y'all again soon.
Good Catch catered our house party. Everything was perfect. All the food (and we had alot) was delicious. The presentation was perfect and the staff was professional and a dream to work with. Do yourself a favor. Ten stars!!!!!
Delicious food and great service.
Curry is very watery but overall food is good.
Stopped in because it was next door to where I was staying. To my surprise, it was great. Atmosphere, food, and drink. The wontons were the best I had and the frozen mojito was on point. Happy hour prices were very reasonable
Amazing food and by far the best curry I've ever had. My wife is of Asian backround and enjoyed the authentic food. Food was fast service wonderful, and the lunch special made me feel like I was robbing the place. This is now a new orleans spot when we're in town.
Amazing experience at Good Catch. We were spending one night and looking for a quick bite and happy hour. It was raining and this spot is directly across the street from Hilton Garden Inn French Quarter. The food was amazing. Frankie greeted us and was so kind to give is recommendations and a short backstory on how the resturant came to be. Our server was attentive and fast. I recommend the Spicy Wontons and the Thai Mule. Both were soooo good. If you're looking for something different try the Golden Bee, made by Judy.
This is the best Thai food I have had outside of Thailand. I went with my daughter but took food home to my husband who is from India, he agreed, best anyplace
The cocktails were also amazing.
Ken, the manager is so kind and hospitable. Make crazy good cocktails. Also the best ever. The decor is simple but calming and pleasant. The restaurant was very clean and we had a really good time. Exploring our amazing food and drinks was so fun, and, wow, just good!
Deeee-licous!!!! I had the mixed seafood yellow curry, and let me tell you it was AMAZING! I scraped the bowl clean. The service was excellent and the ambiance was nice. I didn't find this place until the last day of my New Orleans trip or I would have gone back many times.
Omg delicious Thai food. Super authentic..
Cocktails are to die for 10/10 will return!
Great place and great food. Highly recommended!
The food was amazing! Very authentic and great value for price point.
Adore this place. I came twice while down, scoping out future apartments, and now that we've moved to the area we've stopped by again and the food and drinks are always to die for alongside the sweetest servers!
It appears that in NOLA, there are fewer authentic Asian restaurant options. However, this Thai restaurant exceeded our expectations. We visited during dinner and ordered a papaya salad, crab fried rice, and a shrimp clear noodle clay pot. The salad and fried rice were quite good, though a piece of hot pepper in the salad was excessively spicy, causing me to drink a lot of water. The shrimp clear noodle clay pot elicited mixed reactions. The shrimp were fresh, tasty, and perfectly cooked, though the dish could have benefited from one or two more shrimp. The clear noodles, however, were challenging due to the abundance of Sichuan peppercorns, making the dish hard to chew and swallow. Constantly spitting out the peppercorns was inconvenient, and using ground pepper instead would significantly improve the dish. Despite a recent price hike and the issue with the peppercorns, the overall experience was more than satisfactory.
Good Catch is a great place for real deal Thai food. Everything we tried was spot on and perfectly spiced. Pad Krapow, Glass Noodle Pad Thai, Salmon Tsuke are a few of the must haves. Service was awesome and the setting great once your inside. Don't be turned off because it's across the street from a Hilton parking garage. The the only suggested change I have for the restaurant is to fix the background music - it didn't seem to match the vibe. Cheers!
Good place for a quick lunch. I ordered a curry made with udon noodles and it was amazing. Fresh and flavorful with a little spice. Service was quick and kind, pricing was good for the amount and quality of food received. Thank you!
While the restaurant looked nice, the two dishes I tried were the worst "Thai" versions I've ever had in or outside of Thailand. Nam Tok Muu was precooked dry pieces of pork belly without the lime, fish sauce and chili that make the dish. The PhadSeeYuu used the wrong dry rice noodles, weren't even boiled long enough, and had bokchoy and carrots instead of Chinese broccoli. I should have known something was wrong when I walked in on father's day and only two other tables were filled. Maybe it was an off day since I went because of the high rated reviews but it was a horrible meal to spend $50 on with so many great restaurants in the area.
Coming from someone who has high standards for (Thai) Food, incredibly fresh ingredients and very authentic Thai taste. The shrimp and scallops on the pad thai were 🤤🤤 RARE find in Louisiana.
The owner is also incredibly kind and friendly. She deserves all the success. DON’T miss out on this if you are in NOLA.
Absolutely loved the experience here, great vibes, very friendly staff, food that was out efficiently and tasted absolutely amazing. By far my favorite restaurant I have been to while here
I recently visited Good Catch's sister restaurant, Pomelo, and was so impressed that I had to try Good Catch as well. I was not disappointed. The service was exceptionally fast, and the food was outstanding, contrary to some of the negative reviews. Each dish was colorful and bursting with flavor! We enjoyed the Salmon Tsuke, chicken tom yum soup, lump crab stir-fry ramen, whole fried fish, and spicy clams. Every bite was a delight, and I was completely satisfied by the end of the meal. The peach tea and cheesecake provided a refreshing finish. The owner, Aom, is incredibly sweet and kind, and she truly deserves a five-star rating. It’s a must try in New Orleans.
Three stars for solidly mids Thai food.
This was my second experience with Thai food, and I was certainly not disappointed. I will definitely be back especially for their Happy Hour (chalkboard at the restaurant says 4:30 to 6:30 pm). I dined in and sat at the bar. The bartender (Arno) was lovely and provided excellent customer service. I ordered the Fried Calamari to start. I ordered the Glass Noodle Pad Thai with Gulf Shrimp and Scallops as my main. I also ordered the Margarita off of the Happy Hour drink menu. The portions were generous and delicious!
Excellent…have the fried sea bass delicious
Excellent service, incredibly delicious food, spacious dining area
Great food, and great service! Got the scallops in green curry and chicken tom kha. Both were delicious!
It’s great thai food especially they have thai seafood sauce upon request which most thai people love this sauce 🥰 the cocktail is incredible. delicious. Many choices for food selection on the menu. Our server is great as well. Food are very good as well i love how fresh of the crab and big chunk of it. I would go back again for more food to try.
I had the pork shoulder pad Thai, it was... only alright, to my tastes.
But they were still willing to serve us 25 minutes before they closed, so I appreciate that.
Great place! The seafood was very yummy.
Service was fantastic! Food was fresh and delicious! Restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated!
The staff here was so friendly and attentive. Loved the lowkey music and comfy vibe. The seared scallop green curry was amazing as was the southern yellow curry. Mango sticky rice to top it off was incredible. Will definitely be back next time I am in town!
Comfortable modern atmosphere, excellent and very friendly service, and the food was IN-CREDIBLE. Waiter showed us pics of his cat, so cutie!!
5/5 Could not have had a better experience. We recommend the yellow and green seafood curries and the mango sticky rice! 😁😁
Just had dinner here. The seafood dishes were fabulous! I'm a local and will be back!
Food was great and portions were large! The chilis in the papaya salad were SO HOT in a good way, and the lychee spritz and drunken noodles were both fantastic. I’ve never had Thai tea but it was really good - reminded me of matcha.

Staff was very friendly and manager checked couple of times on the drinks and also on the food
Clean restrooms too
Great food and great service. Will definitely be back.
Fantastic food and service. Music and atmosphere were great as well. The salmon tsuke was amazing.
Every meal our group ordered was phenomenal. Yellow curry chicken was the best I ever had!! And you have to try the pan don for dessert
We have been to Thailand and have many very good Thai restaurants in Australia. This New Orleans restaurant is mingling with the best. Flavours are well balanced, quality of food is great, service is pleasant, efficient, and unobtrusive. Decor and environment promote a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for companionable dining.
Great experience at this calm spot! Friendly and professional staff serving deliciously flavorful well cooked food in a casual yet nice setting.
Great, great food. If you have not tried it, please do. We want to keep this place open.
Good little spot away from Bourbon Street. Food can come out slow if you're with a big group. Food was good though. Nice for a quick dinner without having to deal with crowds.
This is the best meal we have had yet in NOLA. We will definitely be back maybe even tomorrow! Very complex and delicious flavors!
We have spent 5 days in New Orleans so far and the food has always been great, this place though is our favorite by far. We waited literally seconds before being seated, in fact we barely waited for any of our food and drinks. The flavors are authentic, the portions are huge, the atmosphere is easy and welcoming, and the prices are some of the best we have seen in New Orleans. The owners came to our table and genuinely spoke to us several times. Do yourself a favor and stop here!
Cold and tiny egg roll, seafood still cold inside and a bit mushy, relatively tasteless noodles, I had to ask for a lunch menu, they wouldn’t let me sit along the wall on a more comfortable seat despite being almost totally empty because “those are for larger parties”, totally disappointed compared to what I expected based on other reviews here.
I love this place. The food is out of this world delicious. I think we've been here 4 times in the last 2 months. So good!
Tom Kha Gai was excellent. Pad Kraprao chicken had good flavor but questionable quality of chicken. I asked if it was minced like the pork and told yes. It was actually sliced and kind of weird. The vegetables with it were really good.
The ice tea machine needs to be cleaned.
Service was friendly if unfamiliar with the menu.
I’m probably just too picky though.
Everything we ate here was amazing! Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!
Great food and great hosts with very reasonable prices. Will be returning.
