This is absolutely the best Thai food that I’ve had outside of Thailand and it's very authentic. I’m obsessed with the green curry, larb, green papaya salad, and tom yum soup. The whole menu is fantastic and everything is always perfectly seasoned. The owners are lovely as well. 10/10!
I ordered the #4 Chicken Sa-Tay (pictures 1 & 2 the peanut butter sauce is very flavorful) & the #35 Gaeng Daeng (w/ pork as meat choice - photos 5 & 6), My friends ordered the #1 Curry Puff (no photo) & #20 Pad Priaw Waan (photos 3 & 4) and Spring Rolls (no photo) & #60 Pad Ke-Mao (w/ chicken as meat choice - photos 7 & 8) ... All orders were placed with 'Thai Hot' as the level of heat!
We all shared the appetizers and they were all good. All the main courses were tasty & filling while the level of heat was NOT overpowering the flavors of the meat & vegetables in the entrée. I recommend that you stop in and give this place a try next time you can't make up your mind or are looking for something different from the normal fast food routine.
Amazing Thai Food!
I've been here a good amount of times, and the food is consistently delicious! I almost always get the "Beef Pad See Ew," Medium Spicy, and it comes out great every time.
The restaurant is owned and ran by a Thai Family. The quality of service and delicious food are truly a blessing for the Fort Polk area.
Don't forget to add Thai Tea to your order, it's amazing as well!
This was recommended to me by someone that used to be stationed here. The food was lacking flavor and spices that you normally get when ordering Thai food. The prices are high compared to the portion size. I was just still hungry after I ate and I usually have enough for two meals at other places. The place looked run down and was a bit dirty. I couldn’t see the kitchen so I was skeptical how clean that place was. He staff seemed put off when I showed up like they were about to close but they were opened for another hour. I never retured and I was TDY here for a month. Disappointing!
Puff pastry Curry was not a puff pastry. It was wrapped with wanton wrapper. Pad thai was kot good. Definitely the papaya salad was gross. Not worth it for the money we pay.
We order take out from here and they’re by far the best restaurant in town. Always great food, full of flavor and perfectly priced.

The best prices for good food in Leesville Louisiana
Love this little mom and pop restaurant. Only one of a few good places to eat at Leesville! Been coming here for years. Better than any fast food restaurant and some called-so restaurants in the area. You will not regret eating here.
Clean, and our hostess was so nice. Our first day stationed here, and we left with no complaints. Definitely will be back! The food was great! So many options.
My friends and I try to eat here at least once a month. We try a new dish every time and have not been disappointed yet!
Awesome food, friendly people, never takes long to get your food either.
I absolutely love this place, I'm not a big fan of Thai food, and that's the only reason I didn't put the rating higher. I would die for the employees. Amazing service. Update; I went again and I had another great time, the man at the front desk showed me how to eat the food properly. I would still take a bullet for anyone who works here.
I’ve had Thai many times from many places. This is second to the worst experience I’ve had. I’ll start with the chicken. It was old tasting like they’d cooked it way in advance and held it in the fridge. I noticed this as well at teriyaki wok in town. I bought the red curry soup. It was thin and lacking in depth as far as flavor is concerned. I’ve tried this place twice and had the same experience both times. First time I ordered the Pad Thai. Same thing old chicken and no flavor depth. Go to Shreveport if you want Thai or Vietnamese.
A coworker and I stopped here a few weeks ago. We enjoyed the hospitality/service and the food. Pad Thai, spring rolls and the Fisherman's soup were the items I tried. I highly recommend this spot and look forward to trying other entrees in the future.
I had the Pad thai, and it was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this place for Thai food. Worth every penny!
My go to place for lunch with friends or for take out to bring my husband. Casual, friendly place with delicious pad thai! Don't miss this gem!
Truly authentic Thai food with friendly service. The interior of the restaurant itself could use a revamp and exudes a down to earth atmosphere, but we love the take out option.
Great place sort of a hole in the wall joint
Great food. Very authentic
My mom spent 65$ and on the seafood salad she asked for squid only and they used all of the seafood and wouldn’t even make the food over will not be returning
Ate here several times, was always good and the staff was always friendly, eat here if you want good Thai food.
Good food. Helps me when I'm tired.
Food is amazing!!
2017 original review: The cook came out to answer my questions about ingredients, and was able to make small alterations (curry without fish sauce, stir fry without oyster sauce, replace meat with tofu) to give me lots of vegan options!
2023 review update: Still the best restaurant in town! I love the red curry, and the pad thai is phenomenal!

Stinky, raw, disgusting food. Egg shells were thrown in the noodles and they were just rushing us. Brooming the floor right where we were eating. Undercooked veggies in the curry rice chicken and stinking glass noodles. Most disgusting (number 57) ever!! Gave me a stomach ache
First time here and food was great as well as service was great!!Will definitely be coming here again!
My husband and I have eaten here a lot of times. We move a lot and enjoy Thai food and was happy to find this place. The family that runs it is very nice. It's always enjoyable to dine in or order out.
We have tried and enjoyed every appetizer. We enjoy the Tom yum soup, especially love all the vegetables in it. The pad Thai is very good, my favorite part is the tofu that they have in it along with your protein. We have also tried thier drunken noodles (it has a proper name, but I don't know how to spell it) and they are very good. They have 4 levels a spice and you can chose based on your preferences. I prefer just a little kick and my husband like the heat
Overall this is a great place, with a good atmosphere, nice people, and excellent food.
Recommend!
It used to be a good place to eat but since last year their food changed. I’ve order pad see eww and it tased too flat like I thought they forgot to cook, just served boiled noodles and broccolis.
Very good service and food
Will be going back soon.
Very good food and service!
I can not begin to tell you how good this food is! Try the wonton soup, curry puffs, beef pad Thai, and I can’t remember the name but #60 ordered spicy was unbelievable! The service was wonderful, really good portions and prices! I wasn’t sure what we were going to walk into because of the location but it was spotless. If you love Thai you’ll love it here. Thanks for a wonderful experience!! Oh and clean restrooms! We’ll be back!
Absolutely outstanding! Very clean with excellent food and warm friendly service.
Great Thai food. I've been to Thailand and this is the best I have had that actually taste like Thai food. If you wanna travel the world for an hour I highly recommend checking this place out. It's not fancy it's just right.
We love Thai-dapetch. Mom n pop restaurant, authentic Thai food, perfect flavors. Sorry I didn't take photos, food was so good! People are friendly, food and service are great. Next time I'll get some pics!
Oh...you have to try the Tom-Kah soup!
I enjoyed the tofu pad thai, it wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but not the worst. Decent portion for the price. However, I don’t recommend the fresh spring rolls. The noodles/wrap were a bit too hard by the time I got home (20 min). The sauce they serve with isn’t the usual peanut sauce I’ve had but it was okay.
Food is amazing as always. And the Thai Iced Tea....delicious.
This is the absolute best restaurant anywhere near this area- hands down. It will be the ONLY restaurant I miss when I leave here. Their Tom Kha soup is to die for (order it Thai hot if you're brave enough)- and the Pad Thai and Curry are excellent as well. Customer service is on point- whether I eat there or order it to go, service is always fast and friendly.
Great food made to order by a wonderful family. Something for everyone. They can make many of the dishes vegan and at the spice level you request. We have been eating here for years.
This place was awesome! Me and my wife just had take out, I had the spicy beef kung pao and she had the chicken curry. Everything was great!
I was sooo disappointed. I ordered chicken Pad see ew and ended up with beef. When I called they were adamant that it was chicken…. If this is chicken I have more concerns. I also ordered sweet sticky rice and asked for no mango. I was served plain non sweet sticky rice. I was so hopeful for a place with so many stars. This just was not it. The Thai tea was the best part of my meal.
Food was delicious, owners checked on the customers several times to make sure they're meal was good for them. Great place to eat if you enjoy good food!
Just really awesome Thai food. Superb flavor.
Eaten there many times. Food always excellent and service prompt and very friendly.
BEWARE: We were over charged a few dollars. That is why only 3 stars. Excellent, delicious food. I've enjoyed Pad Thai with a generous amount of chicken. #22 is a vegetarian dish with lots of veggies! I added noodles to this. We also had 2 appetizers, both were so tasty! The Chicken Sa-Tay was awesome and the prawns in a blanket were fun. Appetizers and drinks are on the expensive, less economical side for pricing. Will return and speak with the owner about being overcharged. We want to continue dining here, IF HE MAKES IT RIGHT.
Food is amazing! Been going here since they opened and they never disappoint! Grateful for this gem in Lil Ole Leesville.
Great service, great food, just fantastic!
Some of the best Thai food I have eaten.
Best food in Leesville, period! Everything is fresh, the owner will explain everything on the menu to you, give pointers and recommendations. Highly recommend this place !
Great place , must try ,fresh cooked every order
Great food!! Always fresh ingredients and great service.
Fantastic! So much better than Memphis! I wish they were located in Memphis. I got pork larb, papaya salad, and sticky rice (substituted lettuce for cabbage). Memphis has TERRIBLE Thai food. This was the best thai meal I have had in 5 or 6 years. It might be more southern. It was a little sweeter than I am used to, but it really hit the spot and was AMAZING for the taste buds! If I am ever in the area again I will go out of my way to eat here again.
Awesome food
Food was great...Owner was very helpful about answering our questions. Very pleasant surroundings.

Exceptional Thai food and a great family run business in Leesville. We get takeout from here regularly and I absolutely recommend them to you.
Mr. Sam, and his Family, absolutely love and care about their community. You can tell in just a 5min conversation with them. The food they cook here from their culture is absolutely AMAZING. INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS. I'm so grateful they're here in Leesville Louisiana. I'd give more stars for their food, and service, if I could.
Great and service from their owners. Highly recommend this place to friends and family.
I love this place. Owner is super welcoming. Food is great, and comes out quickly. This is one of the only restaurants in the area I actually think is worth paying for. Give it a try.
Always love this place hands down best Thai Food. My friends drive from Houston just for the food it's that good. Thanks Mr. Sam.
Great food and service!
Hard pass. Too expensive, decent food.
Had one of the curries and it was really good. It had a good bit of spice to it too.
Authentic Thai food; fragrant and flavorful. Family ran business.
Good food
Great mom and pop restaurant! Great food and they treat you like family!
Always good. Always friendly.
This place is amazing!!!
Family friendly, love the quiet peaceful setting.
Amazing Thai food with excellent service. The pad prik king is incredible!!!
The Pad Thai was delicious. Quick service. A friendly family run operation.
Excellent fresh food
1st visit, I ordered shrimp fried rice to go. I got chicken fried rice. 2nd visit I ordered vegetable fried rice and got squid in the rice. There won’t be a 3rd visit. Moral of story: check your to go meal before leaving.
I love thai curry , i only received small cup of soup , missing so many essential items or so little you would not think any was in there. On top of this they charge almost $20. Or maybe my rice was $5. Im use to having a larger container fill more like a soup.
Update, it taste great, not enough soup, but very good
This place popped up in my Google searches from day one of me being here. For some reason hadn't made it here until now. I ordered the fried shrimp (#41) and sticky rice. The service was good and fast. The portions are more than adequate and the flavor is great. I was there at 5:30pm and the were only a handful of customers. The dining area holds approx 10 tables so I imagine that it could get crowded quite easily. But today it wasn't.
DEFINITELY A GREAT PLACE TO GO FOR GROUP AND FAMILY EVENTS
Great food and wonderful folks. Enjoyed this place very much.
I eat here about once a week. The food is excellent. I always get the #40.
Have been going to this place for years and the food and family are always great!
Excellent service, delicious food.
I ordered Thai iced tea, Tom Ka soup, spring roll and a seafood curry dish. Everything was done to perfection and the man running the place is so hospitable and funny. We tried several other places in the Alexandria area, this by far is worth the drive. It’s not a big deal there’s not currently indoor dining available. To my husband and I, it’s worth the drive.
Service was great the food was amazing. I opted for the spice added to the number 60 and it is so good highly highly recommend
Always great food and service!!!
Delicious
Delicious!!!!!
Family owned and operated, great food and my husband loves it here.
Great food!
To much curry....
Not the freshest of ingredients...
Lao style of cooking.
The flavors of the food do not taste authentic. It tastes OK...
With that said: The food is by far better than a lot of the local restaurants in the area...The owner is a good guy and a good family owned business! Sometimes he comes off as abrasive and some may interpret that as rude, but I see it as a cultural difference. He means well.
Not the cleanest of places...but the staff will make you feel at home. Prices are a bit high for what you get...but since there aren't many Thai places...you get what you get.
Enjoy...
Been going here for years, great food great service
If you want the best authentic Thai food then this is the place! Highly recommended!
Our favorite restaurant! Pad Thai, Red Beef Curry are favorite.
Thadapetch is one of our favorite places here! The owner is so kind and the food is delicious. We love the curries and their Thai iced tea
When I work out of town @ Fort Polk, Thadapetch is my go to dinner spot! Quant little eatery don't let the outside looks fool you (I have learned most places with an outside that makes you second guess your choice will usually blow you away, and Tha da petch sure as hell is not letting you down) inside is spotless with friendly family staff. The food is always cooked to perfection, choose your spice level so supper is tailored to you, can you beat that? No. What has really made me feel like I NEED to leave a review for them is this time while working out of town during the pandemic I called a little late (8:40pm; i know their hours are till 9pm but Pandemic.... they have been closing at 8pm) but upon hearing they were closed I let out a sound of "oh no what have I done. What will I find to eat?" hearing my dismay the owner asked how fast can you get here. Staying in the Days inn never paid off better. (restaurant is in the same building) Was told to hurry, this was an understatement; I walked over to pick up dinner (Flaming beef)that was ready in all of 8min, yes the pineapple with the beef is delicious. In closing this place that was closed for 40min prior to my calling in made a huge effort in still cooking me supper and you may think wow how could the owner have the chef stay so late and continue cooking but no this owner care enough to ask how the chef feels, if they wanna leave then sry we closed, thankfully that is not what happened tonight. Of course had to leave a good tip for the extra effort. Beyond amazing. Things I myself have tried are the green curry, pad thai, spring rolls, mee krob raad nah, and the flaming beef, all are full of flavor and in my opinion a much better option than fast food.
Stopped by today and ordered my favorite dish and asked for a minor change and they obliged and the dish was magnificent.
Sloppy pad thai. Tried it second time to see if it improved but still didn’t taste good, little chicken but lots of tofu and not enough noodle serving. I don’t like their service. Not worth the price
I love this place so much! Great service and they’re finally open again. I missed this place so much!!
Mr Sam has the absolute best Thai around! Freshest food and friendly service. He always remembers our favorites and is so kind to the family. The Green Curry with Shrimp is the best I’ve ever had. No one else around the world has been able to hold a candle to Thadapetch. Order Tom Kha for the table and to-go when you are feeling sick. It’s magical. Great family owned and operated local business.
The food was amazing but can be a bit pricey if you are looking for something cheap to eat
Realy good food!
Don't order the thai hot!!!! Will burn you twice.
Great food, aesthetic nothing too special but cozy enough, good friendly staff.
Lovely place nice staff definitely currying back. Lol
Wonderful little home owned Thai restaurant in the middle of Leesville. The basil chicken is some of the best this foodie has ever tried. I order it medium. If you're sensitive to spice go w mild.
Tripe...nasty

Best Thai place in Leesville,LA. Good portions but expensive.
I have been an avid Thai food fanatic for over 30 years so much so that when traveling (foreign & domestic) & am somewhere new for more than a couple of days, I will find a Thai food restaurant to satisfy my craving.... Although Leesville's culinary options are limited, Thadapetch's Thai food is spectacular! Not just by Leesville, Louisiana, or the United States standards... by any standards! The same is said by all other people (soldiers, civil servants, worldly travelers) who are also Thai food fanatics. Everything on the menu is delicious, believe me, I know😉
So many delicious things to choose from. The food is always so fresh and flavorful.
Really good food!
Food good but cost expensive for portion
Cleanest place I've ever eaten. The service is amazing! Honest and good !
Staff was very nice & food was delicious! Great experience!
Always great food and service.
Great food in the food desert of Louisiana. They pay attention to
Traditional dishes as well as quality. Rare find in Leesville.
Great authentic food! We always enjoy our lunch here!
Ok
Great Thai Food!
Good for Leesville and Fort Polk area
Love the Pad Thai. Great portion! Take half home for dinner!
Food was good, but way overpriced for what it was. We need some better options in Leesville
It was wonderful! Waiter was helpful and menu had authentic variety.
