I’ve been going here for years now and I come here every week. I’ve enjoyed every meal I’ve had here. I don’t think I’ll ever eat at a Thai restaurant that I will like more than Royal Thai. The food is high quality but the prices are great. Every person that I or my mom has brought here has enjoyed their food. Last but not least, the staff are warm and friendly to all its customers.

I ordered the Royal Cashew with chicken off the lunch menu. The food was good and flavorful, the serving size was a nice portion.
The appearance and decor of the restaurant could use some updating, but if you are just going for the food, it is good.

The service was very nice. Their Thai tea was so delicious! I added the brown sugar jelly in it, and it made the flavor even better! For the food that I ate, I ordered the Royal Spaghetti, but it was not the best as they added too much oil to the meal; however, maybe this just comes to my preference and the fact that I just simply chose the wrong dish. The dishes that the rest of my cousins ate looks better than mines, so I won't judge too harshly. As for the decor, it's not aesthetic and trendy, but the customer service made up for it. In conclusion, I would come back and try a better dish.

This was my first time trying Thai food and I was honestly very impressed. The food was so delicious and flavorful. They had an easy to read menu that really helped a newbie like me figure out what I wanted to eat. The menu had lost of options to choose from with lots of variety.. The staff was very friendly and were able to answer all my questions. The food came out in a timely manner. The place was honestly so cute on the inside and very clean. I can not wait to go back and try some more dishes. If you have never tried Thai food before this is the perfect place for you first time you will not be disappointed.

The pineapple fried rice and fried egg rolls were AMAZING! The basil crispy chicken was okay but definitely not the best. The restaurant was clean and the staff were very kind and friendly.

Very disappointed, not spicy at all, would never go back. ( sorry) it just wasn't good at all, just tasteless. Been to thai restaurants before, and this place had a totally different taste 👎👎But was packed in there at that time.

Excellent food, excellent wait staff

We are from Metairie and this is our goto Thai place. They always have great specials and chef creations, curry dishes, plus all the classics. We love the curry puffs, as well as the spicy thai chicken wings for appetizers. Their noodle dishes are on point (drunken noodle is a fave) and some of the best rice ever, even the white rice is awesome. They serve beer and wine, and have a small bakery in house where they sale deserts. Service has always been great. This is a must eats!

Update a few years later: still a must eats. We eat here multiple times a month with our friends. The soups are really to die for with their amazing broths. I'm not sure of adult beverages are still available, but they do bubble tea. Food and service are so good! 10/10!

The food here is delicious and for those who like it there are bubble tea options. They also sell Japanese Sprite.

My favorite Thai restaurant in the area. Food is amazing and consistent. The Pad Thai is one of the best I've had and my husband gets the Pad Kra Pao. The service is also wonderful! It’s a smaller intimate casual space and very cozy.

I went here with my girlfriend on her 12-1 lunch break on a Wednesday after picking her up just across the street at her workplace. The food is really good but we didn't get our lunch until 12:55 (we walked in & were seated at 12:05) and had to take it to go on our way out the door. I guess that's my fault for expecting usual service when they were clearly slammed. She was only able to have a few bites on our minute-long drive across the street, and said she was sad because it was the best fried rice she had ever had! My shrimp pad thai was good too. Our server was very nice and apologetic about the wait. I would come here again, just not on a lunch break!

Great Thai place. Recently raised prices on lunch special ALOT but I suppose that's the world we live in now. No paper menus anymore either. I uploaded photos of the latest menu because it's not online and they don't have paper menus. Enjoy!

A hidden gem. Really good pad thai reminds me of childhood when I smelt it. I love how big the shrimps are and the stir fry pad thai <33! Love the bean sprouts!

Royal Thai is our go to for Thai food. All we have to do is tell the waitress to tell Dia (sp?) that we’re here and out comes our food just the way we like it. Nice to have such a good Thai restaurant in River Ridge.

Royal Thai is on my boycott list after being ignored and left sitting for over a half an hour. A man came in after me. He was greeted warmly by the staff and received his food within minutes. I got the server's attention, and she waved, but nothing. I went to the register to pay for my tea, which I am grateful to have gotten, and there was no explanation, just a shrug. Maybe they didn't like my looks? I'll never be back and will tell others to avoid this rude place!

Had a tasty pork fried rice bowl here. Asked for something to spice it up. Was handed a tiny cup of some kind of deep red coarse ground chilies. That definitely kicked it up a notch. Seriously, it was like a teaspoon full... good stuff. Loved it.

Good service and food. I had the basil eggplant, No. 18, with veggies and tofu and added 2 scrambled eggs...it was great. For an app we split the endamame gyoza which was also very good! Lot of food for the price. I brought most of the entree home. Didn't carry Absolute vodka and the bar seemed limited which is why I took one star away.

Nice - but don't bother with their desserts, if the tea cake was any sample. Everything else I had was quite tasty. Will go back again.

We’ve been here 4 times and have never been dissatisfied. The service is wonderful and the food is flavorful. Tonight we had the spider shrimp and spring rolls for apps, the basil eggplant and spicy basil calamari. DELISH!!! Generous portions and affordable.

we love the food here and the servings are generous. me and my wife are avid goers to this place during lunch time. however, we decided not to come back here again on dinner time. reason is, the daughter of the owner doesn't have a courtesy when serving to customers, to be fair, the regular employees here are way courteous compared to the "DAUGHTER" of the owner. it seems she doesn't want to do what she needs to do! Just a piece of advice (to the DAUGHTER), if you have issues taking the order from the customers, refer them to the menu and ask them which item they want and do not tell them "I DONT KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT". 1 star for the Food only!
