Family owned and operated since 1989. We are one of the most well-known restaurants in Louisiana. Thai Kitchen is the only Thai restaurant that offers a variety such as Thai, Dim-Sum, Lunch Specials (Tues-Fri), Happy Hour (11am-7pm daily), Out Door Seating with a Stage for Live Music and a Waterfall, Catering, and Sports Bar. We grow our own herbs so you can get a fresh and organic bite in every dish.
Been here a few times, but adding a review. I love this place. Don’t be fooled by the outside or the shopping neighborhood. This is a fantastic place. The atmosphere has a very “non-assuming” feel, like a mom and pop’s place - but with a noticeable attention to detail. The service is always top notch. The food is bursting with flavors! I could go for a little larger portions, but not complaining. It’s also common for them to have live music, which is an additional bonus. Highly recommend. Right off I-10 on College.
So I’m a huge foodie and someone who’s worked in the service industry (fine dining) for about 9 years now. I’m not one to typically leave a review unless I’m really moved to. I’ve been coming to Thai kitchen since I moved to Baton Rouge around 5 years ago and I’ve always had amazing food that I can’t stop telling my friends about. I always suggest this place to friends and family visiting or asking where to go for good quality Asian food, but I’ve never thought about leaving a review. Tonight me and my girlfriend had yet another exceptional meal at the bar (who was tended by the owners daughter), Jade, tonight was special! We enjoyed everything from the handmade dumplings to the house made egg rolls and their authentic Larb. Everything here is made with love and care and I can’t recommend this place enough.
Our waitress was wonderful. I feel badly that I didn’t get her name. She made excellent suggestions.
This was my first Thai meal and it was delicious.
Pork Larb Appetizer eaten on cabbage leaves.
Choice of ground chicken, beef, pork, or fried tofu. Seasoned with organic mint leaves, scallion, hot peppers, and fresh lime juice. Served with crispy cabbage.
Pad See Ewe with steak and flat noodles
Beef, Vegetables, Stir-fried flat rice noodles with Thai soy sauce, broccoli, and eggs.
Fire Cracker Chicken with Lo Mein, breaded and fried chicken with sautéed onions, bell pepper, and carrots.
There is a menu for children with “regular and usual” dishes that today’s children like to eat. We had a 10 month old with us so having a picky eater rating wasn’t possible.
The restaurant appeared to be clean and well organized. I will be returning.
I would love to keep coming back to try new things. I'm a fan of spicy food, and this did not disappoint. Everything was very flavorful, the service was very knowledgeable about their dishes, and the atmosphere vibe screamed "Thai". Prices are very fair and reasonable for what you get.
Tom Yum soup (spicy), Thai Summer Roll (pork & shrimp), and Pad Ka Prao (pork) were all great and are recommended.
They also have a nice selection of sake for those who enjoy the drink.
Best Thai food in Baton Rouge and best I’ve had anywhere in a while. Had the Pad Ka Prao which was prepared very well. Peppers & onions were sliced thinly and cooked to perfection with the dish, flavors were balanced and spice level was amazing.
I will probably go back tomorrow for the same dish.
Beautiful, amazing, great staff, food is authentic & taste is great, some sauces for me are a bit sweet & the duck was cooked a tad long & was covered in a sweet sauce that didn't allow me to really taste the meat, but I'll go back & Def eat again ! Peanut sauce is home made, the chicken satay was on point. Can't wait to go back & try other things
Ok place for Thai food. Service was lackluster. The person who sat me down was super and very fun but my server was nothing to write home about. I loved the grilled calamari. Their peanut sauce was really yummy too. I ordered the chicken satay which was very good and nice sized-pieces of chicken. I also ordered the veggies in light sauce with white rice. The rice was a little on the dry side. I have mixed opinions about it but I'd order it again but I'm not sure it's the dish that would make me get off the couch to drive there and eat. It was a good vegan option.
We were in town visiting family and found it through a quick search. The atmosphere is kind of unique being that it is a sports bar-and-grill but nonetheless the food was very good. Charles was our waiter and he did an outstanding job.

Still the best Thai food I’ve ever had. Never leave disappointed.

Fantastic food, and possibly the best service I've ever had in my life. Boxed our food for us and when we forgot it inside walked out the building to give it to us. Shoutout to Adam
Got a nasty black hair about 4" long in my pad Thai dish. It was my birthday and I was the only one at the table who got a nasty hair. I put that hair in a plate and gave it to the employees there. They did nothing but say sorry. I will never go back because they didn't offer to replace my dish. Lost me and my my family's business forever.
Sam & his team do a great job. Consistent, very good, tasty, Thai food.
Food was very good and the staff was very nice
We always try to eat at Thai Kitchen when we are in Baton Rouge. Today was an exceptional visit. They were short on servers, so not as fast as normal. But what made our visit exceptional this time was we had an awesome server. Her name was Ella. I noticed when she was traveling I could see the stress on her face. But as she approached our table, that was replaced by a smile. This sweet person just made our visit!
The food was so good as always. It was fresh and properly seasoned. This will continue to be our favorite Thai place!
The food was very tasty. Egg rolls were crispy and tasty as we like it. Restaurant had great atmosphere.
Really good food, with very friendly wait staff. Always a pleasure!
There was a misunderstanding with the take out but they were extremely kind in handling it. Food was delicious. I'll be back when I'm back in town. Thank you!
Food bad, ew
The food was good. I just needed a little more served on the plate
Food and service are both very good. Its a nice place.
Me and a colleague came here for lunch. Food was good and reasonably priced.
Foud not that good paying for atmosphere which isn't worth the food prices.

Excellent service and amazing food. I also got the organic mojito, which was very tasty. We got so many different dishes to try and it was all great! I'll definitely recommend this establishment to many people.

Best Thai food around. I’ve been to Thailand and this place is authentic Thai food.
Food was bland. Took me an hour to get there. I had ordered Pad Thai Shrimp and Fried Rice : both mid level spicy. That doesn't mean the food has to be bland.
Well I had to eat it because I had already paid for it (being Asian).
I am not ever ordering from this restaurant again.
Had the sweetest take out associate! She was very kind and honestly best service I’ve received anywhere in quite some time.

Really enjoyed my lemon grass soup and sweet and sour shrimp. Lots of TVs to watch sports which is unusual but pretty cool. Will return.
Food is good. The service really makes up for the dining experience. Love that they have a well stock bar options and live music.
Not the best, but not the worst thai food. For a college town, it's fine. Better thai food in NOLA
Really good thai food! I recommend the crispy tofu! It was quite delicious~
I stopped by Thai Kitchen for a quick dinner. The decor is very traditional, featuring beautiful wooden carved chairs and tables. However, be cautious of the table legs when you get up—they're old-style columns and could hurt you if you're not careful.
Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. I ordered a summer roll, which cost $3 and came with peanut sauce. The filling consisted of just one basil leaf and some sliced lettuce. I also ordered shrimp curry with fried rice, which included a $1.50 upcharge for the fried rice. The curry was too watery and diluted, containing only a few chunks of Thai eggplant and five shrimp. While the shrimp were cooked properly, the curry lacked the distinctive lemon, coconut, and spice flavors. On the bright side, the service was good.
Verdict: Not a good Thai food experience for me.
My wife and I LOVE Thai Kitchen. The food is always amazing/fairly priced and the service is great. We have been many times and will continue to go back.
Best Thai in Baton Rouge.
They do their best to make what you want, even if it's not on the menu.. the waitress I had was amazing
This is a quiet place where you enjoy good Thai food
Thai Kitchen

I'll be straightforward and frank. I came here the first time a few months back and thought everything was decent. I came back here recently, and everything from Point A to Point B was on Point! You will catch me here again just to devour for the KAFFIR LIME LEAVES WITH CRISPY TOFU and other delicious goods!

Love you, Candy!!
Excellent service and great food..with a beautiful atmosphere to match. Will be returning.
The place is much larger and nicer than I expected. I ordered from the lunch specials, which had over 15 options at the set $13 cost, which included egg roll, soup or salad, and entree. The furnishings are beautifully carved and breathtaking. My daughter ordered French fries. really? In a Thai restaurant? Lemme tell you, they nailed it. Crispy on outside and creamy on inside. All the food was like that, meaning prepared to perfection.
Typical thai restaurant with the similar atmosphere and vibe! Interesting that they also serve sushi here but we focus on Thai food.
The summer roll as appetizer is good as expected, the Larb with beef is rather spicy! Brazil fried rice with chicken is adequate while the shrimp dish is delicious!
Overall, it was a good experience and foods are delicious. Recommend level 2 of spiciness because level 3 is a bit too spicy for me.
Ordered green curry and asked if it was enough for two (or we could order another one) but it was small. We had to go somewhere else to buy more food. Flavour wasn't that great
Amazing place, delicious food.
Food was great, however this is more of a fast food, take out place, I guess. I dined inside and the food is brought to your table boxed in a plastic tray with tiny little plastic forks to use for eating.
A true hole in the wall. Great service, very friendly staff and the food was amazing!
I usually love thai kitchen, but I find their spicy levels have changed. I always got level 3 and had a wonderful hot enough experience to be satisfied. I ordered a 4 and pointed out the lack of spice and more spice was brought separately, but it's not the same when it's not cooked into the noodles. Still loved everything just wish it had a kick to it.
Not a fan of Thai food in general, but they have a diverse menu. Got a seafood soup that was really good. Service was good and very friendly. We'll definitely be back.
Food is sooo good.. more of Asian Fushion .. but the Curry is my favorite
We took our 3 grandchildren, ages 10 to 5, Friday night and they loved trying fried wontons turning the lazy Susan on our table and experimenting with Thai food. Excellent children's menu. The best dessert in the world...River Kwai (coconut ice cream, chocolate syrup and (4) banana pieces wrapped in dough and fried. Don't get better than that
My server Willow was the best!
Great authentic Thai food and sushi! The baked sushi roll (DELICIOUS!) and Khao Soi Curry were particularly good. Also had some awesome weekly deals and wonderful service!
Omg that was good.
The Drunken Noodles with Chicken are delicious!!!
Such good food, variety from curry to sushi! The outdoor patio is also very enjoyable for lunch & drinks with friends.
Sadly, I cannot afford this anymore. The foods phenomal along with the customer service, I just can’t justify spending $20 for some noodles and meat. I will miss you Thai kitchen ❤️ also the portions are pretty measly, but it’s some damn good food
Definitely delicious 😋 dumplings, satay, baked shrimp and noodles. Yum
Good Thai food location for Baton Rouge because Baton, Louisiana is not a cuisine epicenter. The owner is always polite, the food items which I order are always prepared correctly (satay chicken, lemon grass soup, and summer rolls). For the price, this is a good place, in Baton Rouge.
Ok place for Thai food. Service was lackluster. The person who sat me down was super and very fun but my server was nothing to write home about. I loved the grilled calamari. It was a good vegan option.
Seafood combination completely unseasoned and is $26, shrimp toast 8/10, drunken noodles 10/10, garlic chicken wings 0/10 nothing garlic or seasoned about them. 1 server, poor guy was so nice and hard working. Menus were disgustingly dirty. Water and ice were fantastic
Over cooked rubber shrimp, lack of seasoning. Awful.
Always a great meal. Love the larb appetizer.
Profesional service, astoundingly good food, and for my last visit, very accommodating hours. Do yourself a favor and give them a shot if you haven't before!
Great Thai especially for travelers, close to hotels & interstate. Do NOT order from the website as you will pay higher prices. Calll the restaurant, that was the Hostess advice! Said the site over charges and they've been trying to get it rectified with a 3rd party!
Atmosphere was acceptable, but food was not good..
Good food and great customer service.
First time food was good. I will be back
Always love this place!!
Best food around and the owners are the sweetest. 10/10 recommend!
Great atmosphere. The red curry was delicious!
Great food and atmosphere
My Thai Basil was sooooo watery and lacked flavor. I could not finish my food.
This was a saga of wait staff not paying any attention - neither when you raise hands nor when you say excuse me when they are nearby avoiding any eye contact at any other points of time. Wanted to order extra rice - nope no attention. We are staring at empty plates for 20 minutes - want to order next course - nope no attention. Want to get fresh plates or cutlery - no body cared. Spent 10 minutes of eating but 50 minutes of staring at the table - quite a bit at the empty dishes. To top it off the owner comes and says that your server is busy so stop trying to expect her attention. Quite a rude attitude to cover up their shortcoming. It was a lunch hour and they had only two servers. They should hire more people and/or give customers a better care.
Great flavors. 5 levels of spicy. One can ask for the "spice tray" for self inflicted pain, I mean, flavor level.
Very clean, inviting, and relaxing atmosphere. Great service, great food, and AMAZING sweet tea. Highly recommended.
I'm so happy to have found this place, the food was absolutely amazing and the atmosphere outside (there's a really nice area in the back) was sick. I'm definitely going to try to stop by on a Thursday when they have live music 😎
Have green curry and pad thai here but I am suspecting the food are not fresh !!! Cuz my friends and I are experiencing diarrhea and allergy symptoms after eating here !!!!!
If you like bland shrimp Pad Thai, underwhelming spring rolls and watered down Thai tea, then this is definitely the place to be. Honestly, I was quite disappointed. Not sure where the rave reviews are coming from but to each its own.
Went to another Thai restaurant Duang Tawan (sp?) and the food there is way better. More authentic. What I liked is they didn't seal the bag of spring rolls because they explained it will become soggy and no longer crispy. Makes sense.
Me and my friends love this place the food is always good.
Great food..Loved it.
How do you know the food is great in a restaurant? When your friends who used to work there, still want to eat there.
This place is very cozy, food is absolutely delicious, staff were very polite and accommodating!!! Highly recommend!
Best Thai food in Baton Rouge
Was good. Nice quiet spot. Have some tea and noodle.
3/2023 We are die hard Thai Kitchen fans. But...the quality and amount has dropped off. We will be back. Hopefully, plates will be back to being loaded with ingredients and portion sizes that I remember.
Excellent food and service especially Friday nights
When I first bring in a person for the first time to Thai Kitchen, I ask them to say hey to the Thai lady statue on the right as soon as you enter the restaurant beside the door (kidding) and to also pay attention to the intricate and beautifully carved handmade patterns inside the tables we're seated at. You can spend so much time looking into them we wait for our food, which by the way is definitely worth the time. 5 spice levels, with 3 or 4 being my go-to, depending on how much I feel like crying. I personally never leave a visit without getting a bowl of lemongrass soup - it's my all time favorite soup in all of Baton Rouge! Drunken noodles are definitely a must as well. Dishes can usually be customized if spoken to the server properly. Really nice atmosphere with an outdoor seating area too that isn't that known to a lot of people as a choice I feel!
Spent $16.99 with tax, not including tip for the box lunch in the pic. Thai Basil, spice level Thai hot. Was tasty but it wasn't thai hot and I was very disappointed with the serving sizes of the main dish, rice, and even the salad (few pieces of iceberg lettuce and one small slice of tomato). Food does have flavor, but for the price and portion sizes, it's my opinion that your money can get you equally good food with larger portions at other Thai restaurants in town. Went here because I was near College Dr and needed something quick, will wait next time.
Their Thai Currys are very dilute and don't have a rich taste.
Great place. A must when in the Baton Rouge area
The Beef Pad Ka Prow is definitely my go-to! And the tempura fried cheesecake was phenomenal
Not worth, overly priced.
SMALL, VERY. VERY. VERY. SMALL portions.
If the amount they gave you was bigger for the amount they charged it would’ve been 6.5/10.
the only seasoning they use is salt, and sodium, place is tailored towards white folks who wants to experience the “thai” culture.
Portion size was no joke so small. Each dish was $22+ which ISNT the problem IF they gave you more.
Like no joke the portion size was like maybe 3-4 bites.
For example I ordered 2 small as half bite breads for $6 each.
Waiter was upset bc he has his table taken but another server and was visibly showing it towards his tables.
Drinks were okay, 7.5/10 on the drinks
Overall, the place I would give them a 2.8/10.
For using frozen seafood, other places were much more worth it.
I honestly left hungry and wished I would’ve gone to burger king over this place.
Size was small, curry like a soup , rice is good but size too small that you didn’t feel like you ate. Overpriced and bad taste, never go again.
Service is normal
Very good food. Waitresses were stunning.
Thai Kitchen has been a Baton Rouge staple for nearly 25 years. Its as delicious now as it was back then.
Food delish and service great. Lemongrass soup, spring rolls and egg rolls were great along with the entrees. Highly recommend.
Great live music, first Thursday of every month, don't miss it! The food was hearty and delicious too!
We love this place! We have eaten there several times this past year and they never disappoint in food taste and quality and the service.
Excellent food and service. Everyone in our family enjoyed it.
Service is good. But the food is terrible. The soup has no taste
Excellent Thei food.
Great place to eat and celebrate
Awesome Thai food
My vegetarian girlfriend was yelled at by the server when we were there for the lunch. My girlfriend was just trying to make sure the soup has no meat related items. First time we had such experience in a restaurant. Food came, I tried so hard to eat but I could not eat after being treated like that. I paid $46 for food and $5 as tip. I just wanted to get out from this place. Hope nobody has to go through all this while you are out eating, everybody has enough problems in life to deal with.
It smells as you enter and the food was not tasty. My mother n law doesn’t eat meat and explained that to the waiter twice, and they still brought her plate out with meat anyway. My noodles were not cooked properly and the taste wasn’t all that. The owner SAM was extremely RUDE. First he attempted to seat a white couple ahead of us, but the male told him NO they were here before me. When called to address him on the food he refused to accommodate us. We were willing to pay for one meal since it just was cooked right. He still made her pay for a plate with meat on it even though it was explained .
Everything was OK. Very super ok.
Never any troubles with this place. Great service and incredible food. If you are a drinker I highly recommend the Bird of Paradise.
Okay, so the food and the ambiance were both great, as was our lovely server!
We ordered dessert, were chatting happily, enjoying our drinks, and the check was brought for us to deal with at our leisure. We didn't make it a priority, as there was still cheesecake to eat and the restaurant seemed to not need our table for turnover, as it was only about 1/3 - 1/2 full.
The check was laying flat on the table. A busser came by, looked us in the eyes, grabbed it, and stood it up by slamming it on the table. I made an exclamation like, "Excuse me?" or something, but he was already walking away.
My friend was immediately anxious and mentioned that she thought he wanted us to pay the bill. I said I understood, but we hadn't finished eating/drinking and he was being rude. I refused to rush. We started in on the fried cheesecake.
A few minutes later, the same busser came by our table, paused to look us in the eyes, and pounded two half-filled bottled of soy sauce onto the table. I exclaimed, "Bruh!" at him as he walked away.
My friend was exceptionally anxious, and suggested we leave again, so we put her card in the thing and continued trying to enjoy the cheesecake.
The check came, we signed the tab, and then this dude walks up a THIRD time and throws *someone* *else's napkin on top of our cheesecake plate (which was not yet empty).
At this point, I said, "Nope, absolutely not!" I waved down our lovely server, who confided in us that this was not the first time he had done something like this, and that he made her feel really uncomfortable.
Then the owner comes out, and we tell him what happened. He makes a weak gesture at the check, my friend and I didn't know what to do, but we didn't want our server to miss her tip. Idk. So he sort of stopped mentioning that and said he had talked to the person and that "he is a really good worker... sometimes!" He said it was unacceptable and that if he did it again, he would be fired.
We got a free round of drinks.
We always get this on our favorite days of celebration. Hubby's bday, every year, Thai Kitchen is a must. Panang curry with shrimp is a delicious creation. Larb, Thai hot, is my favorite appetizer.. so delicious!
Very awesome place I will definitely be back.
Great food better people
Exceptional.
Not too shabby, not the best.
Nice service
The food was great. Only thing was i ordered 3 an there was not a lot of pice. So up the heat if you like it hot.
All the food was great. The only thing was i ordered a 3 and it was not hit at all. So go up on the heat
So they gave me raw chicken in my Basil Leaves entree and I had to pay for it as well, but my husband got a free drink! Did I mention I’m pregnant? They did offer to remake it but how can even trust them? So I would not recommend.
Great hospitality and service and very good food! Highly recommended.
