We ordered the Thai Rangoon, they use real crab meat, and it is prepared differently than most and it was delicious!!!! The Vegetable Spring Rolls were equally tasty. It was at this point I realized all of their food is fresh and made in house. Dinner was Pad Kee Mao and Pad Thai (I didn’t get to taste that one because my sister likes hers Thai Hot!!! The owner did come check on her to make sure she didn’t make a serious mistake ordering it that way 😂😂😂. It was all so fresh, clean, and wonderful. I'm so happy that Take Thai has opened and expanded the Thai food options in the area. I visited their restaurant today during dinner time, and it was crowded. It's a very small, nicely decorated restaurant located in a strip mall, but yet they had some live entertainment - most likely to celebrate their recent opening!

The staff were all friendly and attentive to ensure I enjoyed everything I had, which included the Thai Tea, Pad Kee Mao, and Thai Rangoon. All the ingredients were fresh and flavorful!

I look forward to returning soon to try some of the other items on the menu!

A level 1 spice (from 0-4) on the pad thai was a bit much for me, but I'm pretty weak to spice and the flavor was fantastic anyway. For those who love spicy food, they can give you a spice rack to add even more. I don't know exactly what authentic Thai tea tastes like (I'm used to the canned/pre-mixed stuff), but what we had seemed pretty legit.

The owners/staff were really nice and kept checking on us throughout the meal. This place is definitely worth a visit.

I stopped in for dinner the other day. I’ve been wanting to try this place as they are new and close to where I live. I was not disappointed. Cozy and simple.

Firstly, everyone there was very nice and attentive, always checking on you and making sure everything is just right. The lady recommended a few dishes as I didn’t know what to get. I was happy with my selections.

For an appetizer, I got the Chicken Satay. Very tender and full of flavor. The peanut dressing was great. For the entree I got the Pad Gra Paow (basil stir fry) with seafood (shrimp and calamari). “Thai Spicy” as requested. “Thai Tasty!”

All great! I will be back!

What an amazing place, complete with friendly and attentive staff plus top notch, authentic cuisine. Chef Ann is simply wonderful and always has a smile on her face. She is very welcoming. Her kitchen skills......magical! Warning......she will always tempt you with the fresh mango and sticky rice plate when it's available. You should take her up on it (at least once) because it's heavenly. I do not live close to Take Thai, but it is well worth the 30 minute trip I make at least once a week. I've ordered To-Go from this restaurant three times now. Each visit, the food has been seasoned well. I'd recommend the Yum Nua, Pad Kra Pao (Gai), or Tom Kha Gai.

So far, the only thing I'd really recommend is that if you enjoy spicy food, order the "level 4-Thai Hot." It's more similar to All Thai'd Up's "Medium" or Time 4 Thai's "Level-4"

Outstanding food and friendly staff! I had the green curry and Thai iced tea, which were both excellent. I love spicy food and found the heat level 2 out of 4 to be quite tolerable. May just go for a 3 next time. Either way, I plan on becoming a regular customer and am very happy to have this restaurant in the area.

I was excited to find another Thai spot in Louisville. Even more excited to open up the to-go containers and find the ingredients were authentic. BUT the flavors were not great. The papaya salad was bitter and the Tom kha kai was VERY SALTY. slightly disappointed because it could have been so good! 😭 I long for the day to just go back to Thailand for unlimited amazing food.

First - they don’t know how to work with wok. Every foods was so dry and over heated. Second - they tried to making Thai foods but I don’t felt like this was Thai foods at all. I lived in Thailand for six years and even street foods in Thailand is way better than this.Third - the price they charge and the portion they gave , the way they made the foods is not fair enough. Honestly, small portion, easy foods for such a price is so expensive. Like I said , I gave this review not bcoz I wanted to hurt the business. Hope they can do better.

DoorDash ordered a Som Tum salad, Pineapple Fried Rice, and Pad Thai. The Som Tum was hardly spicy even though I requested the highest level of spice, and the pineapple fried rice had onions even though I asked for No Onions in the menu selection. I also did not get the fried egg for the pineapple fried rice I requested. The Pad Thai was alright.

We got C2 & T6 as our entrees, Tom Kha level 2 with mixed veg & chicken gyoza as our appetizers. All were amazing! The Tom Kha was the best I’ve ever had. Everyone was incredibly kind & helpful. Clean environment. Delicious food. Highly recommend!

I mean, the food was fine? Have gotten take out twice now and both times the dishes were dry and under seasoned. I don't understand what they are doing with their Pad Thai, it tastes nothing like Pad Thai. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't good. Portions are on the smaller side as well. It's a bummer because as someone who loves Thai food I was really excited for this place to open. I don't know where all of the five star reviews are coming from but I can promise you it is NOT five star. Definitely better options in town.

Nice place and nice people. I was really looking forward to trying their food. The reviews were so good. The only thing that turned out to be good, was the vegetable spring rolls. I got pad Thai with beef. The beef was extremely dry. I also got tofu in it that I did not ask for and there was hardly any flavor at all.
My granddaughter got the vegetable pad Thai. Hers had tofu in it as well, that we did not ask for. Her mom and her described it as a urine taste. I’m not sure what the spice was But it does not belong in pad Thai.
My grandson got the pad woon sen. That tasted OK. Nobody messed up on that dish. I was going to return my granddaughter‘s dish, but then discovered I did not get a receipt after I paid.
This was a very expensive lesson to learn. So disappointed..
Simply Thai is still hard to beat.

With the open concept kitchen for customers to see the cooks preparing the food, you know they will be practicing safe food practices. This will be my go to Asian spot!

My husband and I live down the street so we’ve been waiting patiently for this place to be open. We ordered chicken satay, tom kha soup, panang curry, and pad see ew. Everything was absolutely delicious. We were so happy with our meals. The service was wonderful and everyone was very attentive and kind. It’s exactly the kind of place we were hoping it would be and can’t wait to come back!

Let me tell you something about this restaurant.. They are the most loving people and his wife knows how To cook Thai food like a queen!! They are such loving people. They literally gave me a free meal, I had no clue I was gonna get a free meal until I was literally getting my food..this is some of the BEST THAI FOOD, I’ve had in a long time…. I’ve been riding by the restaurant for months waiting for it to open… I will post pictures… but the food is so good and outstanding.. some of the best, Thai food in Louisville his wife knows what she is doing.. My friend and I were there this afternoon and it was great all the way around. The staff were friendly, helpful and kind. The food was unbelievable! I haven’t had Laab Gai this good since I lived in MN 15 years ago and the Pad Thai was the best I’ve had in the Louisville area. What a treat for my tastebuds.
