Delicious food, everything we ordered was amazing, very friendly staff . The duck curry was delicious.

It was a super awesome experience! The atmosphere is very casual, prices are reasonable, and the food is so good! I had their Green Curry with a requested spice level of 3 (I wanted heat, but that may have been more than what I wanted. I think a 2 would have been better, so I'll try that if I'm in the area again). I tried their tofu as I wanted something new, and I liked it. (I haven't had much tofu, so I can't say how I would rank that compared to other places.) My favorite was probably the Chicken Soup with its amazing broth! Seriously awesome!

I'm starting to realize how much I love Thai food, as I think every one I've gone to has gotten 5 stars from me! Here is NO different. Great staff, atmosphere, and very affordable. $9.50 for a huge lunch that comes with a side soup and little wonton. The soup was absolutely amazing on its own. The Thai Tea was one of the best I've had. I got the Basil entree with beef and it was fantastic in every way. A super rich and intense broth with fresh veggies and perfectly cooked beef.

Honestly, a weird location and we didn’t have high hopes but, this Thai restaurant definitely stands out in terms of their fabulous flavors. They have extremely friendly staff and great service. We had Spring Rolls, Yellow Curry and Sesame Chicken. Everything tasted wonderful. A lot of great flavors and textures without being too heavy. Portion sizes are great at an affordable price, even had some to take home. I highly recommend anyone and definitely going back!

Primero probamos los ‘Chicken Satay’. Me sorprendió que pidieron mantener un sabor predominante a coco, como lo prometía el menú. Los pedazos de pollo estaban tan suaves que se desprendian con facilidad de los palitos.

Luego el caldo de res (servido los viernes). Te prometo que será bien distinto a lo que esperas. Me tomó de sorpresa el sabor de anís en el caldo, e inicialmente me preocupe por pasadas experiencias negativas con varios chichaitos (el que sabe, sabe). Pero, me asentó muy bien en el estómago y me calentó perfectamente para este clima tan frío.

Por último probe el ‘Mongolian BBQ’. Que plato más rico. Una combinación de agrío y dulce, desbordanosé de carne y vegetales. Era tanta comida que me lleve la carne que me quedaba y me hice más arroz en mi casa para combinarlo. Así de rico estuvo.

Best Thai in Muncie. Service is great, food is always good, and it makes for a very quick lunch. Restaurant is well taken care of. It is larger than it looks, but always has a crowd. Plenty of parking behind the building. One of the best lunches you can get, the soup is amazing!

Food was terrible. Chicken Pad Thai smelled and tasted burnt. Paid for extra chicken and it was tough. Forced myself to eat a few bites before having to stop.

Thia Smile has been my favorite since childhood. Their sesame chicken is simply my favorite food on this planet. I have never been a soup guy, but I would trade all my possessions for a never ending bowl of their soup/broth.

I dont know if this is what passes for Thai food in Indiana but its by far the worst I've ever had. Just completely inedible, the only thing I could stomach was the Gyoza and the Thai tea. The rest of my food was atrociously bad.

If you think this is good thai food, please go somewhere other than Muncie and try the food there. It will blow. your. mind.

I have eaten here before--but it was quite a while ago. I am not a local. Since we were in town, we decided to stop for lunch. I had spring rolls (really good--all of us really love them), a chicken soup came with the meal (not to my liking--the cinnamon doesn't work for me, but it's a free addition to the entree), and cashew chicken. The cashew chicken was very good. They included lots of chicken and a good variety of vegetables. The vegetables were perfectly cooked, with a little crunch which I prefer. I love cashews, so I would have liked even more in my dish, but it was adequate. The portions are enormous. I could only eat 1/3 of the entree, but I ate spring rolls, too. The leftovers would make another meal. For $52 we had: 2 orders of cashew chicken, 1 daily special--it was some kind of spicy dish, 2 orders of spring rolls and soups.

We used to love Thai Smile 2. The service has gone way way downhill. What’s worse is that they have grouper on the menu but serve you swai. Grouper is a delicious meaty fish. Swai is a trash Asian catfish. The texture is mealy and gross. So we’ve ordered garlic fish when it WAS grouper. They seared the fish and the fish was incredible. Now they try to pass swai off, don’t tell you that it’s a different fish and are breading it and frying it. The first time this happened, I asked them to ask the kitchen if it was actually grouper because it didn’t have. The texture of grouper. I didn’t find out that it was swai until I had already ordered and started my meal. You have a responsibility NOT to misrepresent your customers!

If this happened once, I’d write it off as an isolated incident. But I went back over a month later to get it hoping it was grouper. It was still on the menu as grouper. I asked before ordering if they could confirm what fish it was… it was swai. No big deal (except that the menu wasn’t updated after serving unsuspecting customers for more than a month at that point), I ordered something else. Next time was a month or two after that. Same story. I ordered something else.

Tonight was the nail in the coffin for me. 2 more months passed. i did my usual ask before ordering what was once my favorite dish. They said it was grouper. I was excited. Got it and immediately knew I had been duped. Took a bite and it was swai. The texture is obvious. It’s one thing if you have trouble getting a product. I own a restaurant. I get it. It’s another thing to flat out lie to people and charge $21 for a dish that should be priced much lower based on the bottom of the barrel fish being served. That’s like saying wagyu and serving choice beef. It’s wrong. I asked. They lied and when I politely told the server that what I was served was not grouper, she caught an attitude and didn’t even try to offer something else. I wasn’t looking for a free meal. I just wanted to order something different. Instead, I shared with my daughter. The check came and the meal I didn’t eat was on the ticket.

Anyway, there is a better option for Thai food in Muncie and they’ll have my business going forward. All you had to do was be honest to your customers. What you’re doing is unethical (and illegal).

Only place in town that actually puts crab (real or not idc, tastes good) in their crab ragoons. Service is excellent. Never disappoints. Pad Thai is top tier.

This place is the absolute best! When you come here, expect delicious and warming meals. The atmosphere is also wonderful and the service never fails to impress me. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!

This is one of our favorite places in town for dine in, take out and delivery! The food is consistently great, hot and fresh. We love: Basil with Chicken, Pad Thai and Sesame Chicken. Highly recommend supporting this local business!

This was my first time eating there. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The ambience on the inside was wonderful. The menu has great options (and the prices are really worth it). The portions are definitely good. I left full but not overly stuffed. The Thai iced tea is also wonderful. I’ll definitely be back.

Food was okay, my massaman curry was actually Mango curry, which isn't what I ordered, by I was ok with it. Service was lackluster. Was excited to visit the ice cream shop next door, but was closed at 828p. Maybe another day, or maybe not.

This is my favorite Thai restaurant in Muncie! They have fabulous bubble teas now. I always order the kao soy (yellow curry) with either chicken or tofu with crispy noodles. My husband gets the basil stir fry and loves it with three star spice level. It’s never not been good.

After ordering $80 worth of food for take-out, steamed dumplings shouldn't be the highlight of a 4+ star rated restaurant.

All the meats in the entrees were tough such as the Duck Basil, Sesame Chicken and the beef in the Pad Thai. Notably the sesame chicken was a pile of mushy breading, also one of the first bites taken had a piece of bone in it. The flavor of the duck was good, but with it being dry it wasn't great. The pad thai was good, but again the added beef felt like it had no place in the dish despite it being an option on the order.

The appetizers were already lukewarm. The steamed dumplings tasted good, but the crab rangoon and fried calamari fell flat. The styrofoam containers did not help those 3 dishes to retain heat.

I can only hope that people don't experience the food this way if they eat inside of the restaurant. We ordered for 5:15 PM, but the food seemed like it had sit out for a while.

Maybe it was an off day, so considering that it is definitely 2 stars for what we got from this restaurant.

I love Thai Smile, but I was tricked by Google and Door Dash to think the "order online" feature from Google search was a safe way to order for pickup. I was wrong. On a $33 bull t for lunch, Door Dash included $10 of upcharges. My bill should have only been $24. Complete scam and will never use Door Dash again to order. Anyone ordering from Thai Smile should go directly to the restaurant website. Door Dash will take your money!

When my husband and I used to live in Muncie this place was a staple!! We miss it now that we’re out of town and are sure to visit whenever we’re in Muncie! Best to go during the week as weekends can be pretty busy. Nothing is very spicy so if you like heat order hot!

The few times I have gone the food was ok, the restaurant just was not very clean, and the ownership and wait staff were not very welcoming. The last time I went to go a little over an hour before they close, and they turned me away saying they had closed the kitchen for the last hour and were not taking any other orders.... Even though they were still open for another hour. Very weird and honestly distasteful for a restaurant to turn away customers an hour before they close. Will not be back due to this last experience.

Best spot for lunch, dinner, and carry out in Muncie. The owner is so great, lunch includes a lovely soup. You can eat here on a 30 minute lunch break in the summer. It's also my go-to for carry out.

Soups are horrible. 1 to 2 dishes are good. The go to dish, pad Thai is fair at best. Very poor service. I told the owner that I had to leave if the food wasn't coming out being eight minutes past the due time on my lunch break. He told me to go ahead and leave if I want. I waited for him anyway to come back and tell me that there's six orders in front of me. I left and won't come back

My sweet precious wife took me here for my 71st birthday meal, and
I absolutely loved the Panang Chicken with peanut sauce, and the Thai Tea is luscious!!! I highly recommend trying it out. If you like sweet drinks, you'll definitely like this tea. And if you like peanut butter flavor, you'll also love the Panang chicken. I always like to put the white rice inside the peanut sauce; it is so yummy. Go ahead, give this place a try, and you won't be disappointed!!!!!!

We go here at least once a week. This is my favorite restaurant in Muncie.

Pad kee mao, pad thai, and the fried rice are my faves...choose your spice level: 1(mild) - 5(very spicy). The dining room is currently closed due to COVID, but they have a drive thru window...order online and pick up at the window. The food and service is always great. The owners are friendly and have family who run another Thai Smile in Richmond, KY.

This is the best Thai food I’ve ever had. I do not even remember what I order there, I get something different every time, and I have only been a few times. However, every time is amazing. The food is bold, full-bodied, fresh, authentic, and aromatic. I have to drive about an hour, but it is so worth it.

They’ll be closed when you want some

Before Covid, I enjoyed eating here a few times a month. After Covid I still eat here, although once a month, and I appreciate the efforts they've put in to keep their staff and customers safe. With drive thru pick up and distances tables, they've been consistent in changing as needed to keep their doors open.

This is 2 times in a row I have called to order take out and told to call back in 20 minutes. When I call back they tell me to call back in 20 minutes again and I say you've told me that once and they say oh well we are done taking orders for today. The close at 9 and its 6:30. This place will never receive my business again and I hope others see this warning and follow suit
